"Happy Lemon’s bright yellow shopfront stands out on the heavily saturated Newport Court, and has enough flavour combinations to make anyone’s head spin. But despite the citrussy name, we’re more into the milk teas here. Especially the milk tea with Oreo cookies and cream. It’s a light, creamy milk tea with a subtle roasted flavour that pairs well with the sweetness of the cookies and cream. We recommend taking away your drink as it’s pretty small and dark inside." - Rianne Shlebak

Google
One of the few tea shops where you can actually taste the tea. Every time I went to the Bay Area, a stop by Happy Lemon was a must. Glad to have them nearby. The Jasmine tea has a nice floral after taste and the matcha has nice earthy and tartness. This specific shop is very very accessible near by Hwy 75. My favorite orders are A1 when looking for something refreshing and light or A7 when wanting g something full bodied. Both with 50% sweetness and 25% - 50% ice, depending on the weather.

Google

Google
First time here, and the place was bright and clean. The service was friendly and quick. We ordered milk tea with puff cream, strawberry green tea with salted cream, and the roasted Okinawa with boba. We adjusted for sweet and ice levels. We all loved our drinks! They were fresh & had perfect sweet level. My favorite is the roasted Okinawa with boba though.

Google
Used to be a great spot! Service has tanked, recently. They kids there messed up my order and refused to make a new one, even though the sticker on the drain cup showed their error. Used to frequent this spot but really just can't after that experience. Lost a weekly group of 6-10 people because they don't really care. Goofy group of people here....

This used to be my got to boba store in Seattle, but after coming to texas, I could not find anything nearby. I was excited to hear one was opening up in Plano. This is closer ❤️❤️ I ordered the strawberry shortcake, which is my all-time favorite must-try. The bubble waffles taste fantastic. The ambiance was unique and cute. The service was super friendly and quick.

Google
3.7 stars. 1st time to visit. Service is speedy and friendly. Drink options are numerous and varied. Flavor, however, was bland. Portion size for price charged was okay. Clean interior and well decorated. Tables outside too for warmer days. A few tweaks to their flavors and this should then be a solid 4.0 stars.

Google
This is my 3rd time at a Happy Lemon, and it leaves the wrong sour taste in my mouth. Mango Lemon Slushy is actually a watery slushy with uneven ice and extremely bitter ( not the good tart) juice. Boba was cheap at 50 cents but it was not great, bland, a little too al dente. Matcha Waffle was okay, slightly undercooked inside but I really like the Taro Puff dipping sauce. Its a nice creamy cheese like taste that would be fantastic with a moist dessert. Jasmine green Milk Tea was meh, tea was there, everything else was lacking. A sad lemon, can not go back.

Google
Happy to see another Happy Lemon location open up! You might think that Happy Lemon would be a lemonade shop based off the name alone, but it's actually a bubble tea chain. However, what differentiates them from other chains is their drink variety (most notably, their salted cheese foams and lemon specialities) I went during the grand opening. As expected, the wait was rather long, but the drink quality was just as good as I remember from the Richardson location. My thoughts on the drinks I tried: (100% sweetness, no adjustments) -Dragon Fruit Lemon Slushy: great refresher for the hot Texas weather. It has a nice consistency with just the right amount of lemon tartness. -Ube Milk Tea w/ Taro Puff & taro balls: SO good. My sister who didn't know what Ube was said the drink reminded her of cookies and cream. The Taro puff tastes like the puff cream that goes with the bubble waffles -Fresh Passion Fruit Mango Green Tea: good flavor, not to sweet, wasn't a fan of the fruit seeds inside though. -Mango Matcha Smoothie: nice consistency; mango and matcha flavor complemented each other well! No grainy-ness from the matcha As for the interior, the Plano location isn't as spacious as the Richardson location, but it still has the signature yellow with the Happy lemon mascot across the store :)

Yelp
Literally the best bubble waffle I've ever had. They make it perfect here. Crispy and always fully cooked, never soggy. Also, it pairs amazingly well with the cream puff. It's a bad addiction and my kids love it. The waffles alone would be a 5 star but haven't found a drink I love. The passion fruit is good but even half sweet, it was super sweet. I'm a milk tea girl, and I tried the Okinawa roasted milk tea. Still wasn't wowed but will be coming back to try to find a drink I love.

Yelp
I don't come across Happy Lemon often, so when I spotted one near me, I knew I had to check it out. I'm not a fan of lemonade--I've never liked it. But since my friends love lemonade, I thought I'd bring them here to try it out. I ended up ordering the Lemon Mango Slush, and honestly, it was really good. It's the only lemonade I would ever drink, and I'd even get it on my own. If you're a lemonade fan (or maybe even if you're not), I definitely recommend Happy Lemon.

Yelp
Happy lemon base from California opened up in Plano, so I tried it. It was ok. I personally still like the one in California better!

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised to see tiramisu and cheese foam on the menu here. These are uncommon at least in the places i usually haunt in Frisco. There used to be a boba shop nearby that had an awesome mango green tea with cheese foam that fell victim to the pandemic. So i was really excited to try their rendition here. They have green tea with the cheese foam but were kind enough to substitute the boba in their mango green tea drink with the foam for me. And boy let me tell you it was pretty good. Lots of good memories came back :) My significantly better half got the tiramisu foam which is actually quite sweet despite being salted but the oreo drink that it accompanies is not that sweet so it sort of balanced out after a few sips. I wish they were closer. I would come here again for the mango green tea with the foam. I would recommend trying it. It's a good blend of tart and sweet. Finally, the shop itself is sleek. Decent amount of seating, wifi plus games. It's nice and bright and their prices are reasonable. The staff was really nice. This place is a winner!

Kelly S.

Yelp
Super cute boba shop! I love how everything is customizable. Cute shop to hang out in. They even have games you can check out! The servers were very helpful and friendly. I got the passionfruit green tea boba with chocolate bubble waffle and they were super tasty!! I got my boba 75% sweet with 75% ice. At first i thought it was too sweet but then i realized it needed a good stir and then it was great. 50% would probably be good too. I don't know how anyone could do 100% sweetness on those. Will def come back if I'm in the neighborhood!

Julie K.

Yelp
Real fruit, real refreshing!! S1: lemon, passion fruit mango, green tea. There are real passion fruit seeds I got 50% sweet regular ice w lychee jelly G5: strawberry green tea. There are strawberry bits Tried 75% sweet regular ice w lychee jelly Oreo puffy waffle made fresh $1 add a dip, I got puffy dip taste like cream puff Clean place and right off Parker

Yelp
I was super excited about this location opening in the DFW area, because the Richardson one is always a little too far to drive. However, the first-time visit here fell flat. This location has ample parking, and looks similar inside. The staff seems super young, and like they still might be in training. It was not super organized and efficient inside, especially since it took a while for us to finally get our 1 drink (whole lemon honey tea, no toppings), and the egg matcha egg waffle with ube cream. The waffle was a little too hard and crispy on the outside, which was not my experience at the other location. I think it was overcooked a tad bit. The other location, the waffle is a good mix of chewy and warm. This was more hard, dry, and crunchy. The ube cream was good, mild and not too sweet. However, since the service was slow getting our order, I think I might prefer the further way location at Richardson since that store is more efficient, better quality, and fast.

Holly N.

Yelp
The staff here is amazing. I will forever be a fan of this happy lemon because not only do all the drinks taste better but the staff is also top notch. I came here the other day with a friend and we were having heart to heart conversation. The conversation was really deep and I was very emotional and clearly distressed. Brian, an employee, was so kind to offer a bubble egg waffle and said "idk whatever it is that you're going through, I hope that this will make your day better!" There are kind people out there. I couldn't believe it what had just happened but it did. I'm always going to support this business! If you're hesitant about getting a dipping sauce for the bubble egg waffle, stop! Just get the dipping sauce. It is soooo addictive. Also, the ambiance here is just too darn cute! I love the collective figurines they have.

Yelp
Adorable place with good boba. I love spots where you can control the amount of sugar and this is one of them. Staff is so nice. Lots of options. Great place.

Joy M.

Yelp
So happy that happy lemon is closer to me now! Hopefully they do well at this location. The staff here is really friendly and they seem happy to see you. My go to drink is the passion fruit tea with crystal boba. My kids like their Mango Slushy with mango boba.

Erin L.

Yelp
Must go back! Fun yummy drink selection and we really enjoyed ours. Tried something brand new.

Elaine M.

Yelp
We could not be more ecstatic about the new location in Plano. We made the trek to Richardson several times because we love Happy Lemon so much! This time I got the Okinawa Fresh Milk with boba at 50% sugar and substitute for Soy Milk. Believe it or not, it was caffeine free! My daughter got the kumquat green tea with lychee jelly at 50% sugar. She loved it! We also got the bubble waffle with red bean without any dipping sauce. The amazing thing is that the red bean is in the batter of the waffle. We had to wait a few minutes for the waffle to be freshly made. It came out hot and was soo delicious, gone in seconds.

Yelp
I love seeing boba chains open up in my hometown. Happy Lemon is one of my favorite chains of all time, and they're consistent no matter what location you go to. Get the mango matcha and bubble waffle with red bean! I also really like their fruity drinks as well.

Yelp
Will not be returning. Rude management and sub par drinks. Need to improve on food, customer service, and cleanliness.

Zoe L.

Yelp
So happy it opens in Plano!! Happy lemon is one of my favorite boba tea places! But sadly, this place offers less boba than other places... The service needs to be improve as well. The older employee was in a rush, even though there was no customers other than me in the store. Hope the employee can be more professional! The good side :-) I love their D5 Boba tea with puff cream! It tastes creamy and super good!

Helenna L.

Yelp
Friendly staffs, knowledgeable and can give you a good recommends if this is your first times. They had a lot of options for drink and snack. I tried both at Richardson and Plano. They all had well-trained staffs, with great customer services. They had Uno,.. some board games but you need Deposit your ID to borrow the game which I think it make sense. Quick service also. Recommended

Yelp
So happy there are 2 locations near me!! If you don't what it is, it's not only a lemonade place, but it serves great milk tea and boba too! There's a good amount of parking in front since it's located in a shopping center, and the interior looks clean and cute! I've been to the one in Richardson before, and both are pretty similar in decor. I'm always a fan of their classic milk tea with boba, but recently i've gotten into the salted cheese foam teas (what they're famous for as well)! The cheese foam is such an enhancement to the tea! My new favorite is the salted cheese foam with green tea! I did also try one of the bubble waffles, and to be honest it wasn't my favorite since I've had better. The waffles were a little dry and too crunchy. However, the teas make it worth it to come back! It's on one of my regular boba shop rotations :)

David L.

Yelp
Found this place after eating some Szechuan nearby. + Lemon drinks were alright. + Taro milk tea was good. Very fresh. + Bubble waffles were alright.

Nathan K.

Yelp
Oh my god- It can be difficult to discern between the influx of boba chains, but this was the first time I found one truly above the rest. The Okinawa Milk Tea- close to a brown sugar milk tea, it's a perfect ratio of tea to milk and sweetness. The Fresh squeezed lemon black tea- If you've ever had the Vita lemon tea boxes, imagine that but fresh and not overbearingly sweet. Incredible. The bubble waffle- The closest I've had to the Hong Kong streetside ones in the states- Crisp shell with a chewy inside. I can see a lot of my money disappearing here.

Laura L.

Yelp
Friendly staff, vibrant ambience, and delicious waffles! Freshly squeezed/blended lemons and good tea :)

Anthony B.

Yelp
Drinks, good. Bubble waffle, good. Service, good. First time trying this place out- plenty of drink choices and flavors and they all look tasty. I honestly came to try the bubble waffle and it didn't disappoint- came out nice and warm, perfect for a chilly day. Got some taro whipped creme to go with it, the taro flavor was a bit mild, but it still went really well with the waffle. Will be back to try more stuff!

Steve S.

Yelp
Came in on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. I ordered one of their salted cheese foams and imo the foam was just right with a good balance of sweet and salty. The tea itself came out exactly how I wanted it and I'm glad they have the option to customize your drink. The tables were clean and the decor was simple, but nice.

Tanya D.

Yelp
Drinks here were delicious! We got the freshly squeezed honey lemon green tea and the green tea with salted cheese. The store is small and cute. There's seating inside and outside. The drinks also came out fast which was good!

Daisy F.

Yelp
I love boba but this place was kinda of a no he had asked me if wanted things in it I said no I'm good and he did the opposite and but everything in I personally won't come back didn't like and left it all

Felicia B.

Yelp
I love stopping by at this place but it feels like in the middle of nowhere. I wish they have more shops ie in the mall and other strips. Their basic milk tea gets me every time. It's dark enough and not too sweet. Perfect! Service is fast and kind. I also tried the mochinut and it did not disappoint although it looks basic and somewhat pricey.

Fiona S.

Yelp
This is a cool creative place. I'm not use to eating a waffle without syrup . I just got some cream on the side . I'll go back to try other flavors:)

Gian B.

Yelp
It brings back memories every time i see a happy lemon, when i was in the philippines this was very popular milk tea place. Im glad there was one nearby. I changed my favorite to mango matcha now tho.

Hyun P.

Yelp
It was my first time trying Happy Lemon. The drinks we got (Oreo milk tea, kumquat green tea with lychee jelly) were okay, I will probably try the lemon ones next time. Really like the bubble waffle, chewy and soft. This location has easy parking and clean restroom.

Angela B.

Yelp
Tried this franchise for the very first time and honestly it was pretty good. Their salted cheese was delicious and different (my daughter didn't care for it) but I thought it was great. The smoothies very refreshing and the drinks are not as sweet as some other places. You can almost get away without adjusting the sweetness level. The waffles was crispy on the outside and the very satisfying chewiness on the inside. Need to go back and try their milk teas.

Chen E.

Yelp
It's a great place to stay. The restroom is cleaned and the drinks are good (only for Milk tea)

Rebecca H.

Yelp
Everything we've had there is great but the stand out is the bubble waffle filled with BOBA. I think it's the only place in DFW where I've seen it. So so good!! Really nice staff: my son dropped a waffle as a second after he got it and they made a fresh one for us for free.

Dora T.

Yelp
CHEATING promotion!! The promotion for a complimentary boba tea by downloading the store's app feels like a deceitful trick. It's a complete waste of time and leaves you feeling frustrated. Despite making three separate trips to the store, I was asked by the associates to verify my reward via message or Gmail. This behavior is unprofessional and unfriendly, and it makes me question the purpose of having the app in the first place.

Dylan H.

Yelp
Drinks are amazing. Just needs a larger size. I have never left the parking lot of this place without finishing the drink in a few sips. The cups seem long, but with ice and boba, the amount of liquid is a very tiny amount to be honest. The drinks are outstanding and the employees are very nice. And the ambiance is rad. Definitely a cool spot to get drinks and chat with friends. Just wish there was a larger size.

Carter J.

Yelp
This boba shop was really good the food was just so good I loved it.the service was very amazing.and the ambiance was really quiet .

Jenny F.

Yelp
The bubble waffles were good. However, the dark brown sugar boba milk was just bland. Bobas were hard and chewy and tasteless. I would go back to get the waffles and skip the drinks

Anthony L.

Yelp
Great drinks. Great customer service. The place is clean and friendly. Really all around awesome. My favorite boba place

Ariana D.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time and it was great! The ube milk tea and the passion fruit green tea were delightful, and the waffles had the perfect amount of sweetness to them!

Linda R.

Yelp
Maybe I got the wrong item, but my Green Milk Tea at half sugar was not good. Hubby's Boba Milk Tea at half sugar was average and tasted sweeter than mine. It almost felt like the new trainee forgot to put sugar in the Green Milk Tea, as it was incredibly bitter. The boba pearls were soft, but there was no taste, and could have been soaked in a little bit of honey. The milk teas were not enough to take me away from my favorite boba spot.

Eunice D.

Yelp
Normally they are on it but tonight I was not happy! We ordered 2 of the bubble waffle! It wasn't a long wait but when we got it one was hot (fresh) and the other one was cold! So we took the cold one back and ask them for a hot one. So hot one means fresh , hot off the maker. These fools took the waffle and lay it on top of the maker to make it hot! My niece said no no no. So these fools put it in the waffle maker to make it hot! Unbelievable. So if y'all want your waffle fresh make sure you tell them fresh off the waffle maker or they will give you a cold one that has been sitting there.

Justin W.

Yelp
Best boba and bubble waffle in Dallas and Plano! Drinks are made well and waffle is crispy!

Gilbert H.

Yelp
Love their drinks and waffles. My go to order is the Taro Milk Tea and original bubble waffles with cream dip!
