Good only for a quick stop if you’re staying at the hotel and have just arrived. No frills. BEAUTIFUL VIEW of Charleston. Tables often left dirty between customers. Menu was different (more limited) than what’s online. Food decent. Drinks not good. Ordered the basil gin drink which was served with poor presentation and flavor. Ordered an espresso martini which tasted more like a chocolate martini (with baileys) for dessert. If ordering a drink stick to beer and wine or a simple mixed drink.

Great view. Despite being short staffed the servers do their best to accommodate you. I had the shrimp and grits which were great. The brunch buffet was also alright. Nothing special but very decent for a hotel breakfast.

We always enjoyed our breakfast or brunch at this restaurant with great view of the harbor from the large window... They also have ala carte menu besides buffet.. The buffet also have fresh fruits, oatmeal, scramble eggs, sausage and bacon with bread, waffle , etc...it's worth your money... The service was great...

This was my first time trying out the Harbor view restaurant inside of Holiday inn on Savannah hwy. My mother-in-law's boyfriend suggested that we go there for her birthday. He went on a previous occasion and spoke about the views and the food. So he surprised her for her birthday. My boyfriend and I arrived early to get a table and get a drink from the bar while we waited. They sat us at a table, we had plenty of options because no one was there yet. The manger fixed my drink which was good and there were two other servers waiting on people. It started off nice and everyone seemed friendly, but it went south real fast. My boyfriend went to the car to check on the eta of our birthday girl and I went to the ladies room and left a half of drink sitting on the table. When I came back my drink was poured out by the server and a group was sitting at our table, when I informed the server she made me another drink, but then asked if I was with the group. I said no, but that was our table. She just made my drink and I found another table. I asked for menus and she gave me two paper menus and I asked for one for each guest. The menu was not consistent with the online website menu, I wanted scallops, but they offered more bar food, nothing exciting. The birthday girl arrived and we noticed the dining room was getting full. Our table was skipped over several times and the servers waited on every table that didn't have the same skin color as us. We waited and waited and waited. We spoke to the manager and he informed us that they don't speak English, but when I spoke to her earlier her English was fine to me. The table behind us tried to go to bat for all the tables with different skin colors because him and his wife received their food expeditiously! The 2 couples with the same color of skin as ours walked out after waiting for an hour and being past over. It took us two hours to receive two meals and then the rest of the order came out an additional 30 minutes. The service was so bad ...oh yeah the manager waited on us and took care of us in the end. He apologized and said that he has a lot of work to do. I guess we should have gone to downtown Charleston to eat. The birthday girl didn't mention anything about having fun. I was so embarrassed! We were let down!

Brought our granddaughter for dinner, first table they seated us at was filthy. When we mentioned it, we were told yea we had a banquet today and moved to another table. We ordered soft drinks and they were flat, for dinner we got a couple of appetizers the firecracker shrimp and the crab cakes. The shrimp were fried so hard you couldn't taste shrimp, and the crab cakes though surprisingly were actually made of crab were dried out on the outside and I don't mean fried or crispy I mean like left out too long. Not pleased, in fact please close

Went to eat here for dinner after church with my in- loves. The food was hot and displayed nicely. The restaurant is at the very top of the hotel so the view over the harbor is really nice. The menu is mainly traditional Sunday dinner. I will eat here again when in the mood for this type of food.

Wonderful view from the restaurant! We always come here to eat the breakfast buffet. Thank you for the great customer service as well

Yelp
Great 180 degree views of downtown CHS. Skillet dishes for breakfast were surprisingly delicious! Bonus: Park for free at the Holiday Inn?!?!

Yelp
Kennedy and Justin did an amazing job helping me coordinate a surprise 60th birthday party for my husband whilst on a certain budget and I couldn't thank them enough for such an awesome job of how everything turned out. We also had a day with beautiful weather so our guests were able to enjoy the wonderful views from the restaurant. Family and friends had a great time. Thank you Accomodations via the Holiday Inn where just as good as they also reserved plenty of rooms for my out of state family and friends.

Yelp
We came here for the view and atmosphere. It was a great choice. Tyler was our server and he was fantastic!! He was engaging and had a great sense of humor. We had some drinks and an ice cream sundae. It was wonderful. We would definitely return. Thanks for a wonderful experience!!!

Yelp
No one eats at the restaurant inside a Holiday Inn unless they are staying there. Folks visit Charleston solely for the food and plan vacations around restaurants and bars. The food is limited, expensive, and mediocre. I've had better grocery store pizza, and while the shrimp appetizer had large shrimp, you can tell everything is frozen and not fresh. The tortilla chips that came with the shrimp appetizer were stale. Don't eat here if you can help it. I had an apple pie martini, and it was really good! The seasonal drink special menu has a lot of options for someone who wants a special drink and isn't always sure what to order at a bar. The bar itself has fun characters to talk to, as most hotel bars have random folks traveling through on business. The restaurant side was empty on a Thursday night, and employees can't possibly make money in an empty restaurant. The bar staff were nice though! The view here is quite wonderful and the only draw. If you walk around the restaurant, which is round, you see downtown as well as James Island and West Ashley. The location is convenient if traffic is backed up and you want to stop at a bar for awhile- be careful leaving as traffic moves fast on 17. Come to Harborview for the view, avoiding traffic jams, and maybe a fun conversation. Go elsewhere if you're hungry.

Yelp
Had breakfast with the family. The hostess was very welcoming and complimented us from the moment we walked in. The breakfast potatoes were very tasty and one the best breakfast potatoes I've had. The mommy breakfast burrito was delicious. The fruit in the buffet was delicious and fresh. The bacon crunchy. The view is beautiful! Our waiter, John, was the nicest. Kept our drinks full, smiles on our faces and even offered suggestions of where to visit and eat while on our trip. 10 stars John!

Sherise J.

Yelp
We had a package with our hotel stay with a discount for breakfast. Didn't take a picture of my food since it was buffet. Was greeted by several people before we even sat down. My daughter's burrito was cold even though we didn't wait long on it but our waitress Ashley was right on it. She was very helpful. I had the buffet. It wasn't fancy but the grits were salty, the bacon crispy and the oatmeal was silky smooth. We had a lovely view of the harbor.

Yelp
the service was very slow. we sat waiting for a server to come for about 15 minutes and it was a Tuesday and not busy. the food was ok the only thing that was good was the view. very sad! won't go back. the people that sat by us waiting and finally walked out. Shame on the staff,,,

Yelp
The fish looked like mrs Paul's but not as good. The fries were ok. My wife had the chicken fingers, she said it was ok, looked to burnt to me. The harbor view was really pretty, that's why they got 1star. Don't waste your money on this terrible food!

Yelp
I'm writing my review with the understanding that most partake in the Harborview restaurant for its view of the Ashley river and charleston skyline. Let me advise you that the restaurant is far from palatial, somewhat rundown, and in desperate need of remodeling. Moreover, the historic view does not compensate for the rude and unprofessional service. In particular, Angela, an on-staff waitress assigned to me, was extraordinarily unsuitable and rude. I would have given zero stars if it was possible. Let me enumerate the following: - I ordered with Angela for scrambled eggs and cheese, pancakes, and turkey bacon. She said she didn't think they had turkey bacon despite it being on the menu and offered no other substitute. - Angela delivered the eggs 20+ minutes later, poorly scrambled with a glob of cheese misplaced on the plate. - DespiteI. The fact that I ordered from the kitchen, I watched Angela retrieve three pancakes from the buffet line, place them on my plate, and brought them to me. In disgust, I left to retrieve the check and depart. At the register, Angela, when questioned why my check had wheat toast instead of pancakes, suggested that my bill would be cheaper that way and stated, "whatever, you can do what you want to the other host assisting me." Based on the aforementioned I would have rightfully given a rating of zero stars but was unable

Yelp
Dinner with the family while on vacation. Nice view of the waterway. We may or may not have been here on a slow night but we did arrive later - as in after the normal dinner hour/rush, which may have helped with our service and attention from our server. Our server was top notch, very attentive and did her best to make sure we were happy. We ended up ordering salmon which was very tasty. From what I'm reading in the other reviews, ours was among the better experiences here.

Yelp
My family needed a place to get together for dinner. There were 34 of us. I called and spoke with Justin who put me in touch with Bekah. She set everything up over the phone and through texts. It was so simple. I was amazed how smoothly things went. We had two servers who handled our group with ease. Jo was our waitress and did a great job. Food items ordered ranged from salads, to hamburgers, to entrees. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I am a longtime customer of the restaurant and can say that the food has greatly improved since the new owners bought the Holiday Inn in June. I would recommend the Harborview Restaurant to anyone. Along with a great staff and good food, it has the best view in Charleston and is a great place to dine out for a small or very large group. Thanks for a most enjoyable evening.

Yelp
Great atmosphere I always enjoy coming here. The view is wonderful u can just look and see the water view. Every since jo started she has been the best server.

Yelp
The view is great. The server was excellent. The food was meh. Went here with a co-worker wanted a nice seafood dinner we were both disappointed with the selection and the overall quality.

Yelp
Last night in town and staying at the hotel. Basically our dinner there was by default as our first choice was not open. But like everything else in this town, we were not disappointed. Went up around 5:30ish on a Friday. We were seated promptly and proceeded with drink order, then dinner. Food was delicious and on par with pricing. We both ordered Cajun Blackened Chicken Alfredo. There were a couple of other tables but it was not crowded. The view was absolutely lovely!

Yelp
Stayed at the hotel and gave this place a try- they have breakfast, lunch, HH, and dinner, and they host events, too. With all that going on, I thought our experience would be better. Located on the top floor of the hotel tower overlooking the water, the view is the main draw. Unfortunately, they don't even capitalize on this because the windows are filthy. They desperately need to hire an exterior window washer or consider replacing the glass, and this place could totally be a money-maker. Food was just okay. Menu is very generic, nothing grabbed my attention. We got the she crab soup, which was solid, HH drink prices are low. Service was awkward, felt pressured to order more, but the servers can't possibly make much when they're consistently empty.

Yelp
Disappointing is all I have to say. Food came late. And I had to remind them of our drinks. Their horrible service really put a damper on my moms birthday dinner. I would avoid eating here at all costs. Their menu is very limited and the food is sub par. The only thing they have offer is the beautiful view. I would honestly just order the water that they already give you so that you don't have to wait. The manager so I have a Kia right in her house counting my second a total of $9. I don't even want to give it one star honestly.

Yelp
Where do i start. I only made reservations here because its the fourth of July and wanted to see the fireworks from the top floor restaurant. I requested a window table and was told all of our tables are by the window. We get here and we are not by a window and there is a table right in front of us in front of the window. We waited for our server for 25 mins. Ordered everything all at once to make sure our food comes out in a reasonable timeframe. The food was ok at best but they only had 2 servers for an entire dinning room. The server was apologetic but will never never go back. The rooms were also 250/night and it is a dump!

Yelp
The staff is really nice. Renee & Jonathan are super friendly. They can whip up a decent Irish coffee! The food is good. You are going to get staple meals. It's not a gastropub or southern fusion bistro wine bar. The view is FABULOUS and that my friends is why you would go or your staying at the hotel which happens to be why I was there. Check it out for happy hour or appetizers!

Yelp
Average Hotel restaurant BUT agree with other reviewers that "Jo" is a 10+! Her secret is learning diners first name then treating them like VIP's by calling them "Mr" or "Miss". Hope to be back in Charleston and a must do will be returning here to see Jo for drinks or a mea

Yelp
Air conditioner not working and manager report has been down a few days. At this class it is not reasonable and should have it fixed immediately

Yelp
We came here as a traveling group to see and enjoy Charleston. We Prepaid so we had a very limited menu. They prepared 2 meats, 2 vegetable, salad and 2 deserts. The meats were dry fried chicken and a mystery meat. Everything was so very dry and tasteless. We all were convinced it was prepared and cooked the Day BEFORE!

Yelp
Top of the holiday Inn Hotel with great views. Our waitress, Amie, was kind and helpful. Had drinks and dessert. What a dessert we had too. It was huge! For sure a place to visit for watching sunset and views of water.

Yelp
We tried this restaurant since we were staying at the Holiday Inn. It's a wonderful view from the top of the hotel, overlooking the water. The food was not so good. I had a fried chicken topped salad with Iceberg lettuce that tasted old but not discolored. The cherry tomatoes were shriveled and awful. The chicken pieces on top tasted like your typical bar, frozen chicken fingers. My husband had a cheeseburger (ordered medium) that was over well done and dry. The fries were ok. The cocktails were awesome. I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Yelp
Harborview Restaurant & Lounge is an awesome place to eat good food and get the best view of any restaurant in Charleston. My favorite is the breakfast and lunch buffets. The food is very Lowcountry and home cooked and if you can get as much as you want that is ok with me. Especially with the fried chicken on the lunch buffet you will never walk away hungry. This is a good place to have a slow meal and enjoy the meal. Also good for business meetings. One of my favorite restaurants in Charleston.

Cindi A.

Yelp
The bartender/server did a great job keeping up with everything. Especially sonce,he was covering the whole place by himself. The problem was the food! It wasn't fresh (our meals tasted 'from frozen') Even the breakfast omelets, which we ordered from room service, tasted processed and were served not with hash browns, as stated on the menu, but with some sort of potato tot--the kond we used to het from the school cafeteria, not the good ones you can find now. For breakfast, do yourself a favor and drive a short way down the street to the Waffle House. Twice as good at half, the price.
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
Honestly didn't know what to think about a restaurant in a hotel...but let me tell you, we were not disappointed!! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the limited menu due to Covid. The food was really good. I had the filet and my husband had the Cajun chicken pasta. The filet was cooked perfectly, and had zero fat on it (anyone who knows me, knows that I'm very picky about meat). I snuck a few bites of my husbands pasta, and I would totally get that next time! The view was unbeatable for Charleston! I can't wait to go back and try brunch next time!

Yelp
Beautiful views of the water and Charleston. Had the cheeseburger very good. Waitress was wonderful.

Yelp
As the highest elevation restaurant in all of the Lowcountry, the views from this restaurant's 14th floor are spectacular. (The Marina Variety Store Restaurant, California Dreaming, and Fleet Landing also have great harbor views.) From this height, you can barely make out both the Isle of Palms Lighthouse and the Morris Island Lighthouse in the far distance. You can see North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, and James Island. You can clearly see downtown Charleston as a peninsula where the Ashley and Cooper Rivers converge. We typically do their breakfast buffet (pancakes, sausage, grits, bacon, biscuits, cereals, and the like). It's wholesome but not gourmet or anything. The staff is attentive. The restaurant was remodeled several years ago and feels contemporary. As a word of caution, be careful leaving their parking lot because of heavy, fast moving traffic (especially going toward Charleston).
google avatar

Christine B.

Yelp
Smelled like a dirty gym and the waitresses voice was quite jarring (no offense). Nice view though! Did not stay long enough to eat anything, so consider this a very surface level review.

Yelp
I enjoyed the views & the ambiance but the food was just okay. This restaurant sits on top of the Holiday Inn-Riverview location in Charleston, SC. It's about two miles or less from downtown which is a great location. The hotel & restaurant hosts a lot of events. Parking: There's open parking in the parking lot of the hotel, so you don't have to worry about fighting for a space. Service: I went for dinner & breakfast the next day because I stayed at the hotel. The service each time was definitely reflective of Charleston's charm. They were attentive, pleasant, & always nice. I never had to seek out a server. Food: This is where it gets a little tricky. For dinner I had the penne pasta w/ chicken on top and pub chips as my side. The chicken was very bland and I'm not sure if it was cooked all the way. I ate maybe one or two pieces and then ended up pushing it off to the side. The penne pasta was good. For breakfast, I got food from the buffet. We went up there around 9am (breakfast is 7am to 11am on Saturdays) so I figured 9am would be a great time to still be able to enjoy fresh food coming to the buffet. They ran out of biscuits, but later brought some more. They also had some pancakes which seemed to have some sort of after taste. The grits were disappointing because if southerners know nothing else it's how to make grits. These grits were tough and weren't hot because the cheese I put in them didn't melt. So either they weren't hot or the cheese was cheap or both. Overall, service, ambiance, and the views I enjoyed. The food I did not.

Kurt H.

Yelp
I have to say, this place ROCKS because of Aaron and Jo. Over the top service, great drinks, and good food. Just go to the bar. The view is great, good vibes, and these two are a team that cannot be beat. It is always a pleasure to watch them work, and to relax at the end of a long day in their care. Top notch!!
google avatar

Kent M.

Yelp
We went for the lunch buffet. If you're looking for some great southern cooking with the best view in Charleston go there. Nice variety of entrees and sides and deserts. Fried chicken and beef were real good.
google avatar

Bryan M.

Yelp
The food is decent but the view is much better. If only most of the nearby buildings weren't blocking the view, I would've marked it one notch higher. The service was good. I ordered the Turkey Club and there was plenty of turkey on it, it was just bland turkey. The drink special was a 007 and it was pretty good. While we were there, a nearby couple proposed so the area is definitely scenic and romantic enough for lovers.

Yelp
Yet again, my experience hasn't matched that of others. I like the place just fine and have now been several times. I'm giving 3stars for the food / service (about average) plus 1 for the ambiance which is far above average. Cost is slightly high for the quality but balanced for convenience it's a solid 3.5 to 3.75 experience. If you were expecting a five-star experience atop a fairly old Holiday Inn - you won't be impressed. The deal is, it's a basic Holiday Inn house restaurant but has the view of a true 4+ eatery. My entree was just under $20. Fried flounder plate. It was plenty tasty and well prepared. Probably trucked in and not fresh but it was good. Slaw was good and my slab of cornbread was local authentic. Nothing "omg this is the greatest ever" just genre appropriate. Huge plus: having had surgery today I asked some very specific cooking instructions. My server relayed them perfectly and Cookie didn't bat an eye over it. Just don't come expecting fine dining - it's hotel eats with an amazing view.
google avatar

Julia R.

Yelp
I wish this place could be open air! It is just too stuffy, humid and warm! After a few minutes having drinks with friends, I began to feel very claustrophobic. I feel like this bar area needs a complete overhaul. The drink prices were reasonable, but there wasn't much variety. We ordered nachos, and they had cheese that seemed to be out of a can with wilted lettuce, and basic ingredients. I would skip out on this next time. This place could be a happening spot with updating, and finding a way to get some ventilation in there!

Yelp
This is a great place to stay, disregard all of the bad reviews this place is a great place. The restaurant of course has a great view And the good is very good. The staff is excellent very friendly and bend over backwords helpful. We eate both breakfast And dinner here and left feeling very full. We will come back.

Yelp
I'm an UberEats driver. So here's the backstory: I was at the Harborview restaurant to pick up a delivery order for a virtual restaurant called "George Lopez Tacos". It took some shuffling around, but I eventually got on the right elevator and pressed "R" (which presumably means "rooftop", but I digress). It almost pains me to say this, but I now sorely regret coming off that elevator because what would be right around the corner would be the most disrespectful, rude, and inconsiderate staff member of the whole restaurant: Marcella. How this situation unfolded -- I hadn't even told her this upon meeting her, but I waited about a couple minutes next to the "Please Wait To Be Seated" sign in the right entranceway to the rooftop restaurant to conform to their rules. Despite signaling through eye contact that I needed help to the bartender and a waitress, I finally walked over to the bar to find out where my order was. I was then directed to the counter adjacent to the bar, where Marcella was, which was presumably a cashier's desk. As I arrive, I announced that I was an UberEats courier and I was there to pickup a delivery from customer X. What happened next was interesting: I received practically no response after uttering those words except for a thought "blurb" from Marcella, the woman behind the counter. And before you think I am being unreasonable in these characterizations, hear me out: I worked at a restaurant for almost two years of my life, so I understand that she was busy; she obviously was. Which is why I kept on standing, leaning against the wall and minding my own business -- until the waitress, Marcella, decided to stick her nose into my business and suggest that I sit down. I kindly ignored her request, and told her that I preferred to stay standing. No big deal, right? Wrong. So as she rolled back around from helping one of her customers, I decided to make a comment to the effect of saying most of the customers she's dealt with at this restaurant would probably have sat down, seeing that it is a (supposedly) high-end restaurant and -- I didn't repeat this last part -- generally want everything done for them. In response, Marcella decided that groaning and complaining was the best possible course of action, and as such, moaned that I was making her feel rushed "...because I got a million other things to do". As you can see, this is a totally rude and disrespectful comment coming from somebody who is supposed to be a nice, easy-going waitress who isn't perfect, but should be reasonably kind and accommodating to clients (especially food and drink couriers that increase customer satisfaction by making timely deliveries in a neat and orderly fashion). I rejected this comment by asking what of my demeanor suggested I was rushing her, to which she had no answer, to which she insincerely apologized in a profuse manner, saying "Sorry sir. Please sorry sir." To be honest about this next part, I probably shouldn't have said this last statement, but when she came back around for a third time, I decided to chastise her by basically saying that I had worked at a restaurant for a very long time and never treated someone the way she treated me, I called her rude, and then said "Ok. Rush. Hurry up" while continuing that "I never once said anything to you, so it was totally rude for you to say that I had been rushing you, and then inconsiderately talk about the fact that you're busy -- when I am too -- and making it all about yourself as I waited for the order in a calm, cool and collected manner." She then told me to "Please stop, sir" to which I responded, "I'll keep on going if I want to." To state the obvious, I wasn't perfect in this interaction either. But Marcella was one of the rudest, if not the rudest, restaurant employee I have ever met as a customer. She made it about herself, not taking into consideration that I, too, had been busy with more and more deliveries, and that I had been patient, courteous, and made sure not to say anything to her so that she would not feel rushed at all. It pays to avoid establishments like the Harborview Restaurant.

Yelp
Has hospitality completely died? Terrible service by people that just don't care. Waited 10 minute and was ignored twice by the waiter in the bar. When he finally came over he asked what I needed. Told him I was waiting to be served. He said someone would be by soon. 10 min later I went to him and asked if someone was coming. He said uh-huh. I asked if it would be soon and he said @as soon as she can. She must be busy". The place was empty. When she shows she said that the restaurant was closed due to being slow but she could seat me in the bar with rude guy. No thanks.

Yelp
Probably one of the coolest views of the city but, it is dated and smells like a hotel. Yes I know it is but it smells like dryer sheets and soap. The menu is really poor. More like food you may find at a gas station or a chain restaurant. How could you have this view and suck so bad at your food. Do not be touristy! Tourist want good food too. Do not give them cheep frozen crap! Step it up.

Yelp
My husband and I went to the Harborview due to convince of it being in the same hotel. Frankly, I did not know who my waitress was. Someone took our order, a different person delivered the food, and we had to volunteer to get up and get the check. My order was wrong. No one around to correct it. I attempted to eat it because it was nearly $20 worth. So bland and disgusting we left it all on the table. My husbands dinner was the same way. He typically cleans his plate, but this time, it was too awful to swallow. We made a complaint at the front desk. The management was nice enough to give us 2 free breakfast coupons. We made the second attempt in the am. Same situation. I actually had to walk back into the kitchen to ask for a drink. Save your $20 a meal and go somewhere else. If you're staying at the Holiday Inn, best to walk across the road to Waffle House. Their food is better than this place and half the cost.

Yelp
I'd like to start by saying our server was phenomenal. Her name was Josephin, she was kind courteous and super helpful. Unfortunately the atmosphere didn't quite compete. From the photos the place looks amazing....not quite. The room is bright and there are TVs everywhere, playing commercials and football games. This would be fine but when I look out the window all I see are reflections rather than the beautiful city. Also the Christmas lights (in February) around the windows makes the place look more like a college dorm room and less like somewhere I'd go to pay almost 10 bucks for a salad. I think a little more attention to the details would make this place exponentially better. First dim the lights, create ambiance rather than a cafeteria feel, next replace the Walmart battery powered candles with real ones. Lastly I just want to say I don't want to be a bully or a snob. It just needs a little improvement But this place has a great location, amazing view, and the food was a 7/10. Excited to come back and see Jo!!

Yelp
Very clean and observe guidelines for COVID. The menu was limited but the filet mignon was excellent. Happy hour drinks were great. Would have liked 2 sides. Waitress was terrific.

Yelp
We checked into the hotel late and decided to try eating at this top-floor high rise restaurant, but the kitchen was closed. It was operating as a bar at the time and things were lively. We told our waitress, Jo, that we couldn't drink because we hadn't eaten yet and she took the time to explain about some of the nearby restaurants and even used her phone to give us directions. We really appreciated that. On another morning, we ate breakfast here. The buffet seemed pricey so we ordered the Just One -- one egg, fruit and choice of bread for $6.50. It was good and our service was excellent. Great just for the view. I thought maybe it was a rotating restaurant, but it is not. However, the views are super from anywhere you sit.

Yelp
Staying at the hotel and paid a visit to the upper floor of the hotel which serves as restaurant and lounge. Same menu as room service which has a decent selection of bar bites, appetizers and a dinner for at least most everyone's tastes. Standard fare without anything too unworldly. The quality was good and the meal served as ordered and in a timely fashion. Ambiance is a factor here. Candle light and dim lighting make this a great place to grab a meal. I caught the sun just setting out of view to the west of the lounge area but the views were still fantastic. Service was equally excellent. Attentive but not overbearing. Right in the sweet spot. Won't find exotic delights or delicacies, but for the price, service and views this is a great place to stop and have a meal!

Yelp
Imagine a bar in a Holiday Inn....now put it on the top floor of a 12 story building with a view of the Ashley River and downtown Charleston. Other than the view, there's nothing to set this place apart from any other hotel bar, two beers on tap, mediocre food and average prices. Worth the visit once just to say you did it. I think they have a full restaurant, but I wasn't there for that.

Yelp
The view at this bar is great! It looks right into the city of Charleston and the water. Unfortunately the cocktails are not very good at all. They are watered down and sugary. I would recommend heading to this place for a beer in the afternoon before you head downtown for the night.

Yelp
There is nothing particularly special about the food, traditional buffet breakfast - eggs, potatoes, oatmeal, grits, pancakes, fruit, bagels and pastries. Still tasty though. The customer service was a bit off putting. I was told to call and make a reservation and the man on the phone took it. Well when i arrived the woman at the counter said they don't take reservations for breakfast and continued to make me feel ridiculous for saying i had made one. She tried to seat us in the middle of the room, but the whole appeal of the restaurant, and the reason i made the reservation, was to sit by the window. A very nice man intervened and said he'd take care of it and after a short wait we were seated by the window. The view is what makes it all worth it.
