Guy Fieri Opens Restaurant at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in North Carolina | Eater Carolinas

"Located in Cherokee, North Carolina in the Great Smoky Mountains, Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort is an enterprise of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and already houses several dining options; Guy Fieri’s Cherokee Kitchen + Bar will join restaurants such as Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and Wicked Weed Brewpub alongside a few quick‑bite outlets." - Erin Perkins

⭐ 3.5 out of 5 stars Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort is a beautiful property surrounded by amazing mountain scenery and close to plenty of unique shops on the reservation. The casino itself is nice, and the employees were all friendly and helpful. We stayed overnight for the first time, and while our room in the Cherokee Tower was clean and spacious, it definitely felt dated and could use some redecorating and updating. The only rooms available at the time were smoking rooms, but staff went out of their way to treat it with ozone spray to help with the smoke smell, which was appreciated. It is quite a walk from the rooms to the casino floor, so be prepared to do a bit of walking. Food options are somewhat limited, but we really enjoyed Gordon Ramsay Burger, and our favorite meal was actually at the Asian noodle spot inside the casino. As for the gaming, the slot machines felt pretty tight and it was tough to win much on the tables. Still, we had a good time overall and will definitely be back for the friendly atmosphere and beautiful surroundings

🎰 Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort – Real-World Review 🚗 Getting There: The Ride from Pigeon Forge Brace yourself for a high-responsibility, curvy ride through the Smoky Mountains. The drive from Pigeon Forge to Cherokee is scenic but winding, with elevation changes and tight turns that demand full attention—especially if you're coordinating a group or traveling with kids. Budget extra time and consider motion comfort strategies if anyone’s sensitive to road curves. 🏗️ Current Status: Under Remodel As of late 2025, the casino is undergoing renovations, which may affect layout flow and some amenities. Expect construction zones and temporary signage, but the core gaming and dining experiences remain operational. Staff are generally helpful in navigating the changes. 🅿️ Parking & Arrival - Plenty of parking—multi-level garages and surface lots make arrival easy, even for larger vehicles or groups. - Valet options available, though self-park is efficient and well-lit. 🏨 Hotel & Amenities - The hotel is massive, with multiple towers and a range of room types. Great for families, couples, or travel medics on rotation. - Rooms are clean, modern, and spacious—some with mountain views. - On-site spa, pool, and fitness center offer solid downtime options. 🍽️ Dining & Things to Do - Restaurants range from quick bites to upscale dining. Notable options include: - Brio Italian Grille – reliable pasta and steak - Selu Garden Café – buffet-style with Southern comfort staples - Lobby Café – grab-and-go sandwiches and coffee - Plenty to do beyond gaming: - Bowling alley and arcade for families - Concerts and events in the on-site theater - Nearby hiking and cultural sites (Museum of the Cherokee People is worth a stop)

My husband and I stayed here for the first time a couple months ago. When we pulled up it was beautiful at the front of the hotel. They obviously put a lot of money into it. The front desk area… luxury hotel. The rooms… 🤢 Okay, I can’t go that far. They weren’t terrible but they definitely spent their money on everything EXCEPT the rooms. Rooms are pretty clean, I guess. Hard to tell sometimes because the room was so outdated. For as much money as they surely rake in they can afford to update the rooms from the 80’s feel they have now. Maaaybe 90s. Called the front desk at one point because I spilled a drink. I cleaned it up as quickly as I could but the fabric on the chair worried me. I told them what happened and someone was supposed to come up. We finally got tired of waiting, on no one apparently, so we finally left. It was nice having food options 24 hours (although if I were gordon Ramsey I would NOT let my name be attached to that pizza place. 🤮) and the casino, well, it was a casino. Not the best I’ve ever seen but I haven’t been to many. There was a certain smoking area on a balcony that had a beautiful view. Overall, IF we ever decide to come back to the casino (because we will definitely be back to the area, it’s beautiful) we will stay somewhere else and walk there. Not worth the price.

I've been coming to this casino for many years. I'm glad to see that it has grown and improved the customer experience. I always feel safe here, and for the most part the bathrooms are clean. There are plenty of game options, and the player offers and rewards through the Caesar Rewards program are very nice. Hopefully, I will be able to use the flight and room packages that I have been receiving so by mail. I would like to be able to enjoy every one of the amenities that Harrah's has generously offered me as a player. The commute to the casino's location is long, but it is beautiful and scenic!

Google
I rated the location as a 5 because it's the closest real casino tonus in Georgia. The rooms are fine nothing spectacular and they need a really good dusting especially above bed and curtains, also in hallways and elevator waiting area. The service is usually friendly and fast. The weekend rates are ridiculous and honestly no room is worth the weekend rates. The poker room is good and the noodles bar is delicious! The only restaurant at Cherokee that I would highly recommend is Brio, delicious entrees!

It pains me to leave this review but I feel I have to. I’ve been coming here with my family for years and within the last year the whole experience has went downhill. The rooms are dirty and falling apart. This trip out toilet constantly ran and the beds are visibly falling apart and the curtains are dry rotted and ripping. The food is expensive but in the past you’ve gotten a fair portion and it was delicious. Tried the Asian food restaurant and laid 18 dollars for 6 pieces of mediocre chicken and maybe a cup of plain white rice. All of this I could forgive but believe me when I say this place has the absolute tightest slots I’ve ever experienced. I’m more that happy to lose, I understand the casino always has the advantage but this is extreme. I’m well versed on slot rtp and the math behind the machines and even when playing low volatility slots often you will absolutely lose every time. Three trips in a row everyone losing no matter what and not seeing anyone win we are now forced to find another place to play. We love this beautiful location but the impossible gambling odds, the quite literally falling apart rooms and elevators and the extreme decrease in value in food is unacceptable. I hope all this changes for the better but until it does we will be finding another property in the Caesar’s franchise.

I REALLY hate leaving bad reviews but this is too much! First, we were charged WAY too much money to be put in what had to have been mistaken for a broom closet at some point. It clearly should not have been a guest hotel room, that anyone has to actually pay hard earned money to stay in! We were given the WRONG room, in the wrong tower? At the time, I did not know this because it was supposed to be a surprise for me for my birthday! It wasn’t until the next AM that I found out what happened! When we mentioned to the customer service person as we were checking out, she said, oh, sorry, have a great day! WHAT! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? So, we did get a questionnaire. No response. It’s been 4 days. So, I am leaving this review. The food was great. The shopping too. Make sure to have reservations if you want a table at any restaurant. Also, here are photos of the Mountain View that we were supposed to have. I am beyond livid with THIS!

Google
Such a beautiful place to stay! We have stayed here a couple times and it’s always so nice! We love the convenience of being in the same building as the hotel so we can come and go as we want and not have to worry about driving anywhere! Plenty of room to have play time without having huge crowds around you, there is a smoking room with slot machines if you are a smoker! Lots of places to sit outside by the water and enjoy the view and get fresh air! Outside pool is big as well and plenty of room to enjoy it!

Yelp
I like coming here. This would have definitely gotten a 5 star if they brought back their buffet. That was always packed and was always so good. After covid, they did away with it and opened multiple restaurants where the buffet was at. Their other restaurants in there are good but the buffest was where it was at. Gambling, it's a hit or miss. Sometimes they open a section near the side where they have live performances but I'm not sure when they do. That side of the tables was where I like playing the most. Hopefully they have more tables open with smaller minimum.

Yelp
I am stunned that this hotel is sitting at a 2.5 star rating !! Admittedly, I was not expecting much from this hotel, but boy was I surprised!! A friend invited me to join her on a quick get away from Atlanta. This is about a 3 hour drive from metro Atlanta. We arrived on a Thursday and stayed until Saturday. Let's take a step back. When you arrive at this hotel you may be shocked to learn that parking is FREE! Yes you read that correctly- 100% free! We utilized the front desk staff to check in because we did have one thing to address regarding our reservations that we booked in app. The manager that assisted us did make the situation right!! Of note, they do have kiosk that you can use to check in and check out. Once we were checked in , we did have to drive to the parking deck for the Mountain tower. The mountain tower is completely renovated and exceeded my expectations! When I walked into my room I was blown away by the size of the room. It is basically like a studio! It was evident that the rooms were updated! They were also clean and free of any smoke smell!! In addition to this hotel offering amazing rooms, they have an indoor pool, two gyms ( mountain tower gym is older). I highly recommend if staying in the mountain tower walk to the new tower to enjoy the new gym. They also have two outdoor pools for the warmer months, a spa on site, several dinning options, a comedy zone, shops, a bowling alley and entertainment center and of course a casino! We did not leave this hotel until we checked out on Saturday- there honestly is no need to! Overall I think this hotel makes for an amazing get away. There is something for everyone to enjoy themselves. I personally enjoyed sitting in front of the fir pit, the food court, the gym and the casino. When I return I plan to treat myself to a spa service!

Yelp
Customer Service: 5 Location: 5 Parking: 5 Cleanliness: 5 We have been to this tea several times. lots to see and do in all seasons. Absolutely beautiful driving thru the mountains. The Cherokee casino yesterday, for an evening of fun. We've visited the casino a few times over the past few years. All the staff that we came in contact with, were very friendly and helpful. The entire facility was very clean and well maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. They have several restaurants to choose from, No dinner buffet, only during breakfast. We has dinner at Brio an Italian restaurant. The food was yummy and bar service was good. Parking is stressful free and free. Overall, we had a great time playing some games and we didn't loose to much, LOL! Wonderful Weekend getaway thru Asheville and Cherokee NC!

Yelp
We really enjoyed the casino here, but did not stay at the resort, so I can't comment on the rooms or any portion of the hotel. The parking is a little confusing for the garages, we drove around a few times because we accidentally happened upon exit only places. The casino itself is very clean and I really enjoyed it. We also did the bowling upstairs before dinner and had a good time, it is a small bowling alley and they have cheap drinks available.

Yelp
My recent stay at Harrah's Casino Resort in Cherokee, NC, was a delightful mix of luxury and leisure, offering a plethora of amenities that catered well to both relaxation and entertainment needs. The resort boasts an expansive and elegantly decorated space that instantly uplifts your mood with its luxurious decor. It truly is a one-stop destination, providing not only plush lodging but also a wide array of dining options, diverse gaming opportunities, and live entertainment--all under one roof. The property is thoughtfully designed with plenty of cozy seating areas scattered throughout, perfect for some downtime. Pet lovers will appreciate the pet-friendly policy, ensuring no family member is left behind. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, which is a big plus after a long day of fun. Security is tight and commendable, with age restrictions diligently enforced, ensuring a safe environment for all guests. The rooms were well-maintained, the casino offered a variety of games, and the bowling was not only fun but also reasonably priced. Adding to the convenience, self-parking at the resort is FREE, which is a significant perk for those driving in. On the dining front, while the food was of high quality, the cost was on the higher side, averaging about $40 per meal including drinks and tip, which might not appeal to everyone. The location, although scenic, poses a challenge for those unaccustomed to mountainous driving, especially at night when the absence of cellular signals can be a bit daunting. Additionally, the lack of fast-food options nearby might be a downside for some. Lastly, the method of contacting the front desk via a texting service rather than a direct phone call might not be everyone's preference, though it modernizes guest service interaction. Overall, Harrah's Casino Resort stands out for its comprehensive offerings that brilliantly blend luxury with fun, making it a worthy consideration for those planning a trip to the area. Its proximity to local attractions like Dollywood and the Tanger Outlets adds to its allure, making it a convenient base for exploring the greater Cherokee region.

Yelp
Kind of a mixed bag. Our room & stay were wonderful! But the casino is just so big that it's easy to get lost! Also, one of the security guards that lets you in the casino was downright rude! We said "Hello," and no response. Just a glare. (No we weren't silly and we hadn't been drinking) we told him to have a good day, and still just a glare. Someone that hates their job that much shouldn't be in customer service. Everyone else we encountered was very pleasant! For the most part, the machines seemed pretty tight. One member of our group did well on the poker machines at the bar, but the rest of us left with less than we came with.

Yelp
Selu Garden Cafe started our mornings at Harrah's Casino just right! Great food, but one less star because meals not hot. But still good. Southern comfort foods but especially the biscuits!

Yelp
Spent several days at Harrah's in the new tower. Everything was lovely except valet parking! I DO NOT recommend letting anyone in your vehicle. I had a pair of Cartier sunglasses taken by a valet person and I am very upset about it.

Yelp
Harrahs Cherokee Casino is a great get away in the mountains! The hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious. All of the staff that I have encountered have been friendly. The only downside is the hotel has a lot of food options but I didn't find any of it to be great... Casino is awesome with many slots and tables to choose from. The tower we stayed in was called the cherokee tower and it was a bit of a walk to the casino. Next time will stay in a closer tower.

Yelp
I did not stay at the resort but did visit the casino for a few days. This is a very impressive resort. Very stunning location. It is larger than I was expecting (That's what she said!). The place has lots of card tables, other table games, and a ton of slots. There is also a sports betting section. Bring cash because the few ATMs at this place charge $9 a transaction. Drinks at the bars were good but expensive (expected). My only complaint is on Saturday nights it is hard as hell to get a drink. Long lines at the bars. Very hard to flag down a server on the floor. Overall I had a great time. I'm not a big gambler but I did have fun.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my trip. Saw Buddy Guy awesome show. Had dinner at the Noodle Bar and enjoyed it. Played some games didn't win but enjoyed the variety and the 3:2 Blackjack payouts. The property is the nicest casino or resort I've been on. The Cherokee influence can be felt.
google avatar

Brad H.

Yelp
It's a casino so come prepared to loose your money and loose it fast. On my visit the food court was closed and the rewards club is in a very inviting glass room that is hard to find and feels more like a complaint desk than a huge marketing opportunity. There is a wonderful HVAC ventilation system with little smells but the whole vibe just felt quiet and depressing- no music and the machines were not paying so no machine psychology noise. What really needs improvement is the rewards desk- make this exciting make people want to come here verses looking like a depressing room even the casino begs you won't want to visit

Yelp
My experience with Selu Garden Cafe is very pleasant and friendly from the hostess to the server. Karen, stand out alot wih patience amd working diligently. She's been with the company for over twenty years. She is A-plus with this establishment. My food was delicious and the atmosphere is pleasant.
google avatar

Cindi W.

Yelp
Check in was easy. Lobby and hotel rooms were very well decorated. Room was clean but everywhere else was dirty. Tables weren't wiped off, carpets everywhere needed to be vacuumed. Elevators were all dirty. Spilt drinks on floor and just trash everywhere. Casino was big and a lot of slots and assorted table games. Lots to do. Food options were plenty but the quality of food was iffy.

Yelp
Tyler at Harrahs Casino is beyond amazing! His bellhop service is top-notch and truly exceptional. Every interaction with Tyler leaves a lasting impression of professionalism and friendliness. If you're looking for outstanding service at Harrahs, Tyler is the guy to see! I'll be back because of him

Trey W.

Yelp
Better not come here if you're below 50 or else security is going to be asking for your ID every 5 minutes. Got ID'd 15 times in 3 hours on the gaming floor. Either up your security at the gate or get them off everyone's back once they are in. Couldn't recommend less.

Dustin P.

Yelp
Security guards try way too hard and ask for ID way too often. Once you're on the gaming floor they still keep asking for ID.

Yelp
So, we had reservations. The tub had hair and other foreign particles. I advised what I believe to be a Artificial Intelligence (bot) who offered to send someone to clean but I had already cleaned it. We called the Wicked Weed for 20 minutes thinking maybe it' would be pretty crowded. It wasn't, they just chose NOT to take (To Go Orders) which by the way are $7.99 to be delivered to your room plus a mandatory minimum gratuity of $5.60. We were not EVER told about a $37.50 resort charge until we did the self checkout. Worse weekend ever.
google avatar

Jeff G.

Yelp
Awful!! Hotel hallways are filthy. Carpet is old, torn, stained. Rooms are very underwhelming. The a lot machine jackpots are extremely small compared to the Seminole's and over 3 days did not see anyone win anything worth talking about. Will be my first and last trip here.
google avatar

Kristi B.

Yelp
I was here for a work trip and overall was very comfortable with the accommodations although I do feel like the rooms are in desperate need of a refurbishment. I was not in one of the newer towers and was on the 19th floor of what I assume is the original tower and the rooms definitely have the smell of an older non-refurbished room. While the room was incredibly spacious for just myself, I was surprised that even though there are signs everywhere stating there is no smoking in the resort, that's all I smell coming off of the elevator into my hallway. There are plenty of dining locations throughout the property, including locations, such as Guy Fieri's cherokee kitchen, Gordon Ramsay's, food, market, Brio, Ruth Chris and others. I did find for a casino resort that most of their dining option stopped at nine or 930. I did appreciate that you can scan a QR code to have food delivered to your room. I did find it odd though that you cannot do the same for liquor. Would have been nice to be able to order a glass of wine to my room and not have to walk all the way down to the food court area. The convention space while large definitely does not have some of the most up-to-date technology. This goes for the room as well. I was very shocked to check into my hotel room and find that the room itself had no USB ports to charge my phones. Instead, they had one of the old-school docking stations for a iPod/iPhone of the fourth or fifth generation. Definitely is in need of updating in the rooms.

Yelp
Can you add an all-new Cherokee-Italian Fusion menu? Experiment with tomatoes, blue corn/amaranth and bean pasta, Appalachian herbs and ingredients, Blue Corn Pizza, Appalachian salads and veggies, meaty and vegetarian Cherokee-Italian fusion foods, etc. And add an Appalachian forest-themed indoor "onsen spa"/artificial hot spring. Thanks.

Yelp
I'm not going to waste too much time on this review. If you want a spot that has outdated and unmaintained rooms, this is your spot! Peeling wallpaper, scuffs EVERYWHERE, squeaky doors that wake up the entire hall - this is kind of the norm! I've also NEVER been to an establishment with so many unkempt and slovenly employees. There are too many people working here (especially at the Front Desk and Security) that appear to not even shower/bathe. It's just not an enjoyable atmosphere here.

Tracy D.

Yelp
Very good customer service. As a handicapped individual the walk to the actual casino was very difficult. I wish the provide scooters at less than $100.

Yelp
My husband and I wanted to go to the Sunday brunch we saw advertised. We did not go to Casino and we stayed off site. From the time we walked in, and with every human encounter, no one was friendly or helpful. I think they forgot that they were in NC and we expect some southern hospitality, an occasional smile or "How do you do" would've been nice. We eventually ran into a security officer and he was. Oat helpful in getting us to the Gordan Ramsey cafe'. The "greeter" downstairs put her hand up to me to stop me from asking a question then proceeded to walk to someone else to come and help me. The cashier at the cafe' was in such a hurry (and the place wasn't even busy at that time) that she rushed us in deciding what we wanted to order and never once made eye contact, much less smiled. The person who gave us our food was most helpful, smiled, & engaged in eye contact while speaking. As a side note, the food was outstanding! A little pricey but that's to be expected in a place like that.

Yelp
It's a nice casino, nothing out of the ordinary compared to other casinos. If you're looking for a casino, this will fit the bill. I roughed up a $20.00 bill and enjoyed myself for the 90 minutes I was there. They have slots and table games in multiple pits. They also have a nice variety of food options, so you'll not go hungry. If you go, Good luck! :-)

Laurie W.

Yelp
tight machines, overpriced rooms. room itself was pretty disgusting and outdated. Food was not good, wont go back

Yelp
Very unfortunate experience booking a NYE event my husband and I were invited to. We've been going every month for 3 years, with friends and were invited to a VIP NYE dinner event. Used their text AI system and it didn't log our reservations but did for our friends. Even with the texts I have they did nothing to accommodate. Wouldn't even comp $100 dinner at another restaurant. Exec host admitted others had problems and they didn't like the system but still did nothing. Very unfortunate experience for a group who spends lots of money there every month, when it was their system that failed. :(

LadyV L.

Yelp
The rooms were very nice when I stayed, unfortunately I was shocked to learn they no longer have the restaurant. The food was delicious, and they had a variety of everything.
google avatar

Yelp
No Cherokee was wonderful. The food was really good. The people were very friendly and happy. It's a big place though.

Yelp
This was my first time at this particular casino up in the mountains of North Carolina and it was fun. The Harris Cheerokee Casino is on the reservation when you drive up to the Cheerokee county. It has a hotel on the reservation along with a event hall in the casino for concerts. Plus there are so many high end restaurants that I didn't get to check out because I was there just to gamble. All in all was a good place to spend the day losing ur money and eating well.
google avatar

Adam B.

Yelp
So, you definitely want to be in the Mountain Tower here, which is much newer. The rooms are huge and comfortable, if a little bland. The mattress gave a great night's sleep and the mini-fridge worked great. The casino is OK and does feel somewhat like the Vegas experience, in terms of the variety of games and the maze-like layout. But it's more akin to the older Vegas places and doesn't have much wow factor. I did enjoy all the dealers I encountered, who seemed to want to be helpful and encourage folks to have fun. The restaurant selection is really where this place falls short. Ruth's Chris is your best bet -- and it's fine, just not very exciting. Definitely ho-hum in the food department. What is nice is that parking is easy and free and they have an online check-in option. They will send you an email the morning of your check-in and you can complete the process online and then just stop by a kiosk in the lobby and scan a code to get your room number and key. As for casinos, this is pretty much the only option in the region and in some ways that is reflected in the offerings. But it's still worth a visit and the surrounding area is beautiful.
google avatar

Yelp
Always nice place to come if you want to do a close get a way from Augusta. Just remember it is the only Casino in town so the Casino usually wins. Get at restaurants. Ruth Cris, Gordon Ramsey, which we went to for dinner and lunch Gordon Ramsey has the BEST FRIED FISH. Seriously! We also went to Brio Italian Grille for dinner. DELICIOUS we used to come here for the fun, but the dinners are more 'profitable'. The local area also has so much to see and do as well as to purchase.come and see!

Yelp
Booking Beware Hotels in general have been going down in quality & service for the past decade, regardless of where & what part of the country you are in. They are also getting sneaky with thermostat settings, water settings etc... The Cherokee tower still remains a great venue, good quality but the service for their mistake was beyond words. We booked a room online nearly two months ago and when we arrived at about 10:30pm they stuck us in a handicap room, which is not what I paid for and designed for someone that is s handicap. Then they tried to blame us for their mistake, but fortunately we had the room receipt screenshot but we had to fight them every inch of the way.l as they treated us like they were doing us a favor for giving us what we actually paid for.., seriously, what the heck? Anyway, rooms are still nice, food is excellent. Though sadly, the slots are no longer enjoyable but that goes for most casinos as well. They (casinos) no longer allow a slow bleed, and the payouts are dismal if you are not betting a $1 a more per pull.... I miss the days when you could spend and lose a few hundred dollars, play for a a few hours doing it.... Those days are over & so is casinos owning their mistakes apparently

Yelp
We were in town for a friend wedding and pretty much all the guests said here which was great. They accommodated pretty much everyone in the same tower so it was easy to meet up. The interaction we had with employees of the resort were great. All very hopefully. We really only has one issue and that is that they do not turn the room around and we were not aware of that. So we had just called housekeeping for fresh towels. The casino is huge so make sure to say on the purple rug trail so you won't get lost in between the slots. It has a small food court for late night snacks. When I say small I mean there is a DD and Earl Sandwich Shop. There are a few restaurants on the resort and gift shops so you don't have to leave, but do explore the town if you get a chance. Check in and check out process was easy and quick.

Yelp
I brought my great aunt here and she thoroughly enjoyed herself. The casino is big with lots of options. The staff was friendly and helpful. They came around periodically to check if she needed anything. There were tons of machines with varying amounts to spend. I love the loyalty program. She ended up playing $100 worth of games for free. We stayed on the property in the convention center hotel. It was new and modern and I'm so glad I switched rooms before the stay. There were lots of eating choices. Not too easy to find healthy options. The food was good but not healthful. There was salad but the dressing was an issue. I plan to take her often and she's looking forward to returning.

Yelp
I traveled to the casino for a basketball tournament and they did not disappoint. This resort has everything you could think of. Gym, pool, various restaurants and a brewery, outdoor seating with fire pits, comedy club, shops, a bowling alley and more. Because of the tournament check in was a little hectic and the Starbucks line was always long but I'm sure during no events the lines are more decent. There are multiple hotel towers so depending on where you stay and what you'd like to do, you could have long walks. Buying everything on the resort can get expensive however there's a grocery store and eatery within minutes as well as a Walmart approx 30 minutes away. I'd heard great things about the casino but glad I was able to experience this myself. I will definitely be back next t time with a group of friends.

Yelp
everything was great except for the view from the room. I'm not much of a gambler just went to the casino hotel to meet some friends that were staying there for a day and I was very impressed by all of the staff was very friendly. It's non-smoking. It's clean. The room was modern my view was not very nice, but I I have a nice view at home and don't really care about the view.

Yelp
So I love the hotel!! However, the new up charge for early check in and late check out is ridiculous as much money as we spend. Restaurants and entertainment is great. Low payouts on slots. Love love noodle bar!!!

Yelp
The outside stream walk way is beautiful. Some of the common areas (lobby) are quite inspiring, however..... Major confusion with check in process. MULTIPLE TOWERS & parking garages In a few days stay, we witnessed (in passing) others, at least four (4) parties of people lost, upset, or confused by the check in process, as we too were able to check in @ kiosk, @ WRONG TOWER and parked FAR AWAY (only after being bogged down with luggage and dog!after a long drive ugh) ~Kiosks are not hospitality~ The key is having people properly incentivezed~that care ....to assist, and relay HELPFUL INFO! Rooms: eh...spacious but..the thermostats apparently don't work. It was cooler in the halls and elevator, than in our room. Pool: looked well kept, rentable towels Workout area: well kept Pet relief areas: less accomadating, small wood bark area, but made it work Cleaning staff: on our floor were friendly & cheerful. PROPERTY MANAGEMENT TEAM: TIPS, take note from other, more successful properties, to ensure repeat business. (ie. property this large would benefit from a televised in room infomercial regarding property, ammenities, etc) Also- when booking online, INFORM GUESTS, AHEAD OF TIME, re: check in to correct TOWER, VALET, room key to operate elevator inside etc USEFUL DETAILS. Make thing smooth for people to visit and spend. Not planning on going back.

Yelp
While the casino and the gambling is fantastic, there is room for improvement on the carousel bar, specifically with Ashley, or "Ash" as noted on her name tag. (Bartender at the circle bar) She was the bartender on the evening of September 3/early into the morning of September 4 and she was less to be desired. I witnessed her take an order for a Budlight from an older gentleman, and she did not give change. The older gentleman gave a $20 for the Budlight, (retails for $7) and did not give change...until the gentleman asked, and the rebuttal to that was "oh , I thought it was for a tip." She also was unpleasant to my party when trying to order a drink 2+ hours to last call. This ultimately resulted to my party going to an alternate bar to order a drink. She obviously did not respect, nor care for our patronage, and it resulted in us finding a different bar at the casino to get a drink. On a separate note, Justin, who was at the bar at the same time, treated us with dignity and respect, which was refreshing (as opposed to "Ash"). He deserves the ultimate praise for being hospitable for serving our party drinks. Justin was a wonderful pleasure to serve us, and is a model person for the job. "Ash," however, is less to be desired. I'm not sure how she still has a job after her commentary.

Yelp
This hotel is a dump! First off, don't book a room through any "third party agency" because if you do and you get a smoking room they will not change it; even when you didn't know you booked a smoking room. We asked and the response was because it was booked through a third party we can't change your room, which I found to be complete bull because they want you to book through them rather than Expedia. Also, realized non-smoking rooms are much more expensive than smoking rooms. They said we could ask for an ozone machine that is supposed to "clean the air quality," but it didn't do much. Thankfully, we didn't have heavy smokers next to us or across the hall. Second, the hotel housekeeping are still following Covid policies and will not clean your room until you have checked out. The check-in clerk did not mention this to us at all- so one morning we showered and put our dirty towels on the floor for fresh ones, went hiking all day at the Smokey Mountains, and came back to a dirty room. Finally, the amenities here are outdated and old. I would not recommend this place. I gave a rating of 2 stars for the casino restaurants, the staff who were nice, and the pool with pool bar (which is about 3 ft deep). If you want to eat at a restaurant and not the food court (which was pretty good) book a reservation.

Yelp
I love coming here to Harrah's! My husband gambles , and I spend the day in the Mandera Spa! It's so relaxing, and this time, my massage therapist, Annashia, literally gave me the best deep tissue massage I've ever had. I've had massages at many places, and she was absolutely the best. The spa facility is beautiful , clean and has separate men and woman's areas, but you can come together in the tea lounge, which features a fireplace and relaxing chairs. Highly recommend the spa for the non gamblers!

Yelp
Management should pay close attention to who works for them and the attitude of their staff towards customers, especially customers who leave tens of thousands of dollars in casinos for years and leave thousands for tips. I was involved in the gaming business and I know how just one silly, aggressive, unprofessional employee who has neither respect for others nor a sense of tact can spoil the whole impression. And I'm not talking about tipping positions like croupiers, waiters or housekeepers. There are no complaints about these guys, they did their job well, were attentive and friendly and, as always, made a good impression on me. But I will never go back to Harrahs again because of this person. She refused to give her last name, and refused to call her supervisor or manager, even though I asked her to do so many times. For this reason alone, I am posting her photo here. This woman took my driver license at the entrance to the casino and refused to give it back until the police arrived. For some reason, she decided that my license was fake, referring to the fact that I have a strange name, that I speak with an accent, and that it is written "temporary" on the license. When the police arrived, they forced her to give me my document back. No one apologized to me. And she refused to call her supervisor so I could complain. She was rude and showed no respect. Obviously this person is out of place, she should work in housekeeping where she can learn from normal people how to talk to customers

Yelp
Not at all customer friendly. long walks to destinations that are not where the arrows point. Everything is beautiful to look at, hard to find. only arrows, that are no help.. room cost $154 + $35 sur charge, $75 dog fee plus tax. amenities in the room consisted of 1 body lotion and 1 body wash and 2 bars of soap. No shampoo, no water, and only 2 coffees that contained so little coffee a 7 oz cup looked like tea. The casino only had one beverage station, and the soda was out of order, even the next day. Will not be returning.

Yelp
Not a bad casino by any means. It's a huge Caesars property. The machines definitely don't pay out much as expected at Caesars. Love the Gordon Ramsay food court though. No smoking anywhere in the casino but getting in and out for a smoke is easy

Yelp
My husband and I are here on vacation and wanted to check out Gordon's restaurants. Pros: casino and bathrooms were clean, interior was interesting to look at, and the women at Starbucks were very friendly. One of the female security guards named Hannah was extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable about the area. Cons: there was really nothing to do inside. Gordon's "restaurants" ended up just being a trashy food court with obscenely expensive prices. I wouldn't mind paying extra money if it was an actual restaurant with decent food, but it wasn't. We were super disappointed. A bunch of stuff inside seemed to close at 6pm which we found strange for a casino. We walked around the entire casino and left. The older male security guard at the entrance was extremely rude.

Yelp
Check in was a breeze. Our room was clean upon arrival. The bed was pretty comfortable. I went to bed at 2AM and didn't wake up until I heard my husband come into the room at 7AM. I'm pretty surprised I wasn't tossing and turning all night like I normally do. The lobby of the hotel was clean. There's a Starbucks right by the lobby so that was a plus. Casino access wasn't that far.

Yelp
After reading the many reviews from other fellow helpers, I had high hopes thing would have improved since the times they wrote their reviews. Sadly enough things were still just as bad as described. I stayed here as part of a wedding party. Soon as we checked in things were already going downhill fast. They aren't very descriptive with the towers. So it's frustrating when you valet in one, wait in line, only to find out you're in the other tower. Our rooms smelled, there was hair on the sheets that were supposedly clean, and everything was outdated for us to have been staying in the "new tower". We booked way in advanced and was excited when we booked the highest floor with a view only to walk in and it felt as if we were on the 8th floor. Then the staff were very rude. When we checked in they asked if we were part of the bridezilla party. Not to just one person but many ppl attending. So when we told the bride and groom they were livid. It's their special day and the only thing the staff could say was sorry as if no one cared. We spent forever trying to checkout because they charged us different rates than what was previously agreed on, the bride and groom only were listed for one night stay instead of two, and so many other problems the list literally goes on. This was supposed to be a special time for my friends, their family, and I. But you all really disappointed us. For someone getting married, we shouldn't have to spend forever at the front desk resolving thing that should have been fixed on day one. But now we're here going back and forth instead of spending time with loved ones who came to visit. While the rates may seem nice and having the luxury of a nearby casino just on the 2nd floor, I wouldn't waste my time staying here honestly.

Yelp
Being the closest casino with table games it's hard not to recommend. They are non smoking, with a separate smoking area, which is a HUGE plus. The dealers are great, the facilities are clean, the hotel, although sometimes dated, is overall ok, the spa is great, my only complaint is the food situation late night. The Dunkin express and Earl of Sandwich are the only two open after 11; no room service. And they are grossly understaffed. I've actively been waiting 20 min to order, no fault of the single employee working. One other, overall silly thing, to point out, if the tribal nation can de-criminalize marijuana, why can they sell alcohol after 2?!
