Happy Rice @ Yunomori Onsen

The menu has adequate choices, reasonably price. The dishes served an elegant japanese minimalist presentation. I personally like the taste of the food. Subtlely seasoned, and the ingredients used feels kinda healthy and yet tasty at every bite. Staff here is very polite and helpful. I like the quiet atmosphere here. Its peaceful (except for the ignorance sound of the air conditioning in the background.), you can take your time to have your meal here and get some work done too. I'd recommend their bentos, it's a good deal. Or if you are not too hungry or feeling under the sun, you can mix and match a few of your favourite side dishes to suit your appetite.

A quiet relaxing place to meet up with friends to have tete-a-tete and enjoy some Japanese food (without unduly stressing your wallets). Located within the Yunomori onsen, the majority of its customer base appears to be the latter's guests, a good mix of locals and angmohs (as they are dressed in Japanese garb). Good easy accessibility to the place also.

I always come here for my meals after soaking in the onsen. Food variety used to be more but they have done some revamping to the menu, such as reducing the sushi options. Had the bara chirashi don this time and it comes with a raw egg on top. Sashimi is fresh and the portion is acceptable. Had the curry rice don previously and it was yummy too and also cute, with the rice shaped as a teddy bear. Edamame is also cooked well with salt. Most of the other food items I had previously such as ramen and salad are also delicious. Staff are friendly. Restaurant is small and cosy but may feel stuffy at times. I try to avoid the peak meal times in case it gets too crowded and difficult to secure a table. They provide iced water which is self-service. Onsen members get 10% off.

Yunomori Cafe is a cosy cafe that's located inside Yunomori Onsen. It gives us a very place to mingle after/before we go to the onsen. Once you order, you will be given a buzzer once your food is ready. Yunomori's menu is based on Japanese food. We had unagi rice, milk and eggs. The eggs is sweet and crispy. The unagi rice is warm and sweet as well. The milk is nourishing. The wooden furnitures gives a very authentic and classic look to the cafe. The paper umbrellas brings back memories of Japan I had. The payment for the food is done at the Yunomori Onsen counter before you leave. #ILoveYunomoriCafe

Milk is soooo good! Tried the original milk and melon milk. Feels refreshing after a soak in the onsen! Their strawberry cake was super light and fluffy too. They were having some 1 for 1 cake promotion so we got the chocolate cake/mousse, would say it’s a 7/10. Overall good spot to grab a small bite after the onsen soak!

Quiet and relaxing, with nice food and drinks options. The avocado milkshake was just right without being too sweet, and mentaiko fries were served perfectly cooked with a tender crisp. Even the mentaiko was slightly roasted at the top to release its aroma. The tonkatsu curry rice was a generous portion, hearty and delicious. 10/10 recommend.

The team at happy rice is always attentive and cheerful. Food come out quickly and well- presented. Very pleasant dining experience every visit.
