"The owner-chef received classic French training and worked for a time in Japan. With this joint in the artsy enclave known as Snail Alley, he champions a unique take on "French-influenced Nippon cuisine". The single set menu changes once a month, with a choice of main from two or three options. Instead of red and white, the wine list features an array of sake from Kyushu, which the owner-chef finds matching his culinary style to a tee." - Michelin Inspector
A star in the Tainan restaurant panorama. Beautiful dishes presentation, everything is cured maniacally and the hard work pays off, it's really a pleasure to have them in front of you. The dishes are not too complicated, but still very good. The tastes are all well balanced. Overall it's an experience you will not regret. I suggest to pair with a sake glad it selection, they've interesting options. Definitely a stop if you're in Tainan. Reservation is mandatory.

Amazing evening at Haropeko! Found this gem while walking through Snail Alley in Taipan. We were able to snag a last minute table via DM. The food quality and presentation were outstanding. The staff was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the interactions with the chef and staff. Highly recommend this delightful dining experience.
