Hark Bakery

We chose Hark Bakery for our wedding cake, and it was truly one of the best decisions we made! My wife and I are both dairy-free (which can be hard to find accommodations for in the wedding cake industry), and from the beginning Lisa and Katherine made it so easy and such a fun process to work with them! There were so many amazing options to choose from for the tasting, and they took the time to understand our vision and brought it to life perfectly. The cake was not only absolutely stunning but also incredibly delicious! From start to finish, the team at Hark was kind, helpful, and genuinely wonderful to work with. We couldn't have asked for a better vendor for such a meaningful part of our day. Highly recommend!

Hark did such an amazing job on our wedding cake and mini desserts!! My sister has celiac so we wanted a safe option for her. We loved the fun tasting, the cake was delicious, and we loved working with Lisa. Thank you so much!!

Hark Bakery is by appointment only and catering/made-to-order now, and I miss their downtown store front for breakfast! We recently purchased a wedding cake after helpful back and forth emails with Lisa. It was on a short turnaround so unfortunately not able to do a taste test, but we were incredibly happy with the results and would order from Hark again. Super friendly and helpful, expect response delays as they work through busy seasons. The wedding cake was gorgeous and tasty. If you're familiar with gluten free baking, sometimes the result is crumbly or dense. The cake we received was comparable to a non-gluten free cake, and people that didn't have celiac also loved their slices. Hark Bakery was able to accommodate allergies, and we got a delicious gluten free, vegan, nut free cake. I'll update with pictures for example.

Cute place with so many very, very exciting options! The gal at the counter was extremely welcoming and helpful. She let me ask a few questions, and even gave some recommendations! I am so excited that there is a gluten free place with such fun options, and some unique items as well, such as homemade pop tarts! (Even the inside jammy filling is homemade!). I bought a variety of items to take home and try, and so far so good. The tastes and textures were solid, but not 100% there for me, but still 90% (which is still an "A" in my book). This could be because although I have to eat gluten free, I am not vegan, and sometimes textures and flavors are different (people who aren't gluten free say the same thing when things aren't glutinous!). I had a great experience though, and I will definitely be going back!

Nice atmosphere and lovely staff! Nice quiet and quaint cafe with lots of vegan and GF options, very friendly and helpful service/employees! Pretty good Oat Milk Latte! Added some sweetner to it and it was great! Nice music and served in nice ceramic mugs! Not a ton of food options and not good for nut-free food options but perfect for vegan bakery items!

Aliya provided fantastic, friendly service and the food was delicious. She suggested the vegan BBQ tacos and they hit the spot! Crunchy and warm, tons of flavor and a bit spicy. The sazerac cocktail was also perfect. Food came out fast. Ambiance is chill, soft and warm. Great decor and comfy seating.

Over the weekend I stopped for coffee, not knowing it was a gluten-free and vegan café. The joy! I immediately bought four treats and they were all delicious. The lemon meringue pie was the absolute best. I’m sure I’ll be back again for them to take all my money.

Ordered a vanilla cake with maple frosting for a birthday celebration. The cake was delicious. I loved how perfectly moist the gluten free cake was. I feel like a lot of novice gluten free products are crumbly/dry, and I'm pleased to report that's not the case here. While ordering, I had the opportunity to speak with Lisa -who was super professional and polite during the busy holiday season. I definitely recommend this place!
