Worst Chinese food restaurant in the state. Sesame chicken tastes like burnt oil, not sesame. It had a few seeds scattered on it. I asked for Fried Rice to substitute the white rice and what I got was rice mixed with soy sauce. I asked about that and she said, well, when you substitute, you get "plain fried rice." (whatever that's supposed to mean) Dirty restaurant, dirty, stinky restroom. I wish I could give it less than one star.

It's in the hood... The sesame chicken is really good but the pork fried rice and egg rolls are just okay. Nice employees and the food was ready super fast.

I saw the reviews and decided to stop and give this place a try. We all like trying new things,right? I ordered spicy shrimp. I receive five baby shrimp, a butt load of bell peppers and a few carrots & onions. They left out the spice too! Who puts two bell peppers in an entree??? You can go across the street and get 2x better food.

They dnt listen what your order!! They give you want they want to sell away! I order the combination chicken bowl with pork chow mein and the damn lady (not the young one she did listen) gave me dry teriyaki chicken. The teriyaki sauce was definitely not teriyaki sauce it was more like stir fry sauce but nasty!! Definitely won’t be coming for a second chance ever again!! Definitely Thumb DOWN!!

It's a meh kinda place. My first time trying jt got the lunch plate w orange chicken sesame chicken and egg roll. Rhe egg roll was pretty decent. The fried rice is literally just rice no veggies so that's cool or whatever. And then the meat isn't like sauced in anything the chickens are the same just different sauces. Bur not sauced like others places. Rhe chicken kinda tasted the same way Mcdonaldz chicken nuggets taste. Service was fast. Maybe their other stuff is better

Been coming here for almost 30 years it's very good food, but the area is very bad , homeless people, traffic , regardless of all that we still go out of our way to order pick up here

I love this place, have been going here since I was a child. Lots of family memories. Beef noodle bowl I swear and live by. Thank you for being here

We ordered food and specified an allergy and when I received my food it had egg. Yes I was upset. But I took it back and she made sure it was made fresh and was ok before I left and gave me a snapped.

Crazy value per dollar, wanted some good Chinese take out since i was visiting on a work trip. This hit the spot, portions are huge food is hot and fresh.

Easily the nastiest thing I've ever had at a chinese place. I ordered Chicken Chowmein, i received White rice, chicken, cruncy noodles on top, with a turkey gravy. Never coming back

I've tried it twice since new management but rice is always a bit hard when I get Mongolian beef. This time I dined in asked the lady if they can remake it because the rice was hard and it came back in 3 seconds no lie. I gave it another chance the rice was still hard at this point I just asked for my money back. Sweet lady who helped me and understood but as I was walking away she was getting yelled at from a angry cook lol Loved coming here, I miss the rude old little lady that used to work here, never thought I'd say that. Mongolian beef Looks can be deceiving.

Chinese in a small strip mall. When you walk-in there are friendly signs directing you on where to go to order food and menu is posted on the wall. You continue to the two cashiers who are very polite and friendly. They welcome you a hello and how are you. Quick and efficiently they get your order. We grab a seat they bring you your food and it is delicious. I had orange chicken that actually had a hint of orange to it and the juice at the bottom of the container was delicious. I also had some teriyaki chicken with rice. Also delicious and so tender. Both items were easy to cut with the plastic fork without issues. My husband had the wonton soup, it was very fresh and it was good. The shrimp fried rice compacted in the container was delicious and cooked just right. I everything was super fresh. I will be ordering from here again and will recommend.

I have seen the kickten staff without gloves and hairnets. This places is very unsanitary, I have seen multiple roaches while waiting for my food making me loose my appetite. This place needs new management the male manager has very short temper and yells at everyone complaining. If any restaurant should shut down it should be this company.

I ordered a lot of food; wor wonton soup, house friend rice, sweet sour pork, beef noodles, general tsao chicken, and chicken wings and plain rice. It was for take out. It was good overall but the only thing about the wor wonton soup was missing the wontons. I was super bummed out. Overall food was good.

I ordered food to bring home for my family got home and opened the dinner bowl of teriyaki beef and a cockroach literally ran out of it. I knocked it on the floor and killed it. Will not be going back. Absolutely disgusting. $60 worth of food literally thrown in the garbage.

Back at it again! The cooler weather has my family craving Tang's Happy food! Our go to is the wonton soup and shrimp fried rice, you cannot go wrong!

I think it's under new management Food is definitely TRASH nothing compared to what it used to I am definitely never going back there again

Disappointed wait the service was very nice but the food ooooh no we prefer chicken fried rice chicken Undercooked !!!! Still wet and pink Beef bowl horrible full of salt HAPPY NOT!!! But thanks for the hospitality I wont be back

Lunch special -cashew chicken rice bowl. After years not going, The food simply does not taste the same! It lost its taste.

I hate soggy orange chicken . But happy foods orange chicken always crispy in every bite. This has been our go to spot when craving Chinese food the service is amazing lil on the pricey side but is worth every bite it's a must go too

This is what $30 equates to at this HF location. The beef is (allegedly) mongollion beef; however, it is literally inedible. It tastes nothing like mongollion beef and has zero green onions. The chicken is (allegedly) mongollion chicken; however, it looks and tastes like teriyaki chicken. I cannot fathom how this place has 4 stars. I've been to other happy food locations with great success. I threw the beef and chicken away. Literally could not eat it. Even *if* my order was switched with someone else's, this food is not worth the money or the calories. :/

Love This Place Happy Food Chicken Fried Rice Is My Absolute Favorite Food Chinese Rather

The food isn't as good as it used to be. They batter the food with no flavor. I don't think they have the same cooks or they just got lazy. The service has never been nice but the food used to make up for it. The location is on the westside and was a go to place for locals but I'm not a fan anymore.

I was so disappointed. This has been a spot my family went to for years and had always been so good. Well I was so excited to order from here and while they got my food to me in a timely manner, the taste was not there. I ordered #15 shrimp chop suey and sweet and sour pork with fried rice and an eggroll. And everything was awful. The shrimp chop suey consisted of a shit load of bean sprouts with a sliver of celery and carrots. But like barely any. And like 5 small shrimp. The sweet and sour pork was the most edible item I had, but the eggrolls, so disappointing, had absolutely no flavor and I ordered an extra 2 thinking I was gonna love them. I also ordered cream cheese ragoons and they didn't quite hit the spot either ( and it's hard to mess up cream cheese and egg roll wrappers) I spent almost $30 and ended up throwing most of it away because it simply was not tasty.

Great service! I always get the shrimp fried rice and orange chicken. Both are amazingly delicious! I like how with the order of orange chicken you get white rice.

They have the best sesame chicken I've ever had. Yeah, there's tons of other good stuff, like the Mongolian beef or vegetable lo mein, but I keep coming back for the same thing almost every time. Prices are reasonable; you can get a meal for 2 for like $8. Is it in a crappy part of town? Oh heavens yes. But that's how you know it's legit. Don't wuss out, go out of your way to try a tasty, local restaurant. Service is really nice, and they get your order out with haste. I just wish they'd bring back the 80s arcade machines in the dining area.

So I get to the restaurant and I want to say it's the owner on the phone and she is taking an order with customers in front of her.... she then tells the customer in front of her 'why you call and not ne ready to order' yes she was talking shit about her paying customers ... So I ordered this soup and there is NO WONTONS in it but they put these fried things on top so I guess those are the wontons.... nope those are not wontons I am soooooo disappointed with this place. Although my daughter said that their beef broccoli is good here I will NEVER order the wonton soup again... on the plus side they do make all the food as you order, so nothing has been sitting for hours. This doesn't taste like wonton soup... so sad

Man this is definitely a let down. There was bugs inside the restaurant that you can see through the windows. They have many traps aswell that are visible aswell. The chicken looked so bad. Looked like gray brains. I was told the food was all glory and 10/10. It was def the worse Chinese takeout ive had in my life. Chow mein is like fake. I was there as the first customer right when it opened and it was fresh as can be. Never again. Made me look like an idiot when i brought it home for the family and was disgusted.

I ordered the teriyaki chicken fried rice bowl . The chicken was 100 percent cooked them refrigerated and microwaved to serve the consistency was not right . On the the rice , way over seasoned with soy sauce . Might as well be soy rice . I ate half because I just spent money and was hungry but now I regret it . My stomach is doing jumping jacks already . Spend the extra $2 and go to Panda Express .

Been going here for 32 yrs since I was a kid love their food drive 20 miles for it but boy this last time the lady at the window rude rude rude ! Then sitting in the car waiting cause you have to order at the window I watch her kill flys with a fly swatter on the window then hand people their food! She did not wash her hands! Little while later I go to get the food and she pushes it out the window and just shut the window no thank you no nothing! What happened to customer service! And how dare you ask for soy sauce !

This Chinese food makes me want to move to the West Valley!! I live in Central Phoenix but work in Maryvale. I don't eat heavy food during the week, but I splurge on weekends. Today is a rare Saturday that I was working, and I decided to pick up Happy Food to bring home for dinner. It is by far the best Chinese around! First of all, the portions are HUGE!! I ordered lo mein, sweet and sour pork, cream cheese puffs, and an egg roll. I'm pretty sure my husband and I can each get 2 or 3 meals out of this! The lo mein is unlike any I've ever had. There is no brown sauce, so you really taste the stir fried noodles, and the beef isn't chewy like at a lot of Chinese restaurants. The sweet and sour pork was super crispy and tender, even after my 25 minute drive home. Same with the crab puffs--crispy and delicious!! My only complaint is that the egg roll was not very crispy. The flavor was good, but I prefer a smaller bit more crisp egg roll. Beyond tasting great, they are fast and very reasonably priced. I ordered online, and it was ready when I got there 10 minutes later. I paid $35 before tip, and, as I said, I expect this to provide several meals! Happy Food, please open a second location in Central Phoenix! :)

Food is awesome! Place is clean. But the customer service is lacking. Expect to be rushed out. Know what you want when you get there.

Decent food and wait times. Stingy with the chili oil though. Lady in front always has something to say if I ask for more. I'm willing to pay extra for the oil but save your judgment.

Just ok. The Kung Pao Chicken was made with frozen vegetables. No peanuts and no spice. Egg foo young was kind of chewy, also seemed to be frozen and not fresh. Best item was egg rolls. Probably won't go back. Not impressed.

On my way home from the mall, I planned on stopping at a fast food joint. My sister pointed this out and we turned around to pull up. Soooo glad we did. There's not many quality Chinese restaurants near me, so this place is a gem. I ordered shrimp fried rice and orange chicken with 3 egg rolls. Everything was delicious. It is definitely worth a drive, so I will definitely be back to fill my Chinese food cravings.

Simply put, the food is extremely mediocre. I got the rice and Mongolian beef lunch bowl. It was 90% rice. The beef was flavorless. The lady working the window (because no eat in) was completely unfriendly. She didn't like that I asked for napkins, soy sauce and chop sticks. Huh? Shouldn't those be in automatically?! I asked a question about item 39. Basically I couldn't find it on the menu. After a huff, she advised it was only an appetizer. I guess they should take the time to update the menu or not get pushed out of shape when questions are asked. I do NOT recommend this place at all.

The food here is pretty good you get a lot of it for the price. the teriyaki chicken is real Chinese teriyaki chicken. it is going to be salty, not sweet the sweet kind like you get from Panda Express (an Americanized version). I did talk to the owners and they did immigrate from China so your getting real Chinese takeout. She is really nice and if she seems abrupt and short with you, it's because she's busy she's just doing her job she's not rude she's just you know getting it done.

Pretty good Chinese food, and it looks pretty safe during covid which is a plus. The only thing was the rice was a little dry but I don't eat that much rice anyways. The meats had great flavor

The food was okay. The lady serving and taking orders is rude and apparently likes to come up with her own prices to charge for a refill. It said on her little piece of paper that the refill was 90cents, yet she charged me 98cents. I don't know who would even charge a random number like 98cents, unless you're just coming up with them as you go. So yeah she can go shove that 8cents up her ass since she needed it so much and I won't be going back. I've had better Chinese food and SERVICE else where.

I had to work today at this place as a sub contractor. Not only have i never met such a passionate restaurant owner..I have never met such a wonderful caring nice person as this owner is. She is absolutely amazing. Sometimes I recieve tips but she gave me food for my whole family. That means so much more than money. And the food is fantastic. Chinese food is always the same until I had her food with her amazing kitchen staff. And having access to the kitchen unlike most customers....the kitchen is very clean. I'm not one to leave reviews but I had to do this. Thank you

The lady at the counter was not friendly. The food was greasy and full of MSG. I said no msg. Now I have a MSG headache. Skip this place. Low quality garbage. Oh yeah. The counter lady bagged up the food like she was bagging garbage. I should have known. Unhappy food. Unhappy place. Unhappy customer. I had the pepper steak. Very salty and chewy. Let me just warn any neighbors to keep your cat indoors and away from windows.

The food here is always delicious. A little bit pricey for being a small restaurant that is mostly take out. The portions are good and can usually feed 2 people. Service is okay, but when getting take out it doesn't really matter all that much.

Most authentic food and the portion big! I always get the shrimp lo mein and ask for it spicy.
