Love this coffee place located in the SE Woodstock neighborhood. Both the matcha and cafe lattes were excellent. And beautiful latte art to boot. Very nice and cozy space. Highly recommended!

I’m a Matcha drinker and I love their Macha tonic with cherry. All of their matcha drinks are great. They make them with quality grade leaf. The staff is friendly hard-working and they play nice music. They have happy hour also and serve beer if that’s your jam.

Loved our Lattes and breakfast burrito. Staff were friendly and loved the outdoor space. Also dog friendly! Will definitely be back next time we are in Portland!

Their espresso tonic was something I've never even heard of, so I had to try it, and I'm sook glad I did. It's my new favorite drink. The espresso + tonic water + flavored syrup creates a fantastically sweet, bitter, slightly acidic, smooth, rich beverage that I think I might be addicted to from now on...

I like the coffee, slushies and smoothies here. The snacks there aren’t so great. However at the end of the day they give out their free pastries and the servers there are always super nice. The music choice is also really nice and the chairs overlooking the streets give an amazing view.

Google
Wonderful spot on Woodstock. The coffee is good - their espresso smells so good. We came on a Saturday and got a latte and burrito. The pork burrito was flavorful and delicious. The milk in the latte was steamed perfectly, the only thing was there was only one barista working and it got a little busy so there was a bit of a wait; not the baristas fault at all, they were very kind. But, there was a steady line of customers and probably needed a second person to help with flow. Would gladly go again. Can’t park right in front cause that is the credit union parking, so will need to park on the streets

Wonderful little shop, hidden off the beaten path but worth the find. Great coffee and pastries. I will go back later in the evenings to try the craft beers. Employees were kind and helpful.

As others have pointed out, Harder Day took over Esperanza’s location. I’m not a coffee/tea connoisseur, but to me, they are on par with each other. I ordered a London Fog and the Ocean Roll, which I highly recommend; flaky but not overly messy and just the right sweetness. They reduced the indoor seating but compensated by expanding outdoor tables and chairs. Everything looked clean and well run. Harder Day is still new and seems to be finding its vibe, which at this point is still a work in progress. As always, I recommend you try it for yourself and support small local business.

Yelp
I've gone back and forth on whether to leave this review, but at the end of the day, I'm a mother, and I had my young son with me when this happened, and I feel it's important to speak up. I regret not saying something in the moment, but I believe this deserves to be shared so others can make informed decisions about supporting this business. While waiting in line, I witnessed an elderly woman politely ordering a chocolate chip cookie and a water. As she moved to find the water station, she seemed confused and asked for clarification. Instead of offering kindness or patience, the barista responded loudly, rudely, and with visible frustration, snapping, "The water is right over there." It was disrespectful, and honestly, hard to watch. I would never treat anyone this way, especially someone elderly simply asking for help. It was disappointing and showed a complete lack of compassion. If you're reading this, I hope you take a moment to reflect on how your staff interacts with others. People notice. I won't be returning, and I'm saddened that this was the experience you offered, not just to her, but to everyone witnessing it. I'm disappointed this happened, but also glad I saw it for what it was.

Yelp
I'm a little devastated that this coffee chain took over the space of Esperanza due to high rent and land lord issues. But the staff at this location are always so nice. And the coffee is excellent. The set up of the space is great for co-working, although there are limited outlets, so bring your device fully charged.

Yelp
This is a little hidden gem for a nicely appointed cafe with great coffee, quality snacks, and great beer as well as wine. Their daily happy hour is a great deal too. If you are looking for a place to get a little work done while you caffeinate or enjoy a cleansing ale this is it!

Yelp
Incredible coffee and service. Pastries are an added bonus... don't sleep on the strawberry oat bar... chef's kiss.

Yelp
Love love love their coffee, ambiance and customer service! I ordered a half sweetened vanilla latte and it's hands down one of the best coffees I've had.

Yelp
I tried their homemade Serrano pepper syrup for my Espresso. SPICY! Loved it! They also carry baked goods and wraps as well. Highly recommended!

Yelp
New coffee shop on Woodstock that took over the space of previous operators - Esperanza's. Coffee tasted great. Same in house roaster as before. Friendly staff. Parking is street level.

Yelp
Thank you for putting in new baby changing table! Really appreciate ya'll for hearing my feedback.

Yelp
We've been here twice since they opened. The first time I had a detox tea and the second a vanilla latte. Both delicious. We tried one of the pastries today as well and it was great. Cozy, open air on nice days, chill music.

Yelp
Tucked between the credit union and the UPS store lies Woodstock's best kept secret. A beautiful coffee shop serving phenomenal coffee, beer and wine. They have an in house coffee roaster and make all their syrups in house from scratch. Their menu is ever rotating, using only fruit that is in season for their syrups. They offer multiple single origin beans and a yummy decaf option as well. The staff is all super friendly, warm, and welcoming. Great place to hang with friends and it is dog friendly. They have a lot of seating inside and outside (if you're looking for some sun). They have a big garage door, perfect for taking in the bustling street of Woodstock. I'm glad there is a space like this for the neighborhood.

Yelp
The coffee lacks love. Even with a simple iced americano, the drink I received was a hot cup of water with a splash of espresso. Even when I asked for my iced drink, the barista proceeded to dump out the drink and add ice to it, without any regard for diluting what little coffee was there. Large shoes to fill in Esperanza's place that definitely did disappoint despite the beautiful setting.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this spot in our neighborhood, but having been there on a Sunday, receiving burned burritos twice (waited 40 minutes for 2 rounds of burned burritos), and the unfriendliness of the staff made it an overall no for us to return. It would be better to have a system where names were called or order numbers instead of just calling out items as no one knows whose order is ready. Would also share that we had a toddler with us and this place is not kid friendly which is too bad as it's right next to a kiddos bookstore.

Yelp
Service was rude and food was overpriced, burnt, too small portion for money and low quality. Really wanted to like Thai place.

Yelp
Glad to see a coffee place back in this spot. I ordered a half sweet almond milk mocha, and it as perfect. They also have some tasty-looking pastries and reasonably priced breakfast burritos and sandwiches that I will definitely try in the future. They also serve beer and wine. The beer is from Steeplejack which is an outstanding brewery.

Yelp
A new coffee shop in the town that is defined by coffee shops. Unimpressed with this lukewarm effort. The experience is basic at best. The coffee wasn't good. It takes true coffee lovers to pull off a good coffee shop. This feels like an unattended hobby business...

Eliza R.

Yelp
Delicious chai but obscenely overpriced for only 8oz. Hardcore minamalist decor, so a little tough to enjoy a cozy-cafe vibe. Friendly staff.

Yelp
stopped in today at the John's Landing location... very good coffee and very nice service! we will be back!

Yelp
Dark environment, weak coffee and ...a hard no from all four of us. Transferred a few blocks down to The Woodstock Cafe and have been blissfully ever happy since.

Alexis S.

Yelp
I ordered a latte here and could barely taste the coffee in it. The barista made us feel like we weren't supposed to be there. Any good vibes in this shop were remnants of the last coffee shop in the space.
