The Newest Restaurants In Chicago

"One of our favorite hot pot restaurants in the city, Happy Lamb, opened a third location in Bridgeport. Like with the original (and very popular) spot in Chinatown, expect high-quality meat, seafood, and vegetables, plus flavorful broths and a $28 AYCE option." - john ringor, veda kilaru

Where To Have A Last-Minute Group Dinner

"Yes, Happy Lamb in Chinatown can get busy, and they don’t take reservations. But the moment everyone from yoga decides they want to go out to eat, put your name on their virtual waitlist. By the time people finally get their sh*t together (which always takes forever), you can just saunter in and get seated. This spot has fantastic hot pot with flavorful broths (get the combo of original and spicy Szechuan) and tasty meat, seafood, and vegetables. Don’t forget to get some free self-serve ice cream from the machine before you leave." - adrian kane

Personally hot pot isn’t for me but it was such a fun experience! Parking was easy to find, and when we arrived we got seated right away. The server was extremely nice explaining the process and walking us through the buffet. Good food and good vibes overall. Thank you guys !

This was the first time my sister and I have ever had hot pot so there’s no experience to compare it to. With that being said we absolutely loved the place. We thought all the food was so fresh and delicious. The quality of the meats were great. We ordered the premium package. I’m not exactly sure what’s included because we went with the servers recommendations (she picked all the meats for us) There was a fresh bar for all of our topping to go in the hot pot. There was also a sauce bar where you could make your own flavorful sauce. We both ordered a pineapple smoothie. We really enjoyed it. Unfortunately you can’t take any of the leftovers so we stuffed ourselves while sitting and enjoying the atmosphere and conversation. We went at 11:45am which is pretty near opening so it wasn’t crowded at all. Never felt rush and the service was top tier.

Wow, we’re there around 2 pm and the place was packed! We ordered the original marrow broth, while we waited for the broth to come to the table, we went to the buffet area to get our items (seafood, veggies, noodles and all other varieties), also we mix our own sauce for dipping our meats! My favorite was the glass noodles and the shrimp paste! Beverage was included! After a full stomach, we still had room for the sesame seed balls with red beans on the inside, the fried dough drizzle with condensed milk and the ice cream! It’s free if you go on your birthday, just need to show ID!

I went in with a friend for lunch and got the premium. Immediately upon the first round of meat, we noticed the meat that was served was cut and plated extremely sloppily and the order was incorrect. We were served a meat we didn’t order and missing a meat. Servers were relatively inattentive, they would stop by and check in frequently with the table across the walkway from us but then ignore me when I called out for one. I would request for two portions of a certain meat but would only be served one despite the server verbally confirming more than one serving, the serving that arrived was no bigger than the previous singular serving we were served. I get it, they don’t want to dish out tons of meat if they can avoid it, but I’d rather be told I can only order one at a time than be led to believe otherwise. Location is decent but lacks consistency, some orders of meat were served on ice, but the following order of the same meat wouldn’t, or a meat would be served on a lettuce leaf and then be served on a boy choy for some strange reason the next. Their buffet bar had a nice selection of options though.

Happy Lamb Hot Pot offers an exceptional dining experience! The ambiance is cozy, and the service is friendly. The broths are flavorful, especially the spicy broth, and the ingredients are fresh and high-quality. The all-you-can-eat option is a great value, with attentive staff ensuring everything is perfect. Highly recommend for a delicious hot pot meal!

Google
We've been here twice, and it only gets better!! On our first visit, it was just my husband, our youngest (3 yo), and myself on a random day during the week. The second time was for Mother's Day with my family of 6. This place is so spacious!!! Neither times did I feel like the table next to us was anywhere near us. The food was DELICIOUS!!!! It is worth every penny!!! Start by picking your broth, and we got The Best of Both Worlds (a spicy broth and a regular broth). Then, you choose from 2 packages of meat selection (it really just boils down to your preference and how much you want to spend), and both come with the buffet. I was blown away by the buffet options. LOTS TO CHOOSE FROM!!! There is literally something for everyone!!!! We've been to other hot pots before, but here you really are treated kindly by all the staff. Everything was clean and well taken care of. I never once felt the need to rush through my meal, as if I were being timed or limited to what I could get. This place is amazing all around! Don't forget your free ice cream cup as dessert or a nice snack on your way out! 100/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Google
My all time favorite place for hot pot. The absolute best flavorful broth, plenty of meat and vegetables and other things to snack on as well. The service is so good. There's always very kind and fun hosts that know how to be themselves around guests. My only complaint is sometimes they have been missing the enoki mushrooms, bring those back!!! Also, I highly recommend the golden cabbage broth if you like spicy things. The best flavor they have and you can't find it anywhere else!

Oriana K

Google
Food servings size are great. We like that everything but the meat is self-serve buffet style so you have to keep asking for more items like other places. My only complaint is really the induction plate takes so long for the broth to boil up. Other than that, very decently prices with lots of options.

Yelp
Absolutely love Happy Lamb!!! The quality, options, and taste really make the price worth it. It's usually better to go during lunch since it's cheaper, but I'd still come here for dinner price. The service is always good, but it came get a little busy so I don't blame them. My favorite part is that you grab your own food, and they even have a soda machine that's included in the price.

Yelp
Probably one of my favorite hot pots places! Great value, large space, clean, and haven't had one disappointment in multiple visits. Highly recommend it.

Yelp
It's so easy to get your monies worth here! Their $28 buffet includes so many sauces, sides, and additional meat like seafood, chicken, and beef. We were seated immediately on a Saturday afternoon and service was consistent and attentive, so no complaints there. The inside is decorated so nicely and music was great too. I was under the impression that chicken was an option on the menu based on the yelp photos, however it's only offered as an item at the buffet. No worries though, they just charged me the regular buffet price and I got all of my proteins (chicken and seafood) from the buffet since I don't eat beef or pork. The spicy broth was so good and the desserts weren't bad either. I was very impressed, I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Solid AYCE hotpot spot! The restaurant is spacious, well-lit, and has comfortable seating. The value is great--$27.95 for regular AYCE and $32.95 for premium, which is pretty reasonable for what you get. The meat quality was good for an AYCE place, and I liked the setup where you order meats from the menu while grabbing everything else (veggies, fish balls, noodles, etc.) from the buffet bar. The hotpot broths were okay for an AYCE spot, but I've definitely had better. My only other complaint is that some of the items at the buffet bar were mislabeled, which made it a little confusing. But overall, a great spot for hotpot, and I'd definitely come back!

Yelp
So spacious and clean. I really like this location. Service is quick. The self-serve area is kept clean. Soda machine available for you to get your drinks. I literally can't complain. Out of all the Happy Lamb locations I've dined at, this one is my favorite.

Yelp
Always a great experience. Easy to make reservations or added to waitlist via yelp Table is always on time. Service is excellent. Greeted immediately and asked to select hot pot price point and broth preferences. Seafood, veggies, drinks, dessert and hot food is self serve. Select your meats and it will be brought to the table.

Yelp
Came here for my mom's birthday and took my elders (senior's) out for dinner. Been to a couple of hot pot places around the Chicagoland, and am happy to report, Happy Lamb Bridgeport is a fantastic experience! Luckily, made reservations on Friday night. The staff was great, they got us seated and checked on us throughout the night - cleaning out plates, checking on the water levels for hot pot, and in general seeing a good flow of staff moving about to be of assistance as needed. The place was airy and bright. Buffet appeared to have fresh ingredients, clean, organized and fresh. I was impressed with the quality of their sesame balls and egg rolls. Typical buffet "filler" items, but they tasted good, nice and crispy! Kumquat lemon and plum drink, as well as a fountain were included in your standard entry. The brown coffee jelly cake was delicious too. And of course, the meats we got were very good quality. I've heard many friends and family recommend this place and this still holds up! Birthday guest eats free and there's senior/child pricing offers a good value.

Yelp
This is my go to happy lamb Chicago location. It can be busy but I've never waited more than 15 minutes for a table. Paid street parking - can be hit or miss depending what day and time you go. Spacious area, clean and quick service. You only order the broth and meat through the server. You can order up to 2 different broths in a pot. If they had a 3-divider pot, that would be the ideal thing like other hotpot places offer. My friends and I typically get the original marrow and spicy marrow broth. They have a newer broth, golden cabbage marrow which is herbal-y and refreshing but too spicy for my own spice tolerance. Vegetables, noodles, sauces, and drinks are self serve in the back area. They also have individual ice cream cups and fudge ice cream bars for dessert.

Yelp
Ambiance - super chill, slightly loud, well lit restaurant, and offers private rooms for bigger parties Service - came here on a Sunday night and it was pretty packed, servers weren't as attentive but still made sure to get your meat orders in here and there Food - food is buffet style (you grab what you want) except the sliced meat/pork/lamb which you place orders with your server

Yelp
Great selection of meats, veggies, and seafood. You order your soup bases and most of the meats at the table. The veggies, noodles, seafood, and sauces are at the buffet line. Truly a great spot we continue to come back to. We prefer this location to the Chinatown one, as there is usually less wait time and better parking. The aesthetic is very clean and contemporary. Comfortable seating and also some back rooms for larger parties. Servers are busting their butts, cleaning and running food out.

Yelp
Came on a Friday for lunch and my party greatly enjoyed our AYCE hotpot experience! Pick from a few different soup bases (spicy and non-spicy) and make it a split pot to try more broths. Service was great, servers were attentive and food was brought out timely. We weren't rushed or sped up at all. Aside from the meat menu for beef/lamb, everything else is self-service and there is a large variety of food options you can choose from! Lots of vegetables (including watercress!), seafood like shrimp, clams, and fish filet, fish/shrimp/meat balls, various soy products, fried noodles and rice, you name it! There are soda drinks and some juice drinks in the back as well. Dessert includes ice cream in the freezer. The shrimp paste is a must! Fish filet was super fresh and not fishy at all. Sooo delicious. The sauce bar is amazing as you can whip up your favorite flavors to dip your food in! Would definitely come back again. They get pretty popular in the evenings and weekends so you could expect a wait. Street parking available.

Yelp
The staff is very nice. They have a great selection of food and meats. Our favorite is the lean steak and lamb. Took my family to celebrate a birthday and they loved it. We've been back twice.

Yelp
Ambiance: 4.5/5 As it is newly renovated, the inside is clean and has a good layout. There are also a few party rooms for bigger parties, which is nice. The only small complaint is that the hallway outside of the party rooms has an unpleasant smell, but nothing too major. Service: 5/5 The servers are all eager and ready to take your orders once you let them know you're ready. Food: 4.4/5 After having been to the Chinatown Happy Lamb location and this one recently, I can confirm this location's food seems more fresh. We love all the fried items they have too (especially the sesame balls and the yellow stir fried noodles lol). TIP: Don't sleep on the golden cabbage broth! If done right, it is hands down the BEST broth out there! If you're a fan of spicy and slightly sour taste, it is a must try!!! Also, pair it with the fatty hand sliced beef and udon noodles and it is chefs kiss.
google avatar

Yelp
I love this location! I have been here during the week and on the weekend, definitely more packed on the weekend. Prepare for a wait. There's not much room inside for waiting if there's other people waiting too. But I think you can also do reservations online. Once seated, attendants are very quick with the broth and any other things ordered. Their selection of veggies and meats are good. My favorite are the mushrooms and udon noodles. I could eat soup with just that. And yes, they have a free meal for your birthday. There is paid street parking.

Yelp
It was sooooo fun I loved it I went for my bday and went back for my anniversary it's so easy to fill up for the price

Yelp
I'm so glad they opened this location, it's so much more spacious and plenty of parking compared to Chinatown. They've got almost the same type of food selection as Chinatown location but served to you like a buffet style where you get up and pick your own ingredients. Everything is fresh and never runs out. The services are fast and great. The restaurant is brand new so it's very modern and clean. They also have 2-3 room for huge parties who want to have a more intimate dinner experience. I've been coming here numerous times and still loving this restaurant!!
google avatar

Kat L.

Yelp
If you've been to the Happy Lamb in Chinatown, this is just as good but operates a little different. It's still hotpot so you still still get a table with the hotpot. Its still all you can eat and you order the meat with the staff. The rest of the food is at the self serve bar - the veggies, noodles, seafood, etc. The ready to eat food is also self serve. I like the chicken wings and fried dough. I must admit that I like this style of self serve better because I could get as much as I like rather than "an order/serving" would could be too little or too much. The only downside is that the veggies available on a particular day could be limited.

Yelp
I love going to happy lamb for hot pot a lot. It's always a hit no matter when you go to this restaurant whether it's summer or winter. This location is fairly new and the minute you walk in you can already smell the soup broth. The service is always top-notch quick. Their lunch deal is such a steal and it's definitely worth coming here. I usually go to the Chinatown location, but after this location opened, I started coming here instead because it's closer to where I live. We always come here whenever we have a friend's birthday because the birthday person always gets a free meal. You will always leave this place happy and full. I don't think you can find another all you can eat place as good as happy lamb in the Chicago area.
google avatar

Yelp
Each location is different but regardless the food is good & the service is fast! Also kids under a certain age eats free. I think the cut off is if they're tall lol or look 7/8. So for instance my 12yr old is charged as an adult but my 5yr old twins eat free. $27 isn't bad to feed 3 ppl. Lunch favorite and dinner. The music is upbeat in the day & more top 40s in the evening depending your area.

Yelp
This restaurant looks so new and clean! Unlike the Happy Lamb in Chinatown, at this location, you help yourself to your hot pot foods (seafoods, fish/meat balls, noodles, vegetables, quail eggs, funguses, etc) served buffet style. They also serve hot dishes like fried rice and egg rolls. I came with friends who eat halal so we chose and enjoyed the mushroom vegetarian broth and the lamb cuts. I am deducting one star because one of my friends ended up getting really sick after eating here (vomiting and diarrhea). Although we can't truly pinpoint what caused her to get sick, I think the chances of cross contamination are increased with the way their food is served.

Yelp
We love this new location of Happy Lamb!! As longtime Chinatown regulars we were very excited to try this new location. First off we loved the bright, clean design. It's beautiful in here! Additionally the wall of TVs stood out, I love that touch! The food was also a step up, the broth seemed a little more rich as well as the extremely tender beef. The lamb was also excellent of course. The buffet style works, and I really appreciated the selection - all our favorites were there! One thing to note is the tea egg 茶叶蛋 selection, thanks for adding that! The sauce bar was also excellent here, the sesame sauce was a bit thicker which I really enjoyed. The staff was all excellent and very helpful, service was quick and easy! Great job on that front as well. So 10/10 this is a must try location if you love hotpot. If there is any request, I'd love if they added spicy beef tallow broth. Thanks!! :)

Yelp
The servers were very nice! The buffet area was clean, neatly presented, and plenty to choose from. The booth table was very clean! I love the open windows and Christmas music playing. The broth was aromatic. All the food was very delicious and fun concept overall. You get a free meal for your bday! My 3 kids at free. (Ages 3, 3, 5). For a family of 5 our bill was $30. I couldn't believe it. I would come back!

Yelp
Came late for my reservation, but they still sat us down right away. They always brought our meat we ordered out very quickly. The food was very good! Got super full -- lots of sides to choose from. Ambiance was good -- lots of people, but not too loud.
google avatar

Bea A.

Yelp
I've been a huge fan of AYCE at Happy Lamb, so when I found out about this location I knew I had to make a visit! This location is unique compared to other Happy Lamb restaurants in Chicago. At this location, I quickly learned that you only order broth and meat options with your server. Vegetables, noodles, seafood, and tofu are prepared for self service. I loved this particularly because it allowed me to try new toppings and get an appropriate amount of each option. Like always, the sauce bar is packed with everything you need to enjoy your meal. This location however also has sides available for self-service. You're able to try steamed rice, fried rice, noodles, and grab eggrolls! Although the self-service is a big part of the dining experience, servers provide attentive service and bring out your selected meat FAST. This is definitely my favorite Happy Lamb location.

Yelp
We came in on a later weeknight day. This was next door to a restaurant that we had originally thought of going to. The new sparkly looking Happy Lamb was far too attractive comparatively. So we walked in and the place was not that busy yet, by the end of the evening all the tables were filled. The place got pretty warm and steamy inside from all the pots going at the same time. We ordered four different kinds of meats and then went to grab from the variety of veggies and tofu and fish balls up at the buffet area. They also have a variety of drinks, some pop and juices to choose from as well. The service was very attentive and good. I do wish I ordered more meat. The buffet choices were pretty sufficient though. We sat in a booth for this visit and while the seating was nice, it was difficult to get in and out of the booth with the buffet portion. Price is $21.95 Senior and for a child under 4ft. Free for children under 3ft. For the Classic Hotpot Buffet. They didn't really measure the children, rather upon sitting down our waitress told us what price we would be paying.

Yelp
We had such a great experience here! I haven't been to many AYCE hot pot places and this was my first time eating at any Happy Lamb, but I was very impressed by this particular Happy Lamb restaurant- I thought they had very high quality ingredients and food. We got the original marrow broth and the tomato broth and I loved both as non spicy options. The space is well ventilated and somehow I managed to not smell like hot pot for the rest of the day. The restaurant is spacious with comfortable seating, the self service food station was kept clean and well replenished, and everyone working here seemed easy going and eager to help. Special shout out to our server Qiao for being so attentive, friendly and helpful, ensuring that we had a wonderful time! For a hot pot place they are very child friendly and they have plenty of foods kids will enjoy. We came for a weekend lunch and there was no wait and honestly way fewer guests than I would've thought. Street parking was easy to find as well. I like that they have chow mien, fried rice and other ready to eat foods that you can help yourself to while you wait for your hotpot to be ready. I highly recommend bringing the hot pot lover in your life here for his or her birthday because they get to eat for free!

Yelp
Believe it's a newer happy lamb that recently opened. Was super busy on a Wednesday night in Jan. I've been to another Happy Lamb before in Chinatown, but I really liked this one. The space seemed more spacious, the staff was great, really happy and anticipated our needs. We were sat in a booth the six of us rather quickly at 5:30 and tables steadily came thereafter. There are several private rooms for larger groups. The soup is really flavorful, next time I will opt for two of the non-spicy soup as otherwise we have overload on the non-spicy side vs the spicy. I loved the fish balls and the shrimp paste as that's what I'm used to eating. The meats were really high quality as well. Free drinks along with the meal. Nothing bad to say, I'll definitely be back for the great eating experience. We originally planned on going to a restaurant on the same street but after passing through looking for parking we decided on the Happy Lamb instead. Street parking could be challenging with meters on Halsted, but we found parking in our first loop.

Yelp
The experience here was absolutely AMAZING. I went for date night and the ambiance was perfect. I suggest going with at least a party of 4 to enjoy and complete the various choices of meat. They give you large portions and it is all you can eat! You pay a set price per person around 28 dollars per person. Very much so worth it. The service was great! They are very helpful and attentive to all your needs. I would definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
First of all, we are so happy to have Happy Lamb in Bridgeport. It's definitely a good addition to the neighborhood. We came here on a Sunday noon. Surprisingly, it's not busy, probably because not that many people know about this place yet. The place is not that big like in Chinatown, but hey, I'll take it in Bridgeport. The place is definitely still clean and bright, so please keep it this way. Our server, Irene, is definitely really nice and informative. She explained to us which package is good. We are a party with 2 adults and 3 kids. We don't eat a lot, so we ended up only with 2 portions of beefs. We did take advantage of the buffet. The seafood was fresh, which I appreciate because I don't eat the meat at all. The price is reasonable. If someone complained to being too expensive, they need to just make it by themselves Definitely will come back here again.

Yelp
Food: 4/5 always wish the broth was a little spicier and had more of the pepper corns which I love! It's a self service bar for the extras which was also neat--wasn't like this at the other locations I have visited. Also feels clean Service: 5/5 we asked one of the workers where our meat was as we ordered it 20 minutes prior and he said they forgot to put it in. We were fine since we were chomping on the vegetables in the meantime and didn't put up a fuss when he told us! We were happy to keep waiting. He still came by a few minutes later with complimentary smoothies for us which was so nice!!!! It really made the meal great.

Yelp
Me and my mom love it here! I swear if the food could get ANY better, Jesus Christ himself would eat here. The people are so nice, and when I gave a 10 dollar tip, they were super grateful. It smells AMAZING. Try the fries. they are so good and crispy and yummy.
google avatar

Ivonne R.

Yelp
I would give this a 4.5. The mushroom marrow was awesome paired with sesame chili oil sauce and their secret sauce as well as the Angus beef and ribeye! I love their buffet concept and private rooms. The place is always busy. Ambiance was chill. The service was pretty good but could improve a little bit. Overall great.
google avatar

Yelp
Come with a big appetite! There are so many options for the AYCE hot pot, even at the lowest price option. Beyond the meat, there are plenty of fish cakes, noodles, vegetables, and other additions like quail eggs. I have to say the spicy soup here is spicier than the one in Chinatown--it caught us by surprise! This has to be one of my favorite spots for a celebration because the food is great and it's a fun experience. They have hot entrees, a dipping sauce bar, and desserts too on a side bar so don't miss those. AND make a reservation because they always seem to be busy during dinner hours.
google avatar

Eddie C.

Yelp
My first hot pot experience at a restaurant. The fresh meat comes out ready to cook. The veggies, mushrooms, fish cakes and more - all prepped buffet style as well making your own sauces. The line out the door was long for us but well worth it. I'm writing this review as someone who is not Chinese and prior to this year not ever had hot pot! This place is super awesome and also a great place to learn the ins and outs of hot pot! So - hot pot unlike Korean BBQ isn't grilled - you cook the meat in a hot broth which makes it super-tender and flavorful. You also cook the raw item from the buffet in the broth as well. It is so so good! If you've never tired hot pot - come here to experience it!
google avatar

Yelp
Came to this location because the Chinatown location was closed. The staff here we're wonderful attentive and very kind. The meat always came out and a relatively short amount of time even though they were busy on a Sunday night. The vegetable Buffet area was always clean the food seems very fresh and overall everything tasted fantastic. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the garlic marinated beef, it tasted a little old, and just didn't have good flavor. Otherwise everything else was great!

Yelp
Excellent premium hot pot buffet experience at HLHP and I'd happily come back, but when it's less busy and chaotic -- like *not* a on Friday-Sunday evening. Broths I've tried and enjoyed are original marrow broth, spicy marrow broth, and golden cabbage marrow broth (sour &spicy). Like all hot pot places, the broths are salty and you'll need to hydrate a lot after your meal. Of the premium meats, my favorites were the crispy baked lamb shank, crispy fish filet, natural spring lamb, and the ribeye. You have to put in an order with the server for these items. But on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. round of meat requests, the servers completely forget to bring them to you and you have to repeatedly place the order or complain before they bring it. What I especially love about this hot pot location is the buffet style of veggies, carbs, seafood ingredients, noodles and other carbs, appetizers, desserts and non-alcoholic beverages so you can have a full meal experience and only eat as much as you like to eat on other non-red meat items. Tip 1: Wear clothes you don't mind stinking up. Leave your jackets, hats and wigs in the car or at home. Or bring a plastic bag to put in your items to prevent it from stinking. My winter coat stunk for days even after airing it out outdoors over night and finally gave up and had to get it washed. Tip 2: Ask for bibs so you don't splash on your clothes that you're going to stink up. Tip 3: Apparently the person dining there on his/her birthday (with ID proof of birthdate) can eat for free Tip 4: Reserve a private room if you have a large party (maybe 6-8 minimum) so it is not as loud and chaotic.

Yelp
DELICIOUS! Plus, they offer a very reasonable price for an "all you can eat" experience. Gotta love the split pot option that allows you to have more than one broth at the table, too (we picked a tomato broth and a really tasty cabbage broth)! Great choice for hot pot.

Yelp
Thank you, thank you, Bridgeport location, for coming into my life. Thank you. This is possibly my current favorite restaurant! You sit down, pick your broth and then hit the buffet. There is a selection of hot food (spring rolls, fried rice, noodles and sesame balls). Then there is the glory that is the cold/raw buffet! My personal favorites are woodear mushrooms, quail eggs, fish, shrimp, a few different kinds of tofu, shrimp paste, and seriously, so many glorious offerings. They have weekday lunch pricing for $21.99 and that's my favorite time to go!

Yelp
The service is great! On a busier day you can expect to wait a bit but my family and I enjoyed our experience. The place was clean and the food was fresh.

Yelp
Came here on a whim - didn't know they had opened this new location in Bridgeport but was pleasantly surprised. AYCE is $28pp which is a great deal! They have everything you need for hot pot - a great selection of meats, seafood, veggies, noodles, and a sauce bar. Service was great as well. Only negative thing I have to say is they were BLASTING the music, it was hard to have conversation.

Yelp
I normally go during lunch hours, never have a wait time and always amazing service/quality of food. For this review we got stuck behind 3 large parties during dinner rush and waited for 50 minutes but it's still not going to change my 5 star review based on service, cleanliness, and overall how amazing the meal tasted. You have to get the lamb shanks! Absolutely out of this world. Definitely worth the price you pay too.

Yelp
BRAND NEW location. I came here for my birthday since birthday people get to eat for free (as long as you come with someone). I love that it's buffet style so you can grab what you want. There are additional options like sesame balls, fresh fruit, egg fried rice and flavored drinks. It's about $30-40 per person for dinner. Lunch is $20-30. Service was prompt and the place was clean. You can probably get better quality meat at other places but I love how easy everything was. However, the music is way too loud and unfortunately it only encourages people who like to talk on their phones on speakerphone while they're having a meal with a family to talk EVEN LOUDER to compensate.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday, and you get to dine for free!! All you have to do is show your ID for proof! This's our first time trying this place and certainly won't be our last! We opted in for the tomato broth and the original marrow broth! I found the original broth to be too peppery, and too much seasoning. The tomato broth however was very tasty! They also have specials with beers, b1g1free, so we ordered 2 Sapporo as well. The meat you order with the server and you can order however much you'd like as long as you finish it. We tried different cut of beef and an order of fatty lamb. They are all pretty tasty! As far as the veggies and sides, they have a buffet style station you can grab your own and also a sauce station to make your own dipping sauce!! They also have a small selection of cooked food, dessert, and such. Overall very good experience, they do get busy, so get there early! You will definitely walk away stuffed!! There are street parking just outside of the restaurant!!!

Yelp
Hands down, this Happy Lamb location might be the best of them all. Goodbye to the Happy Lamb in Chinatown because I'm going to be coming to this one now! This service here is different from the usual experience where everything other than the meats is self serve, including drinks and even dessert! They even have egg friend rice and lo mein noodles available too. I had so much fun going around and "shopping" for my side dishes. Ambiance is clean and they were on top of clearing away your old dishes. They really nailed it with this new location!

Yelp
The food and service is great! It gets busy on the weekends, so make sure you request a table prior to your arrival. Parking isn't the best, but it's worth it!

Yelp
This Bridgeport location makes it so much more easier to have hot pot without traveling to Chinatown. I was so happy that this location opened up since it was the first time I saw a self serving hot pot. The interior follows closely with the other happy lamb hot pot. There's always a wait so make sure your whole group is there! I also really enjoyed the private rooms for really large groups. Since I have a shellfish allergy, it was so helpful to have double pots. This is available to groups larger than 6. They have great music playing. They have endless options of food. Service is decent. I will always come back for my birthday!

Yelp
Yeeesssss a brand new Happy Lamb!!! I didn't even know they were making a new one, so I was very excited and surprised to find this location (thanks Yelp!) as brand new as of a few days ago. For Thanksgiving, my family went to the one in Naperville, which is a smooth 50 minutes away, just because I knew the parking wouldn't be crazy and there would be more room. I'm so happy that this spot is larger than the Chinatown location and also has the same setup as the Naperville location, which is buffet, so you can help yourself to almost everything (except the meat, which you have to order from a server) For real, I will be here often because there is street parking and no wait. The broths are always good and there are a lot of tables to accommodate larger groups. Pretty much everything is all you can eat, including pops. juices, ice cream, etc. It didn't take much for me to get full (I love the fresh noodles) and I'm excited to come back again in a few days, lol.
