The 13 Best Coffee Shops In Nashville - Nashville - The Infatuation

"The Yemeni coffee at Haraz is really good, especially if you go with the robust Harazi Mufawar with cardamom and cream. But the real reason we’re here is the mosaic cake. These black and white tile-looking triangles are rich without being too sweet, solid without being dry, and have chocolate crackly bits on the edges for a surprising and enjoyable dose of texture. There’s also the Bee Bites, cream cheese-filled savory bread toasted and drizzled with honey that’s perfect next to any cup of coffee. The inside is full of tables for two spaced closely together, but there’s more room on the patio out front. They’ll even heat your kid’s hot chocolate to “toddler temperature” so they can drink it sooner." - ann walczak

Great place for studying/working. Great lighting and quiet environment. Nice variety of drinks and pastries to choose from. I ordered a caramel frappe and a slice of Biscoff cheesecake. The frappe wasn’t overly sweet and you could still taste the coffee. The cheesecake was delicious, I’d just recommend letting it thaw a little before digging in.

If I could give the bee bites a 10/5, I would! Absolutely incredible pastry. A visit to this coffee shop isn't complete without it. Beautiful branding and decor. Clean, attractive shop. Lots of great looking pastry options. I wish we had tried something else. We weren't overly impressed with our drinks, though. I got a shaken brown sugar oat latte. The milk to coffee ratio was off, and it didn't taste like much other than straight coffee. I don't generally do much sweetener in my drinks anyway, but this one didn't seem to have any. Parking isn't ideal. It's a paid lot. The first hour is free for new users. I'm not sure if that's a repeat offer or first time only. Staff were having loud conversations and unprofessional banter while multiple customers were in the store.

Google
I LOVE THIS COFFEE SHOP!!! All of the pastries are incredible! The coffee, lattes, espresso...everything! The service is great, there's plenty of parking and the space is so beautifully furnished and comfortable!! The milk cake and banana nut and mango muffin... 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Google
My favorite dessert place in Nashville. The milk cakes (tres leches cake) are to die for!! And plus, they are open til late. But could really get noisy so I cannot work here. But always good for dessert time.

Google
This place was incredible the pastry and desert section was a lot different than most places out there a coffee selection was really good they do not offer drip coffee but they do offer French press and pour-overs and obviously the lattes and things like that. The atmosphere was really nice. The customer service was even better. They brought your order to you from behind the counter regardless of what it is. So just know when you go here, whatever the price point is. Just know that you are paying for an experience they even offer the Dubai chocolate that is trending right now for $10. I will definitely be back to try other things.

Love Love this new East Nashville gem!! Yemeni coffee in different flavors is mind blowing. Pistachio Latte is my fav. all their desserts and pastries are to die for! A tad bit pricey but all worth it for the exclusive mouth watering flavors they offer!! and I met so many of my fellow Bollywood enthusiasts here! love the staff and people, very sweet!

Google
A very comforting and inviting space with a luxurious vibe. Went on a random Monday evening and they still had a huge selection of parties and desserts. They serve the regular lattes and mochas as well as traditional Yemeni coffees. We tried the cold Haraz latte and pistachio latte. We also got the hot Haraz latte. They all tasted great but I think the Haraz latte tasted so much better hot. We could appreciate the spices and flavors. We also tried the saffron cake. It was the best thing I have had. Such subtle flavors and the hint of rose complemented it really well. If you like dulche leches, this is a level up. I also wanted to try the pistachio cake but they were out of it. We did get the banoffee cheesecake, very soft with a perfect crunch at the bottom. The bee bites were something very unique. I have never tried anything like that before. I was happy to try such a variety of desserts where you can distinctly taste different flavors without the sugar/sweetness being overpowering. Definitely give it a try if you haven't.

Google
One of the best matcha I ever had in my life, my wife makes it all the time and she was impressed about how good the quality was. Don’t even get me started on the Dubai chocolate bar. Out of this world!!! Can’t wait to come back.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this coffee shop because I wanted a matcha lattes and this was close to my hotel. Walked in and the decor is really nice with a display of pastries and cakes. I ordered the matcha latte with almond milk and oh wow it was really good. The haraz spices that they add to the drink gives the drink a warm note and makes you feel you are in fall season. The service was kind and helpful and made my drink quick and delicious! Recommend ordering the matcha latte you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Came here to try this place based off of social media, but I can't say I was a fan. The employees here were very friendly. The establishment in myself was clean and neat. Perfect place to get some studying and quiet time in. Went with the strawberry matcha, which wasn't a favorite. And I've been on quite a matcha kick lately. We also ordered some pastries that weren't the most appetizing. They tasted stale as if they had been in the display for a while.

Yelp
I've found my new favorite evening workplace. The vibes are chill yet community centered. The coffee is amazing and the pastries may be the best part! The baristas are always kind. Note: parking options are unclear. I need to dig further for free options.

Yelp
I have never been to a coffee shop with such a unique menu so I asked a lot of questions. I ended up ordering the iced adeni which has black tea, spices, cream and foam. Absolutely amazing and it very much tastes like a high end Taiwanese milk tea to me. I'm usually not affected by tea, but this was strong and the caffeine did keep me up at night. I did order my drink and consumed it at around 8pm though. Absolutely would come back to explore the rest of the menu. Casual. Parking in paid private lot. Indoor seating, but there is a wonderful outdoor seating area also. Please come and create your own adventure.

Yelp
I dropped by Haraz Coffee House on a cold, rainy day for a steaming cup of coffee, and it did not disappoint. The interiors feature a Mediterranean aesthetic, complete with Turkish tiles on the counter and intricate Arabian geometric patterns on the wooden walls. I noticed the traditional Yemeni-style couch as soon as I walked in, and they also offer outdoor seating. I ordered Hot Harazi coffee, and I must admit it was one of the most aromatic coffees I've ever sipped. The coffee was creamy, the cardamom was bold, and I enjoyed it. Although I acknowledge it isn't everyone's cup of (well) coffee. The service is very quick; they don't keep you waiting long. The café provides sufficient parking that can be validated. Yemeni coffee is unique for its blend of spice and coffee, and for someone who fancies Indian chai, the coffee at Haraz was truly a delight.

Yelp
Product looks great and coffee was delicious! We tried the Honey bites a week later and what a sublime taste! A perfect mix of honey and savory spices in a pastry!
google avatar

Dean A.

Yelp
Checked into the Russell close by and walked here to find a very clean and friendly community! The Mediterranean flair gave a sense of being in an international location even though we are only just east of downtown Nashville. I tried the honey and sweet cheese-kissed Bee Bites topped with sesame seeds and Amy had the Spinach Feta Croissant. The weather was too hot for coffee so we ordered the Blackberry Hibiscus Iced Tea and the Pink Coconut Refresher. Very tasty! A little on the pricey side but everything was fresh and generously portioned.
google avatar

Amita G.

Yelp
I wouldn't go back. Service was way toooo slow and only one person behind the counter. Coffee tasted good! It was crowded over the weekend
google avatar

Taylor R.

Yelp
Such a cool spot! Love that they are open later than most coffeeshops so this makes it great for studying late or working remotely. I got the manga dragonfruit refresher which was delicious and perfect in this hot weather! our drinks were made quickly and the staff was very polite. Definitely a spot to check out. I want to come back and get coffee if it's earlier in the day.

Yelp
I made a visit here after seeing the shop on Apple Maps. The parking is a paid lot but the first hour is free. Make sure you scan the QR code. The building is very nice and new. The interior decoration is nice. They have baked items and a wide variety of delicious drinks. I want to try them all. The staff are friendly and busy at work making drinks for everyone. Ample outdoor seating and comfortable indoor seating.

Yelp
Probably one of the best coffee shops in Nashville (: My favorite is the Haraz Coffee and the rose milk cake. The decor and service is a plus here!
google avatar

Marquetta D.

Yelp
It was a very beautiful cafe. The employees were fine. The pastry was good. I thought the coffee was just ok. My foodie friend also felt the same but she enjoyed her chocolate pastry.

Yelp
I've been to Haraz several times! Overall, would recommend but here are my thoughts: Pros: - staff friendly - free parking next to the shop (love considering so many places have paid parking these days) - The store is cute + open late (so refreshing for a coffee shop!) - desserts are PHENOMENAL -- I 1000% recommend the saffron cake! Cons: - service can vary (first time I went, my order was entirely skipped while the rest of my table's was ready, and had to remind them to get my drink. second time was flawless) - coffees/teas have had a thick, grainy texture especially near the end (as if it wasn't filtered from the grinds properly)

Yelp
My group popped in for a quick coffee and had a very inconsistent experience. The decor was very classy and most of what we ordered was good, but leaky lids and service mistakes hurt the experience. Food: Let's start with the good. The salty caramel latte, matcha latte, Haraz latte and mocha were very flavorful and pleasant. The Bischoff Milk cake was a delight and the spinach pastry was nice and flaky. This is where things get confusing, I ordered the Maleki Coffee and I received a well-spice drink that was missing cream and coffee flavor. Please correct me if my expectations were wrong but I think they messed up my drink. Service: The workers were all very nice but they seemed inexperienced because they accidentally made an extra drink and forgot to give us a pastry before moving on to other orders. Additionally, half of our to-go lids with ill-fitting leading to me burning my hand almost immediately and matcha spilling every sip. Atmosphere: The energy is vibrant and classy but it got so packed with people working at tables and the transient traffic it isn't the most relaxing environment.

Yelp
Awesome cozy coffee shop. So many different variations of drinks. Plenty of things to try in future visits. The cold brew was strong and tasty, with a savory spice blend. Baklava is my weakness and this lived up to my hopes. The piece is generously sized and very scrumptious. Highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Alan B.

Yelp
Went here after dinner. The Haraz Latte was really good! I substitute milk with oat milk. Their baklava was "meh", but their other deserts were very good. Nice cozy atmosphere at this place and everywhere was a nice sight to see. They had outside seats with warmers if you were interested in that. I seen people on their laptops, so I'll assume there was wifi. I'd definitely come back and try their more traditional style drinks! Great addition to the area! And yes everything is Halal.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place sooo much because it smelled so good when you walked in, but I sadly did not love it. I got the Adeni drink over ice and it was very watery and not steeped long enough. Other people in my group got an iced coffee which was also not good. Very watery again. Nothing here was strong, or even normal. It also took very long to have these drinks made. Thankfully, the pastries we ordered made up for it. They were all delicious and decent size. A little expensive but typical. I would not come back here, overall.

Yelp
Unique, supremely tasty, and peak old school coffee shop vibes, I am so thankful to have Haraz in the neighborhood after many months of eagerly awaiting its arrival. Specializing in Yemeni coffee, this is not your average coffee shop. Extremely high quality beans and ingredients, super unique spices and flavors, and a wide range of drink options - this is a coffee lover's haven. Yemeni coffee is widely known to have incredibly rich flavor, but I was personally most impressed by the spices. I got the Haraz Latte, based on the recommendation of the guy at the counter and it is fall perfection - warming, cozy spices reminding me a bit of authentic India chai, but with a rich base of coffee instead of tea. Not overly sweet, I could crave this every day. They have quite the selection of decadent cakes that the girls from my office raved about, but I opted for the savory galette to go with my coffee. Buttery pastry shell, spinach, potato, cheesy goodness. Just very yummy. Free parking on the street nearby or in the lot directly adjacent. Great, cozy seating inside for working and really nice tables outside for catching up with a friend. The menu is quite pricey compared to a Starbucks, but I'm rationalizing that with WAY better coffee and ingredients and ease, because it's right next to my office! Welcome to the neighborhood, Haraz!! So thrilled to finally have good coffee in the area.

Yelp
AMAZING Yemen coffeehouse right next to the basement east! They have traditional Yemen lattes and food as well as classic american lattes. The indoor and outdoor seating is lovely and the baristas give great recs! Great spot to meet up with friends and catch up or settle in and get some work done!

Yelp
I stopped in Haraz Coffee House post dinner on my way to an evening meeting, went with their Red Tea (which was their black tea and cardamom and was absolutely fire). I never ask for decaf, but it was 6pm at night - they didn't have decaf options of coffee (I know lame of me to ask, but it was 6pm). I am always seeking a warm, inviting atmosphere with quality coffee/tea/pastries and can't wait to come back and try more as there was so much to explore and the vibe transports you to another place entirely.

Yelp
I got invited to try this place by a friend of mine. We came to celebrate our recent dance performance, as it was close by. Upon walking up, the place feels upscale. There is indoor and outdoor seating, with umbrellas for heat and rain as well as heaters for cold weather. Indoors, there are bright lights and plenty of seating. Pastries can be seen on a window display and they sell themselves visually. They taste just as great! The service was amazingly pleasant. Everyone was patient as we were asking questions about the menu. Getting our food after ordering took about 7 minutes or so. The coffee was good, the tea was good, but my order of hibiscus water was a bit too tart for my taste. Nonetheless, I have returned a second time and ordered the mocha latte, which made up for the first time experience. I highly recommend this place for its desserts.

Yelp
Visited October 13, 2024. Always on the lookout for great coffee and snacks! The pastries were sweet and delicious. It was my first visit to a Yemeni shop, and I was really excited about the experience. The interior design and the authentic Yemeni music were exceptional. However, the counter service could improve--being a new shop, I'm hopeful this gets better over time. The first hour of parking is free, which is a nice perk! My order was delivered to me, but I noticed that other dine-in orders still had to be picked up at the counter. We had a few questions about the menu, but the cashier's responses were vague; for example, when we asked about the SANA'ANI drink, we only were told that it was a traditional Yemeni beverage, which left us wanting more details since we didn't know what that exactly entails. For the brown sugar shaken espresso, I suggest asking customers if they want sweetener. We assumed it would come with enough sweetness, but the receipt indicated it didn't, we weren't given the option at the time & only found out from tasting only black coffee. Overall, I'm hopeful for improvements! Definitely one of the best Baklava I've had thus far! A must try if you're in East. Perfect late night hours too, closes at 11P!

Yelp
I had never heard of this place until a friend mentioned wanting to come, which was shocking considering I've been in the area many, many times. There is street parking available, as well as a paid lot located next to the building. The first time I went, I opted for the lot due to chronic pain from an improperly healed injury at the time. Since then, I park wherever is available. That being said, if you have mobility issues and concerns then getting into this establishment can be tough due to its location on top of a hill, with parking available to the side and below. The space is very crowded when I've been there, but when you take the coffee and tasty treats, you see why. I'm going to be honest, I don't remember the names of everything I sampled as my friend ordered several items and just handed them to me. The staff were nice, yet frazzled. There was one main person on the register and taking orders. That person also helped make orders and run them which was boggling! Everyone, from the staff to the customers, was very kind. I always fear taking up too much space, but it was nice to have the space for me and my friends.

Yelp
Salaam!! This was 10 out of 10. I love the coffee shop interior, I love your sign on the front, I love the location! There was bread from Yemen and baklava made in house, but my favorite was the almond croissant! I'm always looking for a good almond croissant. My husband is from Saudi Arabia and is very picky about Saudi coffee and he loved this one! My latte was very good. It was a little bit bitter, but probably because I get it plain with just milk. I'm so glad you guys are here!
google avatar

Victoria L.

Yelp
The pistachio iced latte was so good. I love how green it was too! They had a variety of milk cakes to choose from but I went with the pistachio one! I'll be back!

Kelly G.

Yelp
Stopping in on a rainy, Saturday morning while visiting Nashville. It was very busy, which is always a good sign. I ordered the iced pistachio latte. It was bold and not too sweet, which I loved. First time trying Yemeni coffee and it was SO good.
google avatar

Dana A.

Yelp
I enjoyed the experience! Luxury and great taste of coffee! The whole team are very friendly and welcoming! Also they have Beautiful decor and very clean!
google avatar

Bianca B.

Yelp
Delicious cafe and pastries. Lively ambiance which I enjoy especially coming from Los Angeles. This is what I'm used to. And they close very late. Something I miss as well.
google avatar

Hayden S.

Yelp
I've been to Haraz multiple times now and love their adeni chai and milk cakes! I've also tried their famous bee bites, which were tasty - like a soft pretzel filled with cream cheese. The chai is super unique - not a "chai" tea in the American sense, but in the Yemen sense with a cardamom-forward flavor. I like it so much I bought a bag of their tea so I can make it at home!

Samantha A.

Yelp
Doing a cafe tour of Nashville and Haraz didn't disappoint. Their pistachio frappe and pistachio iced coffee was incredible. I got a matcha with coconut and it wasn't my favorite, wouldn't get again. The pastry options they have are so unique and I want to try all of them. I ended up getting the Biscoff Muska (the triangle option) and literally said wow. It was so delicious. Service was slow so don't come if you're in a hurry. They also don't validate parking which is a bummer so find street parking if you don't want to pay.
google avatar

Elissa N.

Yelp
The café itself is absolutely stunning! I love the ambiance and the style choices. I ordered a Salted Caramel Latte and my husband ordered their Chai. Both drinks were delicious, and the service was pretty decent. The to-go cups are designed really well. You can definitely tell that the place is new, and the staff are doing their best to learn everything and produce quality products. I'm sure that with time the service will only improve and become quicker. My only recommendation would be that the café needs some music playing. It was too silent and awkward when sitting for longer than 10 minutes.
google avatar

Jessica K.

Yelp
The tea and hot chocolate were fantastic! My son got a pastry and I picked up a slice of the pistachio cheesecake for my hubby. Everything was divine and we will be back! Only negative was that it's a little pricy.
google avatar

Joanna F.

Yelp
Love seeing international coffee and tea represented in the Nashville coffee scene! Our favorite item we ordered was the pistachio milk cake--SO GOOD. The space is so clean and gives a very high-end experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, making great recommendations for first-time visitors. The variety of Yemeni-inspired drinks is impressive, and the flavors are authentic and unique. It's the perfect spot for a coffee date, catching up with friends, or even getting some work done in a cozy yet upscale atmosphere. Highly recommend checking this place out!
google avatar

Evan L.

Yelp
I will be making this a regular spot. Yemeni coffee and tea are known to be some of the strongest and best. I was not disappointed. Will be dreaming about this karak. Ambiance is really nice and staff is very friendly. We came in on their first open day post soft opening so I think they were a little overwhelmed. They did get our order wrong but they corrected it and did not charge us the difference. Amazing customer service. Most establishments wouldn't take accountability. Support middle eastern businesses!

Catherine M.

Yelp
I visited during a coffee rush hour on the weekend and had a great experience. I loved the ambiance of the inside of the coffee house and that they also have plenty of outside seating and free parking. I got the strawberry lemonade refresher and the bee bites. The refresher has fresh fruit and I loved that the bee bites were served warm.

Anna R.

Yelp
I won't be coming back here. Based on the reviews I may have just gotten them on a bad day, but - I came in in the afternoon to do a bit of work and hang out. There was only one person behind the counter for most of my visit and I felt like a bother the whole time I was there. Service was slow, baklava was meh, the tables hadn't been wiped down despite the workers sitting on their phones in their downtime. It was good coffee though, I got the haraz latte and enjoyed it. And it's a well-designed place with good indoor and outdoor seating. So three stars for that and some benefit of the doubt. But overall I felt pretty unwelcome. Nashville has a lot of really kind workers that also make great coffee, so I'll be going elsewhere in the future.

Ariel E.

Yelp
I left after waiting 25 minutes for a latte. The baristas didn't seem to know how to work the espresso machine properly and were struggling to complete the latte orders. I didn't have time to wait any longer so I didn't receive a refund for my order either. I will probably not be returning back here. The ambiance was very nice and the staff seemed really friendly, but they really need to work on training their staff.
google avatar

Nicole A.

Yelp
Amazing nostalgic scent of quality coffee resembling levant/Middle East coffee shops from the moment you walk in. This high value coffee shop reminded me of a magical place I used to visit in Jerusalem as a child with my father. I ordered an iced Haraz coffee with honey, iced hibiscus refresher, and a milk cake(saffron). Everything was amazingly delicious and so quality. The service was impeccable, some of the most friendliest kindest people behind the counter there. I def recommend to all! You won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service!! The employees are very sweet & welcoming. Love their pistachio latte hot. Iced was okay, but the hot latte was 1000/10 lol. So aesthetic & just a vibe!

Patrick R.

Yelp
Friendly staff. Not a "coffee shop" atmosphere. Glass and chrome feel. But overpriced and no free parking after one hour. Latte and crumb cake - $14.50. Parked a few minutes over one hour - $4.50. Metropolis parking - enough said.
google avatar

Kayla S.

Yelp
this place is amazing! the woman at the counter was very helping in helping me decide what i want because i've never had yemeni coffee before. the pistachio latte is DIVINE and so is the pistachio mosaic cake. i can't wait to come back and try more!

Alexa K.

Yelp
Adorable, spotless coffee spot with cozy vibes and rich, strong brews--perfect pick-me-up!
google avatar

Apples K.

Yelp
This place is top tier. Not just an Instagram place that looks good it actually is excellent. First place I gave ever gone with unsweetened pistachio flavor for lattes. Desserts are soft, fresh, and clearly made from scratch. Decor is rustic, creative, modern, with antique accents. Received great recommendations from the lead barista. Service was great. Saffron milk cake? Yes please.

Marc Sebastien P.

Yelp
Great coffee Great pastries and sweets Apparently cannot order in via phone for take out
google avatar

Rachel N.

Yelp
Drinks and food look amazing but not sure how it can take 20 minutes to make a coffee. I hope it was an off day, but I've never seen such poor management behind the counter. Total chaos by the people making drinks.

Shayan S.

Yelp
Went here with my family. Got the pistachio frappe and bunch of the desserts. My favorites were bee bites and the biscoff milk cake. Everything was very good, perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. The customer service was great also. Ahmed helped out me and my family and was very helpful and patient with us even though we had a group of 10 people, so shoutout to him for making the experience great. The place looks very aesthetic and nice, definitely a great instagram story spot for people who like to post on social media.

Mustafa K.

Yelp
We tried this place on their second day of opening. The ambience is beautiful. Customer service was great and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The Karak chai was amazing. Will definitely come back to try more of their authentic coffees and teas.

Ahmed M.

Yelp
Some of the best coffee i ever had, finally some Middle East coffee in Nashville. The design and atmosphere of this place is beautiful.

Savannah B.

Yelp
we're just here visiting and we originally intended to hit up a few different coffee shops, but we've shown up to this one every day of our trip. we tried it day 1 and it's just that good. trust me, you've never had coffee this good. and they have incredible treats in a case out front, like dubai chocolate bars or saffron milk cake or baklava. the employees are exceptionally kind and the inside is lovely. great community space!
