I got this for take out but the atmosphere when I was there was good. Went here with a few friends after a long week. It was alright. I mean if I were in the restaurant instead of take out I’m sure it would have been better. It seemed in between fresh in a restaurant and convenience store sushi. The nigiri was good, rolls were good, miso soup good. I’m a big fan of sushi and it was good. To be honest, pretty average but I think it’s really because I got it to go in a box and not fresh in the restaurant. My Beli gave it around a seven and a half which is accurate. Feel bad giving it lower because I was not in the restaurant. Great location.

Having lunch with rolls is very convenient and fun! The food is served very quick. Food is packed in to go boxes which so convenient! They have the interactive screen where you can draw your own fish and the fish shows on the screen. Super fun!! I had: 1. Unagi donburi 2. Roll combo: salmon avocado roll, lobster roll, yellowtail scallion roll 3. Karaage

Picked up two sushi boxes from Happy Tuna Grand Central and had the cutest picnic in Central Park! The presentation was gorgeous, even in takeout form, and everything tasted super fresh and flavorful. It was the perfect park lunch, easy to carry, light but satisfying, and so pretty in photos. Definitely recommend grabbing their sushi to-go for an outdoor date or solo chill time. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

I got there during the happy hour and greeted by a lovely host. The place is so cute with Halloween decor. Sushi was fresh and yummy. Def need to come back for the $4 draft beer!!! What a deal!!!

Great sushi spot, very close to Grand Central. I stopped by to pick up some of their onigiri. I bought 4 different kinds to try. They were very good and filling, great value. Service was helpful in explaining different options and accomodating dietary restrictions.

Happy Tuna at Grand Central is a total gem! I stopped by for a quick bite and was seriously impressed by the quality and freshness of the food. The sushi was absolutely delicious—super fresh fish, perfectly seasoned rice, and beautifully put together. I tried a couple of their signature rolls and they were bursting with flavor. You can really tell they care about the ingredients and presentation. The service was fast and friendly, which is especially great if you’re in a rush or grabbing lunch during a busy day. Even though it’s in such a bustling location, the place felt clean, organized, and welcoming. The staff was helpful and made some great recommendations too. Whether you’re a sushi lover or just looking for a fresh, satisfying meal near Grand Central, Happy Tuna is a fantastic choice. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

I stopped by Happy Tuna for a solo lunch since it was nearby and ended up getting the Nigiri Galore set for $39. It came with two pieces each of salmon, yellowtail, albacore, and shrimp nigiri, along with miso soup, edamame, three pieces of spicy tuna crispy rice, and a roll of your choice. I paid $1 for the spicy scallop roll. I love that that offer three sauce options, cause who doesn’t love spicy mayo?! The salmon nigiri was the standout—fresh and buttery, it practically melted in my mouth. The other nigiri pieces were ok. The crispy rice was solid too, with a nice crunch topped with jalapeños. Overall, the portion size was great and definitely filling. Totally worth it! The service was great, staff were attentive, checked in regularly, and kept my water filled. I’d definitely come back, especially to try their hand rolls next time.

The fist quality is decent. I liked the happy bite lunch box and find it to be the most comprehensive meal but the donburi is also filling with quite a bit of rice. I find the salmon of the salmon avocado roll to be chopped a little too fine. There is seating and typically not a long wait.
