Happy Ice

Happy Ice is a spot that literally can make anyone happy. They have the most delicious mixes of sorbet, or just a clean, delicious vanilla soft serve. Regardless of what flavor you get you will be satisfied. I’ve brought my girls here many times and have always been met with smiles, great service, and delicious treats.

If you’ve ever had Joe’s Italian Ice in Anaheim and have a craving for Italian ice and gelatti but don’t want to drive that far, LOOK NO FURTHER. I ordered a mange, strawberry, and pineapple with their dairy ice cream and it was amazing. Jade was absolutely the sweetest employee I’ve encountered in a long time but she went above and beyond! She let me try multiple flavors and even added that their OAT NON DAIRY ice cream was actually first before the dairy and she let me try the OAT ice cream on the side and let me tell you, I’m getting that from now on. I’m so happy I don’t have to drive to Anaheim anymore when I have this awesome spot right here! Definitely recommend trying this place if you haven’t.

One of the best and most unique desserts you’ll find in LA The ice is so soft and smooth, creamy, not overly sweet or sugary, and tastes great! The ice cream is so thick and rich and wonderful Staff is always fantastic If I lived across the street I’d be here every other day

My Family and i LOVE this place. We have been following Happy Ice since the Melrose Location. The staff members are always so friendly and the Famous Owner is Always around. We are so Happy this location is now closer to us. Keep up the great work. The Delicious flavors are so amazing. So colorful and vivid.

Happy Ice is my favorite non dairy treat! I love the strawberry mixed with cherry! The ladies Anahí & Jade have excellent customer service! It’s always a pleasure coming to Happy Ice! You can’t beat a treat with sweet customer care. 10/10.

This place is amazing! You can really taste a difference with every flavor, and the ice cream adds so much to it. The entire area has this very colorful happy theme. Dont eat it while its cold though hahaha, it will freeze you. Everyone is very nice, and the color changing spoons are such a nice touch!

My friend and I went here and she got her ice but when it came to me the guy wouldn't look at me or talk to me so I ended up just standing there feeling really bad. I tried hers and it was good and the place seems nice at least. I really wanna support this place but I left feeling really badly.

Service was very friendly and extremely welcoming. I have been obsessed with Happy Ice since I first tried it and continues to satisfy all my cravings. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a refreshing dessert! Hoping they open up a location in Santa Clarita soon

HAPPY ICE in Northridge?!?! Don't mind if I do! This location is close to CSUN in a large shopping center frequented by Matadors. Large free parking lot that doesn't seem to run out of space. There was a short line to order. Our giant party was easily accommodated by the the super friendly, supper HAPPY staff. Flavors were good. Ice has great texture. Trusted the server and she gave us an awesome choice. Also, she mad it really pretty!

We went for an evening sweet treat. I got the Summer Time Gelati-- the flavors are Sweet Watermelon, Strawberry, and Mango Tango. The cream and ice together are a cool twist, but the flavor profile doesn't quite hit where it would make me crave this often. I probably wouldn't get this weekly for a sweet treat but would recommend Happy Ice for friends who are looking for something different. Think summer festival energy in a cup: colorful and unique. The staff was very friendly and wasn't busy around 7pm. It might not be my forever favorite, but it is a good pick-me-up on a hot day.

FRESH PEACH SUNDAE...Thank me later! Honestly this is a one of a kind dessert that has got to make it on some kind of best of LA list because there is simply nothing like it. I won't even do it justice by describing it, but the Happy Ice crew has captured the most perfect peach bite with their fresh peach ice flavor, added a layer of perfectly smooth vanilla to it, and topped it with fresh cut peaches and peach puree. It's perfection and there is truly nothing like it anywhere in the world!

I've been wanting to try Happy Ice for a while now and I'm so glad there's a location near me now. It's located in a bit of a busy parking lot with lots of other food spots. Very family friendly ambiance. Great service, we got a quick run down of the flavors and I tried the rainbow rocket. Super yummy and good for a hot day. I love how it's non dairy and water based! It is a little pricey, a small was about $6. I'm definitely gonna bring my nephews here to try it out.

My friends and I went to go get some Happy Ice after our dinner. It's a yummy sweet treat that packs a ton of flavor! You can choose between the gelati (vanilla only, from the machine) or the water ice (hand-scooped, and can be any mix of flavors of your choosing or the ones on the menu). You can also do both with the gelati on top! Toppings you can include for free is condensed milk, white chocolate, crushed oreos, and sprinkles. The water ice was smooth textured and perfect for a hot day. You can also get free samples to try out a flavor! The lady was super friendly and nice! Price wise, the small is $6 but I didn't finish it and had lids for to-go. Meanwhile some people don't mind grabbing the pint size (bigger than large) to have more for future also! My mix of flavors was yummy and went for what I was going for! (Sour apple, blue raspberry, pineapple, mango). PS Bathroom has a code but make sure you knock first because there's no lock if someone is inside!

Love Happy Ice! It's the perfect summer treat. I had their rainbow rocket which includes all of their ice flavors. Next time I'll have to try it with ice cream. Service was great and the shop is so cute inside. There is plenty of seating, too.

I have known about happy ice for a while but never knew they cater! They give a huge chests that stays cool for 5-8 hours. You can get up to 4 flavors and they have signature ones to choose from. You can't go wrong with any flavor really. I'm so happy they brought this to the valley because they were far from me in LA for the longest. The staff was so nice and helpful. They helped me to my car as well. The parking however is very tight where they are located so be careful with backing out. It was also super busy on a Saturday. I plan to go back and enjoy in the store. Thanks happy ice!

I enjoyed this place! Happy Ice is like having a melted-down popsicle with a large variety of flavor options to mix and match! You also add ice cream. It's a sweet lover's dream. The price is affordable, and the portion size is generous--a small size was substantial enough for me, while the larger portion was big enough to share. The staff was knowledgeable and welcoming. The location is small but cozy! I highly recommend it if you love ice cream and popsicles. I got myself and my two children each a cup around $20 plus tax! :)

I was looking for a new dessert place and ended up finding my favorite one - Happy Ice is SO good. We got the seasonal peach flavor with non-dairy soft serve which actually had chunks of the skin in it, so you know it's actually real. It was a great treat without being overly sweet and was very refreshing. I'll definitely be back!

This place kept popping up on my social media so I had this on my bucket list when I'm in town. Lot's of parking at this location. The staff was very friendly and patient with our large group. The dessert was very refreshing and the texture is smooth.

Staff was amazing and very helpful. They let you sample which helps you narrow down your choice. "The Machine " tastes like an old school Big Stick popsicle (cherry, pineapple, mango). The "All Star " tastes like a bomb pop! (Cherry, blue raspberry, lemonade ). Will be back to try more flavors!

WOW! This place is very delicious. I usually don't like popsicles or snow cone type of desserts. But this place has the most flavorful and delicious fruity ice treats. Super soft and tastes natural. Their gelati has a non dairy option as well. Very cooling during the summer!

Loved!! My sister and I needed a pick-me-up and this was perfect! True happiness in a cup! And the place itself makes you happy too: from the welcoming staff, the colorful walls and chairs, to the neon quote inside. Super cute spot that's a great addition to our community! The gelati specialty is the way to go. I can be picky about my desserts, & their vanilla soft serve is top tier. Not too sweet, perfectly balances the gelato, and leaves you wanting more. I tried Summer Time, with the dairy-based vanilla soft serve. Absolutely delish!! Staff & management are so friendly and this is a perfect place to grab a refreshing sweet treat. The location is clean and there's plenty of indoor seating. Parking can be tricky, but that's always been the case with this plaza. If you're lucky, they're trying out new recipes & might have samples to give. Definitely will be returning here soon.

Finally got to try this with our kids. We all loved it. I like this kind of dessert because I am bot into sweets. Its refreshing for me, my kids loved the falvors too and you could also add vanilla ice cream if you want...the service was incredible, I assume their college kods and they are so nice and helpful. The inside is really cute!! I loved how neat and clean it is especially the wall paints, so colorful

This place has been on my list when they were only on wheels. I also forget to grab some on my way out from downtown Disney. You can imagine my joy when I found out they opened a location here in the valley. The place is spacious, clean and has plenty of seating. I had a warm welcome upon entering and was immediately helped by Liz, who informed me about all of their flavors/options. Think of this place as a Rita's (IYKYK). Liz offered all of the possible samples and even suggested the perfect gelati combination. I couldn't recommend this place enough and thank Liz for providing such great customer service and making our first visit great. Definitely coming back here..all the time ;P

I wish I would have taken pictures of my water ice! They gave out free samples. It is the best and tasted delicious! I definitely want to come back and try it with ice cream. Staff was extremely friendly!

Absolutely amazing. One of the best desserts you can have in Los Angeles. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The ice is not icy but not creamy, it's a really unique and delicious texture almost like a cross between custard and Korean shaved ice. It's not overly sweet and has great fruit flavors. And the softserve is outstanding. So thick and rich and delicious!!

I'm soooooo glad that we have a HAPPY ICE in the valley I was in the area today having lunch and decided that this was gonna be my sweet stop I've been to the Melrose location several times but this spot has more room and more PARKING. Service was excellent and cheerful as always I was greeted with a smile as soon as I got in. If you ever need a pick me up....visit Happy Ice. Your mood will instantly change for the better. The atmosphere or ambiance is very umm...HAPPY Today I chose my own 3 flavors....yummm.

My friend has been to their other location and told me about this new one when they were still "coming soon"! Haven't gotten the chance to try it till today. Parking lot is a bit busy and almost always full here but if you don't mind walking, the parking towards the Reseda end of the lot is almost always vacant. My bf and I shared a Regular: Blue Raspberry, Watermelon, Lemonade topped with Vanilla Sweet Cream. I love how they scoop all the flavors together to make it look all multicolor and cool! The flavors worked perfectly together and I highly recommend the vanilla sweet cream topping. Didn't catch the worker's name but he made sure to have that "happy" tone in his voice and greeted every single customer who walked in. Plenty of seating and even have the option of high top seating (bar stools). Absolutely delicious Italian ice and love that it has its own home here since it's a rare find amongst all the froyo and ice cream spots around. It's cute and it's was good. It was a long line through so we had to wait a bit. The employees were sweet and moving as fast as they could. They are hand mixing the swirls in the ice cream which was amazing. Overall a good experience and good feeling.

What's better than really good sorbet and gelati?? Really great service! We walked in 40 minutes prior to closing. There was a large family and a few more people ahead of us. After we walked in though. People began pouring in. The line stacked all the way to the back of the store. Leonard, the only employee working there was funny, kind, and just genuinely happy! HAPPY ICE! He acknowledged everyone coming in to the store, greeted them. He made sure to address everyone waiting. He truly did the best he could to accommodate. Not once wqs he frustrated or upset or angry, and it truly made for a wonderful experience. Its a bright clean store. With simple flavors. No frill toppings. And just really good sorbet and soft serve Gelato.

It was soooooo hot over the weekend and so I had to go to Happy Ice for some gelati!!! I went sour apple and lemonade water ice (or like we said back in DE and PA, WOODER ice) with the oat milk soft serve. Yes the water ice is already vegan so no worries there.

Great dessert spot, especially on a hot day. Workers are always friendly. Delicious flavors. Lots of variety. They even let you taste test before buying. Creamy, smooth, and dairy free if you get the option without ice cream. Plenty of tables and chairs inside. Happy Ice is located in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking.. Decent selection of ready made pints available for purchase.

Great new spot in the Valley and close to me which is a bonus. Nice refreshing treat, vegan friendly, nice clean flavors, not artificial tasting at all, ice cream is very good, smooth and creamy, I really liked it. When we went, the owner happened to be there, very friendly and asked how we liked everything and seemed genuinely interested in us as customers, which is very cool. Love the logo and how it is bright and clean inside. Simple menu and just a very welcoming vibe here. They have a Happy Ice truck to go to functions at schools, businesses, fundraisers, etc. Check it out. This location is right near CSUN, so a great spot for the College kids as well as families and just anyone in the valley. Looks like they have 3 locations, this one, one in LA and one in Philly, so we are lucky to have one so close. Go out and enjoy a nice Italian Ice or gelati (ice cream on top), choose your flavors, let them choose or get them all. Go wild and support a local small business. Join their reward club via Toast and for every 100 points, you get $5.00 off. Enjoy!

Valley People Rejoice! Happy Ice is finally here near CSUN! I have been to the Downtown Disney location but this is so much closer! Dairy free, nut free, gluten free & vegan friendly. The staff is happy and the cold treats are popping. Excited to welcome you guys to Reseda/Northridge! My favorite is the Time Machine - tastes like a Big Stick but in a cup! Add vanilla gelati for a treat boost! Located in the Auto Zone shopping center at the intersection of Nordhoff & Reseda. Get happy!

OMG FINALLY - a happy ice in the valley!! The perfect sweet treat - after dinner, after school after and/or before literally anything. I love Rita's Italian ice but happy ice's consistency is 10000000x better. And the staff are all so nice and happy. 10/10!

this place is the best thing to ever exist since sliced bread please never close. I wish I could take this store to the afterlife when I die. I love this shaved ice so much this is incredible. The place is super cute and conveniently in my neighborhood I can't believe I hadn't tried it out sooner.

I ordered a Rainbow Rocket which is ALL of their flavors. The flavors are so good and not artificial tasting at all. Would love to get them catered in the future as the prices seem super affordable. Service is good even when they're busy. Everyone's really friendly. So glad they're in my part of town to finally try them.

A new ice cream place in the valley. It's really refreshing and good! My kids loved it! Must get the gelati with the ice cream on top. The only thing I would add..is that they need to put more ice cream for the gelati speciality orders! Otherwise, the water is smooth and has a nice tart taste! This place is vegan friendly. Even the ice cream has dairy and non dairy options. It's new, clean, and about 6-7 tables inside!

So excited that Happy Ice has made its way to the Valley! On Opening Day, my family and I tried the Rainbow Rocket Gelati with their new dairy ice cream, and wow--I was speechless. It felt like I was having two desserts in one! The perfect blend of smooth, creamy ice cream and refreshing water ice--it's honestly the best of both worlds. I also loved the little details, like the color-changing spoon they gave with my order. Not sure if that's a standard thing or just for the grand opening, but it was such a fun touch. And speaking of fun--the founder himself was there, chatting with customers and asked us about what we thought. He was genuinely interested in how we liked our choices. I loved how engaged and personable he was; it made the experience feel even more special. Lots of parking as it's in a relatively big plaza. There's some seating inside if you want to enjoy your dessert right away! Can't wait to go back!

We love Happy Ice and we're very excited to realize that they also have a location in Northridge (we were familiar with their Melrose) location. The Northridge location has a ton of parking and also has more indoor seating. The worker during our visit was extremely friendly and it was excellent service. The flavors are really good, we normally get the mix which has everything. We tried their ice cream this visit, which has a nice (almost marshmallow-like) taste. Overall we had a fantastic visit and are very happy that one is closer to our neighborhood. Happy Ice comes very, very, very, very recommended!

I first tried happy ice when they were just a truck driving around! Then they opened up a location on melrose and I would visit whenever I was in the area and when I saw that they opened up here!! Ahhh I am so happy. Their soft serve is great too so creamy and thick. I love their "shaved ice"! They are always so kind and happy to serve. And it's so colorful and cool just like the dessert they offer!

I'm so happy to see there's a store location near me! I first tried happy ice at one of their food trucks and was in love with the presentation and variety of flavors. When walking into the store location the gentleman working was very friendly and the inside was very clean with plenty of seating available. I ordered a rainbow rocket, which is a little bit of each flavor and my fiancé had made his own creation and added some of their dairy free vanilla ice cream on top. Everything came out beautifully and just as delicious as I remember when I first tried Happy Ice :)

This was my first visit and the service was great. I ordered a medium Watermelon and Sour Apple Ice with dairy-based Sweet Cream Ice Cream. It was very delicious and they also have non-dairy options.

Pure joy in a cup! We're always up for a cold treat, and Happy Ice really hit solid! Great flavors, and the consistency is so silky smooth! Staff was all nice, friendly, and HAPPY! Can't wait to come back here when it's actually hot out!

Cute place, very clean inside. Lots of tables. Lots of flavors and gelato. My granddaughter loved it. She had the shaved ice. Maybe next time we will try the gelato. Very helpful and friendly employee also.

My absolute favorite place! Wished there was one closer to home. But honestly do not mind driving a little over an hour to get our favorite water ice ! Happy Ice we need you in the 805!!! Today my family and I went to satisfy our craving and the staff working (around 5pm) had the best customer service !
