Nice building with a lot of parking and seating. Service was great and there were a lot of beers on tap to choose from. We had flights followed with a couple of drafts. Food was good too. We had some hot dogs, burgers that was very nice. The Nachos were simply ok. The wings were large and tasted good. Overall a great place to go with kids of with friends.

Great place. Food is pretty good too. I do not recommend the veggie wrap. Weird smoke flavor.

I had some clam chowder that was very nice. I followed that with some chicken wings with Buffalo sauce. The wings were large and tasted good. Being from the Buffalo area, I was taken by surprise because the wings looked like they had been fried and refried. Still, they tasted just fine, so no real complaints here. Happy to get here and cross another brewery/taproom off the list!

The ambience, design and atmosphere is very well done and executed. It's a feel good place 😃 Staff wear smiles that really are genuine. They are attentive, fast and friendly. However, the food is amazing! We ordered a variety of menu items, special requests were cheerfully noted and all of it was unbelievably Delicious! 🤗 It may be known to many for it's brews of beer, but don't skip the meal!

Highly recommended this place!! Great Lunch and amazing service from Tiana!! The inside is comfortable with high and low tops. There is also a nice outside area if you’re traveling with your pup and a good amount of shade. There is also a fast EV charging station with two plugs. BIG win all the way around!!

A party of 6 of us came here mid afternoon for some lunch and drinks. They were VERY busy but after about 30-45 minutes, they were able to seat up outside (the temperature was tolerable). In the mean time, we had gotten some beer and played cornhole. After we were seated, we managed to order food. It did take a while to get to us but they all tasted fine. Nothing amazing but not bad. Overall, I'd definitely come here agian for the great vibes and drinks but I'm not sure I'd want to get food (or at least not sit outside!)

Food was Great, Roast Beef sandwich was piled high with med-rare roast beef. Music not over powering the conversation and a good selection of artists. Our sever, Kim, found an excellent English style Ale Absolutely Delicious.

Had a pretty good experience! Came here two years back on a fall evening, and sat outside and enjoyed beer flights. Revisited again today on a wintry night, and enjoyed the indoor vibes too! Loved the live music, great vocals and band. Their Boston Irish Stout is interesting. PS: loved the fact that they let you taste beers if you're confused with options!

2nd time this fall. Get the Game On Wagyu Burger. Unbelievable! Bartender recommended their Maple Balsamic dressing for the side salad and it was fantastic! The Jason Cann band did not disappoint. And the legendary Harpoon cast of beers and cider was OK... LOL!

We sat at the bar and had two lovely meals. One on the way to our airbnb, then one on the way home. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious--fresh, flavorful. Overall, a great experience! We also charge our electric car here on our way further into Vermont.

It was busy but not packed on a sunny, Friday afternoon. I had a beer flight and a Locals Only turkey sandwich. This sandwich is outrageously good. Everything down to the bread is Vermont. I was in town for business but would absolutely make a detour over here whenever in the area.

Harpoon's tap room ended up being my afternoon office. I arrived here at around 1:00 and stayed through my afternoon Zoom calls, departing at around 5:00. It started off busy (even on a weekday!) and slowly got quiet. Waitstaff were friendly and helpful and attentive, not minding me sitting here with a beer or two throughout the day. I also enjoyed one of their pretzels which comes with both beer cheese and mustard. I preferred the cheese. [Review 1670 of 2024 - 157 in Vermont - 22693 overall]

We recently had lunch at Harpoon Brewery in Windsor, VT- This is a great place in the middle of nowhere- very familiar to regulars of Harpoon in Boston. We ordered the fried pickles, the tenders, and the pretzel. The pretzel was a bit tough on this day, but otherwise great. The beers are always fantastic. We sat at the bar and the service couldn't have been better. All in all a great meal, and would highly recommend!

I think I found my new favorite spot in the upper valley! Perfectly located next to the river, Harpoon was our first stop after coming off our day of lazy tubing. Pro tip- we mixed the cider and the blueberry beer and it made a really nice almost sour ale. You go here for the beer and the ambiance. Great spot to hang in the summer months. They have so much outdoor space including a fire pit and patio. They also have trivia nights! Curious to visit in winter, will be back!

Once again trying out Harpoon Brewery at their Windsor location. I have have had good luck with with Harpoon in the past and this experience was no exception to this positive trend of experiences. Steve and I had their New England Pale Ale which we both really enjoyed a lot! Flavor features to find with this beer are hoppy and juicy. It is light bodied and comes across as very refreshing and is bright in color. A very pleasant drinking experience with Harpoon once again! Cheers!

I wanted to like this place, but not sure I can. The beer is good. The chili is good. The burger is a bit greasy on the bottom. I know it's a brewery so of course they want you to order beer, but note that if you order anything else to drink (tea, coffee, etc) there are no free refills. The service could have been better.

I'm not a beer drinker but everyone else like their beers. The food was good and my kids had fun on the playground.

Nice place to grab a beer. They have a full bar as well as a dinning room. Service was efficient and food came promptly.

Just don't get the Dunkin collab but besides time was a flavorful journey through craft beers and savory dry rub tendies. So nice that I almost bought some merch. Food: UFO blonde ale - 5/5 One of my faves from the upper valley, a classier version of a blue moon Dry rub tenders- 4.5/5 Ask for their special rub on the menu, you will be in love. Be careful who you bring though, keep it too secret- it's just that good Ambiance: Good vibes all round, think you can grab a boat and hit the up the river on most days which is cool

Maybe it was a bad day for the kitchen. 50 minutes for two salads with grilled chicken seemed a bit too long of a wait for me. Our server told us we had to understand because we got a pretzel appetizer, which was made fresh that day, and salads. That's why it took so long. Got a strawberry salad. A few bites in and there were no strawberries left. Our sever told us they usually go too light on the strawberries when she asked how it was. In the end , she took our 2 drinks off our tab which was nice. And... the pretzel was delicious. But, we can't say we will be running back here for food any time in the near future! The campus is fun- with a distillery, a shop of home made preserves and a dispensary in addition to the brewery. Just don't plan on a meal unless you have lots of time to spare!

Finally made it here and so glad we did. Inside and outdoor dining. Great service. Lawn games and play set for kids. Allows dogs in the outside and provides water bowls for your canine companions. They offer beer flights. We had the fish and chips and they were amazing. I highly recommend them. Easily shared by 2. I had the burrito bowl w pork. I was disappointed in the pork. I was thinking it would be a marinated pork but it ended up being pulled BBQ pork. That flavor did not go w a traditional burrito bowl. I would recommend the chicken added. The bowl is on the smaller side. The boneless tenders were excellent. We had the root beer sauce. Blue cheese dressing was just ok. No chunks and lacked creaminess consistency. The clam chowder was out of this world and definitely tasted homemade.

One of the perfect apres ski and apres snowmobile places in the middle Connecticut Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont is not in a ski area itself but just down the intersection of I-89 and I-91 in Windsor VT. An awesome spot to relax, chat with friends, drink excellent brews, and savor some excellent cuisine. That is at the Harpoon Brewery. Returning home after a great ski day, we stopped at Harpoon to savor its offerings. During Winter, the fire pit outside is definitely on. And nearby the pit, six heated Harpoon Huts that sit six people each, are available by reservation, as well as the large, twelve-person Catamount Cabin. All are heated, supplied with Bluetooth speakers, service call buttons and card games. Still, there is plenty of indoor seating and reservations are always accepted. We walked in and had no problem seating. Another reason to patronize Harpoon Brewery is that it is employee owned. Every full-time employee at Harpoon (which includes their Massachusetts headquarters and brewery site) is vested with an increasing number of shares as the company repays the loan they acquired in 2014 to allow this to happen. As a result, there is ample motivation for employees to be at their best, which shows in the service, brew quality and food preparation. Another salient reason: $1 per pint of Harpoon IPA is donated to the Vermont African American Heritage Trail. One awesome reason to go there. We came over and tried and shared glasses of Imperial IPA, Catamount IPA, Space Cake IPA, and a guava IPA. All were absolutely superb. For main courses, our party flavored their B-Y-O cheeseburger with Cabot Cheese AND Caramelized onions. Yummmmmm. We also tried their Smoke Pork Cuban, a Cuban-infused delicacy on stirato bread. This was absolutely delicious. And of course, their pulled pork on a Portuguese roll. And one more ordered the Vermont Salad. Just the Cabot Cheese and walnuts on it made it succulent. After a full ski day, this was a slice of heaven with friends, great food and brews.

Beer, bar food, outside patio on a good day? Yes please! We came to grab some beers and a light snack. My husband got their IPAs and I got their cider. We both liked our drinks. We started with the wings. Man these were humongous!! We got buffalo and they were good. We also shared a Rueben sandwich. They split the Rueben on different plates and it was pretty good. It looks like they were setting up for live music. There's a huge patio outside and plenty of parking.

While on our New England road trip we drove over to Windsor to check out Harpoon Brewery. We only waited about 5-10 minutes for a table. We decided to sit outside on the patio since it was a gorgeous day. I absolutely loved the weather and view! The patio was the perfect spot to enjoy a beer. I ordered the UFO Maine Blueberry, hubby ordered the UFO White - both were refreshing and favorites of ours. We shared an order of pretzel bites and the Buffalo sauced chicken tenders. The pretzel bites were deep fried and super delicious. Fantastic dipped in the beer cheese! You can't go wrong with Buffalo sauced chicken tenders. They had a nice Buffalo flavor and good spice level. The chicken tenders were juicy and crispy. I really enjoyed the Jonas sauce, sweet and spicy. The service was friendly and fast, too. I would definitely recommend Harpoon!

Stopped into the taproom this weekend and enjoyed the UFO Strawberry Lemonade shandy with some Buffalo wings. Beth was an excellent bartender! Actually you probably will not find better than Beth! The atmosphere was friendly with outdoor and indoor seating. They even had music on Saturday outdoors. Purchased a great soft sweatshirt at the gift shop too! You can even visit other stores next door! A must visit!

We had visited a museum in nearby Windsor, VT and it was lunchtime. We had debated visiting Artisan Park anyway, so we drove up to begin the visit at this restaurant. The collection of shops and restaurants is just down a hill from the highway. The signage is a bit confusing and there seemed to be more than one brewery (?). We parked near what we thought was the restaurant, but found the place closed. Then we drove across a couple of small parking lots and found the right place. You walk around the patio to enter the building. Then you double back along a short glassed hallway to the large dining area / bar. The patrons when we ate here (on a weekday for lunch) seemed about equally divided between the 4-person tables and seats at the long bar. I'm not sure how many were here just for beers, but we just wanted food. I think we both got sandwiches - I don't recall specifically what I got but I think it was okay. Neither of us had a beer. There was nothing to dislike about the place, but I don't recall much about the meal even though it was 3 weeks ago. We did not end up exploring more of the purported sculpture garden as we headed out right after the lunch to a nearby National Historic Site involving sculpture instead.

Great lunch or dinner stop and they have a wide selection of Harpoon Beers on tap. In this same location short walking distance to other craft retailers that are great business location to shop or just browse.

Great service with good seasonal beers which can't be beat. Casual atmosphere. I only had beers so I can't comment on the food but it looked good!

During our stay in Vermont in the summer, we visited Harpoon Brewery for some beer tasting. We had a reservation, which was required at that time, no matter if it was during peak or off-peak hours. We were greeted warmly, and taken to our seat right away. We could see the brewery behind the store, and it would have been really cool to get a tour of the place. But, due to the pandemic, they were not offering tour at that time. They offer flight of beer here, and you get to choose four different kinds of beer. They come in 6 oz glasses, plased on the tray in a shape of harpoon. Since it is not recommend to consume alcohol in empty stomach, and we were there for lunch anyways, we ordered some hearty dishes. I went with a BYO Burger that comes with chips, but substituted Fries for another $2. It was a good burger, not great, but good. My hubby went with Texas-Style Brisket Sandwich. He wasn't feeling the side of chips either, so, without really reading the menu, he substituted with coleslaw. But it already comes with a side of coleslaw, so he got double the coleslaw! LOL. The brisket was dry... Not a good sandwich... Stick with snacks and beer at a brewery... The beers, on the other hands, were GREAT! We enjoyed all the ones we tasted. And we even added two more tasting, since you can order 6 oz size individually. We decided to buy a pack of most unique one, Dragon Weisse home with us. The server told us that we can put in an order with him, so that we don't have to go to the store side and pay separately. We did just that, and he brought us the 4-pack to our table. Nice service! Our server was very friendly and attentive, efficient service. We were well taken care of. It was a fun visit, and we enjoyed all the beer we tried. Again, not the best food, but hey, they are brewery, focused on beer, not food.

Everything was fine, however, DO NOT order the pork belly burnt ends. They cube 1.5x.75 " cubes of fat and serve them. It was disgusting and entirely unhealthy. That end fat has to be discarded. There was zero meat attached, just a pure cube of pig fat.

Good Food , Good Service , reasonable prices. Gyro was good, Get rid of lettuce you tomato, red onion and taziki on a warm pita, guaranteed success this way. Use hand cut fries

I continue to love Harpoon Brewery in Windsor, VT. The brewery is very family & pet friendly. There is a variety of seating inside and out. The beer is stellar with so many varieties that there is something for everyone. The bartenders are very helpful with making choices for a selection and will give you a taste to make up your mind. I have enjoyed the food there. And, events are so much fun, particularly Oktoberfest. I always look forward to visiting when in the area.

Food delicious, great beer, and the staff is fantastic. Not much else to stay. Must go to type place.

The Brewery, just about a mile off I-91, is still a fun place for eating and drinking and just enjoying life. The beers are wonderful -- we prefer the Classic IPA -- and there are lots of choices. The burgers are very tasty but not exceptional, and so are the wings; it seems all good pub-style food. The servers are a friendly group, too. And we really love the outdoor patio and tent seating though the inside is attractive and clean if just a bit on the noisy side. Every time we visit Vermont we make a point of stopping by here. And now that most of the adjacent shops are open, there's even more to do when you visit.

Back a little over a year later at Harpoon VT and things are a bit different. You definitely want to make a reservation if you want table service and to eat from the full menu. They do allow take away that you can bring to the many picnic tables on the property, but it's a very limited food menu. We got lucky as we asked for the patio (since we have our dog - and they're VERY dog friendly outdoors) and they had a large party that was a no-show. When you make a reservation you only have 15 minutes after your arrival before they give it away. So sorry to that group but a win for us! We were still impressed with their food this time around. We had to order the nachos again since they were incredible and also got some of their specials: fried green beans and pizza rolls! Next time we gotta order a burger or sandwich cause as we saw them come out to other groups, they looked so good! Love when breweries have good food! Another thing to mention is the food prices are kinda high, but the beer prices are amazing. Only $5 - $6 for a beer. Love that!

Adorable outdoor area with firepit, picnic tables, corn hole, and can jam. Food was surprisingly good although kitchen got backed up since it was Friday night at like 6pm...oh and on that note, they close up at 8pm so plan accordingly. Good times!

Preface: we didn't drink, and I know they're known for their brewery Overall... The sweet potato fries were good. But the nachos actually were just a pile of sour cream and salsa. The Wagyu burger I would give a three out of five. The loaded, baked potato, not sure how you can mess that up. It was normal. The Philly cheesesteak was also not good. I really like supporting local businesses, but something was just off with the food today. Didn't look like the pictures online. Service was good and ambiance is super cute!

While on vacation in Vermont we dined at the the Harpoon Brewery. It was during Covid so we made reservations which was a great idea. Upon entering you go through the lobby where there are many beers displayed then you enter an area where you can purchase cases of beer. The dining area is over to the left and a bar as long as the dining area. There is also outside dining. We were seated upon entering and ordered a beer each. I had the UFO Pumpkin, my wife, the UFO Light Force, my daughters, the UFO Raspberry and UFO Marie Blueberry. All were good, mine was awesome. We had two orders of Fish & Chips, Black Bean Burger and a Cheese Wood Fire Pizza. All our food was great and the beers washed it down very nicely. The staff was very efficient and polite even though we were from out of town they still treated us like regulars. We have been up here twice in the last 2 years and have been here 4 times. It's Awesome food, beer and service we really enjoy so we make it a point to come here. Upon leaving we purchased several cases of beer and they gave us a discount for dining in. It was just great and we walked away with some beer to bring home back to NY.

To die for cheese fries, beer flights, lots of fun stuff in the same complex for kids and grownups (Simon Pearce outlet, specialty preserves store)...I'm a fan! Get anything with the cheddar ale cheese sauce. Cheese steak was solid (next time, would ask for some hot sauce); double-fried fries were excellent; pulled pork and grief chicken sandwiches were so-so (next time will try one of the turkey sandwiches or let's be honest, just cheese fries for my meal).

Awesome experience yesterday at Harpoon. I had seen that this location existed when I went tubing next door in the summer of 2019 and would have loved to stay and listen to the live music and have some beers, but my friends needed to get back to Burlington. Their winter warmer is one of my favorite seasonal beers and I wanted to try some of their other specialty beers, plus grab a meal. I followed their COVID guidelines and made an easy reservation via OpenTable. We each tried 4 beers (the Dunkin Donut Boston Creme Stout was my favorite, although the Haze Double IPA was also quite good) and I ordered the southern fried buttermilk brined chicken sandwich with seasoned waffle fries while my friend ordered the turkey sandwich special (that also donated $2 to the local food bank, well done, Harpoon) and the poutine waffle fries. The food was delicious; my fried chicken was very good and I can see why they offer fried chicken dinners. I was very tempted to order one for taking home. My friend loved his lunch as well; the potion gravy-I dipped one of my fries into it and I must not have gotten sufficient of an amount, because I didn't taste it. He loved it though. I bought a 6-pack of winter warmer to go plus a couple individual cans of their Pecan Porter, a Guava/Mango/Pineapple IPA, and a chocolate porter. Our service was fantastic and we loved our server. She was very helpful and attentive, checking on us a few times. I got confused when she was still taking our order and a beer flight came out; I hadn't observed that she was using an electronic pad and the other server who brought it, joked with me that they are all robots and speedy as a result. The staff behind the bar was just as friendly and nice. I'll come back the next time we go tubing next door and hopefully by then, which should be next summer, we can enjoy just listening to the live music and eating well. One can only hope and dream.

We had such a nice time here; service was welcoming & knwledgeable. Our server really made it a pleasure. And the food was great! My friend & I shared two different sandwiches, both amazing (sorry I can't remember which ones) It was a good end to visiting Simon Pearce, the jam shop and the dispensary

The harpoon brewery is a really fun and welcoming experience. They have indoor seating, outdoor seating and little huts available to reserve. If you're going on a weekend, I highly recommend reservations. They've got a good menu with a lot of options. It is mostly typical bar food, but all of it is good and many of the items are made with the different beers that are available that month. The giant pretzel, monster chicken wings, and poutine are must haves from the appetizer menu. The Ruben sandwich is a winner and the fries, with that little dusting of corn starch, are excellent. I am a big fan of the beet salad, and all the burgers and sandwiches we have tried are really delicious too. If you can get a reservation for outside during the spring and summer months, I highly recommend it. It's a beautiful location and the outdoor seating is really nice.

Came here to get a drink with my wife. They thought I was a student and denied giving us our orders despite having IDs. This place needs to be shut down, management has been awful my last two visits.

We absolutely loved our dining experience at Harpoon Brewery! First of all the location is amazing. We have a toddler (and baby), and the playground, cornhole, frisbee and just general space to run around while we waited for food was beyond perfect. The staff was also so friendly and accommodating! As a family with young kids I know our needs can be a little extra work and our waitress and other staff was phenomenal. Plus the food was delicious!! We hope to be back next time we visit the area

Easy access off 91. Nice tent, with tables socially distanced. It was a good place for lunch, the food and service were very good. The turkey sandwich was very good with lots of flavor. Strawberry salad was made well with a sprinkle of cheese & nuts. Quite a few beers on tap. The store was open, bonus for some favorite beers to go.

What an adorable brewery with amazing Boston beers, and so much different from the one in Boston (yet the same, great, soft pretzel ). I'm so glad we had the chance to stop here in the summer, there's really cute outdoor seating complete with a fire pit and cornhole (of course)! It's also in a courtyard area complete with a small, local cheese shop, a distillery and a little outdoor shop. The brewery has a super cute gift shop, (I had to buy one of their adorable sweatshirts), and the place itself is painted in beautiful blues, yellows, and oranges, I felt like I was in a 1st grade classroom, super cute and friendly. We sat at the bar and split a flight and nice warm pretzel complete with cheese sauce and Dijon mustard. What a perfect afternoon!

Great food, excellent service! Tasty beers! While in the Windsor area my family and I enjoyed multiple visits to the Harpoon Brewery and enjoyed the live music and the outdoor seating as well! Thumbs up!

A solid VT brewery. They have all sorts of events, including trivia Wednesdays and a popular Octoberfest. Beer selection is big, it being a brewery. Solid variety of beers including seasonal beers or ones only served on site. They even had growler cans for beer to-go. Food is decent. There's nothing that special but I had a hot chicken sandwich here that knocked my socks off. Definitely pairs well with the beers. All in all, great VT brewery. Less pretentious than other breweries I've visited, solid atmosphere, good staff, and like 5 minutes from the highway.

The setting and ambience are great, food is good too but the service was beyond bad. After being seated for about 10 minutes and the waitress (Theresa) serving the tables around us, she finally acknowledged us but claimed she didn't see us seated in her section! I have trouble believing that because I made eye contact with her behind the bar and she immediately gathered the silverware and plates for the two of us but stopped at her 4 other tables to checkin on them first. To add insult to injury, she took but forgot to place our orders. While I was in the bathroom she came by and informed my 10 yr old son that she had got distracted and wanted to verify if she remembered what we wanted. She then appeared at the table with a soft drink we didn't order. For the food, my son got his cheese burger minus the cheese, overcooked not medium as ordered. To the waitresses credit she realized there was no cheese as she placed the plate down and then brought out a slice of cheese on a plate. I didn't receive my appetizer of clam chowder until the end of the meal. No apologies, nothing offered to be removed from the check. I understand we all have bad days but how this was handled, is a shame.

I was so excited to visit this place, especially seeing all of the beers they have on tap. We were seated by the wood stove which was nice and cozy. They have their regular menu and then some weekly items and then, the beer menu- front and back of glorious holy water options. There are some chalk boards around the restaurant with flight options, but you can also make your own. We made our own- twice and still didn't try all of the beers. I could've stayed there all day but I am unsure if they have Uber haha. For a meal I had the power salad which was kale, quinoa, black beans, bell peppers and a vinaigrette dressing. It was a very large portion, but pretty bland- needed some other sort of seasoning to it. My husband and aunt had their weekly special of the salmon burger. Very flavorful and the fries were my favorite kind- double fried so they are extra crispy. Service started to slow down towards the end, but it was packed and there was a wait (it was MLK day). Took a bit of time to get water refills and the check, but it was understandable. Make sure you walk into the bottling area- very cool to see that huge of a production going on and the wonderful malty smell. They do tours on Fri-Sun "every hour, on the hour". Wish they did it on holidays as well. Oh, well. There is also a store where you can buy just about anything you can think of from a puffy jacket to a dog leash and quilted blanket. Very neat place! Parking just seems to fill up fast.

Live music, outdoor seating, great ambience, beer and food! Hard to go wrong! People dance out on the green, and I find it very enjoyable to be there with friends or family.

Very good pub food and good standard brews. Often hit on our way to or from Stowe. Live in NYC. Beautiful outdoor seating.

The service was excellent and the food and beer was even better. All the restaurants I've been to here have a tendency to bread their buffalo wing but they are still delicious My main course was the mixed Charcuterie tray. It came with three meats capacola, salami, and prosciutto and 4 cheeses that are locally made. The Swiss knock off was my favorite, and I am not a Swiss fan. There was a brea, Gouda, and local blue cheese that was heaven on a cracker. I love a place that does beer flights. I got to taste 8 of the beers and choose my favorites. The house golden is my favorite but the cider was good as well as the UFO white. Not a huge fan of beers with a high IBU rating too bitter a finish for my taste. That being said the harpoon dark has a good start but finished too bitter I would definitely return and try some of their other food and beer selections. All the dishes I saw served as I ate looked very appetizing and the waitresses and staff were very attentive.
