Went to Harbor House Cafe for dinner after our Hoover Dam tour. Very friendly wait staff, relaxing atmosphere, nice view of the marina. I had the cornbread battered catfish with fries and coleslaw. Great food and fair prices.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an amazing experience at this restaurant—not only because of the food, which was excellent, but also because of the outstanding service I received. The waitress who took care of me was absolutely lovely. She radiated warmth, professionalism, and a genuine kindness that made me feel truly welcome. Her experience and dedication to her work were evident in every detail. She’s a true example of strength and passion. I’ll definitely be back and hope to be served by her again

Really good food. Great service and amazing atmosphere.

Been going for a couple of years but last night might be the last got charged $14. For two small Miller light cans we paid less than that on the strip for large cans. Enjoyed watching the bats.

Plenty of parking in the dirt lot and a short walk on the dock to get to the restaurant. No waiting to be seated (we went on a monday) I have to say, the walk on the dock to the restaurant was the best, quite an adventure to say the least!I So much so, I forgot to take photos of the restaurant. LOL The fish were so fun! Striped bass and carp, lots of water fowl and seagulls. Seriously so fun. :) So the conclusion, enjoyed the walk, enjoyed the restaurant, worth the stop!

This restaurant is located on lake mead in Boulder city NV. Beautiful short drive from henderson or LV. Good food great service. Try the fish n chips upgrade to the garlic parm cheese fries. Small bar inside restaurant. Old fashion bar vibe.

My wife and I really enjoy coming here for breakfast and a morning cocktail, especially on an off season weekday. Just a hop skip and a jump from Boulder City and the few people who would be there on a day like that are all locals. Great views, wonderful atmosphere, tasty food and cheap drinks. I love that it feels like a hole in the wall in an otherwise busy corner of Nevada. If there's a bummer part about this place is that you need to have a National Parks Pass or day pass to get here. Otherwise, it's a great way to feel like you're getting away without actually going anywhere too far.

Yelp
10/10 experience... but don't come here for the food! Adorable restaurant, basically the only one on lake mead except the seasonal dinner cruise. Parking in a large marina lot. Walk down the dock to find the restaurant. Sit outside, enjoy a drink. They have nearly a full bar. The girls who work here are super nice. The zucchini fries were decent. Just don't expect much out of the food, but that's not what you should be here for. Amazing place to relax and enjoy the lake views.

Yelp
A fairly large cafe right on the water, plenty of seating indoors & outside. The view was very nice, looking out to the boats tied up at the marina & seeing the calm waters of Lake Mead. But, it is a bit of a walk from the gravel parking lot, especially if it's a hot day. The food was wonderful & the service was great. I went with the Island Chicken sandwich, while the Mrs went with their signature Titanic. We both had tater tots. Hot & crispy, they were a great side dish. The have a full bar too. The interior decor was very clean & neat. From the pirate near the front to the diving helmet & then the surfboards & signs on the walls, all reflected a water motif. All in all, we were happy we stopped in.

Yelp
First time here grabbing something simple. Bacon Cheese burger with fries and a buffalo chicken wrap with onion rings. Peaceful and great service.

Yelp
There weren't a lot of choices around this area, and we didn't bring a picnic. The fried cheese and pickle fries were great. The salads were nothing special. The burgers were decent. What was great was the location right on Lake Mead. We loved walking out with the ducks and fish following us.

Yelp
Yeah, Buoyyy! Excellent food and service! This nautical-themed restaurant sits right on the water of Lake Mead. Their menu offers diner-like options as well as seafood. My daughters completely finished their mac and cheese and chicken fingers from the kids' menu while I did the same to my Grilled Cheese (one of my favorite meals) on my choice of rye. YUM! For their included sides, I went for their amazingly good potato salad. My mother-in-law and hubs also enjoyed their meals and beer. A lovely little sail-abration! NOTES/TIPS: **Wheelchair-accessible. Clean bathrooms. Casual vibes but a shirt and footwear required. **You can feed the ducks and fish by the dock outside. **Parking is very easy before the dock along the sandy area in a vast lot.

Yelp
Mood - The Start of a New Adventure I love going on mini roadtrips. I am that person who fits 36 hours of stuff to do within a 24 hour timeline. Live life to the fullest and accept an adventure is my motto. That is where this restaurant came into play On this day I wanted to go visit the marina and and check out the levels a Lake Mead. it always puts things into perspective when you get to see something for yourself. Upon entering was greeted and led to set at any table we chose. Menus were given and drink order was taken. There were some questions that were asked and everything was answered with ease. Opted for the Titanic their Signature Garlic Parm Fries, and the Western with Tots. Everything was prepared wonderfully. However those Fries really stood out top and center in my opinion. Interior is pretty big. There are several table and chair arrangements. It can def accommodate small parties to more larger ones as well. It was very clean and music was playing in the background. It is very marina inspired deco and great to look at as you are conversating with your party. There is outdoor seating as well. Would recommend - pricing is reasonable. Staff are very courteous and hospitable. My table was continually checked on. The have daily specials that are offered as well. Location is Lake Mead - now it is not free to get into Lake Mead unless you are military or have a special pass. There is a fee for a daily pass or you can buy the annual pass which will get you into State Parks, and BLM lands ect.... This is why I said this is the start of my next adventure. Please pay attention to the gravel road pictures I took for the parking. If you are on the other side where it is mainly dirt road, I would not suggest using a car to get over as the sand is soft.

Yelp
Very friendly staff. Before talking about the food, we have to consider two factors, 1- the restaurant is located in the middle of nowhere 2- prices are low. The sea food was frozen and not fresh, but the drink was very good.

Yelp
This stop makes a trip to Lake Mead feel complete. Visited twice now and will be back. Casual waterfront dining with good service. Generally attracts people coming off the water but a good stop for anyone trying to enjoy the lake as a roadside stop too. The outside looks kind of like a shipping container and then the inside has nautical wooden finishes including pirate and sailing decor. The restaurant and bathrooms are slightly dirty but that comes with the territory. Lots of menu options, beer on draft, wine, and a cocktail list. The wings were pretty good. We got the Asian and hot Buffalo wings, extra saucy, all flats, with blue cheese and the IPA they had on draft. On another visit, the Hippie Juice cocktail was decent but I would not recommend the Island Sunset as it has pretty overwhelming mixers. There are a ton of ducks, other water birds, carp and catfish swarming the docks. People feed them bread and popcorn. They're really used to being fed and follow you, opening their mouths for food. It's all a bit strange but a good photo opportunity. Some people lay on the dock and try to grab the fishies too (unsuccessfully). Sharing some information that I hope is helpful: - There are 2 marina restaurants and both have the address 490 Horsepower Cove. One is called Harbor House, which I am reviewing. There is a restaurant that is called Boat House that is a nearby restaurant on a separate dock. The ownership is the same and there are similarities in the menu options but different hours. When facing the water, the Boat House is on the right hand side dock. Meanwhile the Harbor House Restaurant is on the left hand side dock with a sign on the awning saying "Las Vegas Boat Harbor." I included a marked up version of the satellite view from Google in case that helps. - The posted hours for both the marina restaurant vary quite a bit with the seasons and demand. At the time of writing this post, I have included a picture of the posted hours. The hours online are highly variable for both restaurants and not reflective of the actual hours.

Yelp
Old school diner/bar on Lake Mead. Cool location on a marina. Breakfast was good and basic. $14 for egg and bacon breakfast with coffee. Good spot to fortify for the day!

Yelp
It's a hole in the wall kinda place on the water, not sure there are any other options. We stopped in after a day of water activities and viewing the Hoover Dam. The food was adequate and the service was friendly.

Yelp
Wow this little hidden gem by Lake Mead is awesome. This place had the best chili I have ever had. Their food is delicious and has a home made taste to it. Awesome place and a must stop for Lake Mead boaters.

Yelp
This is a very laid back establishment. It's just a small restaurant on the marina that absolutely has that 'small town' feel. The staff are friendly and courteous, but are sometimes hard to track down. The food prices are very decent, and the food itself had good taste and quality. Overall, a very good spot to grab a bite to each other a drink to relax.

Yelp
Awesome customer service. Very friendly and accommodating. They give 15% military discount too! Thank you so much. We sat outside by the dock and watched the ducks begging us for food. Lol. We ordered beef quesadilla, seafood platter (fish, shrimps, calamari), and sample platter (mozzarella sticks, mini corn dogs, onion rings, battered sausage, fried pickles). It was oookay, fried stuff you know nothing too special. The quesadilla was the best thing we ordered, but it wasn't too memorable or anything. I'd say it's a okay place to eat if you are around and hungry. Great staff!

Yelp
Have been coming here for years and the service is unmatched! My family always feels like family when we come in because the girls are all so attentive and helpful. The Mai Tais are a must at night and the bloody's in the morning. You also have to get the mozzarella sticks and the new garlic cheese curds!! The lake would not be the same without this place and so many amazing memories were made from here. Definitely stop by for a drink if you're going out to the lake.

Yelp
Great food and awesome environment. I had amazing service this morning. I enjoy going down for a meal and look out at the boats.

Yelp
This place is great at what it is, a marina restaurant. Service was EXCELLENT. Food was as expected, totally fine. Onion rings were good, fries good, burgers good and a good pour of the chardonnay. Water view, fun decor...can't go wrong here. 5/5 recommend.
google avatar

Adriana D.

Yelp
This is a cute casual place to eat on the water which is rare in the desert. The food is not fancy in the least so if you want a basket of fries and a sandwich, it's perfect. Wish they had a fence around the dock because it's great for kids to see the ducks and fish, but as a parent I have constant paranoia that they will fall in! Otherwise good, cheap, casual eats. :)
google avatar

Yelp
Cool location but the food is not good. My friend Ordered regular and seafood samplers that came soaked in oil that tells me it's reached its end of life two years ago. Fun part is he was going to give it to the giant carpe that feed by the docks but told him it would kill them. Bought some popcorn instead and fed the fish. Staff was fine, friendly etc. Beer was cold but Flat. Make sure you don't show up hungry or thirsty.
google avatar

Yelp
I was told several times, don't go there. Well, I'm the one that has to learn on their own. It's our anniversary and I was looking forward to a night out with dinner on the patio. We waited over 10 minutes to be sat. No one came to greet us after the cook made eye contact with us, some guy in a beanie was stacking dishes and napkins, made contact. The bar made contact. We had to go to the bar area with my 8 year old, just to be told the grill is down only serving fried foods. Which is odd because we just watched the cook make pizzas.
google avatar

Yelp
Terrible service, if you aren't white they'll basically ignore you, service was slow and the food was wildly mediocre.

Carrie A.

Yelp
I honestly think this is a hidden gem Inly if you have a National Park pass or willing to pay every time you enter I would say this is a place you should definitely try. This was our first time here stuff I really friendly and attentive. Food came out fast and full of flavor. Wish this was some thing closer to where I live.

Yelp
I walked in and our bartender Tayler was amazing, friendly and great conversations with us. She would absolutely be the only reason I will ever come back.... Then this lady Jannett (I asked for her name) came up and started cleaning the vaccum on the cutting board. I made a comment that she was cleaning it on the cutting area and prep area for drinks. Her comment back was "oh nothings dirty in this" and referenced the vaccume.... She did clean up the area, however the drink garnish containers were open.

Eric G.

Yelp
Not the best but the only option at the Marina. Both restaurants have the same menu and management, which seems like a missed opportunity. Pretty sure they're swapping out the name brand liquor bottles for low grade, off brand rocket fuel. Ordered two Bacardi cocktails and it felt like we drank a gallon of bathtub booze. We're Cuban, so two Bacardi cocktails is not going to put us out. Service is great, the staff is always wonderful, but I wouldn't trust the stocked liquors.

Yelp
We were visiting Vegas and it was dead so we decided to go look at Hoover Dam. We were able to walk the property but all tours were canceled due to Covid and the idiot Governor Of Nevada. So we were all hungry and drove over to Lake Mead and found this place. Our server Cindy was very friendly and we had a great time talking about several issues such as the effects of Covid or government over-reach and fees. The burgers are huge and the tea fresh. It hit the spot before we drove back to Vegas.
google avatar

Sarah O.

Yelp
We've been here a handful of times trying different items off the menu but now we always go for one thing. The philly cheesesteak fries! This is a casual place to enjoy some fellowship with friends and family. If you ever find yourself at Lake Mead, stop on in and enjoy! And please be polite to the servers. They are enjoyable and attentive if you aren't being a butthead.

Yelp
Hanging out at Harbor House Cafe reminds me of the Otis Redding song "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay." Lake Mead isn't exactly a bay, but it is the closest thing to it in the Mojave Desert. Harbor House Cafe is part of the Las Vegas Boat Harbor marina. It is a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating surrounded by the Lake Mead water and boats. Harbor House Cafe serves the typical cafe food during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is a full-service restaurant with friendly waitresses. Harbor House Cafe is more than a restaurant. It is also a bar. They serve beer in cans (domestic $3), bottles (domestic $3 and imports $4), buckets (5 alike cans $12), and draft Michelob Ultra ($4) and Shock Top ($5.50). It is a bar that is over and above just serving beer. They serve cocktails that include Bahama Mama, Beach Bull, Naked Pirate, Sand in your Shorts, Tropical Sunrise, and Blue Coconut Margaritas. Plus they also serve wine. Today when I hiked round-trip between the Hacienda (might be Hoover Dam Lodge by the time you read this) and Las Vegas Boat Harbor, Harbor House Cafe was my half-way stop. It is a very tranquil spot to take a break on Lake Mead with a cold one. I ordered a Michelob Ultra draft in a plastic cup that I took to the patio where I felt like I was sitting on the dock of the bay. I enjoyed feeling the gentle breeze of Lake Mead, hearing the seagulls, and taking in the boats. I felt like I was transplanted back to Long Island. The docks surrounding and including the Harbor House Cafe is a prime waterfowl viewing spot. Waterfowl from ducks to geese to what looked like a rooster are the free entertainment here. There was no shortage of an entertaining waterfowl coming into view. Just like any good entertainer, waterfowl brightens my mood. I timed it so I left Harbor House Cafe at sundown. Being a hiker into picture-taking, the sun coming down over Lake Mead was a nice way to end my break. There is relatively few places in the Mojave Desert where I feel like I am sitting on the dock of the bay. Harbor House Cafe gives this experience with friendly service. And I give it 4 stars.

Yelp
Last night we went to the marina after work and missed the shop closing time to buy popcorn. My daughter was heartbroken because she's been looking forward to feeding the fish. The lady said the bar at the restaurant sells popcorn as well (they were out) but a sweet waitress went and grabbed my daughter some bread to feed the ducks and fish. So sweet and made my daughters night. After we fed the fish we went in and ate and it was delicious as always! Our waitress went above and beyond. So thankful for the kindness. This place is a must eat every time we are in Nevada!

Yelp
Honestly I seriously question the managers or whoever hires the staff at this place. Having a slip, we come to this place a lot and every single time, Ericka is talking about the other employees to other co workers and how they are horrible at their job or don't know what they are doing in front of customers. Its becoming a joke between our friends really, that when we go she will be working and we can hear all the drama. All joking aside It's disgusting that she thinks that's appropriate around customers. The only good thing they have done lately is hire Karsten. She is amazing and happy and helpful. She is the POSITIVE person you want waiting on you.

Yelp
After a fun day of exploring, swimming & tanning at Lake Mead, we made our way over to the pier in hopes of finding some food. Thankfully, Harbor House is there!! It's by no means a fancy place, but we didn't expect that. It reminded me of the bars & restaurants that lined the shores back in Florida: beach/water themed decor, a pirate statue, water sport memorabilia, etc. We were seated instantly and taken care of by a nice lady who took the time to answer our tispy questions. Both my friend and I ordered burgers (she got the mini version of the "Titanic" burger and I got one that had bacon, cheddar and BBQ sauce on it). Both burgers came with fries (though you could pick something else as a side instead). The food was good and reasonably priced. They do have a bar with beer, wine and liquor. We didn't do any drinking there, but the prices looked pretty good for booze too. Our server was very nice though a little slow in terms of coming back to our table and then getting our check. She was just the right amount of chatty (not overly chatty but also not like speaking to a brick wall). At the time we went (a Monday at like 5:30/6pm), the place was pretty quiet. A couple tables taken, but not busy by any means. I'll stop by next time I'm over on Lake Mead and need a good bite!

Yelp
This place was a perfect stop after seeing the Hoover Dam! Mermaid Water and Mai Tai were delicious! So good!!
google avatar

Yelp
Service was super slow! Our appetizers came out hot to where I burned the inside of my mouth. I got the chicken teriyaki and the bun was hard as a rock. Really let down here. Seems like some organization will go a long way here. We shall see.

Yelp
I stopped in at the harbor house and cafe . Loved the environment.. ordered the omelette it was really good food service was very good

Yelp
GOT SICK!! a few hours later after eating here. The only thing that we can pinpoint that got my son & I ill was the water we ordered because we all ordered different foods from the menu plus the drinks. It was horrible, it started with a stomach ache, fever, vomiting & then diarrhea. We had to take my son to urgent care and was given a nausea pill & recommended lots of fluids. Unfortunately we cut our vacation short & came back to Ca. My son I went to our doctors and explained our symptoms and where we had eaten. They couldn't confirm that it was the water but did say something might of not been properly sanitized . The food there was not that great and after getting sick here I dont recommended to no one. .
google avatar

Yelp
You want to dine on the water in the middle of the desert? You want a hole in the wall type of joint that hand frys their French fries? Go here. We went here on a whim after the Hoover Dam, and I'm so glad we did. You guys, the fries. The fries!!! The Hawaiian chicken burger was good, messy good. I'll definitely make a trip back. Great service too.

Danielle M.

Yelp
Food poisoning Entire group sick after eating here. Horrible. Slow service and food was not good.

Yelp
We were so pleased with our experience at the Harbor House. The huge patio was so relaxing to sit on over the lake and watch all the fishes and ducks. It'd be hard for me to have a bad time in an environment like that, but what made it was the servers. Our server was so attentive and kind. Excellent at her job, and everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their servers and experiences. We had the buffalo chicken wrap and the patty melt - would recommend both (but ask for thousand island for the patty melt - pro tip). Our server even offered us complimentary iced tea to go since we'd been drinking it. Vegas can be a bit overwhelming for me when we visit and we will definitely be escaping to Harbor House at Lake Mead from now on!!

Richard M.

Yelp
We had a GREAT pair of Dinners but the best one was the Tuna Steak. Great rub added to the tender and flash fried Tuna. Yum!!! I also had the Pirate special which we also recommend. A roast beef sandwich and coleslaw. We shall return!!!
google avatar

Jackie S.

Yelp
Great service, atmosphere and food. My server was amazing! Well worth the 2 mile literal hike to get here!

Yelp
Was fresh, got and service was great. Nice atmosphere. Was like a meal we would experience in a vacation.

Yelp
I will never return to this place . I wanted to make an order to go. So I was waiting in line for 10 minutes, there wasn't even anyone in front of me. By the time the server comes (named Megan) took my order she just had a nasty ass attitude, did not say hi or anything. So when she asked for my card their machine was unable to read my card and it would not go through, then she walks away for about another 10 minutes without saying anything. Finally when she comes s back she snatched the card out of my hand and try's the card again and asks me if I was able to get another card?! As if it was my fault ? She was just so rude her energy was very shitty. I understand people have bad days but her attitude was just over the top. I came with some family and even they agreed that their customer service was just as bad and service was extremely slow!

Yelp
Despite reading some negative reviews, we decided to try it out for breakfast as we were waiting for our rental boat to be ready. It's a small place with limited staff, but the staff was super nice and took excellent care of their patrons. The food was also quite good. The omelets were huge and the hash browns were crisp. It took a bit longer that expected for the food to get to the table, but we were on vacation and weren't in a hurry. All in all, we were quite satisfied, especially with how friendly the staff was. The next time rent a boat from Las Vegas Harbor, we'll make sure to come a bit early and enjoy breakfast again out here (and yes it's a pretty view overlooking the boat harbor on Lake Mead).

Joseph C.

Yelp
It's a hole in the wall kinda place on the water, Erica and Cindy are fabulous people and provide outstanding customer service while we suffer through this fake crisis.
google avatar

Imelda S.

Yelp
Awesome service and staff. The bartender there yesterday afternoon (6/30/18) was super friendly and she was great! The food was 10+ in terms of taste and quality. Best little bar and restaurant on the Lake!
google avatar

Robert D.

Yelp
Great place to get lunch and a beer. Nice sit down and watch the waterfowl. The cost isn't bad and it's a fun walk on the pier to there. Bring some food for the birds and the coi fish. There is also lots of activity in and around the pier. This is only a few mins away from boulder beach.
google avatar

Jamie G.

Yelp
Horrible. It's like one of those places in the boondocks you get murdered at. Then they make food out of their poor victims. The coffee is practically water. The mug the coffee comes in has dried soap all over it and would stick to the dirty table. Worse than cafeteria food. The eggs were not even eatable! The staff lack hygiene and manners. Worse breakfast of my life. It was like torture. Steer clear people!
google avatar

Kelsey B.

Yelp
Thanks Denise! You made our experience so fun. And you were right... the artichoke dip was fabulous. Great setting. Wonderful service!

Russ P.

Yelp
$25 charge to get into a National Park, but, and I never thought I would type this, worth it. Salad was fresh, Island Chicken I would enter into a sandwich contest, Fish & Chips were delicious and beer was ice cold! Our waitress, Sherina, made the lunch fun! Service and views were awesome.
google avatar

Caitlin B.

Yelp
Left Hoover Dam and we wanted to spend some time at Lake Mead. We heard there was a cafe, but we were just expecting a snack bar. We were pleasantly surprised that it was a restaurant. Excellent service and delicious food. We had the Island Chicken sandwich and fish tacos. Both were awesome and the price was right!

Yelp
Me and my 3 year old son bought food at the gift shop then took it over to the tables right next door at the harbor house cafe so we could eat at a table in the shade. There was no crowd so we were not taking tables away from paying customers and while we brought a small snack of our own the rest of our food was all purchased at the marina. A waitress came out and told us we couldn't eat there because we didn't but food from their restaurant....even though here was NO ONE there and I showed her the crappy prepackaged food we bought just next door. It's over a 100 degrees here this time of year, the only other benches available outside of that eating area were in the sun, so we sat on the dirty ground under the cover of the marina. While sitting there a male employee of the harbor house cafe was on the phone cursing repeatedly to someone on the phone loud enough for my son to hear. No class, no common sense or decency. We just bought a pass today and out of principle we will be sure to not spend a dime at this marina ever again. Ridiculous.

Yelp
I really enjoyed sitting lakeside at this cafe this passed weekend. I was very relaxing. I would definitely go back. I also liked the fact that I was able to sit in the patio with my DOGS drink some beverages and enjoy some food.
