Hard Yacht Cafe is a little out of the way for me, so I’ve only been a couple times. The outdoor seating is great, and our waitress was great. We ordered tacos and the HYC Egg-rolls. The food was good quality and it tasted awesome. I need to make the effort to get there more often; I totally love the place.

Google
Fantastic place to eat! We had some conch fritters and they were excellent! I ordered the lump crab salad with ginger dressing and it was very fresh. Everything tasted great. We sat inside but they have a great outdoor place to sit and look out into the harbor. I recommend for sure!

I chose this place for me and my husband to go on a date because we haven’t been in a few years. I have been following them on Instagram and everything always attracts me when we got there. We got quick seating and they weren’t too busy which was wonderful live music was playing. I even heard Johnny cash It was supposed to rain, but we went for outdoor dining and it didn’t rain. The food didn’t take too long to come. All of the food was delicious and fresh I wanna come back again! There are more things I wanna try on the menu and I want to eat some of the same things that I had before The waitress was really friendly. The view is beautiful. The whole atmosphere is wonderful. The food is amazing. I was so full when I was done. I definitely need to go back as soon as I can.

I‘ve been trying new places since this year started. As you can see the food was so good we couldn’t wait to eat it. This is place #27 and I must say this spot is my #1 spot. I was looking for somewhere my puppy can go with too after a trip to the park. He loved it, he’s learning not to jump on people. He got to excited and jumped on my server and she didn’t even stress it, she was friendly with my dog and me. The water really relaxed us, made the experience 10x better. We ordered two Crushes, they were not as strong as we like them but, well blended. The Wings and the Calamari were delicious. The hot wings were not spicy as we like it but, crispy and tasty! The burger was the best burger we’ve had in a while. My chicken sandwich came with crab dip, and it tasted like they used REAL crab meat! Definitely going back to try more on the menu! I see now they are open for breakfast/brunch and I am excited to try it. I need to check in to see if they offer any rewards, I found my go-to spot. This will be a place where they get tired of seeing my face!

Really loved the atmosphere here, right on the docks with the option to sit out on the water. Food, drinks, and service were great. Would definitely stop in again.

Google
Best crab soup ever! I had the half and half. We also had tuna tacos and they were delicious! Love the fun atmosphere during the holiday season. Wonderful band playing golden oldies. Not too loud.

Google
Don’t get seated in front of the live music if you want to hear the other people at your table. Otherwise, this place makes for the perfect waterside dining experience! You’ll want to try the pound of steamed shrimp served with sautéed onions and potatoes. Both the crab dip and shrimp are impeccably seasoned. The bread served alongside the crab dip was soft, light, airy, and delightful. We found the calamari a little heavy on the breading; however, it was still tender. The waitstaff helped make my friend’s birthday memorable by placing a candle in her cheesecake. The table service here was flawless. I’d give this restaurant five stars if our table hadn’t been parked next to the live band.

This was our first visit to the Hard Yacht. We went during restaurant week to check it out. The food was really amazing. The rockfish bites were melt in your mouth deliciousness. The fish was incredibly fresh and the light batter made them almost impossible to stop eating. The HYC egg rolls were equally as good. The fish and chips were fabulous-again the fresh fish made the dish. But the all star of our meal was the seared tuna nachos. The tuna was perfectly cooked-and generously spread throughout. The seaweed salad was perfectly seasoned and had a nice kick to it. This dish is my new favorite thing to eat!! The service was very good-except for having the entrees served well before we finished appetizers. The waitresses were very friendly and quick to respond. Overall this is a great place to enjoy first class fish dishes.

Yelp
Food and drinks are excellent! You do not have to worry about waiting on your server, they are on top of their assigned tables. We love the waterfront seating. Very pleasant evening with a little music on top of it all!

Yelp
My girl friend and I wanted to meet for lunch and we found this hidden gem and decided to give this spot a shot . I loved that it was right off of the water and the service was nice . They accommodated is very well and we enjoyed ourselves. I loved the appetizers and the ginger beer was my absolute favorite. I'll definitely be back for brunch or HH soon !

Yelp
I asked my husband to pick someplace for lunch we had never been before. That's how we arrived here, plus looking up the reviews. This restaurant is on the waterfront of Bear Creek, and wow! What a beautiful view on this crisp, clear day. Surrounded by yachts and boats still shrinkwrapped. There is plenty of outside dining on the pier Inside, it looks like a dive. I'm just thinking back to some old haunts from early college days. Lots of autographed dollar bills and all kinds of collectibles, come in and see for yourself. The music is soft rock and perfect for this type of bar. You know... Jimmy Buffet and so on. The menu is double-sided, straightforward, and not overly busy. I asked if there were daily specials, yes. Today was a NY strip steak with 2 sides. Come to find out they are listed by the entrance by the bar. My husband was true to form with his well done (yes, they will char it for you) hamburger. Add onion rings for $2. I had the Fisherman's Grilled Cheese, which is toasted bread, Monterey jack cheese, lumps of crab meat, and pieces of decently sized pieces of shrimp. It was really good! Just moist enough and not greasy. Added onion rings, too. We were too full for dessert. They have a card on the table top with them. Parking was a bit limited, and I can just imagine this is a hopping place in the summer with all the drink specials and the sailing patrons. Handicapped spots are available.

Yelp
What a wonderful place. It's way off the beaten path in the Dundalk area of Baltimore, but if you can make your way out here via Uber or other means, check it out. Service was terrific, bartenders were friendly and great, drinks were strong and prices were reasonable, all on a great waterfront atmosphere. Next time I'm here - and there will be a next time, give me a nice orange crush with some Jimmy Buffet playing.

Yelp
This place was so good, we ate here 2 nights in a row. The shrimp salad wrap was surprisingly good, the perfect amount of seasoning, the shrimp were plump and fresh and all wrapped perfectly. I would actually skip the conch fritters, I tried them because it looked like a novelty here, but it wasn't my style. The Baltimore Bomb dessert wasn't really my style either, for some reason it tasted like coconut to me, but I had to try it since it was a "local specialty." The steak in the steak quesadilla was really tender and flavorful. They were generous with the steak in the quesadilla as well. The shrimp taco was delicious also, the waitress (I think her name was Miranda) also put all the sauces and toppings on the side for my picky child. Service was great, Miranda was attentive and recognized us the second night we stopped by. They have live music and both nights sounded great, the singer/band was really upbeat and added some liveliness to the night. Glad I was able to find this place through Harvest Hosts while traveling.

Yelp
First off, check in. You'll get a 10% discount which HYC will honor. After learning that our favorite on-the-water spot, the River Watch, had been bought and transformed into something more yuppie-sounding, which is often an unwelcoming vibe for me, we've been on the lookout for a new waterfront luncheon place. We took my mom to HYC this week. This was her first time, but Jeremy and I have been once before, in the winter, to see some band play. That experience was fine, but yesterday's lunch was a real winner. My mom hadn't even ordered yet and was already talking about what she was going to try next time. We arrived around 1:30 and it was packed out on the deck. I mean, it was 85 degrees and absolutely gorgeous on the water, so it's no surprise that the only tables that were empty were the ones in the sunshine. By 2 it had cleared out quite a bit, so I think next time we'll come a tiny bit later so we won't need to sit in the sun. The appetizer menu is amazing, so that's all I ordered. I got the HYC eggrolls, which are filled with crab dip and some shrimp. It comes with a sweet thai chili sauce. They are delightful. I also got the conch fritters, but weren't so pleased with those. I boxed them up and sent them home with my mom. No harm, no foul. I like trying new things and sometimes it doesn't work out. Such is life. My boyfriend got the clam strips, which were so fat and delicious that they could not have possibly come out of a box. They came with cocktail sauce. And he had a lb of snowcrab legs, with butter, which he really seemed to enjoy. Personally I don't see the point in eating crab without Old Bay, but it is fun to watch others wrestle with those long legs. My mom had the Shrimp Melt - a sandwich with provolone and mozzarella and bruschetta. It was a decent sandwich. She enjoyed it. Next time I'm totally getting the fried pickles and a pulled pork sandwich. See? Next time. Such a great atmosphere. Would recommend

Yelp
When you are driving to this location the closer you get the more you wonder if you are going the right way because there isn't really much in terms of businesses there When we arrived we weren't sure if we had arrived lol or where to park but once we figured it out and went inside it was packed! The food is super delicious! The wings are chunky big and fried really well! They have the good ball ice in all their drinks and the meatloaf had a Salisbury steak flavor which I liked!

Yelp
The ambiance of this dockside indoor/outdoor restaurant is amazing! Open everyday early morning and until late night, this place always seems to have something going on whether it's live band music or a modest amount of repeat visitors and patrons. The boat dock is also visually stunning as captains are busy docking and tending to their boats while onlookers at the covered pier seating area nearby and from the restaurant enjoy the view. Hard Yacht Cafe is located in a nice size boat marina with a boat ramp and small store for boat supplies and boat storage needs. Often you will see the large boat cranes lifting boats in and out of the water for storage or maintenance, which is an interesting site as opposed to the regular boat launches from trailers at most other boat ramps. At night this place seems to get a bit more lively as the music can be heard easily from the immediate surroundings and the colorful lights from the restaurant attracts other boaters from the bay and locals from near and afar. The food is certainly a big plus since they serve fresh seafood and food that is shareable with friends with a nice cold drink. I recommend The Hard Yacht Cafe to anyone who would like to get away from the busy city scene for a quick drive away from the National Harbor and Fells Point to a nice seaside view with charm.

Yelp
Pure deliciousness with an amazing view. As an out of towner who comes in to visit family regularly, this is one of my absolute favorite spots and I cannot wait to stop in again!

Lisa G.

Yelp
Great hidden gem!! Food was excellent and drinks were even better! Cute beach dive decor and service was great!

Ashanti W.

Yelp
Was looking for somewhere near Baltimore where I could eat some food by the water and just relax. Found HYC on yelp and was not disappointed! I got the Maryland crab soup mixed with the cream of crab soup and it was definitely unique but in a good way compared to other places. The bowl size felt more like a cup but it was still tasty. I also ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri it could've been blended more and it seemed like there was some sort of carbonation in it which was odd. My friend got a mans crush which he said was delicious and devoured the chicken Chesapeake sandwich and fries! The prices were affordable, friendly staff, and they had live music.

Corey S.

Yelp
I went to hard yacht cafe for a lunch after a long night with my smoking hot girl friend, I mean solid ten. Body crazy face flawless and a millionaire and somehow I'm still out of her league. Naturally she said I was the best man she ever dated I mean I got the upgraded package in my Chevy Cruze so ya know, I'm doing prettty well. Plus I'm tall I mean really tall like 7'2 and my dad never left he stayed my whole child hood even when I was 7 after my baseball game in watersedge. Yea so my girl friend she had to get back to being a model after a long night of being a tiger surgeon, so we needed a quick bite to eat. As soon as we walked in the music stopped and everyone looked out how drop dead gorgeous my real life human girl friend is. We ate outside because you know attractive people love the outdoors. We both ordered steak stuffed lobsters topped with caviar and gold flakes. It's not on the menu so don't ask just a little something they did for the big dog. That's what they call me the big dog. My dad gave me the nickname after my baseball game when I was 7 instead of just leaving me there. He's still around and my life is going great. Yea hard yacht no full frontal male nudity so it's a great place for families.

Frankie C.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! It can get busy so just be aware there may be a wait. Love their frozen drinks and the crushes. They also offer Malibu buckets. Right on the water and sometimes they have live music which is nice. It can get super loud there also ,if that really isn't your thing I would suggest coming during the day as it's pretty calm and quiet then Happy hour is from 2-6pm Monday- Friday and they usually run specials for each day also.

Elliot S.

Yelp
Overall, great place! The staff was friendly and was willing to change a mistake that I made when ordering. Very understanding and willing to do the change. The food was fantastic! I had the HYC build your own burger, and it was nice and juicy. I was able to add bacon, crab dip, and all of the normal things that you would find on a burger. My mother had the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, she said it was juicy and flavorful. The bacon wasn't overwhelming and neither was the ranch. The way into the place was quite interesting. You're driving through a neighborhood that turns into a marina. There aren't really any real parking spots, you just park in some stones pretty much wherever. The deck was nice, a little small. We didn't sit inside, but when we passed through it, it would be a great spot to sit if it were to rain or if it was too hot to sit out on the deck.

Mark K.

Yelp
Why a nice little restaurant on the docks. The inside was decked out as what you expected. Something like a casual, Jimmy Buffett kinda place. I ordered the crab cake sandwich. It was good and the seasoning was not over powering. The fries were also good. The service was a little slow, but then again they were really busy. I would stop by again.

John B.

Yelp
The food was delicious. We had a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp and a Berry salad with grilled shrimp. We also had the HYC crab egg rolls. They are the best appetizer! The place was packed due to Raven game, but the service was excellent. The ambiance is what you'd expect from a sports bar/restaurant on the water during a Raven game in Baltimore! Loud and fun. We enjoyed our visit and will be back to try some other food.

Jan B.

Yelp
Good food Reasonable price Good service And so many Crushes to choose from We sat outside and it was a cool vibe

Niesha W.

Yelp
Great customer service and great atmosphere we are local and come here year round for there outside dining area as well as frequent events. There is also a local marina so this is a boat friendly place

Dianna H.

Yelp
Yes I love it, I was only there Twice (2) the first time a friend invited me. She had a party there. We were in the back of the bar. It had been February of 2013 when I walked in it had been a little cold but when I lady a few hours later. It was a white wonderland. It was beautiful with the lights of the decor. The second time (2) and we ( boyfriend and I ) were out motorcycle riding and decided to stop for some food and drinks under the Tiki tree and listen to some music. All were pretty impressive. Food 8, service 8, Ambiance 8 as well. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

jovanna h.

Yelp
Nice vibe! She. With some friends for the first time and we had fun. Food is amazing, and the fries are so good.

Gina C.

Yelp
Great place to meet up with family and have outstanding breakfast and Crushes! Loved the amount of old bay in the eggs and chipped beef looked tasted the way it should but I've never found it at a restaurant so perfect! Great opportunity for pictures with loved ones.

Dawn M.

Yelp
Quit going there due to terrible food, bad service and attitudes. Won't waste my time or money again.

Adriana A.

Yelp
They have the best food and an amazing breakfast selection! Their service is great, their staff is kind. I love going with friends and sitting out by the water.

Tara R.

Yelp
My friends and I stopped in for dinner for the first time a couple weeks ago on a week night. Even though this place isn't far from my house, I never knew it existed! The drinks were good and the food was decent. We split an order of wings and then I had the chicken salad wrap with fries. My one friend ordered the steak special they had which he thought was an amazing deal. The place was super busy so we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table but were able to get drinks from the bar while waiting. I would visit again!

Yvonne C.

Yelp
We love the Hard Yacht! We have been there for breakfast, lunch, dinner and of course for Taco Tuesdays. We can take the dog and sit in the deck and enjoy a nice meal. The service is always great! We have no complaints at all! N

Carolyn C.

Yelp
Great service, inexpensive heavy poured crushes and tasty food. Highly recommend the shrimp and crab dip "egg" rolls and the shrimp salad wrap! YUM!

Deb L.

Yelp
The service was attentive and the band was fabulous! The waitress suggested the swordfish special and it was inedible! Overcooked and super dry. She saw that we didn't touch it and told a manager. He just walked away, never talked to us. It was still on our check. We paid, tipped well and left-never to return. I messaged the restaurant and got no response. They just don't care.

Jackie P.

Yelp
The service and food is always good, burgers in particular. Fun local atmosphere. A go to...

Tom S.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, food is so so, you have to get there early if you want a seat. Blablablablabla

Karl T.

Yelp
Great food, great vibe. Usually good acoustic music. Reasonable prices.great waterfront lication

Julia W.

Yelp
Love the food, the quesadilla is my favorite. So pleasant being able to be on the water and listen to live music

James P.

Yelp
Great food nice people! Love this place for Sunday brunch with close friends. Easy parking a nice view of the water.

Kristen S.

Yelp
Awesome food (conch fritters, rock fish bites, and mussels ) good crushes and service. Bartender Melissa is the best!

Kenya G.

Yelp
This could be my favorite place to grab a bite to eat in Dundalk. The take out is quick, the service is great and the atmosphere is chill! Monday nights are steak dinners for $12.99 and it was beyond worth it! They served up a decent amount of sides and the steak was pretty hefty itself. When I went to pick it up, I was surprised to see live music happening on a Monday night. Overall, I will definitely be back....especially for Monday night steaks!

Ward D.

Yelp
What a nice fun COMFORTABLE vibe! I will definitely return and go out of my way to get back whenever I'm in the area! Stopped in with a group of coworkers for drinks and appetizers.. I'd recommend the egg rolls over the conch fritters, but that's not saying the fritters were bad. Great hidden gem of a place here.

Linda R.

Yelp
Always will recommend The Hard Yacht!! Great food, awesome service, great atmosphere and love coming out to listen to the bands. Kudos to Hard Yacht!

Emily L.

Yelp
What a hidden gem!! My husband decided to stop by when we were in the area on a Saturday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised that there was libe music out on the back deck. I ordered the crab stuffed Avocado and it wad incredible! It was served with greens and a honey chipotle dressing that was so good!! We also order the conc fritters to start with and they were so good. Also enjoyed some crushes and there are so many flavor options to choose from. This is a great spot to enjoy good food for a reason price and to enjoy waterfront views. Great place for a quick date or to hang with a group of family and friends. Fun atmosphere!

Bill B.

Yelp
This joint is truly worth the visit. My colleagues and I happened to be in the area and figured we might as well grab a bite to eat. With smartphone in hand, my good buddy yelp was there to provide direction to this delightful hideaway. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated in short fashion...an epic corner table on the dock overlooking a peaceful Bear Creek. Sherri B is her name and you'd be very happy if she's your server. She's not only super friendly and helpful, but she has a superpower...she's able to have your drinks refilled before you even realize they're getting empty. Bravo!! Wait...isn't this yelp? Isn't this supposed to be a food review? I've got you covered. This vagabond trio ordered steak, a cheesesteak sub, and the Chicken Chesapeake sandwich. All were good eating. Fries, Mac and cheese, and Cole slaw accompanied the meals and were a hit as well. Combine stellar service, lovely atmosphere, and good food and you have a sure winner like the Hard Yacht Cafe. Next time I'm in Dundalk, you know where I'm eating...see you soon Hard Yacht Cafe!

Jane G.

Yelp
Quirky and fun. Breakfast is outstanding. Eat inside or on one of their decks on the water. Great vibes. Busy at night but always good food.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
It's a cool location with good food! Enjoy the views and the relaxed atmosphere! Would recommend.

Lana G.

Yelp
Great cafe on the water! Live music Friday evening. Crab cakes are a little pricey, and you have to upgrade for fries. However, their shrimp dishes are really good! I got a shrimp salad sandwich and it was fresh and delicious. My friend got fried shrimp platter and it was really good as well! Service is excellent, we were well taken care of!

Joshua A.

Yelp
Great food and a great atmosphere. Service has always been good. Neat place to watch the various charter boats come in and out.

Phoebe M.

Yelp
This place is amazing!! We had the egg rolls and the hush puppies as a starter, both are amazing. The egg rolls are creamy and delicious and the hush puppies are melt in your mouth. Don't choose - get both. The crab cake sandwich had a wonderful flavor. The service was a bit slow, but with did like this who cares. Details: Visited Wednesday at 12:30 Party of 8

Brandon S.

Yelp
Best crushes on planet earth. My favorite summertime lunch spot. But they're open year round and are just as enjoyable in the cooler months! Live music by the water! Food is delicious and service is adequate. Favorite dish is the cheese steak egg rolls. The menu is big and offers something for everyone. However, I am deducting a star because the fish tacos (my favorite summertime dish) is too fishy. I'd like to see them offer a battered fish taco option (because maybe I'm a baby and can't pallet freshly caught fish). Also, I don't know how they fix it, but the parking could be better/more space? Never mind, I'm adding the star back, this place is awesome.

Chris gilder G.

Yelp
The food there was good it wasn't to busy it was definitely worth the price and it wasn't bad food everything was cooked and my kids loved it but the service sucked ass the girl came to out table twice in thirty minutes and it wasn't even busy half the staff sat there not even knowing what the Fuck they where doing. I would definitely recommend if you want a good meal and have a waiter act like my dad left and only came back when I was ready to give money. The ambiance of the place was nice a little hot but the decoration was fun to look at when waiting for my food. But overall I would suggest eating here it was nice and definitely good food!!!

David B.

Yelp
On a nice spring day, we were glad the Hard Yacht cafe could seat us so quickly! The staff were extremely nice and attentive the whole time we were there. Right off the bat though, the entrance was surrounded by smokers which was hard to walk through. We immediately got a table outside and got our drinks. A blue moon with a perfect orange slice to start the meal. The food came out extremely quickly! We started with the crab dip. Though smothered in old bay seasoning, the dip wasn't bad but definitely nothing to keep writing about. The roast beef wrap w/ fries came next. Surprisingly tasty! Good beef flavor but not much else. Overall, the major appeal of the food here is the view it comes with. The last, and most important, thing was their attention to COVID restrictions. I wish they did better with social distancing and masks. Otherwise, I'd recommend this place for anyone needing a quick meal in the area.

Kell M.

Yelp
The name of this place is super cute. However, the food was merely okay to be quite honest. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri to drink--premixed and very icey and syrup-y. Not the worst thing ever but not great. My friends and I shared the crabby fries, these were pretty good overall I'll say! For my meal, I had the soft shell crab sandwich with hush puppies. This was a total mess. Very soggy and undercooked in the center, served on an untoasted plain white bread with a sad amount of sauce, one slice of lettuce and a tomato. You get 5 small hush puppies that tasted like they came from a bag. It was honestly not a good meal for the most part and I'm not sure I would be back. Tip: if you check-in, you receive 10% off your bill.

Christine M.

Yelp
Always a good time to be had at the Hard Yacht! The service is great and the atomosphere is always upbeat! the bands are always good!

Shelby G.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Always god live music. Brunch is amazing. I wish they'd offer brunch later than 12 on weekends. Definitely recommend:)
