Happy Lamb - Review - Lynnwood - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Lynnwood just landed a location of a popular hot pot restaurant, joining outposts in Bellevue and the CID. Happy Lamb boasts a large selection of meats and sides, and we particularly love their rich bone marrow-based broth amped up with comforting curry or dried red chilies." - Gabe Guarente

Google
This was my first time at HL! I’ve been to plenty of hot pot spots around here, and most tend to be pretty low-key—but this one stood out, likely thanks to its prime location. The ambiance was great, and the service matched it. We chose the mild broth to keep things lighter and less oily, and went with the standard AYCE option (skipping the spice bar since it costs extra). The meat, shrimp, and veggies all tasted fresh, but we just don’t have the appetite to make AYCE worth it. My only gripe: they don’t offer a basic sauce! Note on my rating scale: Sharing this for transparency, as I recognize that a 3-star review may be misinterpreted as reflecting a mediocre experience. 5 stars – Exceptional: Outstanding food, service, and/or overall experience. Truly worth going out of your way for. (For example, we frequently make the drive from San Antonio to Austin just for Uchi.) 4 stars – Very Good: Exceeds expectations in quality, service, or ambiance. 3 stars – Good: A solid experience that meets expectations. I consider any place with 3 stars or above worthy of a return visit. 2 stars – Disappointing: Falls short in food quality or service. 1 star – Poor: Not recommended.

We are so glad that Happy Lamb is open in Lynnwood area. Their place is more modern than the Bellevue one. It’s nicely decorated, the atmosphere is great, clean, organize and we love the individual hotpot that they also have. Our server Her-Cheng is amazing. Very attentive to our needs. He is patient, respectful, and he made sure that we have a good experience dining here. We are definitely coming back. Would be nice to know about their rules on free AYCE for birthday person somewhere online. I somehow can’t find it in their website or in this google post

Google
This place almost always has a long wait, so I highly recommend coming during off-peak hours if possible. Even if you put your name on the Yelp waitlist, it usually takes longer than the estimated time, so it’s best to check in with the host in person. Sometimes walk-ins actually get seated faster. Service wasn’t particularly fast, but the quality of the meat was very good, which made up for it. Overall, it was a satisfying experience and I’d definitely come back.

The new store in Lynnwood has a luxurious and spacious interior design with plenty of seating. It’s in a great location, right next to a mall for shopping. The hot pot tastes excellent—the broth is so flavorful that it’s delicious even without dipping sauce. We ordered the spicy pot and the mushroom pot; the spicy broth was fragrant but not overwhelming, while the mushroom broth was rich with tasty mushrooms. There’s a wide selection of meats and seafood, all very fresh. They also offer special snacks made with great care—the lamb wontons were especially delicious. It’s an all-you-can-eat experience without feeling heavy. Our whole family really enjoyed it, making it a perfect spot for both dining and family outings with kids.

We made reservations for 8 people a little over 2 weeks in advance for a Halloween hotpot night with family. We were seated at a 6 person table and were given 2 additional chairs. That would not have been a problem if it weren’t for the rude server who was not our server making a snide remarks that we were blocking the aisle due to the chairs being in the way and looking at me directly with a dirty look. First of all. It’s a party of 8. That should have been planned by the restaurant scheduler. It’s not our fault we were seated there. Had the restaurant done their job properly. I wouldn’t be putting this restaurant on blast for the worst service ever! Does it make any sense to seat a party of 8 at a booth that seats 6? It was hard to eat due to the lack of room, but since we were with family. We tried to make the best of it. Overall. The food was good. Our waitress was very attentive and handled us with care. We won’t be going back to this restaurant. It’s too chaotic and after being treated like that at the beginning. That’s the last $540.00 bucks this restaurant will ever get from me. Aldo. I think the 20 minute wait time to re order more food is tyrannical! People at a high premium and waiting 20 minutes to re order food is simply unreasonable! This was our first time going to this restaurant. Never Again!

Google
10/10 absolutely amazing! Our server Kim was so kind, too! The restaurant itself is clean and very aesthetically pleasing. But the food!? I was absolutely blown away. The curry soup base was my favorite. Everything was perfect! I honestly think the 20 minute wait between servings is brilliant. It gives you a chance to eat what you ordered and decide what you do next versus just ordering to order and then wasting food. Smart move! Edit to add: I loved my experience so much, I made my friend join me for lunch 4 days later. I asked for Kim specifically 😆

Google
We visited during the soft opening and opted for the à la carte menu instead of AYCE, spending about $70 before tip for two people and still having plenty of leftovers. My favorite was the grass fish. So fresh and crisp. For meats, we tried the Angus beef and beef short plate. The Angus was definitely better ; it’s more tender and less fatty. Dumplings were just okay (frozen, not really worth it). The napa cabbage came in a generous portion. Service was okay, though they’re clearly still figuring things out. We waited about 40 minutes just for our broths. Overall, the food quality is good, and we’d come back.

We really like the Bellevue location, so we were super excited that Alderwood was opening one too! We made a reservation a few days in advance (for 9/27 at 5 PM) with the soft opening discount. However, when we arrived, the front staff said our reservation was at 5 AM, which was odd since the restaurant isn’t even open then. 😅 We ended up waiting about half an hour before being seated. It seemed like they were a bit short-handed, as several tables were still waiting to be cleaned. Once seated, we got a table with individual hot pots, which was great since we could try different broth flavors. We really liked the broth at first, but after they refilled it with plain soup, the flavor was completely gone. It would be nice if refills could be done with the same flavored broth that was originally ordered. We ordered the premium AYCE option, but later found out that several items on the menu were not available. Love the freshness and quality of the ingredients. We also paid extra for the sauce bar, but unfortunately, most of the side dishes didn’t taste quite right — the fried chicken wings were the only thing we really enjoyed. The kimchi and marinated cucumber tasted really weird. We used to love the sauce bar items at the Bellevue location when we visited before summer, so maybe the recipes have changed. When we started ordering food, it came out in very small portions — sometimes just a few pieces. But toward the end, everything suddenly started arriving in double portions, and it got confusing which items we had already received. After the meal, we also found out that ice cream was out, which was a bit disappointing. Lastly, when we got the check, the soft opening discount wasn’t applied, and our server had to ask the manager to fix it. That said, all the staff were very friendly, and Ben in particular was super attentive and explained everything to us clearly. The new Alderwood location is spacious, bright, and beautifully decorated, and we’re hoping that once things smooth out after the soft opening, it’ll live up to the great experience we’ve had at Bellevue.

Yelp
The food was amazing! Very high tech and the workers were all very nice. Richard was my server and he made sure we had top notch service. He recommended the mushroom broth and it was better than a lot of other hot pot places. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Our server Brandon was fantastic, he correctly identified which meat was which and checked on us the perfect amount. The restaurant itself was excellent and had a nice ambiance. The food was great as well I would recommend coming here!

Yelp
I've been to the Bellevue location a few times and I'm happy that this location has opened as it's much closer to me. I had dinner here on Tuesday and had a positive experience. The decorations were cool. One thing is I wish they'd play music as I noticed some constant buzzing when my food was heating up. I felt lucky to be assisted by Ben and Kim. They were very attentive and came by often to make sure that our needs were met. Their friendliness and happiness contributed to our experience. We will definitely be coming back and recommending others this location.

Yelp
There is something that is divine when the food hits your palate and tears of beautiful memories come to mind. It was here at Happy Lamb that is occurred while eating the Lamb Shank. This was the first time coming to this restaurant. Jacky is the Regional Manager wonderful, kind and it was welcoming . All of the staff here are amazing and very knowledgeable of the menu and offerings. At the high end the bill for two with all you can eat is around $120. This is an all you could eat process. If you are wanting vegetarian, high-level cuts of meat, seafood, or a variety of all this is your place to go. The flavors are magical. This is a must to add to your dining experiences. The restaurant is a very airy and open feel. It holds several people yet does not feel crowded or too loud. It is very clean and when we went, they were playing wonderful Christmas music.

Yelp
We frequent a few different hot pot spots and decided to finally try Happy Lamb. The vibe and ambience immediately sets in when you get there. To me it was the highest class of layout even more than Dolar Shop. The service was decent; multiple people helped us throughout our evening. The meats and seafood were all decent quality. And the sauce bar had a variety of sausage and goodies for just $4

Yelp
We have been wanting to try Happy Lamb but have always been discouraged by the long lines. One Friday evening, we decided to brave the crowd and put ourselves on the waitlist. We waited close to an hour - which we anticipated so we were window shopping at the mall. We opted for the Prime All You Can Eat. You may order food every 20 minutes so we ordered quite a bit. The food arrived fast and the presentation was on point. Overall, we enjoyed the food - good meat quality and flavorful broth. Their servers were nice and attentive. The interiors look great. I think this is a good spot for a dinner with family or friends if you can plan ahead and get your name on the wishlist early.

Yelp
Food: they had an ayce bar where you can get sauces and other goodies like chicken and bread. The food was delicious we had ordered plenty of meat and sides and there is a 20 minute wait for each order so we had to order them in bulk. This is not bad because it gives you time to cook and eat the food as they come out. Definitely recommend if you are craving hotpot. Service: service was good, it was a busy night and our server did the best he could. We had to flag down other hosts and servers at some point but that's ok. Ambiance: casual restaurant

Yelp
I'm an avid customer of Happy Lamb of over 20 years, and I came to this location for the first time for a birthday. Because it looks fancy, and we do birthdays at Happy Lamb quite often. Though, I wouldn't recommend a birthday at this location because they're still new and figuring things out. It was a risk having a big party given I wasn't familiar with the layout and there was minimal information I could get online, here on a Yelp, or on the phone. Here, you order on tablets. There's a 18 minute waiting period in between ordering rounds. They have big rooms separated by a flimsy sliding door. Each room caters to two parties so it's not even private. Each side can hold 7 people max and has 2 pots. I was told there's a small section in the back for individual pots, but they ended up not giving me that section even though I requested it, and I didn't get a look. Happy Lamb only ever gives 1-2 pots per party regardless of group size, and that has always been their worst trait, but that's how they work. Though, I would've preferred at least an actual private room. Food quality: the seafood was reallly good. The meat was also satisfactory and on par with other locations. Sometimes they did take long, and I can see why many would assume the waiters forgot their order, but sometimes it does just take 30+ minutes. Here's the worst part: no alcohol license, yet. The location has been opened for two months and no where on their menu or signs do they say they don't have alcohol. They don't even have milk tea for the premium menu. So, getting premium here was not worth it. The drinks were very important to us, but because the crab legs were so good, I'll let them go on this one. This is just a "soft opening" hiccup and I'm sure overtime it will get better. Personally, I hate the tablet. It's a little hard to navigate, doesn't always have photos, and it takes up precious table space. In terms of service, I had a hard time getting the bill, which took about 40 minutes in itself. It's chaotic and busy, and despite all that, the staff did their best to stay courteous. I would come back, once they get those drinks going. But for now I much rather prefer the Seattle location.

Yelp
Happy Stomach. Wife and I got the all you can eat premium. Crab, waygu, lamb snow crab oh my. This was amazing. We split the broth curry and house spicy 1 level spicy. First both brothers were amazing hard for me to to pick a favorite. I am not a fan of super mouth numbing spice and the level 1 was perfect mix of spice and flavor. The baked lamb shanks was out of this world. Service was amazing and the staff explained everything in detail.. The manager, Jacky was was visiting all the tables and joy to speak with. Everything I want from a hot pot. Great atmosphere. Definitely, coming back.

Yelp
3.5 stars overall. Two of us came here on a weekday evening and there was still a short wait (maybe about 15 minutes or so). They do have snacks while you wait and small cups for some drinks. We were then seated and given several options including a la carte ordering, AYCE ($35 vs. about a $50 option that included more premium meats and drinks). We opted for the regular AYCE and also paid an extra $4/per person for sauce and snack bar. The snack bar was pretty limited, just a few fried foods and a few desserts. Sauce bar was OK (did the job). We got a two sided hotpot and chose between two broths which were both decent. We really enjoyed the quality of the meat. Very red, tender and tasty (we tried two types of beef). You order on the ipad and they bring it out for you. My biggest gripe was that we did not know that there is a 15 minute wait in between so we just ordered a few things to start with since we were hungry and we were locked out for 15 minutes (you could not even look at descriptions of menu items). They do only have a limited menu also in general (a few types of veggies, a few types of noodles, fish balls, etc). The other strange thing was the serving sizes were very arbitrary and it can take awhile for things to come out. For example, we ordered several servings of a mushroom we liked and they only brought out a few slices which was a little frustrating. Additionally, we had to ask for our broth to be refilled/had to ask different servers for anything we needed. In the end, for two people for the cheapest AYCE, it was about $110 for two people after tax and tip. We also discovered while we were walking out that they had ice cream but you have to ask for the cups. Overall, I think that the meat quality and quality of ingredients were high, but I felt restricted overall. I have been to Haidilao chains and would prefer those probably. Not bad for something close by but not as great as I would hope.

Netta M.

Yelp
Hard to go wrong with hot pot! We got half and half mushroom and curry - both tasty but the curry was the clear winner. We went AYCE because we're indecisive but next time would probably do better with la carte. Rice on the sauce bar - that makes it worth the price alone but there's also ice cream and other goodies. Service is pretty much all iPad with food runners - but quick and friendly. 8/10 will return.

Yelp
I am so excited to have a Happy Lamb Hot Pot up north! As I am a frequent customer at their Bellevue location. This location has just opened so they are still figuring out their grand opening kinks. As it took a little bit to get some of our food items out and our bill was wrong once we got it. But all small things that I know they will figure out with time!! The major thing I hope they fix soon is figuring out the reservation system. As on their Yelp it recommends a reservation so I called to make one, they instructed me to make on Yelp. There is no option to make a reservation on Yelp or join a waitlist either. I called back and then someone else had told me they can't do reservations for parties under 6 people. This was a little frustrating. The interior of the restaurant is stunning and a lot bigger than other locations. Staff was attentive and so friendly! Soup was flavorful and I love creating my own sesame garlic sauce to add to my broth. Was fun to use the tablet to order from as well. Will definitely be back!!

Yelp
We were very excited to have Happy Lamb open in Lynnwood as we tried their locations in Bellevue and Seattle and loved it. This location looks very fancy, bright and gorgeous. There is an all you can eat menu option or a la carte option. We usually get the all you can eat as that is great value if you are hungry ( I believe lunch was around $31 per person and dinner is around $34 per person). For the all you can eat, there is a large variety of meats, veggies, seafood, rice, noodles to order from. We left very full and satisfied. The main difference with this location is that you order everything on a tablet. It is nice not having to get ahold of a waiter whenever you wanted to order more dishes. There is also a sauce/appetizer/dessert bar that you can add on for $3.99 per person. 4 stars for now due to it being a new place and having some minor issues such as service being slow and not as smooth. But I am confident this location will be just as amazing as the other ones with time.

Yelp
What an amazing addition to the mall! Quality food, consistent service, and beautiful interior. The wait isn't bad at all on a weekend evening, and there's drinks and snacks in the waiting area. The ordering system was easy to use, and our server recommended us to order a bunch of stuff since you can't order new batch until later. On our additional rounds of orders, items came out quickly but not always accurately. Not a huge deal with me, but it might slow down your flow. Broth was refilled quickly. Sauce bar was nicely maintained. One note on sensory sensitivity: I can hear the high pitch sounds of either the induction stovetop or the lights (I think it's more likely the induction stovetop) throughout the entire meal. I was able to manage it this time, but it definitely prevents me from visiting more frequently. If anyone has tips, lmk!
google avatar

Amanda N.

Yelp
New located located at Lynnwood mall. The entrance is on the outside. The hotpot option is one big pot to share or they also have individual pot seating. You can choose from all you can eat to a la cart options. . You can take leftovers home, even if it's just the broth left in the pot. Wasteful when all they're going to do is throw it away. The staff was friendly and helpful
google avatar

Salina P.

Yelp
Came for dinner on a Wednesday and had no wait :) Once seated, you will order through a tablet. All of the staff are super friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly and servers were not difficult to flag down. Although this is not personally one of my favorite hot pot restaurants, it is definitely still pretty decent. As far as the sauce bar goes, one thing that would make it better would be adding Thai chilies.

Yelp
Super excited for a new Happy Lamb Hot Pot opening up north at Alderwood Mall! I've been to their Bellevue and Seattle locations, but this one is by far the most spacious and beautifully designed--bright, open, and modern. Definitely a step up atmosphere-wise. As expected for a brand-new spot, there was a long wait. But the lobby being stocked with drinks and snacks was a thoughtful touch and made the time pass easier. The broths were just as flavorful and rich as their other locations. I went with the Prime AYCE selection and was impressed with the quality--everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The snow crab legs, abalone, and lamb shank are absolute must-tries. Now for the cons: the service felt disorganized and less attentive than I've experienced before. My drink didn't arrive until halfway through the meal, even after checking in multiple times. Some of my Prime items (like wagyu) never came at all, despite following up three times. By then, more than an hour had passed into the meal (not including the 1 hr 20 min wait beforehand), and I just didn't have the patience anymore. The manager eventually stepped in, acknowledged the issue as a new-restaurant "growing pain," and kindly comped my meal--even though I offered to pay. Turns out I wasn't the only one having similar issues that night. All that said, I'm chalking this up to the usual opening-week hiccups. I'll definitely be back once the team gets into their rhythm. Excited to have another hot pot option in the north end!

Yelp
I was excited to try the new Happy Lamb in Lynnwood! The place just opened, so they are still working through some kinks, but overall I really enjoyed the experience. I have been to several Happy Lamb locations, and each one is a little different. The Lynnwood spot lets you order from a tablet, which I actually prefer compared to Bellevue where they are still using paper ordering. One thing to note is that the snack bar here is an extra charge, which surprised me since I have never been charged at other locations. At the moment they do not have the soft serve ice cream machine, but they are offering premade ice cream cups instead. Even with those differences, I still love Happy Lamb. The broth, meats, and overall hot pot experience were just as satisfying as ever. I will definitely be back, and I am looking forward to seeing how this location settles in as they smooth things out.

Yelp
I was in the area for work & wanted something other than fast food for the night. I've been to a hot pot in ATX so I was excited to see this spot within walking distance. Being unaware of how things worked, I inquired & the hostess was lovely enough to explain! Everyone I interacted with was so nice & knowledgeable; they guide you in the right direction for sure. Everything is pretty much digital so you order on an iPad & they bring it right to your table which is a nice change. The meat options are a plenty & my goodness, the broths! We went with the split three pot which included mushroom, curry and classic. Our top broth was definitely the curry, literally everything we cooked in it tasted fantastic. The other two were alright, nothing to write home about. This is definitely a place for larger groups to have fun & chow down; they have an all you can eat option. My clothes did retain the curry smell but it was SO worth it. Give this place a try if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
5 star foods ! Quality taste and service are too notch ! Sooooo delicious ! The meats and the vegetables are flavorful as is the broths

Yelp
Hooray for Happy Lamb at Alderwood but I would give it a bit more time to work out their flow or go on an off day. here's why I stopped by tonight (Saturday night)! There was almost a 2+ hour wait. We were prepared for that wait and waited from 5:05pm and were seated at around 6:55pm. *NOTE: reservations are only for 5+ call in only! walk-ins only via yelp so be prepared to wait!!* (they were extremely sweet and handed out snacks so you aren't hungry) SHOUTOUT TO JACKY. I'm sorry if had an awkward rbf or I sounded angry (more like hangry). There were about 2-3 hosts in the front and it's extremely hectic so I understand this (as working in the food industry myself). We were next in the yelp line but our name was getting skipped due to table size which I understand but after being skipped 3-4 times by the other 2 female hostess who wouldn't communicate with us, Jacky took it upon himself to seat us and profusely apologized. I understand there's protocol but getting skipped because we were a table of 3 for bigger tables wasn't a great feeling considering it happened a couple of times. After being seated, our service was a little inconsistent. At times they were extremely attentive and other times we had to flag them down. Not the worst but not the greatest. Food: 4.5/5 great! no complaints and the fried chicken wings at the sauce bar?!?!? the unexpected gem of an ayce hotpot and you're probably wondering why I'm raving about wings. seriously they were THAT good. Extremely crispy and crunchy, everyone at my table had them. We were satisfied with our meal, only deducting a point since they forgot my egg fried rice, which was okay because I was so full but something to note! Overall, giving this experience a 4/5. The seating mishap did aggravate me a little but understanding it's not their fault but a little communication with the host would've been nice! (again Jacky you're doing great!~) I'm sure this location will be great after adjusting their system. happy hotpot time!

Yelp
Happy to see Happy Lamb opened a location closer to us. We went on a Tuesday so we didn't have a wait. The place is very spacious and modern. The food and service was great, it felt like we had a good selection of things from the menu for the basic AYCE. This is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday with a large group of people especially since the birthday person eats free with 4+ people.

Yelp
I've made the drive to the Bellevue location for a few years, so it's nice that they opened a closer location. I think it taste like a tiny bit different, but they have a lot more options at ayce bar. I came here during a bit after the grand opening and it was a of a mess, but I took my grandparents here more recently and they liked it and our service was a lot better. Our server Richard was really attentive, it was nice not having all the empty dishes piled up on our table. They did their best to minimize our seating times too, which was nice of them. I would come back!
google avatar

Leijie Q.

Yelp
The broth wasn't super rich, but it had good flavor and worked well with the other ingredients. The self-serve bar had a nice variety to choose from, and the fried chicken wings were a standout--crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. The lamb leg was another favorite--tender and packed with savory goodness. We also tried the watermelon juice, which was super refreshing and a nice way to balance out the meat. Pricing felt fair for the all you can eat option, and the service was excellent. Staff were friendly, attentive, and kept things running smoothly.

Yelp
Top 3 employees every time we come in here: Jacky, Her-Cherng, and Kim! Always come in hungry and leave full and happy when I encounter these three star employees. Thank you for your hospitality!

Yelp
Visited for a special occasion with a party of six, and we had a wonderful experience! The atmosphere is chill and cool, and the staff are friendly. Ben, our server, was incredibly accommodating and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay. We genuinely enjoyed every moment and every single bite of our meal. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Great amazing quality of meat Not bad selection of drinks Self service sauce bar and side dishes Expect wait time of 1-2hr so get a number and go hangout in the mall Very busy so service is slow but otherwise courteous Beautiful dining space. 4 person dining booths. Private rooms available, larger family style tables available

Failure of service and fulfilling expectations they set. We saw that this new place was open and we love hot pot so we wanted to experiencing it. We put down our name on the list for 2 and the time on the waitlist, which had an expectation of 20 to 35 minutes tops to be seated at 5:42pm. Since we were very happy to wait, we decided to walk around and wait for our table... The time got to 40 mins and still no answer and I had the feeling the waiting list wasn't gonna to go anywhere soon. Super frustrated we went to another hot pot place in the same area which we were immediately sat down and fed dinner without any wait time. By the time this place said it was our turn in line. It was 6:55pm , one hour and 10 minutes from the time we put ourselves on the list. It's extremely unprofessional and lacks any accountability for maintaining proper expectations. Either fix your waiting list times or figure out a better methodology to creating proper expectations for your customers Very disappointing

Yelp
The place is ok. Hate how they have a timer system to order meat and the meat quality progressively gets worst throughout the meal. Have to ask to them to refill on the broth. I would recommend the Bellevue location, but if you are in the Bellevue area, you might as well get shaburina, which is t to far from Bellevue location and much faster and the meat quality has been consistent and the price is about the same. So it's not really all you can eat if they limit you with the timer to order more food.

Yelp
The AYCE is ok. I was here two hours. I would like to try Prime AYCE, but it was some sold out items. Also, the food bar was not refill frequently. Likewise, it was hard to identify with one is lamp meat or beef by the look. It would be great if they got labeled.

Yelp
Omg!! Happy Lamb is my favorite hot pot, and I'm so glad they opened a location in Lynnwood! I've been here 3 times since they've opened, and I'm always impressed by their service. We had Kim as our server, and she was so attentive to our larger party - and also had such a fun personality! Would always come back for the food, but now we have a favorite server, too! The restaurant is nice and clean, and the air ventilation works well so you don't leave smelling too strongly of hot pot.

Yelp
My wife is from Chongqing so she knows hot pot. Service is excellent. I recommend reservations or checking in early. It's busy and the wait can be long. Lamb and beef are good. The veggies great. They even have a birthday deal. Take a chance.

Yelp
I had an amazing time here, and the highlight of the entire visit was the outstanding service from Kim. From the moment we sat down, Kim was attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcomed. She anticipated what we needed before we even asked, checked in at all the right times, and kept everything running smoothly even during the busy dinner rush. The broth was delicious, the ingredients were super fresh, and the overall vibe of the restaurant was great--but Kim's exceptional service is what took the experience to the next level. She's the kind of person who makes you want to come back again and again. If you're thinking about trying this place, do it--and hope you get Kim!

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere. Nice servers. Great location near home. Upon ordering, I had missing some dishes - meat, fish, and taro. I had to tell them that I was missing some dishes for them to bring it. Then I ordered more on the device and they forgot to bring me the dishes again. I had to remind them that I placed an order. I received that a few minutes later. Service is slow, very disorganized and no one pays attention. There's no staff shortage. So if you come here, be ready to repeat to them you're waiting on orders. Bring lots of patience with you. And be ready to wait in between dishes. I'm aware they are new and learning, but constantly forgetting dishes is weird.

Yelp
The hot pot soup itself had an awful chemical taste. I don't know who made my batch but it was absolutely disgraceful serving that out to customers. What a waste of food, money, time, and resources. The service was ok? It's a waste of money overall.

Yelp
This is a newly opened happy lamb in Alderwood mall, great location and ambiance is wonderful! There are special rooms for parties of 6 or more. If you've been to any hotpot it is AYCE however you can ask them if you prefer ala cart. Service is very friendly and staff are helpful! Price is standard for any hotpot $$ would recommend for a good hotpot soup meal.

Yelp
My first time at a Hot Pot spot EVER was so delightful here. This place just opened and though they have some issues in their service they need to iron out (they forgot to bring us our drinks, ran out of fried rice but didn't tell us they were never going to bring it out, and had to ask three times to get more dish-ware), I'm certain they'll get better over time with more service practice. The restaurant is beautiful and clean and overall everyone is friendly. Excited to go back and try the other broths and meats!

Yelp
Was very pleasantly surprised. Upon entering, the decor was very modern with excellent lighting to see what's cooking and monitors throughout showing various images. Booths are comfy and large enough to fit a baby carrier which is a plus. Table tops were marble and a nice touch. The bathrooms are very clean and have a baby changing table, another plus. Ordering is modern with a tablet and the nice thing is each item is assigned a quantity which is adjustable to cut back waste. The quality is very good too. Shrimp was a good size and presentation was very nice, even for the regular AYCE. The broth was tasty too, not sure if it's different or bolstered by the ambience but it tasted better than the other locations. The service was excellent and our server Her-Chereng was great. He refilled my drinks before it was empty multiple times and checked on us 3 or 4 times throughout the dinner. This was on a Thursday night too. Price is only a slight higher but worth it in my humble opinion. Overall the experience was excellent and very different than the Bellevue and Seattle location. Would definitely recommend this joint for the north end for good Hot Pot. Will be going here from now on instead of driving down south.

Yelp
This place is so cute and cozy on the inside! Kim was our server and she was super friendly and even though it was dinner rush and the end of the night she was very attentive. We ordered a LOT because there are 4 of us who love to eat and all our food came out super fast. This was also our first hot pot experience and we did the premium option which was definitely worth it. The meat was really good quality and the spicy broth was super flavorful. It's a little annoying to be charged 2.50 extra for the sauce bar especially when you get the premium option but it's such a small fee it's not worth knocking off any stars. We will be back again!!

Yelp
Great AYCE hotpot spot! The broths were flavorful (loved the spicy/mild combo), and all the meats, seafood, and veggies were fresh and plentiful. Service was friendly and responsive -- waitstaff promptly brought refills, replaced spent broth, and checked in just enough without hovering. Perfect for groups and an excellent value -- I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I really enjoyed my visit to Happy Lamb at this newly opened location! The restaurant has a clean, modern aesthetic that feels both cozy and upscale. I especially liked the warm wood paneling and the artificial skylight; it gives the whole space a bright, inviting feel even on cloudy days. The food quality was excellent as well; everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. Definitely one of the nicer hot pot spots around!

Yelp
This was my first time in this location and the wait time was so long! I was real sad that they don't do reservations and my family waited 2 hours for our table. However, we were greeted with the most sweetest server! Her name was Veren! She gave us great suggestions and our food came in right away! Our food was SO yummy!! We ate EVERYTHING. THANK YOU VEREN!

Yelp
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Happy Lamb in Lynnwood. The service was terrible our waitress didn't even bother to check up on us once after taking our order. We had to flag someone down for our bill. For how much they charge, you'd expect at least decent service and better food. The prices are way too high for what you get. I would rather go eat at boiling point. The food wasn't good at all the broth had no flavor, the meat portions were small, and the side options were very limited. There weren't many selections to choose from, and nothing really stood out. It definitely didn't feel worth the money. Overall, this place is a total ripoff. Between the bad service, bland food, and high prices, it's not somewhere I'd ever go back to. Save your money and go somewhere else that actually values their customers and serves good food.
