Originially I planned to go to Lewes Oyster House because I love Oyster and I went there last year, but decided to go before we all head back to NY. But we all went to the beach beforehand and wasn't sure when we were all going to be done and be ready for dinner, so I didn't book a resy for us.
When we got there, it was fully booked and so, I was panicking, because it seems like every other restaurant were below 4 stars and I would hate to have all of our last dinner at a terrible restaurant.
I am not even sure if this was in my bookmark, but finally found Harbour and saw they have a good rating and I am like hopefully they have room for us.
I called and I said we're looking for this many seats and would need a high chair and the hostess said, they don't have high chairs, but can accommodate by letting the stroller be near the table.
I said, I will have to ask and call her back and so I called her back and said, okay, we'll come and be there shortly.
The place has stairway that leads to the restaurant, so just warning anyone who would have trouble getting in due to the steps.
Got there and was immediately greeted by smiling faces, the hostess and perhaps the manager, the guy with the mustache - we saw they had a nice view, but we sat inside and it was still a nice view.
I asked our waiter, Roy what they are known for and he said their scallops, ceviche, and other things.
I ended up getting the ceviche, because he said theirs contained halibut, crab, and shrimp - I love crab and need to get my fix. I saw on the menu, it said it came with wakame and I was picturing the very dark green, almost black seaweed that's great for your health, but when it arrived, it was the seaweed salad and I was pleasantly surprised. I mean, seaweed salad is not really nutritious or healthy like wakame, but I still prefer to eat seaweed salad over wakame, since I only eat it for the health benefits. But this place should not call this wakame, because it's not wakame. Nevertheless, this dish was a winner for me, it was so damn good. My only complaint about this dish is the Crispy Wonton. They should serve it with something not as hard. Like the Crispy Wonton was seriously, crispy - like hurts my tooth sort of crispy.
PEI Mussels were great as well, but I still want more of the ceviche, like I wish I tried this restaurant last year, because I would have came here a lot sooner.
Brisket - not my cup of tea, because I am not really into meat, and plus, I am very picky when it comes to brisket.
Calamari - good, but I wish they put the aioli on the side rather than drizzled already on the dish.
I was really curious about the Hot Crab Dip, but didn't get it because I wasn't sure if it would be too salty and no one else in the party would eat it.
I just want to shout out to the hostess, Lorraine - like she was super nice on the phone and even nicer in person. Like she really made our night. I am so happy that I stumbled on this place, because everyone here, the mustache dude, waiter - Roy, and Lorraine really knows the hospitality industry.
If I come back Lewes another year, I am definitely coming back here again and hopefully Lorraine would still be here. She's such an angel!
