"Looks can be deceiving!" We had no clue what to eat and decided to try this location. Oh my goodness! By the looks of the restaurant, we were completely surprised at the quality of the food. We ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of dirty rice. It was so delicious, we had to order another to go! The sandwich was juicy, and the dirty rice was well seasoned. The homemade sauce was good (sweet vinegar taste). It was freaking amazing! 😋

The wonderful lady behind the cash is wonderful. The food was amazing, the 🐔 was cooked while I waited. Tender and juicy. Dirty rice and Mac and 🧀 was awesome. Took care of my craving for fried chicken. There are lots of other options as well. The ribs looked delicious and 🐂 tail. Yum 😋 😋

Such good chicken, collards, and Mac ‘n’ cheese! Wait to order was long but that’s because there were only two of the hardest-working people I’ve ever seen behind the counter and in the kitchen, with a line to order out the door, so you know it’s great and worth the wait. There really is no atmosphere to speak of — it’s a chicken shack — but I gave it 5 stars because the music they were playing was GREAT!

Yoooo this hidden GEM I stumbled across today, definitely hit the spot. I pass by here all the time and never even knew this was here. I'm a truck driver and have traveled i95 a million times. Whether you're leaving South Carolina or coming, be sure to take EXIT 5 in Hardeeville and stop at Chicken Lickn! That smoked chicken with the mac&cheese collards and cornbread made my day. And today has been a day with this traffic and weather. So to the ladies that run this place and serviced me I appreciate you and I will be back again and again. Thank you!

There was a line and plenty of people eating on the picnic tables out front - and for good reason - the fried chicken was really good! But they were really quick, so the line moved fast and the food was ready quickly. I can recommend the fried chicken, the fried shrimp, the Mac and cheese, and the dirty rice. Easy access from I95! Definitely worth a stop.

This was the MOST delicious take-out, home cooked food ever!!! I had a pulled pork sandwich that was a mile high, potato salad, and scrumptious hush puppies. So yummy!!! Then I had a slice of red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting…should I have eaten the whole slice? No….but I couldn’t stop! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Every mouthful was a pure delight!!!! And the staff was super nice too!!!

I tried this food 2 days in a row just to see if I ordered something different would I yield different results. First day I ordered the smoke chicken with Mac n cheese and yams, but got baked beans and rice. The smoked chicken was so dry and lacked flavor. The beans were cold and rice was okay. Nothing special The second day I decided to try them again and order the 2 piece white meal with Mac n cheese/mashed potatoes with gravy. The fried chicken was cold, dry, and wasn't that tasty at all. Both sides were cold and didn't taste that good. For the area, the food maybe be a good choice but it isn't worth the money in my opinion. Sweet tea was good on both visits but that's about it.

My family stopped in here on our way from Florida. The outside looked interesting. With a few outside tables and a fan hanging from the ceiling. We were so excited to try the food. We just knew by the looks of it that it was going to be delicious. Let me tell you something. They did not disappoint. I ordered the ribs' meal with Mac n cheese and hushpuppies. My entire meal was delicious. The ribs 😋 were so tasty seasoned well, but not too much. They even had a smoke taste to them. The Mac n cheese had me wondering if they had kidnapped grandma. She had to be in the back. My daughters ordered the shrimp. They said they loved it. We added a slice of homemade lemon pound cake for dessert. I was so in love. Everything was topnotch. I believe they are so underrated. This is my new spot. I will be back, and next time, I'm bringing my grandma. ❤️
