Update 5 stars to 2: After almost 2 months in operation this restaurant has been came a typical Springfield restaurant. Serving cold food, incorrect orders at a rate of 50% to 75% and non-existent customer service. They put hot meat on top of cold fries. They constantly do not put sauce on orders. Sauce on and sauce on the side are 2 different products, adding sauce afterward does not create the same chemical reaction. On my last visit I waited over 40 minutes for my food because they made a mistake in the back and gave my food to another customer. You can hear EVERY SINGLE THING they say in the back. I stood there and listened to them give my food away. Then give me cold fries after waiting 40 minutes while they are counting down to closing time an hour before close.
Finally the taste of the mild sauce and the season of the chicken is starting to vary wildly.
I have called and spoke to management before, they don't care. Check your order before you leave and make hope the "good" cook is on duty.

This Harold's is exactly what you would get in the city. As good as 87th, made correctly unlike Hyde Park. Everything is seasoned and cooked perfectly. The wait is long because of COVID but they seem to be improving the process. They aren't taking call in orders which really sucks but I understand. This is probably the best thing to happen to Springfield in 2020. If you love Harold's, don't hesitate to visit.
