Harley's Butchery & Rotisserie

Tried Harley’s for a quick lunch and we were very impressed. The quality of the meats here, and range, are amazing! We tried the coronation chicken sandwich and roast potatoes (they said these usually need to be pre ordered but they made an exception bc there was one leftover!). The potatoes were soaked in the chicken gravy of the rotisserie and were so rich and complex! The coronation chicken sandwich had a fresh lemony flavour and was outstanding too! Can’t wait to return and try other things.

MINUS - ‘Rotisserie Chicken’ availability was limited for walk-in customers; online pre-orders were therefore recommend. - The store phone number was invalid, meaning there was no direct support for customer queries. - Overpriced: £25 for the ‘Whole Rotisserie Chicken’ (£12.95 for half chicken). - The ‘Rotisserie Potatoes’ were small for the chicken and overpriced at £3.95. - £2.25 for a small pot of ‘Chicken Gravy’ which should be complimentary. Harley’s is the butcher that you have always wanted, advice, cooking directions, history of the meats that are on offer, even the story of the local charcuterie!. True provenance of its meats, amazing services, they make everything in house including some of the best sausages I’ve eaten from a butchers, not to mention the incredible basque cheesecake. Will definitely be going back, for the roast chicken next time!

Went here with two friends and we all left with the general feeling that this was one of the best rotisserie chickens any of us had eaten our whole lives. Expensive for a chicken sure, but man the flavour explosions going on, I was sitting there with my eyes closed just so I could enjoy the sensory deprivation and focus on what was happening in my mouth! Chicken was moist, soft & perfectly cooked, the potatoes were tender with a slight crunch (could be crunchier!) and the gravy……..just don’t skimp out in getting gravy. Also ordered a basque cheesecake and I think all 3 of us were slicing off the tiniest slivers with our spoons just so we could make the taste journey lost as long as possible, seriously yummy stuff. Will definitely be back when I’m in London next it’s an amazing feed.

Restaurant grade meat to cook at home along with friendly and knowledgeable staff, very exciting to have this shop open in Hampstead. Whilst not inexpensive, it really is worth the money. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Wow — what a fantastic butcher right in the heart of Hampstead village. We were just passing by when the eye-catching display outside drew us in, and later returned to pick up a gift for my dad, who’s really into his marinades. Both Ollie and Libby were incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Hearing Libby’s story of how she came to work at the butcher’s was lovely, and it’s clear Ollie has put a huge amount of care and hard work into building such a vibrant, successful business. We can’t wait to give my dad the Heat Lab sauce made by Libby’s brother, a microbiologist based in Yorkshire, such a great touch! A truly wholesome experience from start to finish. I’d highly recommend popping in if you’re in the area.

Wow! What a great experience my wife and I had at Harley’s. We traveled all the way from Texas just to try the rotisserie chicken & potatoes, and it was well worth the journey. We had a great experience with all the staff, they went above and beyond to ensure hospitality was at the forefront of their business. This will 100% be our go to place in London every time we visit. I cannot recommend this enough, it was honestly the best rotisserie chicken we have ever had !!

The meat here is top notch. I’ve been ordering here since it opened. The steaks are unreal and we love the pre-marinated chicken. Hands down the best butcher in Hampstead. I cook everything on the big green egg
