I've gone back and forth on whether to leave this review, but at the end of the day, I'm a mother, and I had my young son with me when this happened, and I feel it's important to speak up. I regret not saying something in the moment, but I believe this deserves to be shared so others can make informed decisions about supporting this business.
While waiting in line, I witnessed an elderly woman politely ordering a chocolate chip cookie and a water. As she moved to find the water station, she seemed confused and asked for clarification. Instead of offering kindness or patience, the barista responded loudly, rudely, and with visible frustration, snapping, "The water is right over there."
It was disrespectful, and honestly, hard to watch. I would never treat anyone this way, especially someone elderly simply asking for help. It was disappointing and showed a complete lack of compassion.
If you're reading this, I hope you take a moment to reflect on how your staff interacts with others. People notice. I won't be returning, and I'm saddened that this was the experience you offered, not just to her, but to everyone witnessing it.
I'm disappointed this happened, but also glad I saw it for what it was.
