Yes, You Can Borrow Cake Pans at the Library | Eater

"A community library that built a 20‑pan cake pan collection from staff and public donations supplemented by a few purchases and now circulates specialty pans such as a “Bake’n Fill” pan, teddy bear‑shaped and Barbie‑brand pans, and a popular Sesame Street Elmo face pan. To manage storage and sanitation, the pans are kept behind the circulation desk; patrons browse a binder of notecards in the children’s section, bring a notecard to the desk to check out a pan, and receive instructions recommending washing the pan before and after use." - Emma Grillo

Love this library. It’s clean, enough study tables and quiet rooms. There are conference rooms that look really nice (I never had to use one). Bathrooms are kept clean. Friendly staff

"Great place!", I'd say! I went in looking for a book to help me diagnose my car. The reference librarian was of immense help consistently going above and beyond the call of his duties. I went in for some information left with a friendly feeling. I notice they have pasta making classes and bread making classes in a LOVELY kitchen, I might add. I love the grand piano in the meeting room and would like to return and teach a musical class there.

I used to think that this was a really nice library. I want to emphasize that I do not come here often. About 7 months ago, I wanted to get a library card for one of the children, I babysit. ' On this particular occasion, I asked for a library card for myself. The receptionist in a condescending tone, said no, " You've been here before and you've already asked that." To clarify, the previous time I did not ask for a membership for myself but for the child. Being that this is a predominately white library and I am one of the few people of color, let alone black people that visit this library speaks to the volumes of that statement. The microaggression really was not needed. The condescending tone was not needed. She acted like I frequent here weekly, and ask weekly for a library card! The only reason I asked was to reserve a quiet room which you have to be a Harborfields patron to do. For future, I will probably think twice before coming here because I've obviously left a lasting imprint.

Great programs for kids and is one of the hallmarks of the Harborfields area. We have been taking our kid there since he was a year old and the staff couldn’t be more amazing. If there was ever a singular reason to move to a town, it would be this library. Since then, it has become a go to for both us as parents to read and get some quiet time as well as to go to with our extended family for the kids area. I am not an expert and I won’t go as far as to say it’s better or worse than any other library. But for me, it is what we hoped for when we were starting a family in this little town. The adult non fiction area is up to date and their selection of children’s books has been a good find. The Christmas tree lighting and Menorah/Chanukah celebration is also a great social activity for the families we have met here.

Yelp
Library in Greenlawn with event of a flower show exhibit on display. The library is on Broadway on the West side of the street. When coming in there is a circle area with a few parking spots. This visit saw Fall scarecrows in front and some garden flowers neatly trimmed with signage noting deGrootDesignsInc. Walking to the other side one sees impressively how big and long the building(s) are. Coming in at the Main (see pix) there are librarians at the book desk who pleasantly directed us to follow the others and the signs to the Centerport Garden Clubs 2023 Flower show within. (see review). Through and around we found it near the circle entrance we had parked at. Entering was a cute cubical display of Witch paraphernalia along with a book of course titled Son of a Witch, a welcoming teddy bear by the Friends little book shop and a sign of special thanks, listing the local merchants who support them. Displays at and on the stage entrance had smooth clean floors and well taped down wires near the steps. In one of the back rooms was a hospitality room with tables chairs and snacks for those to share or purchase. I met Kate a lovely and helpful member of the flower club who shared how much combined work and effort was involved in the set ups and displays. This is a true example of "Many hands make light work" and also maybe not so light work, to see the polished efforts of how everything in the library was so nice. P.S. this included the bathroom for Women (see pix) which was clean and pleasantly decorated. It is worth the visit.

Yelp
So who writes a review for their local public library anyway? Me, that's who! I love my local library to pieces! I've been a patron there for nearly six years, and I really enjoying going there. Like most libraries, they have a lot of books! Over the years, I have some really great books to read and enjoy. Additionally, they have a fantastic magazine section to catch up on all my reading without having to subscribe to a million magazines and kill a bunch of trees. Their DVD section is also very nice and has a really great selection of new movies, documentaries, and TV shows as well as previous hits and misses. They also have public computers which are great for when I need to print things or do some quick online research when I am there. The library itself is a decent size which also houses meeting rooms, a hallway that usually has local artist's work displayed on it, and where all elections are held for our polling precinct. The Harborfields Public Library also has a really huge section for both kids and teens. I would be really surprised if someone couldn't find something to enjoy while at this library. I really love going there when I can!

Yelp
I love this library. There are so many free events and passes for families looking for affordable or free family-friendly events. The staff is helpful and friendly. My son loves the Children's area. I have had many playdates here. It is impossible to get him to leave! Keep up the great work!
