Date of visit: June 2025 I came here to check out the hot pot and the lamb! They're called Happy Lamb, so gotta eat lamb, right? They took over the old Macaroni Grill. Who remembers that?? They have an option to split the pot for two soup bases: original marrow and spicy marrow. Otherwise they have cabbage, mushroom, and tomato. I got the split pot. At the time of visit in June 2025, the dinner price for "Happy" tier was $29.99 and you get classic items. The "happier" tier was $38.99 for dinner. The difference is you get Australian wagyu, the lamb shank, lamb shoulder, and spring lamb. You also get other seafood items not included in the classic menu. The lamb shank was worth the happier tier. The meat was tender and flavorful. I recommend getting this. The other raw meats that you cook were pretty good too. I like the self-serve area, which was clean and spacious. They had plenty of sauce options. The dessert that you get is a small ice cream. Credit card/Apple Pay accepted Bathroom available Plenty of parking

Very good hot pot for the price range. All the items we had, we found to be fairly good quality. While waiting for your initial food order, you have the option to go pick at the snack bar and there are some juicy options over there including lamb spine! There were loads of people just stacking the lamb spine on their plates. You’re limited on how many orders of the premium meats but honestly we found it more than enough for our needs. The non-premium meats were pretty good too and not to be overlooked. The only gripe we had was the service could use some work. Our waitress took our initial order and then never actually put it in so we were waiting for nothing for a while before she realized her mistake. Other than that small hiccup, we had a good time and we are looking forward to returning again soon. There’s two menus you can order from and the pricier one is honestly fairly priced so we didn’t see any reason not to order the higher one.

Tried a new hot pot place and we were pleasantly surprised! We got the lowest tier, the “happy” tier, to try it out and I think that was already really good. I really enjoyed the beef toro and basically just kept ordering that. We got both the original marrow broth and the spicy marrow broth. I didn’t really like any of the fish cake they had but that’s fine since they had bokchoy and crab meat which is all I need. They also have a sauce area and cooked food area.

Google
Seriously obsessed with this place. The broth was super flavorful (we did half spicy, half mild) and everything from the meats to the veggies was super fresh. The sauce bar was fun to mix and match, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. My favorite is the fried bun, so good. Great for kids and family, ate with my nieces and they loved the rice and udon.

Wow! Happy Lamb in Huntington Beach is an absolute gem! If you love hot pot, it is a MUST! From the moment we walked in, the General Manager, Johnson, made us feel incredibly welcome – such genuine hospitality is rare and truly appreciated. The service throughout our meal was exceptional; attentive, friendly, and prompt. And the food? Absolutely top-notch! All you can eat can sometimes comprise quality but NOT at Happy Lamb! Their rich broths and premium meats were fresh and of the highest quality. We were stuffed by the end of it – in the best way possible! Happy Lamb has definitely earned a full five stars from us. We can't wait to go back. Bring your appetite!

Today was my first time trying this restaurant. To be fair, the environment was quite nice and felt very clean. However, when I went to the fresh food section, the fish and shrimp had a very strong fishy smell, which completely put me off from eating any seafood. The soup base was also disappointing — both the spicy and the plain broths had nothing but a salty taste, without any fragrance or depth of flavor. It was honestly the worst hotpot broth I’ve had in Los Angeles. We chose the most basic set, but the beef was extremely fatty and the portion was quite small. The sesame sauce in the condiment station was also overly salty, so the entire meal just felt like an endless wave of saltiness. As for the service, no one refilled our water the whole time. Since it’s self-service, we had trouble finding a server when we wanted more meat, but as soon as it was time to pay, the staff suddenly became very attentive.

Nice new Hot Pot place. Good selection of other meats, seafood, veggies, sauces and condiments. Choose broth, pick meats and then get your veggies. We like d the split pot of broth. Bring your stretchy pants!!! :)

Google
I came here not knowing it was an all-you-can-eat hot pot, and what a pleasant surprise! For the price, it’s an incredible deal. It was very affordable and worth every penny. The quality of the food exceeded expectations. The broths were flavorful and authentic, and you could really taste the depth in them. The meats were fresh, well-sliced, and replenished quickly. There were so many add-ons and sides to choose from, vegetables, noodles, desserts, seafood, and more. They were all tasting great and clearly prepared. There’s a wide range of options, making it perfect whether you're a first-timer or a hot pot lover. Honestly, you could come back several times and still not try everything. The only downside was the service being a bit slow, but to be fair, the place was packed. It’s clearly popular for good reason, and the staff still did their best to stay on top of things. Overall, if you're looking for a satisfying and fun dining experience that won’t break the bank, this place is absolutely worth checking out. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time, with a bigger appetite!

Yelp
Delicious food and great service, lovely environment, affordable prices! Especially the tender beef and lamb, fresh vegetables all you can eat makes us feel it is worth to come and wait.

Yelp
Great spot and parking is many, along with Target near by to walk off the meal afterwards! Hot pot was delicious here and as they name states, the lamb is really a great item to have! There are many broths to choose from and two type of menu. Recommend getting the larger menu as the options for plenty with great quality food. The Lamb chop was delicious with the dry rub and the brown sugar dessert was probably one of the best items I ever had, would go back just for that. The service was great and very attentive. I would say we went at an early hours where the traffic was low and recommend that approach. The sauce and side bars are also plenty, which is always appreciated as fiber is an important of the meal! Overall, I would come back as the restaurant has a great vibe, great location, and spacious. Though I wish they didn't charge for tea after we got the expensive menu.

Yelp
I got Happy the first time I came here. I couldn't get happy the second time I was here. They changed the menu. They went from Happy and Happier to Classic and Deluxe. In changing the menu, they also raised their prices making it more difficult for me to be happy. They have 5 different broths that you can choose from. If you can't make up your mind, you can choose a combination. The cheaper package that I picked came with 8 choices of meat which you order from your server. They have a sauce bar/buffet area where you can choose different sauces, raw vegetables, seafood, noodles and other stuff that you put in your hot pot. The cooked foods included wings, lamb spine, buns, and desserts. They were a little slow on Christmas eve on my second visit as they were very busy that day. They were slow at restocking the foods at the buffet area. They almost forgot to bring out our pot with the broth. During my first visit on a non-holiday, there was no shortage of food and the service was quick. You cannot get Happy or Happier here anymore. Only Classic and Deluxe now. It's a good place for hotpot. You'll be happiest if you came here on a non-holiday when they are not that busy.

Yelp
Ayce hotpot was delicious! All the meats were really good. Mushroom broth was my favorite. Not too heavy but good flavor. The vegetable and seafood bar is stocked. Lots of options and a great sauce bar as well. Service was great and it's free if you go on your birthday!

Yelp
My second time visiting here, definitely some noticeable change on the menu, price, and food selection. Items like conch, ox aorta, squid tentacles, tiger prawns, etc. are no longer on the menu. Also, there's a price raise, $5 for the dinner Deluxe AYCE option. For the buffet section, there are new veggies like crown daisy and water cress, and removal on things like enoki mushrooms and shrimps. I definitely understand that things are getting pricey, so I understand the price raise. However, it would be nice to still the food selection remains the same. The meat quality is still the same, we mostly had wagyu beef and lamb. Items at the buffet section are clean and fresh as well. Their service is great, staffs were friendly and welcoming. We went on a Sunday night, there was no wait. It still a good AYCE hot pot location, but it would be great to see the previous menu items to be back.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came on a Saturday afternoon. There were about 5 or 6 other tables. It did take a minute until our server got us started ordering which menu we want and our soups. We were able to make two trips to the veggie and appetizers stations. The appetizers could have been made smaller portions and fresher turnovers. At one point the carbonation went out. I would've appreciated if they were more attentive with that aspect, since it's included in the deluxe menu. We were really stretching our necks out though with the number ours times we had to look for him. It's a little chilly too.

Yelp
Overall for dinner we chose the deluxe package for $43 and my daughter was half off for AYCE. We tried the half tomato and half bone broth soup! It was ok.. tasted better as it cooked longer. The premium meat that was one per person was good. We tried one lamb from the reg side and it was very sub par. I did like that they had snakehead, shrimp paste, and lot to choose from the veggie, noodle bar. They also had some hot food like fried veggie rolls, chicken wings, fried rice, fried noodles, and random cake desserts that looks gross. I weirdly liked the shrimp ball with cheese. It ddjnt really take cheesy but more like melted sweet lava. I did like the brown sugar mochi! Nice and hot. So it was good for one but because i was so full. Ultimately i wont be back, soup base was what er, meats had some good but not worth a $43 per person. If i was going ham i would probably chose yumiyaki for the real premium feeling
google avatar

Austin K.

Yelp
Ambiance: Clean and Modern with open and comfortable seating for large groups Service: Extremely fast for AYCE Food: Got the premium course. The meat quality was solid for what you are paying. The soup base was decent. I felt that they played it pretty safe with the spices on it. The spicy is also pretty mild and very friendly for everyone

Yelp
I was invited to a birthday party here and my family and I got here before the host (birthday couple), and got led to the wrong table. We sat there for 20 minutes before we were told to move to where we should've been seated. The whole time we were there, we were told to order first but were not given a menu until we asked for one. They have 3 different tiers at different price points : Happy, Happier, Happiest. We selected the Happier but didn't feel the meat quality was that great. Maybe, I got spoiled eating the A-5 Wagyu at Chubby Cattle and Mikiya for not much more of price difference, so I was a bit disappointed with the food options & dining experience. My family are regulars here and LOVE this place, but they are also vegetarians. Overall, Happy Lamb Hot Pot is a 6/10 for me.

Yelp
My friends and I have been coming here for quite some time and we always enjoy the food and soup there. Only thing they need to improve is the cleanliness and all the small fly gnats that's always flying around our food. One time it landed on my food i couldn't eat the whole bowl. So far the service is pretty good. Can't really complain...
google avatar

Harris P.

Yelp
Very disappointed with my first visit. We arrived at 9pm, 2 hours before they close. However, the buffet were empty already and they're not going to refill. That's not fair since the price is the same.

Yelp
I have dined at Happy Lamb Restaurant and had a great experience overall multiple times after work at 830pm. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The highlight of the meal was definitely the flavorful hot pot broth, which was packed with fresh ingredients and delicious spices. Every bite of their meat selection was a delicious! I have done both menu A and B and i end up opting for A cuz its good enough for me. I do t eat as much as i used to so i fill up fast and find the Menu A selection is good enough. However, I did notice that the fried food sometimes comes out a bit stale at the buffet bar, which is why I'm giving it four stars instead of five. It's a small hiccup in an otherwise fantastic dining experience. Lot of great selection and the buffet bar for veggies, seafood and noodles. I'll definitely be back

Yelp
All-you-can-eat hotpot now stands at what used to be Johnny Carino's. I think overall, especially for a weekday lunch, it's a decent value. The self-serve area has plenty of seafood options, assorted vegetables like wood ear mushrooms, and a worthy sauce bar. As broth options go, I'm definitely team spicy, though I recommend the mushroom broth that has additional traditional Chinese herbs that enhance health, special for females drained from their menstrual cycle. Think dang gui (nourishing blood tonic), gou qi zi/goji berry, da zao/red dates, and the like. I wouldn't necessarily opt for the premium upgrade, with the lamb shank, better wagyu beef, lamb, etc. Especially when the flavor will get mixed with your choice of broth, and personal sauce concoction that kind of nullifies the subtlety in quality. The shank was okay. Decent to bite into, decent, gamey flavor, but it's not tender fall off the bone. Let's just say there isn't any one magical dish that I swoon to come back for. Service can be a bit spotty, as if they don't have enough attendants on the floor. I basically had to get up from the table and find someone to flag down to handle the check. So get their attention when you can, especially since they limit how many meat orders you can bring to the table at a time. Overall, a pretty great casual spot to grab dinner with friends. Healthy, paleo friendly, keto friendly, all-you-can-eat goodness, that I'd come back to.
google avatar

Gwyneth N.

Yelp
The soup base was bland and the worker was rude, at the end we were also waiting for 20 minutes on the check essentially. They also mixed up our order of the meats and how much. Plus the pricing should've been communicated better on the menu for the weekend pricing. The bathroom was also disgusting, it was modern but not clean at all. Overall I would not come back.

Yelp
Happy Lamb never misses! I love all their lamb, but the spring lamb is my absolute favorite. And don't forget the Wagyu beef -- always a must. I usually do a mix of the mushroom broth and spicy broth, and the unlimited sides make it even better. I always get the deluxe set, and the staff is consistently friendly and quick to help. One of my go-to hot pot spots for sure!

Yelp
Was craving hot pot on a cold night so decided to give Happy Lamb a try, this place just opened not too long ago and it seemed pretty popular. Right when I walked in and smelled the broth it reminded me of Little Sheep Mongolian hot pot as I grew up eating that. Sure enough, when they brought out the soup base it tasted exactly like Little Sheep! Overall it was pretty clean, the condiment, drink, veggies/sides buffet was pretty stocked and staff was cleaning through the night. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us some recommendations as well as prepared the lamb shank for us. I personally think the broth was on the saltier side so didn't even need to dip the meats in a sauce which can be good or bad. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for AYCE hot pot.

Yelp
Overall, I think this is a good choice for hot pot. However, this still feels really new with some stuff that needs to be tweaked for an ayce hot pot. The menu just seemed a little odd to me on how they placed the items, but really clever to get people to not stick with the happy menu option, but opt for the happier or happiest option. Overall, I would probably go for the happier option since the angus beef my definitely my favorite. Also, the broths tasted great. Definitely gey the bone marrow and sour cabbage. However, it was pretty salty that we felt really thirsty afterwards. The self serve bar was solid with a lot of choices... but my issue is the variety with the dessert options. With a lot of ayce hot pot options around the area now, I feel like desserts need to be great too. Also, the ice cream was really awful that came with the happier option. It's a really crap quality, corn syrup, gum filled, artificial flavored vanilla ice cream. I feel like they need to at least include different flavors. Also, I just wished that service was quicker. We were put to a corner that was not in high traffic area. Ambience was nice, very modern, and extremely clean. The interior colors of orange and tan just make sense. The seats were also very comfy. Overall, a lot of good things... but a few major misses, but definitely a place to check out.

Yelp
Our usual hot pot spot has been closed for awhile, so we tried Happy Lamb Hot Pot and have been back a second time since they opened. They are a great substitute spot with a delicious broth (compared to bland shabu shabu), especially their house original broth and mushroom broth. We did get the baked lamb shank once (and the BF LOVED it) when they first opened as a free perk, I would highly recommend it to any lamb lovers. Favorite items from the HAPPY menu: beef short plate, aged lamb, garlic beef, kurabuta pork. If you get the HAPPIER menu - the house shrimp paste is probably my favorite thing along with the fried bean curd roll and limited items (lamb shank is included one per person!) My only reason for four stars is the hot foods self service area, I wish they would have more frequent fills with fresh food as sometimes it can get a bit empty and sad looking during service when they are less busy in the dining room.

Yelp

Yelp
It's an AYCE hotpot, season is getting colder and this is just the perfect place to warm your belly. You get to join their waitlist here on Yelp! Went on a Friday dinner, a bit busy, got our table right away. You choose between 3 different packages, price is fair for the meat choices and have options of a divided pot so you can choose 2 soup bases or not. Tried their best of broth worlds which is their divided pot with original marrow and mushroom broth. Their buffet area not only offered items to add to your soup, but also a generous platform of various cooked items like chicken wings, gyoza, fried rice, etc. Had a great experience, my favorite was their mushroom broth.

Yelp
Great spot for AYCE hot pot in Rowland Heights. They even offer a hot food bar with appetizers. Easy to find parking as it shares the same lot at Target. Friendly service and clean environment.

Yelp
Great place for large celebrations with friends and family! I went twice for birthdays and each birthday person got to spin a wheel for any discount ranging from 50% to a free meal (only applies to the bday person)! It has to be on the birthday with an ID to spin the wheel! The food was delicious. I tried the bone marrow broth which was flavorful for a more herbal type soup (I may be biased cause I love clear broth). The cabbage broth was a bit on the sour side so I personally preferred the bone broth. I also like how clean and organized everything was. The service can be a bit slow when wanting to order meat. The first time I went was on a weekday, so they don't have as much staff on the floor. It was still a bit slow. Then on the weekends, there's more staff but a lot more filled tables. I would recommend ordering a good amount of meat and trying to catch a waiter to order more. The cooked food also does not get stocked as frequently as I would have liked, so if you see something, I would just grab it before it runs out. Overall, this will be a staple celebration spot!

Yelp
Food - 2.5/5 - Mongolian style hot pot is always very flavorful in the soup. This place definitely nailed the soup base. The only complaint I had was the way the meat was cut way too thin. The Angus beef was cut so thin that when we tried to pick it up, it would break apart. If we managed to pick up some of the piece, it would disintegrate into the soup and we barely had anything left. The spring lamb, aged lamb and the beef short plate were pretty good though because that was actually edible. Price - $$ - $35 per person for the standard AYCE on a weekend is pretty good. You get everything you need from meats to the veggie bar. Drinks are not included in this Standard price, but it is included in the Premium AYCE which is about $45 dinner weekend price. Service - 2/5 - The server who seated us was very kind. The server who took our order was more comfortable with Chinese so we spoke with him in mandarin. I felt he was probably a bit new because he insisted we followed a certain format, which is fine. The lower rating is a result in the fact that while we were eating, no one came by for us to order more meat. The only time someone came by was at last call. Mind you, we were eating at 8pm and were clearing out the plates quickly but it was difficult to flag anyone down to order more meat. I hope they could be more mindful of that. Ambiance - 4/5 - The atmosphere is lively and the restaurant is clean. Very good spot for group hotpot but I wouldn't go past 4 people due to noise level. Location - 5/5 - Huge parking lot with plenty of parking and it shares a lot with a few other establishments. ____________ **Note: Location rating does not affect yelp review, this is just for informative purposes of other patrons only.

Yelp
Walked in on a Sunday after church... was seated within 10 minutes. There was a salad bar and desserts bar. It was messy! The broth was just ok. I wasn't a fan. Service was slow. We waited a long time to get our second round of meats. I wasn't impressed with the quality of meat. I'm not sure that I would go here again - I've had better hot pot. I do like their selection of veggies, noodles and the sesame ball were hit and fresh. I was being nice giving them 3 stars. It was just ok.

Yelp
Came for lunch a couple days ago. Drove pretty far as well to eat here and we were very excited but that excitement fell short upon this dismal location. When we got here we noticed their hot items at the buffet, were all pretty much empty, there wasn't much to choose from, just a few dumplings left and some bun items. It looked like the place had been closed and it was time to clean, yet it was only 3:30pm. I asked the server if they could please make more fried rice at least and sure enough not a single thing was ever restocked during our hour spent there. Not a single employee ever bothered to go into the food item station or restock or fix anything, this was rather alarming. I will include a picture of the hot item station. The noodle chow neon type dish that had been sitting there, the noodles were so hard that you could not even chew them. I literally had to spit out some of these rock hard noodles. I am honestly tremendously disappointed in this chain now as a whole. We first tried this restaurant in Vegas and we fell in love with it because of the service, ambiance and the food was great. They even had a lamb bone marrow type dish at the hot item buffet and lots of items to choose from. Well I gotta say this location here is the absolute worst, and we will never be coming back. The Huntington Beach location is slightly better than this location just because they don't leave stale food items out and empty dishes, and there's a fresh drink lemonade bar. This location didn't even have the drink bar station with lemonades, no tea, literally just soda but we don't drink soda. So at this location I couldn't even refill my water unless I sat for 10 minutes then asked the server. It did not seem like they were understaffed because it was not busy. Then once I asked for the bill since we noticed they were not going to be restocking any of the items, even though I asked, they tried to overcharge me too! So then I had to point out the menu lunch prices and get the bill adjusted. Talk about insult to injury. So service was terrible, food was old and stale and they wouldn't put fresh food out even after I requested. If a dish is completely empty, then restock it but to not see any employees go into the food stations for over 1 hour is just horrible. So of course when we got home we had tummy aches and it's from bad food handling. AVOID THIS PLACE! Someone is bound to get sick from them not handling their food properly! This was on Tuesday 11/23/25 at precisely 3:30pm by the way in case any management needs to know. Management needs to address this place or owners need to retrain staff! I think for now on I'm only going to go to the Vegas location since now 2 visits in SoCal have been tremendously disappointing

Yelp
Happy Lamb Hot Pot is quite new to the City of Industry. I came during dinner time recently and loved it. This is an all-you-can-eat Chinese-style hot pot that has a buffet bar decked out with so many items and they were so delicious! My favorite hot food item was the deep fried chicken wings, stir fried vegetables and also the sauce bar is legit! As the name states it is lamb but they also do carry beef and pork! We got the second tier to try out more meat items which all came out delicious. Loved it and would come back again!! Our server was super nice as well and was quick at ordering our meats. Overall it came out quite quickly and we had a really nice time with the party three! So if you are craving hot pot which I crave all the time, this could be a go-to spot for you.

Yelp
It's good to see a new Mongolian style hot pot in the neighborhood. This place gets pretty packed during peak hours. We came in after lunch rush so no wait for us which was nice. The restaurant itself is spacious and relaxing. The menu was big with good choices of soup bases, meats and seafood. I recommend the higher tier of option if you love seafood. Some of the soup bases are gluten free! They currently not serving alcohol. The beverage bar is unlimited for a fee, the fresh watermelon juice was very refreshing. We enjoyed the Wagyu beef, shrimp paste and tiger shrimps so much. Everything was fresh and tasty. The service was very friendly and attentive. Veggie bar was great but the hot food station didn't look very appetizing. Overall this is a great new Chinese hot pot place that we would come in from time to time!

The food was decent, though the soup base leaned heavy and salty for my liking. There were three of us, and we ate most of what we ordered, leaving only a little side dishes because we were full. At checkout, the waitress warned us that leftovers would be charged, which didn't sit well with us. If you're going to call yourself "all you can eat," charging customers for uneaten food feels misleading. You might as well charge a la cart. While I get that some people may waste food, that shouldn't mean all customers are penalized.

Yelp
Hmmm, all i can say was everyone but the chinese lady with her hair tied back with glasses was nice. Here you go leave 8 ounces of food or more and you will pay for one more person. I would definitely say it wasnt more then usual, and this place the Lady wasnt going to change her mind. Thank you, youll never see me again. And if you get the chinese lady with glasses, shell be telling you im going to charge you more as you are eating.

Yelp
New hot pot restaurant in the area! It's located in the same plaza as Target, so there's plenty of open spaces for parking. We came very early for dinner so there was plenty of tables open for seating. We were rather a large party of 12 people with 4 kids, so it was best for us to snatch those tables and eat early haha. This location is AYCE and they have their own salad bar in the middle of the restaurant. We ended up choosing the HAPPIER set and we mainly ordered the beef and lamb here. That's basically all you need to be extremely full here. The meat quality here is pretty nice, although, once cooked, I notice they all shrivel up to a small piece of meat. This goes for all their meats, maybe because they're all cut so thinly? but once cooked, the meat just shrivels up sooo much. Otherwise, the ingredients on the sides were nice. The crab sticks, vegetables, etc. Everything was very clean and orderly. I also liked how they had the fish roe ball that I really liked from yintang! I would say all their hot food items are pretty mid though. They taste like they were brought from somewhere else and were just reheated here. So personally, I don't think they really taste that good lol. They also have a soft drink machine and a lemonade station. I found this a bit odd because this was such an American thing to have an expected to have Asian drinks or dessert here haha. Also their ice cream, it doesn't look like the healthiest type of ice cream they have since it includes natural AND artificial ingredients, and it did taste a bit too fake, so that was a turn off for me. Anyways, the meat quality and fresh vegetables & ingredients here are pretty nice. I actually enjoyed the spicy broth from the "Best of Both Worlds" broth, because it had a little fun spice to it. It wasn't even spicy at all. Once you put some ingredients in it, it didn't even look red at all. For the price of this AYCE hot pot, I feel like it's pretty decent to try.

Yelp
I was craving hot pot and decided to check out this location. I've been to the Rosemead location a few times but during my last time there, I was a bit disappointed so I decided to see if this location is any good. Once I got there, the parking lot is a lot better than the Rosemead location. It's located in the same plaza as target so parking is easier to find. There were 10 parties ahead of me on a Friday night at 8pm but the wait was not bad. I only waited about 10 minutes. Once I got seated and looked at the menu, I noticed they had a lot more options than the one in the Rosemead location. They have shrimp paste, fish dumplings, egg dumplings, surf clam and more. I ordered my meat and soup base and went to get some cooked food to eat while I waited for the pot to come. They didn't have as much cooked food option as the Rosemead location but the fried chicken was so good. So juicy and crispy. After I finished my plate of food, all the meat came but noticed the hot pot didn't come yet. We thought they forgot our soup but it eventually came. I enjoyed the Australian wagyu beef brisket and the beef toro the most. The angus beef was a little too lean for my liking but it was thinly sliced so it was too bad. I really liked their purple noodles. I also liked how they have quail eggs and different types of fish balls. Service was good as well. Servicer came a few times to see if we needed water or soup refills. Meat also came out pretty quickly too. I will definitely come back when I am craving hot pot!

Yelp
As a frequent patron of the Happy Lamb in Boston's Chinatown (since I work in Boston and occasionally fly home to Rowland Heights), I was pleasantly surprised to see a new location replace the old Romano's Macaroni Grill. Happy Lamb offers a nominally Mongolian-style hot pot, though it's clearly adjusted to suit a Chinese palate. I'm fairly certain this chain either used to be Little Sheep or is somehow related. This is not a Sichuan-style hot pot spot loaded with numbing spice. If you want that, go to Malubianbian, ShangChengLaMeiZi, Haidilao, etc. instead.. So what exactly does Happy Lamb offer? It's AYCE, priced in the upper $20s to $30s depending on the day, with a base tier and an optional upsell tier. I went on a Sunday night at 6:30 p.m. and paid $38.99 per person for the upsell option. Each party is limited to 90 minutes of dining time. The marrow broths, both spicy and non-spicy, are the highlight here. They're rich and herbal, the kind of soup you'd expect from a Cantonese restaurant that simmers its stock for half a day (well maybe they cheated and boosted it, but it's delicious still). The meat selection is clean and well presented. Sliced meats are ordered through the servers, while everything else -- vegetables, meatballs, rice noodles, and more -- is available on self-serve refrigerated shelves. Service here exceeds expectations. The staff are polite, patient, and efficient, with not a hint of disinterest or attitude. Overall, this location perfectly captures what I love about Happy Lamb and makes for a reliable go-to hot pot experience.

Yelp
This place is a new restaurant that just opened up. It is AYCE unlimited hot pot. There are two packages that you can choose from and those packages allow you to order different types of hot pot meat. You can also choose the different suit basis that you want to cook your hot pot in. There is also an open bar where you can get items such as meatballs, vegetables, mushrooms, and put them inside your soup, there's also a sauce bar where you could make a dipping sauce for the meat The service staff here is super nice. This is a family environment, but please be advised that there are hot plates. I came out around 5 PM and there was no weight however when I left, it was a long wait.

Yelp
15 people around Thanksgiving time. Waitress told us straight up not to order too much of the premium limited items, fear we can't finish. If you go in a big party, be sure to max out all the limited items before ordering the regular items and just don't listen to whatever they say. They discourage from ordering just to save a few bucks for themselves. As we ordered items separately, we lost counts of the limited items. There were items that we ordered that never arrived. Since we had a party of 15, the meat orders were all messed up and we lost track. The waitresses did not care. The would bring the meat platters, dropped off wherever and left. The whole dining experience was a mess and we didnt enjoy at all. We will never go back.

Yelp
Soft opening- great service The server was very nice and took the time to explain their soft opening menu Ambiance is well lit modern and clean Food had a decent selection for hot food and the one you put in hot pot We order the $38.99 that comes with 1 per table lamb leg. It pretty good and a good size portion - For an all you can eat hot pot I gotta say their meat is also pretty tender and good quality. The best part is the ice cream is the tasty ones not the knock off one. I got lucky our server gives us both chocolate and vanilla. If they can make the ice cream all you can eat too I'll probably go for third round of chocolate as it was very rich and creamy.

Yelp
Incredible value and unbeatable quality at the price point. The Basic AYCE is $26 during lunch time and $30 for dinner. We got seated at around 7:45 on a Saturday night and although it was populated, we had no wait for a party of 4. A single table for 4 has one pot to share in the middle where you can do a solo broth or a half and half broth of your choosing. You are able to order 6 meats at a time. To be honest, our party was prioritizing quanity over quality since not many places offer AYCE shabu under $30, but as soon as the plates hit the table (not to mention very quickly), it was already clear that the meat would be very good. Our favorite was the Beef Toro which was super tender, and all the other meats were yummy as well. They also have a pretty extensive sauce bar, even equipped with soy sauce, black vinegar, and sesame oil dispensers which I've never seen before so that was pretty cool haha. They also had all the usual offerings for veggies + sides to throw in your broth plus a buffet bar with yummy stewed meat and some fried options like gyoza. The interior is quite nice, bathrooms are clean, and buffet was restocked quite regularly even approaching closing time. One thing I will note is that, our waiter did not really come by often. For the almost hour and a half that we were there, the waiter checked on us to order meat only once besides the very first order which was like 50 mins later. He also did not refill our waters once the entire meal. I just ended up going to where the waiters get water and filled my own glass haha. Then at the very end of our meal we flagged down a separate waiter to fill our glass. I understand it is soft opening though, and it would be appreciated if kinks with service could be ironed out the next time we come here. The 2 girls at the front were very sweet though! Overall, I think this is a no brainer to at least be included in the running in your group's next shabu cravings if you're around Rowland Heights!

Yelp
I finally got to try this place for lunch. It was AWESOME! I loved that the basic meal set had everything I needed. It was perfect and I like that it had Lamb, Chicken, Pork and Beef. Momo Paradise only has Pork & Beef, not nearly as enough. Awesome self serve area. HOWEVER, the -2 Star because I noticed a LOT of gnat's and flying insects around the Sauce Bar. As the Garlic, Scallion's, Sauce were all exposed, I'm pretty sure they're laying egg's in there. Not good. Close up those containers, clean it up and I'll change my review back to 5 Star's.

Yelp
Food is really good and we got the Happier/Premium Menu. Both Australian Wagyus were delicious including the Angus Beef and Snakehead Fish. The Wagyu has the perfect amount of fat and meat. They also have a self-serve bar , a sauce bar and a small dessert section. It's nice that in their side bar that they bbq pork which is rare to find in an ayce hotpot. There was also ice cream for the premium menu and it was okay. The staff were nice and friendly. Service was quick with bringing out the meats. However when putting down a name for the waitlist , they said it doesn't work online so it's best to put down a name for a party in-person. Overall the interior is minimal and lux with pretty decorations and comfortable seats. Will definitely come back again!

Yelp
Big location, efficient staff but the extras are limited. Great selection of meats, offering an array of fresh cut meats for your hot pot. The soup bases are pretty good, with a nice selection for both adults and younger tasting palettes. The veggies are limited but they have water cress and the usual stuff. There's a small selection of fresh seafood and a pretty comprehensive selection of noodles and fish balls. The cooked section is where I get lost at, with a fried section and a Chinese filler section to add to your meal. Fountain drinks are ready for the thirst and usually small cake pieces to finish off your meal. While loud, it wasn't above any of the usual Asian places you go to with a large group - I wouldn't recommend for a quiet date. Lovely place and easy to bring the kids to (they charge kids by height, not age). Will probably be back for more

Yelp
Great spot for Ayce chinese hot pot! It's in the same plaza as Target and Ross so there's a lot of parking. It looks like this location recently opened. I came on a Friday night around 7:30 and it was about a 20 minute wait for 7 people. The inside was really nice, clean, and fairly large. They can also seat larger parties. There's two menu to choose from: * Happy $29.99 * Happier premium $38.99 We went with the happier menu which comes with Australian wagyu blade and beef brisket, a crispy baked lamb shank (these three items are limited), mussels, house shrimp paste, and some other meat selection. They have 5 different soup base options and you can choose one or two. You order the meat with the server and get your side items at the buffet bar. They have a great selection of veggies and fish balls. They also have a lot more options to make your own sauces compared to other hot pot places. Also enjoyed the fried milk buns with condense milk and fried sesame balls at the buffet bar. Unlimited refills on soft drinks for $2.50 per person. The service was also amazing and several people checked up on us to make sure we received all our items. Very attentive and definitely was a great experience for our first time. Overall, would definitely come back and worth it for the price.

Yelp
Came by on a Saturday night around 8:30 PM and we got on the waitlist on yelp. It honestly didn't take as long as it said, maybe about 40 minutes for a party of four and when we got on the list we were number 10. There was plenty of parking out front, and when we walked right in, we were seated at a table. We were given menus and told to browse which soup bases we would like first. We ended up getting the split soup base, one spicy and one not spicy. Then we ended up getting the happy menu which was $31.99/pp. Then we helped ourselves to the self serve area where they have a variety of sauce, condiments, vegetables, appetizers, and other proteins. They also have drinks for an additional cost. And they also have a dessert area too. Overall, it was pretty clean and had a good variety. We did have to wait a while for the deer to come out again after asking a staff member. For the meats, we especially enjoyed the lamb, and the beef belly. Everything else is pretty good too, but those were particularly the ones that we enjoyed from the happy menu.

Yelp
Food : meat quality decent , not too many selections for seafood and vegetables. Service: ok Price is fairly cheap for the quality of the meat If they don't keep raising it up

Yelp
At first, I like this hotpot place, restaurant is clean and new, variety of foods choices from the bar, soup base is delicious but what cause me to deduct 1-1.5 stars is the misleading menu price for weekday lunch. I came here today, a Friday for lunch and was surprised by the misleading pricing on their menu. The menu clearly says "Weekdays Lunch $26.99 (Exclude Holidays)," and Friday is obviously a weekday. However, the staff told us that their "weekday price" only applies Monday to Thursday, and we were charged a higher price. This is very misleading for customers since Friday is still a weekday. The restaurant should be more honest and clear in their menu to avoid confusing or deceiving diners. Very disappointed with this experience.

Yelp
The soup base was far too salty, so we won't be coming back. I came with a group of friends -- this was our first visit, and also our last.

Yelp
Overall a decent experience. Unfortunately they are understaffed so patience is needed when dining here but selection & food was good for the base tier that we got. The main issue is all the kids running around unsupervised but that's mostly a parental problem- it would help if they required parent supervision while grabbing meats though because there were multiple instances where a kid tried crawling into our booth / ran into us while grabbing meats. Again, not the staff's fault but rules should be implemented to prevent accidents. Staff is super kind and deserve recognition though, props to them for dealing with such an inconsiderate environment.

Yelp
I revisited for my birthday dinner. They have a birthday wheel, and I was able to win a free dinner (for myself) plus five $5 coupons that can be used for the next five visits. The restaurant recently updated its menu with new items, including a third tier that features unlimited Lamb Shank and Wagyu Brisket. Compiled information from last visit, new info will be in *: -*Cotton Candy: Available upon request. Can take about 10 minutes to make . Flavors include strawberry, watermelon, blue raspberry, and grape. -*Senior and Kid Discounts: Seniors get $3 off, and kids under a certain height may qualify for a free or half-priced meal. -*Gratuity: Gratuity isn't stated on the menu. When my waitress was explaining the breakdown of the expenses on her device, she didn't mention the added gratuity. I ended up tipping twice after taking a closer look at the receipt (which I received after I had paid). Fortunately, the front desk was understanding, and the refund process was quick and smooth. -*Reservation: If you want to reserve a room, everyone in your party will need to order the third tier. The reserved room comes with 3 pots. Or else, the seating outside allows your party to get maximum of 2 pots and fit around 8-10 people. -*Self-serving bar: large variety of item, including fruits and dessert. Everything looks clean and organize. -*Seafood (3/5): Not a big seafood fan... And all the seafood here can get pretty fishy. I'd recommend you just get another type of meat instead. -I recommend getting Best of Both Worlds, which allow you to mix and match (any) two soup bases in one pot. Perfect for trying out different soup bases. -*Tomato Soup Base (4/5): Flavorful without being overly sour, I just don't know which ingredient pairs well with tomato soup base. -Original Marrow (4.5/5) : Still my favorite. The broth is flavorful and rich, featuring strong herbal notes when sipped on its own. I will say that the herbal flavor may not appeal to everyone. -Spicy Marrow (4.5/5) : Milder than expected, but still effective at getting rid of some of the fishiness in seafood. The broth is good if you want to try mala spicy beef and garlic beef without distorting the original flavor of the soup base. -Mushroom (3.5/5) : I was expecting a more pronounced mushroom flavor. It was not bad but nothing stood out in the broth for me to reorder. -Ambience (5/5) : The interior is beautifully designed with a soothing brown color palette. The restaurant consists of two dining areas and a self-serving bar. One side is bright, suitable for family outings and friend gatherings. The other was dim with light shining down on your table, putting the hot pot under the spotlight and creating a more romantic experience. -Service (4.5/5) : Servers are friendly, and very accommodating. During busy times, foods can take longer to come up, so do request them early. I wish there are call buttons to ring them over, because it can be difficult to get their attention with so many customers.

Yelp
The broth was just not it for me. It had a weird cumin taste, I guess it's Mongolian style? I'm from Sichuan so it didn't sit right with me. The service was barely there, definitely under staffed. The place was nice and big. But they need more than one sauce bar, everyone is just hovering over the sauce bar. Don't think I'll be going back. Meat quality was good!

Yelp
I'm definitely a happy lamb after eating here! Food: Food is top notch. I love that they have a raw bar to be cooked and then a fresh foods bar that is always well-stocked. They have a variety of seafood and raw food/vegetables that can be cooked in the broth. The fresh foods are great because they are full of flavor and never dry, my favorite is the fried bread buns and the chicken wings! Lastly, the raw meat selection is great. If you haven't been to hot pot before, you cook the raw meat in the soup and let it boil. They have different soups to choose from but my party and I typically get the two basic ones. They have 3 set selections to choose from with each increasing price tier. You definitely can't go wrong with the first tier but if you want a little more variety, you can do the one above that and it includes more lamb selections. Service: The meat comes out mad slow sometimes and is never consistent so it can be a little frustrating if you pay for the higher meat tiers. But the service itself from the front counter to the servers is great. It may be because it's a newer location but they are definitely on top of the service. Water gets filled, servers check in, and we even got offered cotton candy at the end. The food bar is clean and the bathroom is too. The other locations, not so much. Overall, I've been here twice so far and it definitely won't be the last. Thanks for keeping this lamb happy!
