Hara Sushi

My boyfriend and I love eating here. The sushi is always amazing! We love having a sushi restaurant that’s so close to home! The avocado bomb is delicious! There are too many rolls to name that we love!! The service is always great because the staff is so nice. :)

A different dining experience. Walking in the place is cozy and clean. The menu is located on the screen just to the left as you walk in. You order there and have a seat. There is no soda dispenser, so you have to grab a can out of the mini fridge. When your food is ready they call you come pick it up. The woman who works there is disabled so I'm guessing that's why they run it that way. The food was good. I would recommend trying it out.

Great Sushi for a very fair price! They have some unique sushi rolls I've never seen anywhere else which is cool! I dined in with my wife, kids and friend and the service was really good. Support your local small businesses!

This place reminds me of the teriyaki joint that I used to go to in LA. The salad dressing is amazing and the teriyaki sauce is really tasty too. Even though thier serving portions got a little bit smaller it's still worth visiting occasionally

This place is amazing. I’ve been going here since I was in middle school and I’m in college now. I get some every time I visit home. It’s really good, great price, they’re always fast, and they’re so so nice. I’ve never had any issues. All around a great place, I’m glad their dine in option is back open.

This restaurant has been a welcome addition to our town of Lake Elsinore since 2016. These days, they only do take out but I still enjoy their Las Vegas roll. I would recommend this place to anyone I know. The owners are incredibly nice people and they make everything to order.

The food is the best in town, it is always fresh and made to order. We had a few hand rolls and rolls all were tasty. The service was fast and accurate always. Restaurant was nice and cozy, music was also soft.

Unusually casual dining for sushi, the food was satisfactory. Food served on plastic plates that I've seen at the dollar store, styrofoam cups for drinks, and plastic to-go cups for soy sauce. Menu is 3 separate laminated pages. The food itself was average, it will satisfy a craving. The portion of fish on each sushi roll is very small. I don't think the soy sauces are changed until they are used completely. The soy bottle I used came out extremely syrupy and left bubbles that lasted for our entire meal. It didn't smell or taste right.

AMAZING service ! They are really kind and generous with their portions. I haven't been to this place much but it made me deeply regret passing by this place majority of my life. Will be coming again a lot more from now on! Thank you !!

The food was bomb! Definitely worth it if youre in Elsinore and don't feel like driving out of town for sushi

Stopped by here a couple months ago while in town meeting with a client. Service was very fast and everyone was extremely kind. On top of that, the food itself was the best sushi I've had in awhile. Will be coming back with friends and family.

First time trying this place and it's one of the best sushi spots I've tried. I'm a sushi fanatic so any sushi spot I see I go an try it out, this was definitely worth it. We tried the moon night roll, mango tuna roll, spicy tuna shrimp roll, avocado bomb, spicy tiger roll, popcorn lobster roll, baked scallop roll, and the crazy roll. ALL and i mean ALL were exceptional. It is a family business which is always a plus, always support the community Their timing was great with the sushi since sushi is a delicacy and art, every roll was beautifully presented and the prices were not bad considering what you get and how much of it. Definitely would prefer this than some cheap AYCE sushi, they have quality and great taste. Service was exceptional, their daughter (i believe) was so sweet taking our order, the owners (i believe) were very kind and always asking if we needed anything during our meal. Their spicy mayo and eel sauce is chefs kiss. Ambience though, the place is a vibe for sure. It's cute for family 1000%, took my dad here cause we both love sushi and I would love to bring my whole family here. It's also cute for a date night since it's quiet and the decor is beautiful. They are authentic and I am so happy to have come here. They have a customer for life

After coming to this place for years, I felt compelled to write a review. First came here in 2017 when we moved to town. The first few years of coming here were great. After Covid it seems like they closed their dining inside. Ok not a huge deal I guess.... most recently I put in an order on their website for a pickup. When I arrived about 30 mins later (5:05pm) they were closed? And their website says not taking orders... but $80 pending on my card... call and call no answer... I waited out front a good 20 mins and ended up leaving. I figured they had some sort of emergency and cancelled my order. I emailed them no response, just a weird interaction. I check my email and 10 mins after I got back home the order was magically ready. So I had to go back down there again to grab the food. Really annoying the food was sitting around while I was locked out front and calling the business with no answer on the phone. And honestly I know prices are going up everywhere but literally every time I order from this place which is every couple months, it's more expensive than the last time. And not just a little bit of an increase, it seems several dollars per item. Also the lady at the front isn't super friendly. Sad to say it but probably won't be coming here anymore.

We're excited to find sushi restaurant close to where we live but then against when we arrive to this restaurant the owner said it's Take out only and it doesn't say anywhere in the website that no dine in allowed

Kitchen fights, long wait & no more dine ins. And my poke bowl was full of iceberg lettuce & only flavored by sweet sauce. It was horrible. Just forced to eat it because I paid for it

If you want quality grade food, this place is a hidden gem. I got the dragon roll and the rainbow, and you could tell the fish was fresh, and it had no fishy odor, The service was alright for take-out, because I did not really expect much. It was kind of mildly annoying that they only offered take out, but not the end of the world. Not every place is the same, and should be treated the same. So yea, will definitely come back for sure.

Update- I been coming here lately. The service got better and this place actually became my spot to go for sushi! I tried the Jalapeño bombs, as appetizer, and it was bomb! I thought they would be super spicy but nope. I definitely recommend it!

Food is pretty pricey. But the ambiance was good. Very busy restaurant. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Food was good but I found the menu to be limited.

My review was removed because the owner wants to remove any negative ones and give you a false sense that this place is trash. So yo make my review more relevant. Sushi is old and gives you food poisoning. They do take out only so you're sushi rolls can sit and room temp for hours before you pick it up. The salmon is gross the tuna is gross. And the business model is horrible. Thanks for being scummy and trying to get your review removed.

It's been a couple years since I last ate here, but today I had the chance to visit again. This lovely restaurant is still amazing as ever! My absolute favorite is the Crunch roll with a side of miso soup. The staff has always been very kind, courteous, and excellent with their customer service. I look forward to dining here again.

We didn't stay to eat. We had a strange vibe walking in. The place is not very clean. No one greeted us. We stood inside the door for a minute, then suddenly a lady appeared and said a few words about ordering food from the QR code. We didn't fully understand her, so we asked again. She seemed frustrated. She then stated for us to use the QR code and order online. We told her we didn't want it to go, we wanted to eat in. She ushered us to the bar and told us to order online. We sat alone, no one was in the restaurant. I must admit it was like 3:30 pm on a Monday though. We wanted to order a special roll so we asked if they could do it. The lady appeared very confused, so a man came out and together they deciphered what we were asking for. This was a strange interaction for me, they didn't seem to understand us and we didn't really understand them. Finally, he explained it to her and then she asked us not order online that she would do it herself. As we sat, we just kept getting a strange feeling about eating here. I decided to open Yelp and after reading a few reviews, that strange feeling grew in intensity. We asked for drinks and the same lady gestured toward a refrigerator behind us. This was kind of the straw that broke the camels back. We got up and let them know we would not be eating there. The lady seemed surprised, but we left and went to Hana Sushi instead. We were so glad we did. We had a great experience there. The experience we were looking for. Honestly, just don't. Drive the few miles to Hana. It's updated, clean, the service is excellent and the sushi fresh. Update to the business owners reply below. Please note that they told us they would place our order after we wanted something different. We were not served any food, it was never delivered to us. Please customers read this, I think this will help you decide if you want to eat here.

I'm only giving 2 stars cause the sushi rolls were good but the nigiri we received was warm instead of cold when I picked it up and checked my order before leaving. Prices are just ok especially if you buy nigiri in 10pcs. The prices are higher than before COVID. I won't be going back and what I have found is 90% of sushi spots in lake Elsinore are not very good and very expensive. It's better to go to Temecula or even corona for sushi.

The sushi is pretty good, not the best I had, but pretty decent, unfortunately the service and attitude from the chef is terrible. Also I would say maybe in the last month or so they do not answer their line, so if you need an order you have to go in person. It is pretty fast once you order. I feel that perhaps they should hire and extra person that can help in the kitchen, Also be aware that even though they have the hours of business in the door, it can defer. I would of like to give them more stars but I felt so bad last time I had to go there, I don't think anyone should feel that way. Specially where there is no reason for it! If they don't want peoples business they should just close, or if it is too busy perhaps hire more people once again!

When I arrived the lady kept asking, "who,who?" It seemed like people usually place orders beforehand or use Door Dash but I said I wanted to place an order. It felt uncomfortable so I told her never mind and was going to leave. We got on each other's level and she told me there was a wait and asked what I wanted, which was just an avocado maki. When she realized I wanted to order there she took the order and the food was done in 2 minutes! A man that had been waiting before me scoffed when I got my order, but I'm sure they were cooking/baking his food and did mine easily in the downtime. The food was delicious and now I will order ahead to avoid confusion! I've read reviews about the customer service so I just wanted to point out this interaction and that it wasn't personal toward the customer.

LOVE the sushi at Hara. I've been going here for over a year now & always satisfied. The owners are always so kind too. I work close by & order online so my sushi is ready when I get there. The online ordering process is a breeze. I highly recommend the baked salmon roll - it is absolutely delicious! Give them a try, I promise you won't be disappointed.

On an RV outing at Lake Elsinore and decided to look for a nearby Japanese restaurant for sushi. Hara Sushi was under a mile away and had mostly good Yelp ratings. This was for lunch and they advertised that they opened at 11:30 am. I was there when they opened the door. I wasn't sure what sushi would be like in Elsinore but I love raw fish. First good sign was the couple working inside was likely man and wife who barely spoke English giving me the idea they immigrated here from Japan. That's a positive in my view when dealing with sushi. Anyhow I ordered a 9 piece chef's choice sashimi and a bowl of white rice. When it arrived in front of me the fish slices were large, perfectly cut and in a nice presentation on a bed of lettuce. There was ample ginger slices and enough wasabi for me to mixup the solution I like to dip the fish into. It was excellent sashimi and tasted fresh. Three hours later I am feeling fine (not sick like one Yelp reviewer posted). I would certainly eat there again. Only one other customer ate in while I as there although there were several takeout orders picked up. I would give 5 stars but they did not have unsweetened black tea. I had to grab a bottle of Arizona green tea out of a cooler. That's a very small complaint.

such a lovely place and the owners are always so kind as well. i usually place my order ahead of time and it's always done by the time i arrive but the wait is never long when i dine in. this is my go to spot and i feel like whenever i try a sushi place that's not here i regret it haha, the food is delicious and the portions are sooo worth it. i adore the ambiance as well, it's nice and quiet and very comforting. the best sushi place in town! seriously, nothing has beat it yet.

Worst sushi place I've ever had. The sushi tasted like it was from the grocery store and the Korean ramen was top ramen with a couple veggies sprinkled on top. Waste of money.

If you want to eat delicious sushi rolls at a reasonable price, this is the place to go. Korean chicken is also a new menu item and is delicious.

Very good sushi me and my fiancé have tried a lot of sushi rolls and there all good. This is my spot to go hands down in lake Elsinore. Whatever sushi you like this place will do it right can't go wrong fresh ingredients perfectly cooked rice and salmon baked to perfection must try it very good spot..

The portions were delicious, I got the Hawaiian roll and the Albacore Delight with 4 Avocado Bombs. I highly recommend this place if you want good quality Sushi.

This was our first time here and expected a regular sit down sushi restaurant. We came here for a sit down sushi dinner spent 74.00 to eat in a fast food environment. The server seemed like she didn't know what to do with eat in customers. She even seemed shocked to get a tip at the end. The food was mediocre quality. I think it might be okay for a take out, quick sushi fix. I did like that they have a couple no-rice option rolls. Other than that if you are expecting a quality sushi dinner experience don't come here spend your money at Nikko off Diamond. A take out quick fix you should be safe to try it.

After driving by this establishment for a year, my husband and I were hesitant to try it. However, after reading reviews and searching for a good sushi place in our area, we stopped by to have lunch. We ordered enough food to feed a small army and I just have to say... GO!!!! The Avocado Bombs are hands down what sushi lover dreams are about. We have since tried so many items and love all of them!!! Some of our favorites are THE MOON NIGHT ROLL, THE BAKED SALMON ROLL, THE SALMON TEMPURA ROLL, THE CRAZY ROLL, THE SEAWEED SALAD..... actually everything we have tried has has been great!!! As any great restaurant find, I was hesitant to write the review, as it is very much deserving, but it's such a hidden gem. I love the service and their attention to repeat customers. My husband and I love sushi, so writing a good review with our discerning palates is hard to come by. But, we have ordered from Hara almost every week since we first came. If you are looking for good sushi, look no further :)

I stopped in to order to go and was told they were too busy to take my order. Apparently they don't want/need my money, so I won't be back to bother them anymore.

Hubby and I ordered sushi from here for the first time. We actually never had sushi to go but we will definitely be ordering from here again. The sushi was so fresh and tasteful. They also packed everything up nice and made sure condiments and utensils were in the bag as well. Can't wait for them to open up for dine in so we can get the full experience.

Here's an honest review. At first, this place didn't look like what I hoped for so I was a bit skeptical. Aesthetically it can definitely be improved, a few things fixed, but it seemed to be clean. We were greated as soon as we entered and the friendly service only got better as we enjoyed our meal. I ordered the Jessica, Spicy Tuna Tempura, Sashimi and the Beef Yakisoba. All are highly recommended! The fish was fresh, and tasteful. The cuts were well made and they were generous. One thing I'm picky about is the Salmon... And this place served me fresh, thick, delicious pieces; Not too much rice. I'd like to see them work on the aesthetics of this place (hence, the missing star) because it has a lot of potential. Their food was great, and I will come back for sure. The people that say this place is expensive are cray-cray! Prices are great!

I only give this place 1 star because they messed up my husband's & I order & refused too replace our food made wrong! We even order meeting food orders!!!! Never again will our business or my husband & I order from this administration ever , ever, & I mean Ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love there baked salmon roll , it's to die for. There sushi is amazing and fresh and there prices are not bad at all. I have reordered from here a few times already since moving here a year ago. I definitely recommend this sushi restaurant.

Wow! Has this place gone downhill! I had a craving for sushi today so stopped in to Hara Sushi. First thing I noticed were the signs on the windows stating they no longer have dine-in and only serve takeout, second thing I noticed was how bad it smelled in there. Since I was starving I foolishly chose to ignore the stink and ordered two sushi rolls. They took forever to make my food. While I waited I sat in one of the empty booths and noticed how dirty the restaurant was. Just because you're not using the chairs and tables for dine-in service anymore does not mean you don't have to clean them. Every surface and counter had a layer of dust and the floor was filthy too. The whole place just looks old, run down, and dirty. It was so bad I looked on the window to see what their health department rating is and to my shock they have an A rating which seriously makes me question the validity of the rating system! The fish surrounding my Rainbow Roll was dry and tough and the California Tempura Roll was mediocre at best. Now I'm just praying I don't get sick from it. I will never go back!

Awesome fast casual spot for sushi in Lake Elsinore! My favorites are the Garlic Albacore roll and the Lemon Tree roll, which has salmon, cream cheese, and avocado on the inside with more salmon and thinly sliced lemon on the outside.

The food was literally disgusting and on top of that the woman who took our order was rude..she was on the phone the whole time we were trying to order but anyways we got 2 rolls for take out and the fish was WARM and just gross and the california rolls were also warm so i called and complained and she yelled at me and said they don't do refunds when i never asked for one to begin with i was just letting them know because unless it's a baked roll it shouldn't be warm?? anyways she was very unprofessional and told me they've never had any complaints and that people like their california rolls warm lol soo yeah just super bad experience all the way around

Sushi is always good. It is not amazing but good and the prices are very reasonable. Make sure you call because sometimes the mobile orders don't work. The wait is not long, though. The owner is really nice. I have been there a few times and I would go back.
