Amazing restaurant ! If you don’t mind slightly higher prices - it is a place not to be missed ! We are from Singapore and this place was recommended personally by a basque friend from San Sebastian. We arrived and ordered 5 dishes to share : Artichoke - 8/10 - great Leek with Spider crab - 9.5/10 out of this world Iberian pork with white mushroom - 10/10 This place charred the Iberian pork which takes it to the next level. I highly recommend this place to all Asian travellers . All travellers but say Asian cause they will love the taste. They changed the cutleries and plates after each meal . The best Iberian Pork I have ever had ! It is amazing The cons- the service / staff besides the owners needs more training . With more care to it s customers, this place deserves it s Michelin star back ! I highly recommend everyone to try !

We really wanted to like the place but half the dishes were not eadible. A full spoon of salt was sprinkled over the salad and the peppers, the steak was burnt and bitter. It’s a pitty as obe can tell that ingredients are good. When plates were collected still half full, no one bothered to ask what was going on. So disappointing. The atmosphere is nice, but thats’s not a consolation if food is so terribly off.

In a week of having meals at truly nice places across Madrid, this one truly stands out. What an experience..next level dishes, superb seasonal and local ingredients taken to a next level. Yet all in an elegant, homey, warm and welcoming environment. Must also say that warmth and care for our 3yr old son was unbelievable especially given he was the only kid at the time at the restaurant. Might seem pricey at first look but definitely worth it. Cannot wait to come back and am sure great stuff would be happening to this amazing restaurant!

Had a great birthday dinner here earlier this month. The onion tart and beef bourguignon were excellent—rich, flavorful, and well-prepared. I was obsessed with the marinated cucumbers that they bring to the table to start, zesty and bright, I would have ordered a big bowl of this if I could. Cozy ambiance and solid service made for a great experience.

Very MEDIOCRE and very overpriced. In Madrid, paying over 50€ a person almost guarantees you a spectacular meal (La Manduca, Taberna Laredo, etc) usually going above and beyond with service and the small, but nice details (a post dinner digestivo, olives with your wine while you await dinner, or even a small dessert). We paid 75€ each here for MEDIOCRE. The food was good-not sure the 42€ price point for solomillo was worth it but I wouldn’t complain. We were brought a small bowl of sliced cucumbers to savor on with the wine? Strange and pretty lame. The service was dismal-absolutely not worth a return. The waitress attending us had clearly never worked in fine dining as she failed to check in, refill our drinks when they were empty, frequently reached over us eating in attempts to clear the table, made a mess of the food on the table while trying to “wipe off.” Not to mention it took 30 mins to get our water and bottle of wine. First red flag should have been the 30€ a person fee if you don’t cancel in advance in the case of a no show. While I understand the idea of having a CC for a reservation to guarantee a restaurant isn’t stiffed at the last minute, even this price point is extremely high in comparison to the norm. Just felt like they cut serious corners to ever be considered fine dining in Madrid. For the price point in a city littered with spectacular places to eat and get great service for a much lower price point, this would not be a place worth returning to.

While the food was tasty, well executed with quality products; the restaurant is under-staffed with poor service which made the evening not as pleasant as it should have. Other incidents that will not be disclosed here cannot be accepted for an almost 200€ bill for 2 people. Will definitely not return.

I really wanted to like it more, but it felt below expectations. Some highlights are the onion Tarte Tatin (great) and the Tomato Salad (fantastic with some drizzle of white Modena Vinegar). The main dishes were far from great and lacking emotion, the same with the dessert. One of the lowest points for me is the boring and way too classic and safe wine list.

New Basque restaurant, with an atmosphere of modern Asador and focus on Iparralde cuisine (which would also be linked to the name of the lady who co-owns and names the place). In Oct 2023 it appears to be one of the “must” eateries in Madrid, and for lunch on a Saturday it is full of people, with thirty and fortysomethings predominating, maybe. Food is great, and for example Pimientos de Cristal con Torreznos or Sepia con Mojo de Ajo Fermentado are both amazing. Not to mention the Legumbre del dia (Lentejas con Perdiz) or some the individual dishes (like Pencas rellenas de Tartar de Atún or Boletus Achuletado). Beer is correct (a bit expensive at €5, but this is a premium place, after all). We were very happy there :-)
