"The newest hotspot at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, the Terrace is a tropical oasis without all the fussiness of resort fine-dining. Shrimp skewers with heirloom tomatoes and confit garlic, grilled peach flatbreads, and a seafood fritto misto (that includes flounder, scallops, shrimp, and calamari) are some of the dynamic — yet culinarily accessible — options on their menu." - Ernest Owens

Nothing beats the feeling of winning! That’s why we gamble . The charm of Atlantic City . I was so excited tonight when I pulled back 26 hundos on the craps table ! I might have shown a tad too much excitement even without liquor , when Lurch MaGee , a security suit came up to me and instead of asking me to keep it down and not be loud . His first words were “ You know you can’t be here” ||Yep , they sent the cooler in on me . Instantly I knew any shred of luck remaining was diffused at that moment . So I left .||The question remains : I came up $4,800 and was cooled before giving it back ? Or - I might have parlayed that into 30 bands . ||Lady Luck , you’re a fickle mistress . ||But you really should avoid the generic lyre of deception that the Hard Kock embodies. It’s always filthy and the staff seem really tense and don’t have a firm grasp of the English language , if you know what I mean . If I wanted to be treated to third world luxuries I’d get back into the missionary work I did in Haiti . So , do yourselves a favor . Much more fun and professionalism can be found at just about all of the other casinos in town . But the Hard Kock is a major let down . At least the Atlantic City one is .

Went to show to see Matteo bocelli was great. |But was was not so great was that our large group of friends that came from out of town to dine and watch a great show went home smelling like casino smoke can’t believe in this day and age that ac casinos still allows smoking. It’s so pathetic and hazardous! . We will never be back and we will tell all our friends to only patronize smoke free casinos Hard rock obviously doesn’t care about its own employees or the public safety of their lives or the customers lives what a disgrace. !!

Positive: Clean, good size room, location, friendly clientele Negative: Yes, booked a non smoking room and room we got smelled of cigarettes. Called but all they did was spray it. Smell still lingered thruout our stay. No water for coffee in rm. when asked about leaving one hour later response was not nonprofessional

We chose the hotel because of its convenience to the Chicago concert||i am giving it a 1 for the following reasons:|1 Showers were cold for entire stay|2 Check in was 20 minutes due to large lines|3 Once we checked in we were told our room would not be available for an hour ( it was already 4:30pm and check in was 3) We chose a less desirable room that we paid for to get in earlier|4 Despite late check in, a modest late check out (12pm instead of 11am) was not granted|5 Fitness center was mediocre|5 No water is in room and getting one liter by room costs $, 10 + $5 fee + 18% gratuity||Positives are location and food Many restaurants and room service are excellent, albeit pricey

Yelp
It's our first time in Atlantic City and Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. I thought I was interesting as soon as you pull up to the parking garage whether you're a guest or casino hopping they have you pay $10. They collect it up front. The parking garage was kind of confusing, especially when trying to figure out where it connects to the casino. Once you walk into the building, it's huge. There is so much to look at. You can easily get your steps for the day and some. Trust me, we were lost a few times. The place itself is modern and clean. Once we found where registration was, I was warmly greeted by someone at the front desk. She was genuinely nice and helpful, telling me of places to go, etc. She was even telling me about a 1st time trip she was taking to the West Coast. Elevators are a little confusing when going to your room. Be sure to look up and read where the elevator goes. We got to our room, and it was breathtaking. The view was beautiful. The room was big and modern. Bed was super comfy for a good night's sleep. We did a little bit of gambling, a lot of slots to choose from. There are so many food places to choose from, I wanted it all. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Went for a fun getaway. The hotel itself was bustling and full of life. Loved the fact there were so many places to eat and secluded areas where you can work virtually from. Our room was a king size. It was clean and the bed was comfy. There's a fridge for you to store your own water and other beverages. A little desk and sofa where you can relax. Bathroom is loaded with plenty of towels and toiletries. Honestly for the price, I was expecting less. Now the hotel is connected to the casino and that's where all the action is. If you're lucky, you can win something. The only downside is that people smoke and leave their cigarettes butts everywhere. I'm not a fan of cigarettes so I would have liked them to clean more often.

Yelp
I've been going to Atlantic City for over 30 years, and I had a few favorite Casinos that I loved playing blackjack in. Fast forward to the present and for a few years I've been going to the Hardrock Casino in Tampa where my sister lives with her family. I loved it. Their dealers and pit bosses all were encouraging and rooting for the player. Excellent vibes. I try to go to Atlantic City either once a week or twice a month and I found out the Hardrock Casino in Atlantic City is Awesome as well. The coolest dealers and Pit employees who seriously interact with the players amazingly. Win or lose I felt welcomed each and every time that I went there. Unlike my other casino that Was my favorite the Hardrock Casino is cleaner newer more table games going all night. The players here are a big step up from the prior Casinos players. Nicer people equals a more enjoyable experience. I was lucky enough today to hear from Helena Penza my new casino hostess at the Hardrock. Ms Penza impressed me right away with her vast knowledge of my play and had all the current information. Unlike my other casino where no matter how long or how much I play , my play is not always recognized. Sad to say. I'm looking forward to a long healthy relationship with Ms Penza and some of the benefits of my blackjack play. I have to add that if you haven't already tried the Hardrock Casino, give them a try and become a true believer like myself.

Yelp
Ok spot for youngins. Gambling here is a hit or miss, but at least the vibe is up- super bright in here compared to some of the other casinos. Great service with drinks, and food options across the place is def all 5 stars! Using your reward points for all the food options is always a plus and they have a Starbucks included in the perk!

Yelp
For a new ownership of the former Taj Mahal Hotel, I had great expectations. The casino felt modern and clean, seeing more late night restaurants were appreciated, but the rooms were underwhelming. My room was dirty with small stains on my bedsheets. I personally feel like there should be 0 stains on white bedsheets as a guest. the dresser with the TV felt a little sticky too. Besides that, the bathroom was clean and the AC worked well. I wasn't sure if the bedsheets were worth complaining or if my standards were too high for Atlantic City.

Yelp
Hardrock Hotel (Piano Bar) When I heard that there was going to be a dueling piano bar event at the Hardrock Hotel, I knew I had to go! With the mild weather, it was easy to walk from one hotel to another on the boardwalk, making it about a 20/25 minute walk over. The atmosphere at this hotel is absolutely electric. There's a much younger crowd and feel, and every spot of the casino appeared packed. We were able to get a table near the piano bar, however, which is exactly what we were looking for. This event was SO MUCH FUN! Both pianists played amazing, sing-along music, and everyone there had a blast. The service, however, could use some adjustment. Though the staff were all very kind, it took about 20-30 minutes to receive drinks and items we ordered. I would definitely go back for an evening (I don't think I'd want to stay overnight with the crowds), but this time maybe order my drink at a different location!

Yelp
Stayed for a week in the North Tower. All experiences are from the viewpoint of room 1651. King studio Overlooked the water and carnival rides You can set your own temp in the room. Had a sizeable working desk Large TV. It was set to hip hop music when I walked in- it was so weird to hear Missy Elliott B track from 1998 lol Garden shower. Felt so goood! Comes with shower gel, lotion, facial tissue, shampoo, conditioner Coffee maker in room Mini refrigerator. This kept everything really cold, couldn't figure out how to lower the temp NO MICROWAVE Ironing board, iron, Safe, Alarm clock Daily housekeeping services This room was comfortable. It sits on an angle, so you can def tell people sleep on 1 particular side Blackout curtains Free Wifi EVERY SINGLE TIME, when I stepped out of the elevator for my floor it smelled SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! Refreshing smell, I had no idea what it was or where it came from but it made you feel good! The North Tower is only accessible from the 2nd floor. Get off the elevators then head "straight" across to the "next building". Take those elevators to get into the North Tower rooms ----- Overall hotel was lively! Park on the 2nd floor garage for immediate access into the casino/hotel. $20 per day for non members Check it is on the 1st floor Most quick eateries are on the 2nd floor Casino on 1st. Large, clean, bright floor Elevators were a little weird, You HAVE to make sure you're on the right elevator to access certain floors within the SOUTH Tower and North Pool is on the 4th floor Gym opens at 730a I believe Lobby Bar is open until about midnight. They had amazing bands play. I think THRICE was the band on Thursday and they did great covers of 80-Y2K songs There was a dueling piano event also, they were just okay Alot of cool musical artifacts to see throughout the casino/hotel My first time here, I'd def come back!

Yelp
I don't even know where to begin .. The decor of the place is stunning and the memorabilia is awesome , so much history . The rooms are so basic I was honestly disappointed, I expected something a bit more upscale . The parking situation is ridiculous and very confusing .. Bell service is a joke :( The restaurants open at 5pm and close at 10pm , that is not an acceptable time frame if you want to go to a fine dining experience. we wanted to go to the steakhouse but out other plans interfere with the time and the restaurant wasn't open late enough . They should be open till at least midnight I think. The Hard Rock Cafe is open late but is not fine dining and the staff is a bit rude , we were there Friday and Saturday and both days were not good experiences .. The only thing that was really amazing was their private events rooms , that is awesome but some of the staff is also very rude .. I guess they need better people or better staff training . The bathrooms are very clean .

Yelp
I guess as one of the newer establishments, this is the new center of Atlantic City. Hadn't been here in 35 years since I was a young bank analyst on a deal for the old Trump Taj Mahal which was in the very same spot as this hotel. I can only compare this hotel to Vegas since I am an East Coaster, but the casino and gambling areas looked busy and many of the places like Sugar Factory ( in the Paris in Vegas) . I had all the "people watching" you could ask for if you like "Jersey shore" viewing with ladies with punk poodles, matching pink lipstick and stripper dress attire walking amongst young girls in town for a volleyball regional event. Don't get me wrong. Love this stuff. I used to stay at the old Hard Rock in Vegas before it was raised. In comparison the rooms seem newer, and while the music theme is there, it seems to be muted by the mere masses of people in the casino area. Blackjack tables started at $15 and seats were easy to be found. On the casino floor I guess what repulsed me is people walking off the boardwalk and onto the casino floor using the bathrooms and then stealing candy from one of the stores. Maybe a lack of safety is what I felt compared to Vegas. I see that this the new hub of live performances for yesteryear's music acts like Motley Crue and others, so the place seems to be thriving. The theater and old memorabilia that Hard Rock's are known for seemed to have been lost in this location compared to the old one in Vegas where I saw residencies for people like Santana. Up on the second floor where shopping and more upscale nicer eateries are located did I get a more at ease feel. This is probably where I'd find myself if I came back here for a show. Ironically, a few hours later I found myself flying from Philly to the west coast sitting amongst a bunch of women headed to Vegas for a Divorce/Birthday party. When I asked them "why not Atlantic City, its closer", the lady looked at me and said "Gross" and went back to watching "Hangover". Oh well!

Royce L.

Yelp
So I didn't stay here but I came to see a show here. Modern hotel as expected with lots of music memorabilia scattered throughout the lobby floor. The casino seemed nice and there's also a buffet here as well, which is rare on the boardwalk hotels these days. I didn't stay here so I don't know how the rooms are overall nice hotel. Its close to a lot of restaurants, shopping, Steel Pier etc off of the boardwalk.

Yelp
Drive down from NY for my birthday on Friday. Had a great time. The room was located on the North tower...still trying to figure out who has the best views. Room faced the back of the city, no oceanfront view. But still nice to see the city lit up at night. The room was huge. Loved the layout. Casino as always lit! Played blackjack for the 1st time and walked away happy I didn't lose all my money. Hotel & casino are always clean. Staff at the tables are always friendly.

Lisa L.

Yelp
My $12 cocktail from the buffet which had cold food. Hope we don't get sick. Can't check into room until4pm- why so late?

Maria L.

Yelp
Came here to see a MGK concert at Etess arena! We were able to check in early and we had lovely customer service from Rodalyn. She was incredibly helpful and could answer all of our questions. Had an awesome room on the 39th floor-- beautiful view of the ocean. Room service was awesome late night but there are tons of restaurants on site too! We went to a Japanese restaurant called Kuro for dinner before our show. The only downside for me about this hotel is that I'm not a smoker and they have smoking allowed in casino area and on various floors. No Bueno. All and all, this hotel was convenient because the show was here and has smaller venue so the show felt more intimate-- would see another show here again.

Perez T.

Yelp
This hotel/casino boasts breathtaking views overlooking Atlantic City. Nestled between the ocean and the bustling energy of the city, it provides a tranquil oasis for those seeking a peaceful getaway. During my stay, I found the ambiance to be inviting and the surroundings serene, providing a relaxing atmosphere to unwind. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, with amenities catering to the needs of both leisure and business travelers. While the hotel itself offered a quiet and enjoyable experience, it's worth noting that the casino allows smoking indoors. This policy may be a consideration for guests sensitive to smoke or seeking a smoke-free environment. Despite this, the allure of the panoramic views of Atlantic City from various vantage points within the hotel was truly captivating.

Brett R.

Yelp
The rooms were nice and clean. Enjoyed playing some blackjack even though didn't have any winnings. One complaint is they used cheap toilet paper in the rooms. Felt like a brown paper bad. I thought the Hard Rock Cafe was a little over priced for what we received. I understand it's a resort and higher costs but I should get my money's worth. Overall liked the property. Will be back.

Yelp
Arrived in town for a business show event at the Hard Rock. Everyone was really nice, open and helpful during my stay. Non smoking wasn't available day 1 but as a courtesy they upgraded me for my stay wow. On brand with the name of the hotel there was a live band rocking out at bar and stage area by the lobby. The energy and vibe was consistently positive and electric my peers and I had a great time. We had a little bit of wait for black Jack Tuesday night which felt odd given the volume of people in town for the week long convention center event but I'm sure the casino had its reasons. You certainly won't regret staying here. (Two tips: my stay would easily have been a 5 except for a few items that made for a slight inconvenience. SHUTTLE INFO: I asked what time the shuttle arrived but the front desk was unaware of the Atlantic City convention center event and said there wasn't one available only to drive over to ACC and find that there was a daily running shuttle to the Hard Rock. Solution: Prep the front desk of events and this info ahead. EV PARKING: day 1 the (2) EV slots at self parking were occupied by users not using the slots(??); day 2 & 3 the (2) EV slots were occupied by 2 non-EV vehicles. It's one thing if there legitimately occupied in use but what is the purpose of providing this complimentary service if a guest EV user can't access it? I think part of the problem is that the EV parking is in a coveted area next to the handicap spots closest to hotel entry for 2nd floor. Solution: I am not advocating towing and/or ticketing non-EV vehicles or EVs not using the charger but perhaps relocating the chargers to a geographically undesirable location within self parking to allow users who need a quick charge to use it. I couldn't care less whether it's close or faraway from the entrance just be available. I think this fixes a sticking point and ensures a better customer experience for future guest)

Michael N.

Yelp
First time here since Trump vacated the premises and the supernaturally tacky Taj Mahal became the Hard Rock. It's a rock and roll casino so lots of Spanxed wannabees praying for lady luck, free bourbon and their next Marlboro. What really sets this place apart in the nonpareil pre-concert people watching. Came for the Doobie Brothers and boy did I get an eyeful. The Doobies peaked in 1978 and apparently so did most of their fans. A sea of latter day groupies whose thigh high boots looked more like bloated sausage casings begging for relief. The air guitars of yesteryear are now given over to canes, walkers and tons of concert regalia from decades past. Where have you gone Jethro Tull? The Soft Rock Hotel and Casino is coming soon -- just in time for a fully immersive Meat Loaf tribute and The Lionel Richie Experience. As Pete Townsend once said, long live rock, be it dead or alive. Four stars.

Tom M.

Yelp
One of the best AC casinos. This place is lively and loud but lots of fun. My room was perfect. Complete with a living room with an ocean view, a king size bed and a full and half bath. Nice selection of restaurants and fast food. I enjoyed my diner in the Unity lounge. I enjoyed my stay and will be back.

Liz R.

Yelp
The Hard Rock pleasantly surprised me for a few reasons: - HUGE variety of both table games a slots - FUN & EXCITING ambiance on the casino floor - FRIENDLY dealers - Reasonable table minimums on the weekend - LIVELY entertainment - Diverse variety of dining options I typically stay and gamble on the Marina side but Hard Rock may give me a reason to venture out more based on this experience!

Annie N.

Yelp
I haven't played at Hard Rock in years and now I remember why. Their hotel rooms are so outdated with old furniture with stains, the rooms aren't even clean to my liking. Their suites are mediocre and gross and it reminds me of a dirty motel. They make so much money but they don't have the funds to renovate it to be nicer? I like to play slots until I'm tired, I go up to the rooms to rest. Their rooms aren't comfortable; it gives me anxiety because of how dirty it is! I'd rather spend my money at Ocean Casino and get comp'd better suites and be treated better over there being a high roller. Anyway, I played 1 night and built up my status and they gave me a complimentary suite with a connected room. I amhighly disappointed and I would never bring my kids to stay here ever again. The smell of mildew in HR rooms makes me want to throw up. I'll take my business elsewhere until they renovate their rooms. Definitely not worth it to play and have a high chance to lose money here, there's nothing to get in return except for nasty rooms.

Enna J.

Yelp
Friendly staff and great memorabilia. However the lobby area reeked of cigarette smoke.

Indy S.

Yelp
Walking in here, you'd never know this was a non-smoking casino. I'm sorry, this place has so much potential but the place wreaks of cigarette smoke. Walking in here with young children, there should be some disclosure. This place has so much potential, but cant get past the smoke. Walked into Tropicana and it smells clean!

Rich M.

Yelp
We recently stayed at this hotel/casino Sunday night, and Monday night in October. The hotel is a little complicated to navigate, one of the things I wish I had received was a map of the property. The room itself was located in the south tower. We selected a king ocean view room and it did not disappoint. Although we were only on the 21st floor, the view of the ocean and casinos to the south was spectacular The room had a sofa, table and chairs, beautiful king size bed. I understand hotels charge, exorbitant extra fees, like resort fees, occupancy taxes, plus a New Jersey occupancy tax so the extra fees equaled another night. We did eat at Council Oaks, steak and seafood House, which was outstanding. We also had a few meals at some of the lesser restaurants in the food court area. The casino itself was not crowded. The only drawback which I had forgotten was smoking, is allowed inside the casinos, which can certainly put a damper on your evening or day if you are a non-smoker, other than that, the hard rock hotel, and casino was better than I had expected, and would not hesitate to come back maybe catch a headliner.

Mike R.

Yelp
The hotel room was clean and nicely laid out. The shower water was hot, but can only leave 2 stars because the curtains couldn't be closed tightly and it was impossible to get the room dark. There was a couch in front of the curtain... also the thermostat only went down to 65, which still feels warm at night. Needless to say, after two nights I still didn't sleep well. I was there for work and didn't bother with the casino.

Ashley H.

Yelp
Came to AC for the first time this past weekend. This was just one of the caisnos we visited and probably the one i was looking forward to the most. However, the hype didn't do it for me. The staff was not as friendly in this casino as the were in other properties. The only interesting thing here was the photo opportunities with all the memorabilia.

Susan L.

Yelp
Rude staff at the hotel act like you're an idiot and a nuisance for asking questions even though you just spent $500 on a room. It seemed clear the people working here wish they didn't. I won't be back.

Tim S.

Yelp
My stay at the Hard Rock was horrible. The room smelled like a dump . Crusty white dried stuff on the faucets . I was trying to treat my mother in law to a trip to Atlantic City . Hard Rock made me look bad . She won't even talk to me now . She thinks I'm a schlub for booking with this place . And then I give her a hundred to go play some slots . Security escorts her out of the building for taking too long in the bathroom they said . This list goes on . I won't even go to the Hard Rocks in Florida after this escapade .

Howard G.

Yelp
The Atlantic City Hard Rock Hotel and Casino sent me an email today about buying and giving their gift cards as presents this holiday season. I see a loophole for those who want to avoid paying credit card cash advance fees at the casino or using one's cash advance limit on their personal credit cards, as the gift cards can be purchased with the use of one's own credit card. According to the casino's advertisement, the gift cards can be purchased in increments of up to $500, there's no fee, can be purchased with a credit card and they can be redeemed for "free play". It's all right there in the picture I posted of the email I received from them. The Florida Seminole Hard Rock Hotels and Casino in Tampa and Hollywood both closed this loophole about one year ago when I reported the same thing could be done. Good luck!

Tara N.

Yelp
We have stayed at the Hard Rock before and had a really great stay. This time it was just ok. We checked in and went to our room. We had fairly nice view. Part ocean, part parking lot but at least we saw the ocean. We got all unpacked and started to relax. I turned on the TV and there were 2 big black lines thru it so it was hard to see the actual show. We called maintenance and they were up within 15 mins. He said he had to go get something and would be back. He came right back and tried to fix it to no avail. He came back with a new TV but couldn't get it sync and didn't know how long it would be on the phone with the cable company. My husband called the front desk to see if we could switch our room to which they said they could accommodate us. Now, maybe this is just the ex Hotel Manager in me but if I had to change someone's room due to our issue, I would always give them an upgrade or at the very least a better view. We got a higher floor with a better view of the parking lot and NO view of the ocean whatsoever. On the plus side, the casino, the floors and all around the casino are extremely clean. The clean crew are constantly out cleaning, even at 5 in the morning. The maintenance man was very nice and was very sorry he couldn't fix TV and came to our room in a timely manner. We ate at The Hard Rock Cafe. It was ok, but very overpriced. 43.00 for a basic steak. The Chart House has Filet for cheaper. All in all, it was mediocre at best.

Lynn H.

Yelp
Had a good time at the hotel. service was good and the casino was not too smoky. Took ten minutes to get drinks brought to where we were gambling once ordered. Had issues with the valet. On Saturday they lost our car and we were late for our tee time. Sunday they lost our keys and car and we had to speed to the airport to make our flight. multiple people were having the same issue. I have never had to wait an hour for them to find my car before. I would stay again but would definitely self park. They clearly had a systemic issue going on.

Karl M.

Yelp
Great casino room was good staff was super helpful wonderful concert arena overall an excellent place

Sojourner T.

Yelp
Positives: Room/bathroom were very clean, minimalist but effective, very quiet for a good night's sleep, TV doesn't have a lot of cable type channels but does have Chromecast, no writing paper or pens. Negatives: BEWARE THE SELF-PARKING!! There are no parking space numbers & apparently there's an "old section" & "new section" of the garage building- it took me 25 minutes walking around both in 90 degree heat trying to find my car- very disorienting & no one there to help even though there's a charge to park even here. C'mon Hard Rock- there has GOT to be a better way than "color coding" the levels which is next to useless. And that's the thing- there's a charge for almost everything (even checking out via your TV...what?!) so watch your nickels & dimes carefully.

Yelp
This hotel and casino has taken over the space that the Trump Taj Mahal occupied before it became bankrupt. I could easily tell from the outer facade that this used to be the Taj Mahal. However, the lobby has been completely renovated and looks gorgeous. A design of a giant guitar is on the ceiling and the lobby is filled with rock and roll memorabilia. Even if you are not staying here, I recommend going inside just to take a look. Aside from the hotel and casino areas, there are also over 10 different restaurant and food options inside. Aside from the usual Hard Rock Cafe serving typical bar food, you 'll find Italian, sushi, a Starbucks, lounges, and even a location of the popular Sugar Factory. Overall, the Hard Rock is a great choice if you want to stay at a nice hotel on the boardwalk.

Yelp
I've stayed here twice now, and the rooms are really nice. The view is great and there's lots of room to spread out. Both times checking in was nice and smooth, even though the layout of the lobby is a little weird. Since this is a newer property, a lot of the amenities are nice. Valet is also very smooth and efficient. The property itself is nice and big and has lots of stuff going on. We really like the Legends VIP Lounge if you are able to get in. They have the menu posted outside so you can see what they are serving before you go in. I recommend going for dinner as that is the most bang for your buck. One time we just happened to go when they had extra lobsters, so that was a nice surprise. But even the staff was surprised, so I wouldn't bank on that. Property is a decent location on the boardwalk, depending on where you want to go. You could park here for the weekend and walk up and down the boardwalk if needed. We tried not to move the car if we could help it. Getting in and out of the building isn't too bad. We've also seen a show here which was enjoyable. We also had a dining credit that we were able to burn at the Noodle Bar. I'd recommend staying here, but if it's your first time to Atlantic City, just check the hotel in relation to the other stuff you want to do, since it's not the most convenient spot for everything on the boardwalk.

Yelp
My name is Shahla Ahmedov, I just wanted to share my experience with my host, Ramon Duarte. I find it hard to put into words how generous, gentle, and respectful he is. Every time I call, he's ready to assist, and whenever I visit the casino, he welcomes me with open arms. Ramon Duarte is a truly honest and kind individual. HardRock is fortunate to have such a remarkable host. I have been going to casinos for 15 years as a high roller and VIP player with the highest card status. In all that time, I have never encountered a host as exceptional as Ramon Duarte. I have switched hosts multiple times before, with my last host being John Gunnels. Unfortunately, my interactions with him were limited to phone calls only; he was never available to meet in person, even when I requested it. His response to my requests to meet was always, "Why do you want to see me? We are fine talking over the phone." This lack of personal touch and welcome was disheartening and embarrassing. Contrary to that experience, Ramon Duarte always makes me feel valued and respected. He ensures that my visits to the casino are positive experiences, even if I happen to lose money. His welcoming nature and genuine care make a significant difference. HardRock is truly lucky to have someone like Ramon Duarte on their team. Thank you so much!

Yelp
Recent renovations has made this establishment sparkling new. There are several shops and food options at the new Hard Rock. If you aren't staying here, it is still worth coming here to check out the cool theming across the entire resort. The gaming floor is huge and gaudy in a good way. This place is on the up and up.

Yelp
Went with my inlaws and husband from 6/10 through 6/13. Here is our experience, and yes, it's going to be a long one. 6/10 1. We have about a 20-minute wait in line to check in and get keys to our room. Our luggage was taken by a bellhop outside and will be delivered to our room shortly. 2. We get to our rooms and my inlaws go in theirs. The keys don't work for ours (they are electronic keycards you swipe at the door), so my FIL goes to get another set. 3. He returns, but keycards still don't work. So my husband and I wait in the room after the long drive. 4. The bellhop comes up with our luggage and talks to us. He goes to get another set of keycards. They still don't work. 5. Husband and I are stuck in our room for 3+ hours cause we can't leave (as we can't get back in). 6. My inlaws head to the front desk to complain. 7. A locksmith comes up at 2:50 pm and looks at the door. Says the door needs recalibrating but he can't do it because he is clocking out. We need to wait for the locksmith who clocks in at 3 pm but will take her another hour to make rounds. 8. Inlaws are furious now. My husband and I resigned ourselves to not leaving our room. 9. At 4 pm my husband calls the front desk, who sends the new locksmith up. 10. The lady locksmith looks at the door and says she has no idea why it isn't working (their main "skeleton" keys all work, but no electronic keys work). 11. After 4+ hours of being unable to leave our room as a couple (we could do it one at a time) and 6 sets of keycards, the front desk FINALLY upgraded our room to another pair for us. But the fun isn't over yet! 12. No bellhop was sent to take our luggage. My inlaws are in their 70s, and dragging everything is too much for them. So my FIL takes off the items on a push table left outside our first rooms and puts our luggage on top of that to take to the elevator. We get to our new rooms, and yay! The keycards work! Except the one phone in the room is completely dead, the heavy metal dial in the bathtub keeps falling off easily, there is a nasty cigarette burn in the carpet next to the bed, and a section of wallpaper is coming off from the wall. Eh, I'll take it! Normally that would have me give this a 3/5 but there was something else that happened that upset me even more. They emphasize recycling and keeping the areas clean all around the hotel and outside on the Boardwalk. I'm all for that as I do my best to recycle. I see receptacles in the hotel on the first and second floors for recycling, and there are even more on the Boardwalk. We had used many recyclable items during our stay, so I collected them in a large bag and was going to deal with them before we left. So I asked a housekeeping worker where to recycle them, and she told me they don't. They throw the recycling out with the trash. I was confused. She said she didn't understand why, but I thanked her and brought the recycling home to recycle it here. So are the receptacles fake then? Shirts and signs all over the hotel about recycling to save the planet, and the hotel itself doesn't recycle? Sad. Overall, my husband and I won't be returning. The staff at the front desk and housekeeping did all they could to assist and gave my inlaws a discount when we checked out.

Yelp
As a typical Borgata-goer, I have wanted to check out Hard rock for a while, & I am glad I did. Overall, we had a pleasant experience here, despite the little things in the room that were damaged & needed fixing. The manager reached out to make it right which was nice. The room seemed really far from everything.(We were in the North tower, & did self-park) I just feel like we kept getting lost & going the long way to get where we needed to go. On a positive note, I really liked all the memorabilia they had, & the casino, lobby & hotel was very clean & well kept. Hard rock felt BIG. My day at the spa was delightful. I had a massage w/Anthony & felt it was a lovely experience. I took the time to enjoy the spa afterwards as well. The staff there were very friendly, informative & accommodating. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
J just wanted to share that this Hard Rock Hotel and casino is an amazing place it's very clean and very ease to navigate thru as there is sings every where you go telling you where to go if your looking for a specific thing i also want to thank the Hard Rock Hoel Staff for making yesterdays evening pitbul show possible and I also would like to thank the security guards from the bottom for the endless work they do to make sure the event was a safe one. I really wish more places took took security very seriously just like when they do when they have events at the hard rock hotel.

Yelp
Overall, my stay was mixed: The positives: (1) it seemed to be clean; (2) there were well-placed electrical outlets throughout the room; (3) there were bedside tables and lights on both sides of the bed; (4) there was free, basic wifi that worked adequately throughout the hotel, including in the fitness center; (5) there was a complimentary basic coffee/tea machine in the room along with a mini fridge; (6) there was a large fitness center with multiple treadmills, ellipticals, cycling machines (though no Peloton), weight machines, weight benches, and free weights*; (7) there was ample counter space in bathroom; and (8) it is located on the Atlantic City boardwalk. The negatives: (1) there was a strange scent in the room, likely the smoke from the casino smokers coming up through the vents, even though I was on a non-smoking floor; (2) there were no toiletries (e.g., shower cap, q-tips, cotton balls) other than shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, bar soap, and hair dryer; (3) there was no vent fan in bathroom; (4) the TV had a poor cable connection, so the picture was not syncing with the audio and at certain points the entire thing went blank; (5) the HVAC seemed to turn itself off even when taken off of the "Auto" setting; and (6) there was no water-bottle filler station available in accessible location or complimentary filtered/bottled water--the only water-bottle filler station was in the fitness center, but because of the fitness center's restrictive hours, water was not always available. The staff generally exceeded my expectations. Because casinos are designed to keep you ensnared, I relied on the security guards near the guest elevator bank to point me in the right direction nearly every time I left my room, and they did so in a friendly manner. Additionally, the server in one of the casino bars filled up my reusable water bottles before he closed out our tab when I noted that the water-bottle filler station was closed for the evening. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again because the smoky room aggravated my allergies, making it difficult to sleep/relax. *However, the fitness center was only accessible through the spa, so tied to the spa's operating hours, which meant that the hours were quite restrictive (e.g., Wednesday 11AM-6PM, Thursday 8AM-6PM, and Friday 7AM-7PM), so I could not work out daily.

Yelp
It's ok. Fun place bc of all the memorabilia and they do have a good variety of table and slots. We usually play blackjack and roulette. Dealers were ok; some fun others hard to crack a smile lol. They do comp you more quickly for some things, but then add on all these hotel fees for your hotel comp. Food comps could be better. It says resort fee applies when you book a comp and then they charge it again at the desk plus taxes and other fees, she told me the online charges were 'other' fees. Ok but why does it say RESORT FEE on my receipt?? Little odd. I'm done to pay some fees but a $25 resort fee twice? Did not win here both times we came, so we are going back to Borgata next time unless hard rock sends some crazy comps.

Yelp
Amazing!!!! Stayed 3 nights in a beautiful suite that was very clean and well taken care of for sure !!! I always stay here when visiting AC and we are never disappointed. The staff is always wonderful and accommodating from the front desk to the folks cleaning your room. Really great. Had the most amazing dinner at IL Mulino the service was like no other, many table side people to tend to every need. The food was absolutely delicious no complaints here!! Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant! Highly, highly recommend this entire experience!!!!

Yelp
We booked a complimentary suite a hardrock hotel 10 days in advance. Check in begins at 4pm.We checked in at 4:05pm and was informed to wait as no cleaned suite was available. We waited as instructed by front desk. Returned back after walking around with luggage at 5:30pm. Still, no suite was cleaned or available and was again told to wait. Suggested to front desk of a casino credit due to the inconvenience of waiting more than the time we have already had. No concern by staffed front desk to offer a casino credit for the inconvenience experienced. This type of service is unacceptable as we had to take the regular complimentary king size room in fear that that would become unavailable. I'm given hardrock this "not good" review because this was not good on their part. Our suite should have been waiting for us at check in until we cancelled and was not handled correctly. Terrible on Hard rock Hotel...

Yelp
Little something for everyone at this casino. Perhaps the bright spot in the arm pit of New Jersey. Ah c'mon... let's just tell it like it is. Street side of this hotel is a little questionable but on the boardwalk side and the giant Ferris wheel and Atlantic Ocean.... A wee bit more picturesque. However, back to the hotel... scored an AMAZING deal on hotel tonight app- parking available for decent price for an overnight stay. A variety of restaurants and "food court" type vendors. Prices a lil inflated so plan accordingly. This is a casino so be prepared to maneuver around gamblers who smoke. This hotel boasts some Of the coolest memorabilia for all music lovers. Every level of this guitar shaped hotel/casino has something to gaze upon. There is music venue that has some of the coolest musicians playing to a moderate size crowd- adds to the personal vibe. Was lucky enough y to see GnR here last September. If you feel the need to come to the Jersey Shore.... Probably one of the coolest places to do a walk through- especially if you're a music lover.

Yelp
The casino here is large, and updated. The games looked modern and there were plenty to play. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. I was with my brother, who uses a wheelchair, and found it difficult to maneuver and find exits off of the casino floor. My review is only based on the casino as I have never stayed here (hint, hint...maybe a comp night, lol). Because of trouble finding ramps, I have reduced my rating one star. I can say I reached out to Guest Relations and they were very responsive, and continue to work on making the Hard Rock Casino ADA friendly. Hope to return soon! Lots of fun!
