Yelp
reserved a party for Sunday, July 17th for my best friend's 50th birthday. We had a party of 19.
Your hostesses and the waiter were very professional and treated us great!
Your "chef" left us with a horrible taste in our mouths. Let me preface this by saying we saw on several social media sites where your restaurant was very trendy, and had a great vibe, food, and drinks. We were all looking forward to attending.
Upon arrival, our tables were prepared and there was cool water on the table. It was a hot day Sunday, so this was very appreciated!
The waiter explained how he wanted to manage the ordering process and we all complied. It was very smooth!
Someone ordered the BBQ chicken spring rolls/eggrolls. When they arrived at the table, she thought they were dark and burnt. She sent them back to the kitchen. The "chef" came out to the table, his energy was very negative. He asked her what was wrong with the food. She started to explain and he cut her off mid-sentence. She tried to explain again and he cut off again and said in a very condensing tone "well I don't know if you've ever had a spring roll." She tried to talk again and he cut her off AGAIN, saying "I will remove them from your tab". Then walked away as she was still trying to explain herself. This was witnessed by the entire party as well as other patrons of the restaurant.
We asked for a manager. He returned to the table and said "i'm the manager" and smirked in her face. She tried to talk to him again about the food he presented, and he began to cut her AGAIN!!! I intervened and said "never mind, we will leave" By this time, an assistant manager came by and tried to resolve the issue. We informed him that we didn't feel comfortable with that "chef" preparing our food. We paid our bill and left. Mind you, some of the party STILL had not received their food at all.
My friend was devastated because she was looking forward to the experience that so many had bragged about online. We received the total opposite.
We paid for our drinks and some of the food that was discounted by the other manager. That bill was $228.00. We left there and went to Stir down the sidewalk and spent an additional $1200.00. We were prepared to really spend some money in your place.
This experience was definitely one to remember but in a horrible way. He ruined my friend's birthday. Nineteen people now have the memory of your restaurant being just a horrible place to attend, including the other individuals that were around us that witnessed the treatment we received. Finally, if this man is representing your brand, he's doing a horrible job. His customer service was HORRIBLE. He never apologized for being rude, condescending, and overtalking your customers.
In conclusion, the amount of time he spent trying to overtalk and be rude to us, he could have just said, "I apologize, let us try this again". That was it.
