HARAPEKO/Hara ペコ

The dining experience is special with the 3 Chefs working seamlessly, efficiently and artistically in front of the diners seated along the counter. I ordered lamb as my choice of main course and this is the first time I truly enjoy a lamb steak that is “just cooked”. I usually avoid eating meat that is “red”, be it beef or lamb. Kudos to the Chef for his source of lamb and culinary skills. A great experience and would like to return if ever I am back in Tainan again.

A star in the Tainan restaurant panorama. Beautiful dishes presentation, everything is cured maniacally and the hard work pays off, it's really a pleasure to have them in front of you. The dishes are not too complicated, but still very good. The tastes are all well balanced. Overall it's an experience you will not regret. I suggest to pair with a sake glad it selection, they've interesting options. Definitely a stop if you're in Tainan. Reservation is mandatory.

Amazing evening at Haropeko! Found this gem while walking through Snail Alley in Taipan. We were able to snag a last minute table via DM. The food quality and presentation were outstanding. The staff was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the interactions with the chef and staff. Highly recommend this delightful dining experience.

Bar time, Japanese cocktails highball and quiche, This is really amazing!!Chef is very nice, and everything is great. A really cozy and intimate place.

The service attitude was extremely poor. The food was very average and nowhere near worth the price. Strongly not recommended!

這裡給了我不一樣的用餐體驗，和陌生人同時間用同一道菜有飲宴🥂的即視感：餐點同上桌，主廚一次講；不同飲宴的是即場烹調和擺盤。我在「立冬」時段用餐，首次渴澄清湯，濃郁到極點。鮮魚🐟用立鱗燒的做法深得我心，鱗片酥脆而魚肉綿嫩，吃完馬上把自己的欣賞告訴主廚，主廚回應魚肉有刻意煮到半熟狀態，妙！主菜刻意選黑豚🐖，只因是在地選材，平埔黑豚肉真的如主廚所說毫無豬肉有的騷腥味，烹調方法留下了香鮮，儘管油脂在其中也不易膩。燉飯中有菱角也是出乎意料，一直細細品嚐，肯定不是淮山、牛蒡，也不是馬鈴薯，最後只想起像個中秋節會吃的東西，只能問主廚了。 用餐過程中有跟主廚聊聊，得知主廚會親自到菜市場買食材就覺得親切。慶幸能在旅行中找到一家把在地食材拼砌出美好料理的餐廳，總會驚嘆不同食材竟能如此搭配，期待下一時節再訪。
