Happy Medium

My first time going to an Art Café but it was quite an experience. We ordered from paint-your-pot menu and we got to pick the type of pot we wanted to decorate and were given different colored water paints and brushes to go crazy with it! Sure it's an expensive hobby but it was super fun 🤪 The painting itself is $28 and you have to pay to keep the pot (my mug was $32) so about $65 in total per person.

Went here with 2 friends and we did the paint-a-pot experience. We wanted to sit in the outdoor area but it was full by the time we got there. The inside space was still a nice vibe though. The experience was relaxing and therapeutic. I wish I had more time to work on my piece 😭 Definitely want to come back again and try the other art cafe experiences. I spent $52 for a small bowl

Really happy I stumbled upon this place! It's the perfect spot to hang out with a friend or take a date. Went on a Wednesday evening and the place was only maybe a third full, creating a nice mellow vibe. We chose the air dry clay experience and really enjoyed it... plus they give you a little take away box to safely get your creations where they need to go!

Beautiful place to unleash creativity! I did the paint a pot and my husband did the clay. We had a great time and the best part is knowing my pot will be curated and get even more beautiful!

Had been to happy medium Manhattan before, but today we went to the Greenpoint location for the first time and the staff was incredibly attentive and kind. They were always available and willing to help. The art café is always a great time and today was thanks to the staff! At some point my partner hurt her foot and they immediately jumped in to help. Thanks everyone! We’ll be back :) Highly recommend sitting and painting outside in their garden :)

It’s a very expensive experience that is completely self-directed, as in you have to ask them for supplies when you’re seated, ask if someone can staff the bar, ask for a sheet with instructions etc. Which would’ve been fine if then there wasn’t such a strict policy for pickup where after 4 weeks, your item is sent for storage and there’s no way of getting it without paying an additional $25 for shipping on top of it all? It would be one thing if they just said it’s been sent away fo be destroyed after 4 weeks, but to clearly admit that it’s easily accessible to be shipped for money but not to pickup is a weird choice.

Such a great addition to the neighborhood! Love that this experience feels like a restaurant but with art - perfect place for friends or a date! They also have canned/bottled drinks & packaged snacks for sale.
