The Best Espresso Martinis in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"The Waldorf Astoria is always topping its own luxury bar offerings, and the reimagined Hard Shake brings an inventive cocktail list that won’t be forgotten anytime soon. The former Skybar now invites visitors into a dark and romantic Art Deco interior, perfect for enjoying strong and caffeinated martinis. Buckle in for a Bullet Train, an amped-up blend of reposado tequila, espresso concentrate, espresso liqueur, and a sweet dash of Angostura cocoa bitters to complement the agave. Gold chocolate coffee beans garnish a rocks glass, making for an elegant presentation." - Jennifer Smith

The Hottest New Bars in Las Vegas, May 2025 | Eater Vegas

"One of Las Vegas’s best bars for taking in views of the Las Vegas Strip skyline got a snazzy redesign and a new theme. The Waldorf Astoria replaced its Skybar on the 23rd floor with Hard Shake. While the space keeps its panoramic windows overlooking Las Vegas Boulevard, it gets a new Art Deco-style aesthetic with a marbled dark stone bar and a gold light fixture that casts a warm, moody glow over the space. The tea lounge also got a redesign, with the teal-enrobed Peacock Alley serving afternoon tea service." - Janna Karel

The Biggest Las Vegas Restaurant Openings in March 2025 | Eater Vegas

"A high-floor lounge that has been reimagined from its previous, brighter incarnation into a sleek, softly lit space with marbled stone and Art Deco touches; it offers panoramic Strip skyline views and an elegant cocktail and Champagne program, while an adjacent 23rd-floor tea lounge features a feather-shaped bar and serves tea with dainty sandwiches, scones, and pastries in a cream-and-teal setting." - Janna Karel

A Sky-High Cocktail Bar in Las Vegas Gets a Stunning Redesign | Eater Vegas

"A 23rd-floor cocktail destination with an Art Deco–style aesthetic, the space features a marbled dark stone bar and a gold light fixture that casts a warm, moody glow. The Rockwell Group led the redesign and "did away with the brightly lit white walls with cracked craters in the wall that look like Hulk’s fists left them there." The menu was redesigned with new cocktails like the Katana — a blend of Japanese whiskey and scotch with pecan bitters — and a late-night menu that features honey shrimp with candied walnuts. Positioned for views of Las Vegas Boulevard, it serves martinis for imbibers gazing out over the Strip. Hours are 6 p.m. to midnight Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. The venue is open now." - Janna Karel

November 2025: My husband and I went to Hard Shake to celebrate our anniversary with a few cocktails. I chose Hard Shake because the photos I saw online looked amazing and honestly, my experience matched what I saw! The bartender was amazingly talented- we both enjoyed our cocktails and we really enjoyed sitting at the bar! The bar is beautiful. And we loved the kettle chips and olives that were served, we even asked for seconds and thirds. Also the city views are stunning!

Hard Shake at Waldorf Astoria is a sleek, sky-high cocktail lounge that marries precision mixology with dramatic design. Perched 23 floors above the Strip, its moody Art Deco atmosphere, creative drinks (like the Katana), and elevated bites make it perfect for pre-dinner sips or late-night revelry. I love the view and ambiance. The bar menu, although limited, attempted to cater to our late night cravings. Out of the variety we ordered, my favourite was the Honey Shrimp and the creme brûlée. Ashiana was a lovely host.

We checked this place out on a recent guys trip and had an awesome experience. The dim-lit lighting sets a cool vibe. The views of the strip at night are amazing. We had a 9:30 reservation, so it was perfect for viewing the strip. We didn’t have a window table, but it was still a good view. The drinks were pricey, but it’s Vegas and they come with a view. The mini-chocolate martini and the Old Neon Nostalgia (cherry cola old fashioned) cocktails were excellent. Definitely worth checking out.

The Hard Shake, formally known as the SkyBar has been an incredible hidden gem in Las Vegas. Situated on the 23rd floor of The Waldorf Astoria, it is without a doubt the venue with the most unparalleled views of The Strip. Experienced through the massive floor to ceiling windows, you feel like a bird flying through the City. First and foremost, the staff and level of service here are absolutely world class. Starting with the three hostesses (Kamaria, Monica & Aleggra), they will always greet you with a pleasant smile and they accommodate the most discerning guests; always making sure your experience at Hard Shake is elevated. You can expect Forbes level customer service from all members of the wait-staff. Marie, Danielle, Martha, and Anthony will know your drink of preference before you even sit down but will also keep an open mind if you’re feeling adventurous. I recently celebrated a birthday here and the entire team at Hard Shake was able to assist with preparation for a surprise that was timed flawlessly. On a final note, order a Sazerac cocktail (not on menu), by far best drink I’ve ever had and I’ve had it all throughout the country.

EXCELLENT COCKTAILS My wife and I dropped by here an Saturday evening in MAY 2025. It was quite crowded but we got seated immediately. There is a nice choice of cocktails in the menu. Probably something you would like to. The decor is smart and minimalistic. And the views are astonishing down the Strip north and south. Definitely a place to go for a cocktail when you are in Las Vegas.

Our reservation was at 630, we were seated shortly after due to a private event wrapping up. Our hostess seated us by the window, as requested when the reservation was made. Our server Danielle came shortly after with some menus, let us know she’d be back shortly. We got comfortable and got to take in the view - best seat in the house. Our drinks came with house made salt and vinegar chips and olives, delicious! Our cocktails were nothing short of amazing, we had the cherry old fashioned, the gin and tonic with a twist, and the espresso martini - all of them were perfectly balanced and it made it hard not to order more! We ended up getting french fries, really good and the truffle wasn’t overpowering, which we enjoyed! The hummus came with the second order of drinks and it did not disappoint - the fresh veggies were a hit and the naan/pita was also really good. The only slight complaint is that I got a splinter from the little wooden utensils provided, I ended up going back to the room once we left and was able to get it removed! The experience was lovely, thank you!

Google
I had the Shogun, a sweet gin cocktail served in a tea cup—such a fun touch and really tasty. Also tried the Harmony, another gin-based drink that’s a bit more bitter but still really good. Loved the vibe here. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re into good cocktails and a nice view.

Yelp
If you're looking for a cocktail bar that lets you escape the chaos of the Strip without actually leaving it, Hard Shake at the Waldorf Astoria delivers that balance with style. Tucked away on the 23rd floor, it's a place where the energy of Las Vegas still pulses, but in a more refined, elevated way--literally and figuratively. The moment you step inside, the dark, dramatic decor sets the tone. Curved metallic finishes on the ceiling, plush seating, and ambient lighting all work together to create a moody yet inviting vibe. Hip music plays just loud enough to remind you you're in Vegas, but soft enough to let conversations linger. It's a place where time feels like it slows down, even if the city below doesn't. The bar faces the Strip with a stunning view--MGM Grand glowing green in the distance, colorful rings lighting up rooftop lounges, and the city lights stretching endlessly past the horizon. Whether you're here for a cocktail or a bite (and yes, the small plates being passed around looked as good as they smelled), there's no rush. Just people unwinding, savoring the night, and letting the atmosphere do what Vegas rarely does--make you feel like you've stepped away from the crowd, without ever having to leave it.

Yelp
Great views of Vegas. Good cocktails after the rebrand. Luxurious lounge on top of the Waldorf. Didn't get offered any water though, but not a deal breaker.

Yelp
Came here past Saturday. I like the new remodel at the Waldorf Astoria's rooftop bar. It has the most breathtaking views of the strip. The cocktails are not bad, again it is Vegas so it will be slightly more pricey. We had reservations due to our party being large (6 people) and were seated right away. Our server was nice and checked on us. It is on the quieter side of the strip which was a pleasant change!

Yelp
The newly renovated and reopened SkyBar at the Waldorf Astoria still has a spectacular view and tasty cocktails. Service is on point here and whether you're staying at the Waldorf or just stopping in for a drink, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem in Vegas. It's quiet, few people and has a cozy feel. The service here is fast and the free snacks with a drink order is a nice touch. The I almost didn't want to refute review this place because I liked it so much that I don't want it to lose current ambience.

Yelp
Great new bar at the Waldorf Astoria! This bar just opened 5 weeks ago and is located on the 23rd floor of the WA. While waiting for a friend to arrive, was greeted by Mikala who was super friendly and when asked about the drink menu, took the time to converse and explain the recent opening, renovation and grand opening. My friend arrived and we were seated at the bar with a beautiful view. Our bartender made an excellent Mui Tai drink and the golden hour was on point.

Yelp
Located on the top floor in the Waldorf Astoria, this brand new bar gives cool vibes and spectacular views of the strip! I ordered a mocktail called Riverie, which tasted refreshing and flavorful! I also ordered their toro, 4 small pieces of sushi, and their hummus with veggies and toasted pita triangles, also outstanding! The service fell short with attentiveness. I had to flag our server down a few times. For the prices they charge, I expect better service. Maybe, next time it'll improve. Great atmosphere! Worth going for the outrageous strip views! I recommend making a reservation on a weekend night, ahead. 4 Strong Stars!

Yelp
Beautiful spot with a great view. The vibe was so much more chill than other places on the strip which I loved. Never felt like I was screaming to talk which was nice. Drinks tasted great. This is definitely a great place to start or end your night.

Yelp
Amazing time at Hard Shake. View was fantastic, recommend reservations to get the best views. Food was great! Service was a bit on the slow side but it was busy and a Friday night.

Yelp
Hard Shake is a great place to relax and have a great view of the strip. Our Charcuterie Board was perfect. Cocktail selection unique. Service was excellent.

Yelp
Was excited to try the remodel of SkyBar. The design is sleek and upscale, and the view is breathtaking as before. A revamped menu, unfortunately, isn't going to work. In my opinion. Gone are the fun cocktails that made for a unique experience. Prices for drinks are on par with other Strip lounges. Food, however, has missed the mark. The bar had just opened, or reopened, so the menus were brand new. Descriptions were confusing, and I guess they are shooting for a gastronomy experience and not a true upscale lounge appetizer menu. I had their version of a Negroni, which was good but not described as Negroni on the menu. My $26 tuna appetizer turned out to be a "cigar". It looked cool but the actual amount of food in it was laughable. I was expecting at least a decent amount of food for $26. Employees were friendly and were gracious in answering my questions. I regret not voicing my disappointment in the "cigar". You get bar snacks, which were good. High prices in a lounge like this can be justified if the food is at least a decent amount for the price.

Yelp
More like Hard SHAKEDOWN ... Hard PASS. This is a major downgrade from the previous Skybar (cocktail menu was much better). No longer worth coming here, overpriced (charging twice the prior cocktail prices), and lack of diversity on the cocktail menu. Nothing but pure gouging here, would recommend Skyfall at the W, or plenty of nice bars next door at Aria.
