One of the best hot pots we’ve ever had. The broth is so flavorful and rich. All the ingredients from the buffet are fresh and frequently replaced. The meat cuts were amazing. There was a decent wait time but it is understandable during the weekend. We will definitely return. We loved it.

First time trying out Hotpot . It was such a great experience. The service were great, friendly & very helpful. We tried the half & half broth. We ordered the medium hot on one side but it was too spicy for us . Everything else was great. We definitely are going back & trying a different combination. Thank you!👍👍

Google
I’m always gonna give hotpots like this a five out of five stars and I will say the food is quite good and the broth is as good as I expected. They have an hour and a half time limit but since there weren’t people waiting they didn’t enforce to time limit. We stayed until they are about to close and they do enforce it. Overall I would go back and enjoyed my time.

Brought my whole crew here to celebrate the end of my semester. (May 21, 2023) Update: Mother’s day sale. Details in picture of poster. (May, 2023) Just came back for another Friday lunch. More than worth the 20.51 (after tax, before tip) price tag for my Froday noon all you can eat. Choice meats are shaven to order, all else laid out in the buffet area. I’ve missed this genuine fill-my-own-plate buffet experience. Ingredients fresh and the place efficiently run. There’s magic in a big roomful of faces all glowing with joy.

Google
Well stocked hotpot buffet and self serve sauces, which I love :) the provided drinks are delicious too, I recommend the jasmine green tea! The service is good and environment is clean. Highly recommend this place for a friends and family gathering.

My brother and I always come here and leave satisfied. The broth is flavorful, meat is fresh, everything is just tasty! Especially if you know how to make a goood sauce. The one thing I’m upset about is that they took out the beef artory 😭 Please bring it back happy lamb plzzzz 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Google
Great place for Hot Pot..... we did visit on Sunday and good crowd.... Great food and great service. we ordered both kind of broth spicy and non spicy.... with mushroom combo (cooks in 30 sec), emoki mushroom (cooks in 10 sec), fish fillet (cooks in 1-2), potato takes longer, lamb and chicken (in 30 sec), tofu in around 30 to 40 sec ...overall experience was great.... come with a group of 4 or more to enjoy good amount meat and vegetable option... takes almost 1 to 2 hour to finish...

Google
AYCE hotpot for about $28-29. Your choice of broth and protein. In the hallway is an open 'bar' as many veggies, noodles, seafood as you want. They also have a sauce bar so you can make your own sauce. They also have a great selection choice of tea and it's included in your meal. We did half and half broth - regular and spicy broth. There was a holiday special of abalone and sliced wagyu beef for addition $6. Definitely recommend trying it out!

Yelp
Solid hot pot spot in Chinatown. All you can eat for $26 dinner includes a big bar of veggies, noodles and seafood as well as unlimited basic meat options and drinks (taro milk tea, ice tea, lemonade). The spicy broth had a great flavor! The sauce bar was missing some usual staples (I.e. peanut sauce), but had most of what you might want. Overall the staff was very kind and my group enjoyed our hotpot experience! There is also some gum and candy to grab on your way out! :)

Yelp
This was my mother's and I first hot pot experience. We were clueless about everything. Stepping into the foyer it was empty, clean and nicely appointed. However we had no idea just how crowded The Happy Lamb really was. As we were ushered past the buffet and into the dining room table after table was piled high with food. I got a little scared wondering what we had really gotten ourselves into especially with the food waste clause that is stated on the menu. We ordered the regular all you can eat with the best of both worlds broths. Our server explained cooking times to us which was extremely beneficial. After getting that out of the way we headed to the buffet. I was surprised there were some already cooked items like spring rolls, kimchi, a chicken dish but the rest needed to be added to the pot. All told we cooked what I thought was a massive amount of food. We really enjoyed and can't wait to go back. And we had very little food waste so I felt like a champion! The only negative for mom and I were the shrimp. Not deveined.

Yelp
Happy Lamb Hot Pot is a delicious AYCE hotpot place in Philly. You'll always be able to find a table. The servers are attentive to your hotpot. They'll add more bone broth if your soup it running low. The spicy broth isn't insanely spicy. It was more flavored with Chillis and sichuan peppercorns. The bone broth really helps mellow out the spice. The AYCE accounts for meats! I ordered plenty of beef and pork. I love how there is a buffet of ingredients that you can additionally add to the hot pot. They have everything from different types of noodles, oden, veggies, to seafood. I enjoyed the oden, fish, and mushrooms in my hotpot. The size of the restaurant can fit many people. So there will be room if you have a large party. But they have booths for smaller parties. I had a great experience at Happy Lamb! I would come back.

Yelp
They have been reopened, it was still an all you can eat and a few premium items that had a surcharge on, foods were fresher and the broth was definitely richer. Drink were included and there were different kinds of tea/milk tea(my favorite was the lychee)and hot chocolate! The sauce station had a limited option but all the basic and popular ones, I like how they had a recipe out for people who might be doing it the first time. The chicken was marinated very well! Tender and juicy, definitely my favorite meat choice out of them all. They didn't have crab as of mid March and the menu did listed it as a seasonal item. Services was friendly and attentive(broth refilling, plates emptying from table), even though it's mostly a self-service restaurant. Try it for yourself and take as much as you can eat! Disclosure: **might be a surcharge for food waste** *Accept both credit card and cash*

Yelp
This is a good hot pot place to go to if other hot pot joints in Chinatown are too busy. My friend and I came here starving after work on a Thursday. We ordered the half original and half spicy broth. The original tasted like your typical bone broth and the spicy broth was milder than expected. The salad/vegetable bar was barren that day. They ran out of udon noodles (I snagged the last few pieces), enoki mushrooms (a staple), beef and fish balls, spinach, bok choy, and other vegetables that I consider are staples for a good hot pot. For meats, we ordered both kinds of lamb, beef, and kurobuta pork. We got thirds (maybe fourths) of the marbled lamb and kurobuta pork because it was so delicious with the spicy broth! All in all, don't expect a *mind blowing* hot pot experience here. It's decent for the price. If you think this will be the same experience as Little Sheep, you're in for a disappointment. There's less meat choices/varieties in sides now.

Yelp
Don't take this out of context, but I have salty, savory dreams about their raw beef. ::drool:: In all seriousness, I get salt-depleted sodium cravings for this place and I surface from the train and my brain magnetically brings me here. They have ox aorta, too.

Yelp
Solid, more affordable ACYE hot pot experience. The toppings bar has good selection (had all of my favorites including a wide selection of meatballs and veggies), the meat is fresh, and the broth is flavorful. Good place to go for a filling, hot meal that won't break the bank!

Yelp
Amazing buffet family-style hotpot, great for groups of all sizes! The spicy bone broth was definitely my table's favorite to dip in! They have a variety of meats to choose from that all complement the broth well. Overall an amazing hotpot experience in Philly! Separate from the meats, they have a self-serve bar of veggies, mushroom, meatballs, sauces, etc. to add into the pot as well. Loved the oyster mushrooms and Youtiao. They had interesting drinks, including plum juice and kumquat lemon drinks (very refreshing)! I personally wish they had a wider selection of things to add to the pot- some of my personal preferences being enoki mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms (I'm a pretty big fun-guy fan)- but perhaps cultural differences (although they did call Youtiao "croutons"). My biggest critique of the restaurant would have to be the serving sizes- way too big. This resulted in inevitable waste for our tables that could be used for others and save the restaurant $! Since it is all-you-can-eat, I wish there was smaller plates, perhaps even half the size of the plates they gave us, and order more as we go (we got all the plates of meats at once, too generous!!). We were definitely overwhelmed and saddened by how we couldn't prevent this waste. I really hope the management will take this into consideration to benefit all parties. Overall a fun atmosphere and great service! I believe they recently changed their name from "Little Sheep" to "Happy Lamb" so that was a little confusing on maps LOL. The space is also pretty small for occupancy so be sure to reserve in advance! Also, ask about any discounts for birthdays, etc.- the management/staff was very friendly and accommodating!

Yelp
Beautiful place. My favorite parts are how nicely the food is laid out, the fantastic service, and the DRINKS! This AYCE place includes delicious drinks (like lychee green tea, taro milk tea, etc.). The meat also does seem high quality, but was unfortunately a little fatty for me. They also have pink pineapple which was a fun side dish. Biggest con is the szechuan/mala broth was not as flavorful/spicy as I was expecting. There is a small chance I developed food poisoning from this, but I'm not completely sure/convinced so I will not let it affect my review.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the all you can eat bar station where we can get unlimited sauces, vegetables, meatballs, noodles, etc. Their fried spring rolls and dumplings were also good except dumplings were a bit stale, definitely have been out for some time. The original bone marrow broth was the best broth, we'll probably just get that next time. Honestly we didn't even need to dip anything into the sauces we made, broth was very flavorful. We got the first option of meats that included pork, lamb, and beef brisket platter. Our first round of lamb was amazing; lamb was not gamey at all and was the best tasting lamb we've had so we had to order more. However, our second round of lamb looked it like has been sitting out, looked nothing like the first round, had brown coloring on the edges, and was gamey. We were so disappointed by that but regardless we still had a great experience. Staff was attentive and nice.

Yelp
This is my go to hot pot spot in Philly. The meats are fresh and they have more options on a counter for you to get other things like veggies, tripe, mushroom etc, whenever you want. It's also all you can eat at an affordable price (come at lunch for the lunch special!). You have to wait for your whole party before you are seated but the service is always quick. When they say 1.5hours limit, they mean it 'cause they will come and shut off the stove lol. But honestly, I don't mind because I do need to be stopped; the food is so good! They come to your table frequently enough so you can order more meats if needed. Highly recommend in Philly if you're looking for hot pot and want to know the price upfront. You won't need it after because of how full you'll be, but there's also a bubble tea spot nearby so you can have the perfect outing .

Yelp
My first hot pot experience! Happy Lamb was a fun time - we visited with a large group of people, but luckily we could make reservations on short notice. The restaurant is large, although we did wind up sitting at 2 separate tables given our group size (not a huge deal). It was decently full when we were there on a Saturday night, but we didn't feel crowded or anything. We saw the BYOB status before arriving, so we brought a few bottles of wine with us to enjoy, and our waiter quickly brought over appropriate glassware. Our waiter was pretty hands off, which felt appropriate since a lot of the experience is user dependent. I did wish I had a bit more of a walkthrough with how the meal would go since this was my first time at hot pot, but luckily our friends guided me. If visiting independently though, more oversight from the waiter would be appreciated. We did the "best of both worlds" soup (although I stuck to the non-spicy half). We picked almost all of the meats / proteins to try, but our favorites were the lamb and garlic beef by far. The selections at the bar were plentiful - there honestly wasn't anything I wished was on there! I appreciated the variety of vegetables as well as meat and non-meat protein options. The sauces had a variety of texture and heat, and the mixing suggestions were appreciated and helpful. We went up a few times to fill up our plates again and try some new options - loved the mushroom variety and the peanut sauce, particularly. We spent a decent amount of time at Happy Lamb, and we never felt rushed at all. Our server, while he didn't give much oversight at the beginning, was attentive to our water and soup situation, filling as needed. He even hooked us up with a number of coupons for a return visit! Overall, our experience at Happy Lamb was positive, and I would return again. Thanks for a fun night out with friends!

Yelp
We came here for lunch and it was amazing! Salty, but what do you expect? We really loved that you can get up and get other things for the hotpot other than sauces. They have drinks, extra rice, spring rolls, you name it. This is better than a lot of other places I have tried. We were even able to bring our baby in her stroller, though we had to ask to make more space (bulky stroller...). They're accommodating enough! There was even some desserts and although it was not the best, it was a very nice addition. Heads up - they don't seem to have soda beverages! Just milk tea stuff that you can help yourself to.

Yelp
DELICIOUS First hot pot experience. Was super impressed. We had no idea what we were doing and they kindly explained multiple times and were very helpful without judgement. The buffet had a wide variety of vegetables, sauces, drinks, and seafood. I ordered the chicken and it was tender and delicious. Got the spicy cabbage broth and the tomato broth and SO GOOD. Flavorful and mouthwatering. Everything was fresh too. I really enjoyed my experience and would come here again.

Yelp
The hot pot here is...OK. Not a wide selection and not a very fresh one at that. My friend and I came here because we were in a rush and no other hot pot spots had space. 1. Broth: Ordered the spicy broth and it was not very flavorful nor spicy. We asked for more spice and it seemed as though the waitress simply poured in more chili oil. We ended up with a less-than-spicy, oily broth. 2. Meat: The meat is cut extremely thin - like way thinner than regular shabu meat - if you don't bunch it all together, you will lose it in the pot. Tasted low quality and cheap, lots of fat not a lot of meat. We ordered some type of garlic beef, which literally came frozen. 3. Vegetable selection: The vegetable selection is sparse, I couldn't find any mushrooms and the vegetables that were there all felt as though they were about to go bad at any moment. Additionally, I'm not sure if this was because we came later in the evening, but they didn't often replenish the things at the food bar that were empty. I don't know if this place is for me. I feel like I would rather have done hot pot myself at home. This is a very average hot pot place which won't satisfy a hot pot craving well.

Yelp
I enjoyed this hotpot location. All you can eat with lots of fresh veggy and protein options. It isn't taking covid precautions other than masks and the drinks were all room temperature. The buffet style is cool but is risky with covid. I would not come here again until AFTER the pandemic unless they begin implementing some precautions like barriers, social distancing, and covered food/sauce style buffets. But it had delicious food and that made me full and happy!
google avatar

Alise R.

Yelp
Pre-pandemic we would come here a lot for kids birthdays because they really loved it. We hadn't been here since - but recently one of the kids asked to come here for his birthday so we decided to come back. Happy Lamb used to be named Little Sheep but it pretty much appears to be the same place w a new name. The restaurant is a hot pot - which we really enjoy. We always pick the split broths - and I really only use the non-hot side bc I'm a wimp w spice. We order several of the meats and then head up to the buffet to pick our other items - of which there are soooo many choices. They have veggies, meats, eggs, seafood, and some really random things like ox aorta (at least that is random to me haha - but of course I tried it out). The great thing is you can can pick as much or as little of any of the buffet items as you want and if you like it you can go back for more! Like, who would have guess cabbage would be so good cooked in broth? Since we last had been there they added an ice tea bar with many tea flavors to pick from. I enjoyed the Thai milk tea. Everyone else at my table was drinking all the fruit flavors. The servers were great but at some point they stopped coming to our table. We really needed more broth added to our pot and it was hard to get someone to come over and help us with that. I do understand that there is a server shortage tho so I'm not gonna hold that against them. It was just kinda of annoying at the time that we didn't have enough broth to cook the food on the non spicy side of the pot. They used to have ice cream but now they have a little dessert area where you can get cookies and I forget what else? Overall Happy Lamb is a really fun and delicious place to eat. And if you don't mind over eating then you will enjoy it even more!

Yelp
There are quite a few hot pots in philly and this one is tops. Veggies and fish are fresh, buffet style while meats are ordered. We had brisket, rib eye, lamb, tongue, shoulder, and all was fresh and delicious. It's all you can eat so they loosely limit you to 1.5 hrs. Friendly, fast service. BYOB with no dastardly corkage fees. Clean, spartan atmosphere. And always a fun time with friends.
google avatar

Edward T.

Yelp
Love the Lamb and the Beef hot pot, also it's great that they make their own noodles and rice cakes here.

Yelp
Great options for hotpot but lacked in the buffet sides section. Great for a rainy day or if you are craving hot pot.

Yelp
as a returning customer for a while... I was very disappointed with this visit. Service: 1/5 Each time I visit, the service declines. As a frequent visitor it is sad that the service is not the same especially if it is the same servers each time. They barely came to check up on us and refill the soup. We started as a party of 4 and 20 mins in we had someone else join us. We did tell them when we sat that someone else is joining and we would like to be moved to a bigger table. Note, we had a side booth to begin with, which was already cramped and all the other bigger booths were open. When our last person did join us, a chair was pulled up rather than moving us. I do not see any issues in moving us when we first requested because 1. it would save them the hassle of cleaning the table after we started to eat 2. save the hassle of moving all the plates and food to the new table. We dined for 1 hour and 45 mins but note at the 1.5 hour mark we were just finishing our food and chatting. There was also no other parties or reservations waiting and plenty of other tables open. One of the server came over to us and told us we had to go, not in a nice way but "you guys have been here for 1 hour and 45 mins then time limit is 1.5 hr". If it was me as a server I would allow them to stay and chat as long as if they are not eating and no parties waiting for a table. We started our visit there happy but then we left mad with the service we were provided. Our server was the short tanned skin male. and we had him as a server before and tipped him well before so we had no issue with him before until today. it felt as if we were pressure to leave early and leave a good tip while we were provided with bad service. the bill was even brought to out table in a rude approach and the stove was lowered without asking us for our experience or if we were finished or not. When we were paying they watched us like hawks to make sure we check marked the 18%. I do not recommend this type of service at any restaurant. They make it feel as if regardless of the service they provide a 18% gratuity is required. We definitely did not feel welcomed. I guess next time we will just wait the 2 hours for our go to hot pot place to open up Food: 2/5 The food option is always changing and each visit there is less and less to eat. Before they had quail eggs and now there is none. As for the VIP option there used to be more premium meats and now it is similar to the regular package and it is double the price of the regular. regardless of the name, for a hotpot place, the only options for meat were lamb and beef, which were suboptimal cuts. Less drink options now too. The teas are watered down and only consists of thai. plum, and sweet tea.

Yelp
A few friends and I came to Little Sheep "Mongolian" Hot Pot for a dinner. The restaurant is in Chinatown on Arch St. Parking is a hit or miss; the areas in front of the restaurant and around the corner are always tough to find parking, but if you go a block over in front of the Convention Center/Reading Terminal, there are usually more parking spots (though can still be full). We were able to contact the restaurant ahead of time and place our name on the list, but we still had a short wait. Walking into the restaurant was quite amazing because you can smell the wonderful aromatics from the broths right away. You see the buffet and the vast amount of ingredients you cannot wait to put into your hot pot. After being seated, we choose the broths and the meats. I'm not really sure how this is "Mongolian" since it seems like a normal Asian/Chinese hot pot to me. Plus, most of the employees speak Chinese (some can ONLY speak Chinese, which is tough). We ended up doing the half-half, and the spicy broth was really amazing (lots of Sichuan peppers). and was very tasty It's pretty much all-you-can-eat, which is pretty awesome for any party size. The buffet consists mostly of the non-meat options (veggies, tofu, etc.), but includes seafood (ie fish balls) and some cooked foods (rice, fried dumplings, chicken wings). Trust me, you'll become full rather quickly. They don't have a bar, but it's BYOB and we brought a bottle of wine, which they provided wine glasses with no fee. Finally, price is decent for an AYCE hot pot buffet (~$23/person without tip/tax).

Yelp
From our group of 6, for most of us it was our first time trying hot pot and we didn't really get an explanation on what to expect when we were seated but after our server came over he explained the popular meats from the menu. My favorite was probably the garlic beef or the beef platter one. There were lots of noodle options which was cool. The broths were fine, I thought they kinda made everything taste the same. We did find a fly in the food from the buffet portion.
google avatar

Veng H.

Yelp
Went with 8 friends for my birthday. First of all, you eat for free on your birthday! Huge win. Second, it's BYOB! Third, food was fresh and lot of variety. The premium menu was awesome. The broths were perfect and the sauce bar left little to be desired. I've had a lot of hot pot and this is my favorite in a Philly.
google avatar

Sofie C.

Yelp
I really like the serve yourself aspect of this hot pot place, it makes it easier to get the right proportions so I don't waste food. The broth is very flavorful. It's also AYCE drinks too, and for your birthday, you eat free in your party. Only been here for dinner so I want to come for lunch sometime since it's cheaper, but the service is good and I never have to wait too long. It's a fun atmosphere and it's my go to hot pot place.
google avatar

Mary D.

Yelp
Little Sheep is officially now an AYCE! They revamped the front to a buffet bar where you can pick from small appetizers, rice, noodles, vegetables, seafood, and dipping sauces. It was clean when we went. We did notice that a lot of the originally choices (esp meat and seafood selection) have been erased off the menu but I guess this is the downside of being an AYCE now. I really love how they have service cards now (green/red sides) in case you need something or you are good! The price is cheap around $25/person. The broths still taste the same. The free ice cream at the end hit the spot. Taro or black sesame were the choices. Only cons were that the vegetables weren't washed. I attached a photo of our dirty bok choy!!! Our hotpot stove wasn't turned on and the server never noticed and tried to add our food in for us. We turned the burner on ourselves. Also, it took ages for them to refill our broth at one point even though we flipped the sign to red (need help), we could almost see the 2/3 of our ladle!

Yelp
I was in Philly for a Flyers game and decided to try this place out in Chinatown. I had never been to a hot pot restaurant before and was excited to give it a try. The beef tallow broth was exceptional but the bar of fixings for the pot seemed somewhat limited. Service was great and it felt like I was transported to asia. If you're in town, grab some friends and give this place a shot.

Yelp
Fantastic hot hot pot meat quality and excellent spicy broth. Clean buffet with many options. Great prices for lunch.

Yelp
I love their soup combination, meats, and mushroom veg choices. My body feels good after eating here.

Yelp
Visited today on a whim while I was downtown. Ended up trying the duo pot with the medium spicy on one side and pickled cabbage on the other. The pickled cabbage was by far the better tasting one to me. The servers we're all super friendly and very attentive. For meat I kept it simple and got 2 orders of fatty beef but when it came out I instantly regretted it only because it was SO much beef in the bowl and I was scared I couldn't finish it alone. Thankfully as I begin to eat my appetite didn't fail me and I was able to finish the 2 orders of fatty beef, some broccoli and one raw egg. I'd usually add cabbage to my pot but my pickled cabbage pot cake with plenty so that would've been redundant. I'd definitely go back with a friend to help me finish the massive servings. Given their serving sizes if I were alone I'd only grab one order of meat and double veggies unless I was REALLY hungry.

Yelp
My top 3 favorite hot pot spot locations in Philly. (The other 2 being La Tao and K-Pot). Happy Lamb has hands down the best, most tender, most flavorful, most fatty lamb. Not sure where they get it from, but it's the best. The cold chicken appetizer that they started serving is crazy good for being a hot pot place. Sign up for their facebook/SMS notifications and get coupons all the time!

Yelp
Wow. Just wow. I may have a new favorite hot pot place. The soup base was amazing. Customer service was amazing. I also like the buffet style of getting your own food and free refillable drinks to go with your meal. Definitely worth the price! Just go.
google avatar

Angie L.

Yelp
it's 5/5 cause I did the BOGO promotion (through 06/30/22!) and dinner ended up costing only $19/pp after tax and tip (original dinner is $29.95/pp base price). get on fb and find this promo!! great service, great selection of veggies, meats, fishes, and tofu things. Had noodles too - but no fermented tofu in the sauce section. who cares because I ate an insane amount for basically $20 like others have mentioned ayce drinks are included. there didn't seem to be much wait even on a Friday around 6 pm although it was definitely full. idk if i would come back to pay full price for dinner even though broth is excellent because it is still hot pot and I can do it at home. maybe for lunch when it is cheaper. interesting is that it is some sort of treasure hunt to figure out the pricing of these meals lol like the menus don't have it unless i missed something.

Yelp
Little Sheep is amazing! I arrived at 5:30 pm on a Friday because that was the time Yelp said it opened. There were other customers already seated so I have a feeling that it opened at 5. Regardless, we were able to get a table right away. I did notice that it got busier around 6 so, but it never seemed like there was a long wait. We ordered the half house half spicy broth (the spicy broth is just the regular broth with chili oil and chilis). They charge you per person for the broth, but the waiters and waitresses comes around with additional broth pretty often. The menu prices are pretty decent. Our bill was $55 for two people, but we also ordered wayyy more than we should have. Little Sheep also recently started selling ice cream for $3 a cup. One cup is definitely enough for two people, especially after you've just stuffed your face with hot pot. The day I visited, they only had Taro and Black Sesame. I tried the Black Sesame and was very surprised by how much I liked it. One of the waiters swung by our table as we were leaving to ask how we liked it and told us that they will have more flavors in the future. What stood out to me the most about Little Sheep was how polite, attentive, and helpful the entire wait staff was. We didn't have a single waiter or waitress, but instead the entire staff attended to us throughout the night as they saw we needed assistance. The restaurant is also very clean and well run. I love that it is perfect for both small and large groups. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
The variety of meats, seafoods and vegetables was impressive. Both sauces were good. But most were leaning towards the white one, (the red one is hot). And I was particularly impressed with the flavor of it. Staff was spot on. They were hospitable 2.0. Just referred someone today. I'm planning on going again very soon. 1-10, I give them a 20!

Yelp
Situated in Chinatown, Little Sheep (Xiao Fei Yang) is a great hot pot spot. I came here with a friend on a Saturday evening, and we were seated immediately. The servers speak both Chinese and English, so all are welcome. We were pleasantly surprised by the quantity of food that came with each order. The combo meat was definitely the best bang for the buck - $10 for a large tray of two meats (beef and lamb). Other cuts were also delicious, although the pork belly was a little bit on the fatter side for my taste. We also got the veggie platter and udon noodles, which complimented the meat well. I recommend getting the Yin Yang pot (half spicy half mild) for newcomers. They have some exotic flavors for soup, which I would try at another point. To top the meal off, they served us a small portion of dessert ice cream! My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the sauce station. It had most of the basics - garlic sauce, sesame, etc. But overall, it was small and lacked variety. The line could build up as well, which was annoying when you just finished making plenty of meat. If they added another station with more variety, it'd be great. Overall, it was a great experience, but I would rather go to another hot pot spot with more sauce variety.

Yelp
It was just okay, many new changes in their menu. Tasted better before. It took a while for the soup broth to be brought out as well, felt like they forgot about it. Quality of items went down a bit.

Yelp
Good price! Reasonable food! Want to go back next time. This place do not have alcohols and you might be able to bring your own bottles.

Yelp
I have been here at least three times in the past two months and I cannot seem to get enough!!! Especially great for large parties who are not afraid to eat from the same pot or share food. They are famous for their soup base. I always order the half spicy/half original for variety of flavors. The soup is herbal, milky, and SCRUMPTIOUS! I have never had anything quite like it, as far as depth and development of flavors. They have a wide range of options to cook and eat with your soup, it really depends on your personal preferences. I love their shrimp paste, fish balls filled with roe, and their lamb options are quite good. I always have to order some vegetables, and either rice or noodles to balance out all the flavors. Although the entire meal can be pretty pricey depending on what and how much you order, it is a great option instead of preparing everything at home. A plus, staff is also nice and attentive.

Yelp
Such a good place for AYCE hotpot for a great price! As someone who doesn't eat meat (pescatarian), I still found this place super worth the price. I especially love the selection of teas as part of the meal. One cool thing they offer is a free meal (as long as you're with 2 other guests) on your birthday.

Yelp
Excellent food, excellent value. Loved the food and would definitely return (already planning it). Hot pot is about variety, making it hard to order ala Carte for one person or even two. Some all you can eat places are simply horrible in terms is quality. This joint certainly hits the mark and would be a good option to enjoy with friends and family.

Yelp
Came here on a pretty cold/windy day in Philly because hot pot and cold weather just makes sense. Happy Lamb was once known as Little Sheep, and everytime I would come to Chinatown I would always pass it. So first off, this place is AYCE (big bonus points there). There's a menu of different meats to choose from (beef, lamb, pork, etc), then a whole buffet of vegetables, seafood, noodles, fishballs, tofu etc. There's also a little bar for you to make your own sauces. And unlike any other AYCE place I've been too, they have drinks!! (lychee green tea, mango green tea, peach green tea, taro milk tea, and even a hot chocolate bar). Definitely cool. We ordered the half spicy, have bone broth. Both were very flavorful. We were nervous about the spicy because we figured it might be too spicy for us to handle, but surprisingly it was a nice, warming spice, that was tolerable. But if you're looking for more spicy be warned! The meat selection felt pretty high quality, our favorite was the beef, it had a good ration of meat:fat. The lamb and pork were more on the leaner side. Overall we really enjoyed this place, for the price, you really get your money's worth, and everything was super satisfying and yummy. If you're up for some good hot pot, then I would definitely check this place out!

Yelp
I have been consistently going to happy lamb every time I need a hot pot fix and service has always been amazing. There is plenty of seating and drinks and sauce bar are included with the all you can eat! It is a good time to go now since they have their watermelon juice back and it's a refreshing combination with the savory meats you'll be indulging in.

Yelp
Hot pot buffet used to be Little sheep then got changed to Happy Lamb then new management so I've been here for years and watched it change their style several times. We got the premium menu, which includes higher ends cuts spring lamb, ox tongue, beef shoulder, and the shrimp/cuttlefish paste. Honestly the only thing I would say get 100% is the fatty beef and their homemade paste those are fantastic. I like their broth it's legit and salty/tasty enough you really don't need much or any dip although I did make my own(doesn't feel like a hot pot without a little dip). It's nice they give you instructions for making hot pot dip. Also it's good they changed the format so you can pretty much get all the veggies/noodles/food in the bar and only need to ask waiters for the premium meats. The bar section includes a whole noodle section as well as an appetizer section(which didn't look very appetizing especially the dry looking fried rice). Hot pot though was good and I especially like their drink selection the free Thai/taro milk teas and other speciality teas were awesome! Unfortunately dessert was just some BJs cookies(literally saw them take a box of package cookies and leave it there). Price wise it's like $28-$29 for non premium cuts and $36 for premium weekend price. I enjoyed it and would come back during a birthday for a free meal but I think they should improve on their dessert and appetizer sections. In comparison if you ever go to KPot it's cheaper, their hot pot spread is bigger, fresher, awesome sago dessert and even japchae appetizer is great so I can't recommend this over KPot which is still the best. I think if Happy Lamb has a speciality ice cream machine(matcha/taro), gets some real legit appetizers, and improves their hot pot selection/quality then definitely there's a chance for a 5 star. Overall good place would recommend 100% if you're in Chinatown looking for hot pot buffet.

Yelp
We walked in with a party of 5 on a Thursday night during the holiday season. There was no wait time! Although I'm happy that this restaurant offers a Yelp waitlist which is very convenient. We were seated at a table with one communal hot pot. I'm not sure if this place even offers individual hot pots so keep that in mind. You choose your broth (there's a selection of spicy & non spicy, nothing too fancy like tom yum or kimchi, it's just simple marrow, tomato & cabbage) and a few select meat items from the waiter. The waiter will tell you if the restaurant is out of certain meats on the menu, which was the case when we came. The remainder of the items (veggies, rice, noodles, other meats & seafood) are available from a buffet spread near the front of the restaurant. The buffet area also offers a make-your-own dipping sauce bar, self serve beverages (milk tea, iced fruit tea) and very limited desserts (there were a few cookies left when I looked). The food here appears very fresh with a standard but ample selection in the buffet area. I wouldn't call this a premium hot pot, but if you're a casual fan of hot pot then Happy Lamb hits the spot. And the price can't be beat - there was some kind of promotion when we went during Dec 2022, so the price was only $26 pp! It's been years since I've seen hot pot that cheap in this country so I'm super impressed. I think this was a great experience especially with the buffet setup making it easy for me to get the perfect quantity of refills without having to flag down a waiter and select on tablet or paper.

Yelp
Happy Lamb is definitely one of the better hot pot places in Philly. Simply because it has one of the best tasting broth. Most all you can eat hot pot places in the city have very bland broth. I always ended up having to flavor them. I've been here twice since they opened up recently. My only issue is the lack of mushrooms variety. There seems to be only one kind everytime. If you're in Chinatown, give them a try.

Yelp
Love love loved Happy Lamb Hot Pot. We came here on a Sunday afternoon ~12:45 PM, and were seated immediately (2 people). We got the split broths (so good!). Meat is quality, as is seafood. The chili oil for their sauce is fire. Would come again and recommend highly

Yelp
Vibes: trendy and clean Noteworthy: -milky broth is richly umami with an interesting, kind of seafood-y aftertaste, and lots of garlic cloves -spicy broth is loaded with chili peppers and white cardamom pods -definitely recommend the fish balls with roe for texture and flavor -also appetizer dishes and dessert on the menu Pluses: -hot tea and water at the front desk -great variety of good quality ingredients, especially lamb and beef -attentive and friendly service in terms of bringing food, removing dishes, refilling water and broth Will be back for: the weekday lunch special!

Yelp
This place is fire. The broth is so delicious and the all you can eat bar has so many fresh veggies and some seafood. Meat is superb. Fast service and they also offer different sweetened teas you can also drink as a part of the AYCE.
