The 16 Best Lobster Rolls In Maine - Portland, ME - The Infatuation

"When you arrive at Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster Company, an attendant will guide you into the wharf’s parking lot like you’re at Disneyland. You can order lobster rolls and clam baskets at the window, and whole steamers at the lobster pound around the building’s corner. The lobster roll here tastes sweet, and even though the bread is on the floppier side, it still has enough structural integrity to support the meat, mayo, and lettuce. The pickle slices might be hidden away at the bottom of your roll’s paper basket, but consider it a little present you get to unwrap while watching the ferry boats head towards Casco Bay." - anne cruz, carlo mantuano

3 Best Day Trips from Portland, Maine: Ogunquit, Freeport, and the Kennebunks | Condé Nast Traveler

"A true seafood shack of the red-beadboard-and-old-wooden-tables variety, this Freeport landmark has been operated by the Coffin Family since 1970, and not a lot has changed in that time. The Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster Company is a magnet for boaters pulling up to the dock who are seeking some of the best seafood around. There are absolutely no culinary sound barriers being broken at this restaurant, but what it does, it does extremely well. Some favorites include fried clams and lobster rolls, and the homemade desserts—especially the whoopie pies and blueberry pies—are worth a trip on their own." - Alexandra Hall

Google
Was in Freeport looking for a good lobster roll saw this was nearby so we took the short drive over. Harraseeket is set right alongside the water at a marina. They have a good amount of parking but it does fill up. The views from the restaurant are amazing and they have both indoor seating and covered/uncovered outdoor seating. At the window to order the re was a sign that showed and approximate 1hr wait for food. Their time frame was very accurate. I ordered the Lobster roll and a pint of fried scallops. The lobster roll was filled with both tail and claw meat. I asked for some butter which made it even better. The scallops were served with cocktail and tartar sauce. Overall, it was worth the wait and I would 100% go again.

Google
Excellent lobster (couldn't ask for fresher, as you can see by the photo of lady whisking them out of the water); very good clams; good prices. We arrived a little earlier than the crowd for lunch,so only waited about 20 minutes. You couldn't ask for a more perfect location, looking out on the river as you munch on your perfect lunch!!

Michaela R.

Google
Magical, quintessential Maine spot. Cozy, delicious and reasonably priced food, nice people (thank you to the staff member who ran my waterbottle out to me that I left behind!). So much fun to have a bite here.

John M.

Google
We thought this place would be less crowded because it was off the beaten path. (No such luck). It was crazy crowded. Counter service (not my favorite, and cash only (but they had an ATM). Limited seating (you just grab an empty spot when you see one). The cashier was super pleasant and very helpful. We ordered two different Lobster Rolls (Mayo, buttered) and some clam chowder. The Lobster rolls had plenty of meat but were pretty bland. (In hindsight I should have asked for some Old Bay or something.) The clam chowder was thick..but too thick. Almost like paste. But the portions were decent. We managed to grab a table on the upstairs deck but kept having to swat beas and bugs away. (They need some sort of bug repeller out there). But the view was great and the food was pretty good and the staff very nice.

Google
Came across this gem by accident driving with my husband on vacation. We decided to eat lunch here. So peaceful, Jeanette was so darn friendly and the food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We wanted to go back another day, but we were hours away. It would have been worth it! 20/5 stars!!!

Heather J.

Google
Very nice scenic stop. Lobster rolls very yummy and affordable. Cash only but has an ATM. Bring your own alcohol.

April N

Google
Lots of seafood options, food comes out pretty quickly. You order at a window and they'll call when it's ready. Decent amount of seating available under covered patio. It is cash only and the parking is super limited around this area. Nice view of the harbor while eating. We both got the beer battered shrimp basket which was really good, a lot of food! Not pictured is the strawberry rhubarb pie we had also which was delicious.

Martin S

Google
Came here because of the great reviews and decides to try the lobster rolls, fish basket and shrimp basket. Food came quick and looked good, but the $25 lobster rolls were disappointingly small, cold and not as tasty as we hoped it would be. The fish basket was nothing special but we did enjoy the deep fried shrimp basket. Overall everything was a bit overpriced for what we got. There are better places to go for lobster rolls. They do sell fresh, live lobster which seems to be the way to do it - buy and go and prepare and enjoy at home.

Sandy F.

Yelp
Fried Clam Basket - crumbs. Def order crumbs - perfect amount of batter. Excellent. Delicious. Fries good, didn't love the Cole slaw, it was OK. Sure - there are tourists -- but plenty of local folks going for the classics. Bring enough cash. After tip, I was at $38 for clam basket and drink. They also take checks, so if you happen to travel with your checkbook you'll be fine.

Yelp
This classic seafood shack on the Freeport waterfront had all the right NE summer vibes. Cash only, which is tough given the going rate for seafood, but the food is worth the hassle. The fried scallops were very sweet and you got a sizeable portion. The highlight of the meal, however, was the warm slice of blueberry pie! A must-get when in Maine.
google avatar

Yelp
We were looking for local spots off the beaten path, and this place felt like a total hidden gem. Classic dishes, reasonable prices, no massive crowds and it's right on the water! We tried the fried clams, chowder, lobster, and finished with a slice of warm blueberry pie. That pie might've been the best bite of our whole New England trip. Served warm with a scoop of ice cream, and the staff was kind enough to hold it off til after our mains. Highly recommend! We'll definitely be back next time we're in Maine.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food! Ideal location on the quintessential Maine waterfront! The Lobster Bisque is the best we've ever had, and their recipe must be more closely guarded than Col Sanders Fried Chicken!
google avatar

Autumn B.

Yelp
Ambience is seat yourself; order at the walk up window when you are ready. Inside and outside seating available, and outdoor seating is shaded. The food took a while to come out. I'd say 10-12 minutes. Portion sizes were normal. Good parking available.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband thought the lobster roll was transcendent! He truly loved it! I had a cheeseburger and onion rings, which was very good. The one thing that amused me was the fact that the batter on the onion rings tasted like a funnel cake! Very tasty but funny! You can't beat the view or the people watching! It's fun to see everyone going out to their boats. Go on a sunny day and experience a true Maine locale. Oh, and be sure to try the blueberry pie warmed with vanilla ice cream on top of it! That is worth the trip!!!!

Kathy P.

Yelp
We spent this beautiful morning walking around Freeport and decided to head here for lunch. The scenery is casual with a lovely view of the water. We both ordered combos. One was a fried shrimp and fish basket with fries and coleslaw and the other was shrimp and scallops. The shrimp was ok but the fish and scallops were chewy and did not seem fresh. I will say service was quick though the loud speaker announcing what order number is ready was way too loud. We couldn't hear over it. This will not be a place we return. There are other spots in Southern Maine with a similar vibe but way better food.
google avatar

Carol K.

Yelp
It was a sunny day, the water was blue and lunch was amazing. It was suggested that we try the fresh fish sandwich and the onion ring middles. It was just delicious. As a matter of fact we are going back for lunch today....

Rob S.

Yelp
Absolutely the best fish platter I've ever had! Wife and I ate there 9/8/'25 after asking several locals for recommendations. Each vote was unanimous!
google avatar

Kris S.

Yelp
Loved the vibes on a fisherman's wharf where you can see lobster boats anchored. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The seafood was fresh and tasty just like you would expect in such a location! We would definitely come back!

Lauren C.

Yelp
The lobster salad was gluten free so I tried it. It was good but nothing special. The crab cake we were told were really crab if so you could not taste and crab at all just breading. The girls working the orders are great and service was fast and organized. The restaurant sits right on the water watching the lobster boats coming in with their traps. The french fries were by far the best thing we ate.

Nancy R.

Yelp
Highly recommend the seafood platter/basket. Plenty of food for two people. The blueberry pie a la mode was the best I've ever had. I've also ordered lobsters packed for airplane travel a few times, excellent service!

Yelp
I have been going to Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster for over thirty years. It is always consistently good! I am a lobster lover and I always get some version of the namesake Crustacean. This time I had the 1.5 lb specimen with an ear of corn. My buddy had the fried clams, and he is a native Mainer. We were both more then satisfied. We also both had the blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream which was out of this world! It's in a wharf setting which makes the atmosphere perfect and the service is polite and it is always clean! I highly recommend this Lobster Shack for the quintessential Maine seafood experience!!
google avatar

Nina S.

Yelp
Another little shack by the waterfront demanding to be stopped at for eating! Lobster roll: the sweetness of lobster meat was marred a bit by a tinge of bitterness I haven't experienced with other rolls fries were standard with plenty of salt, crunch, and potato flavor Clam Cakes: unlike their crab cake counterparts these clam cakes are mostly breading but it seems to be commonplace, cut very thin and fried perfectly Blueberry pie: berries were sweet and lightly spiced with an okay crust

Yelp
Bring cash or check, they don't take cards and it gets pricey here. If you're seeking lobster in Maine, I think this is a good option. It's right on the water and you can get a whole lobster bake, lobster roll, lobster bisque and other seafood dishes. We got lobster rolls and a calamari basket. The lobster rolls were fresh and simple. The atmosphere is nice if you're able to walk upstairs to the outdoor balcony. It can get a little chilly at night, but really cool view to see the boats and the sunset. Everything is outside, and mostly covered picnic tables. The line was pretty long when we got there on a Saturday night, overall I think we waited about 40 minutes to get our food -- including ordering it. This is a great stop if you fly into Portland and are heading up the coast of Maine.

Yelp
Ahhhh: today's lunch stop was quintessential Maine! I went right for the classic--a lobster roll and fries. Harraseeket's is a nice size, with the lobster lightly dressed and tucked into a tasty bun that seems slightly crisped though also the right amount of soft, with a fresh lettuce leaf. And the fries are no afterthought: golden and crispy, just waiting for an extra dash of salt and a pump of ketchup from the containers on the counter at the pickup window. That's it. That's all you need, and it's delicious. Oh, and you're right on the dock in Freeport, where you can look right out over the water (I was lucky enough to score a perch on one of the stools with a view of boats, local kids jumping off the docks, and a lovely breeze). Kudos to the staff here for their super efficiency: I mean it's high summer and there will be a line (I arrived around 1:45p on a Wednesday, so likely not as insane as a weekend); they keep everything moving along, and even post projected wait times for your food (today they said 30-40 minutes, but I doubt it took half as long). Anyhow, you'll be checking out that view and chatting with people in line or sitting next to you, so who cares? Notes for next time: going for just the steamed lobster (separate line around the back), and the lobster bisque, which is supposed to be outstanding. Updates TK!

Yelp
My father loved this place, and the shack on the water gives quintessential Maine vibes. You come here for the experience, so make sure to enjoy it. Bring some good company. Choose a bright, sunny day and go sit outside on the picnic tables. Get a steamed lobster, some steamed clams, and some fried clams. For the kids, a hot dog or a burger will hit the spot on their undeveloped palates. Get yourself a So. Free. Me. dad hat if you're built like that. Lastly, bring cash because it's cash only for the quaint vibes. I will visit many more times in the future, and I hope I can share this establishment the same way my father did with his friends and family.

Yelp
Such a cute place to try for some good fresh catch. We were referred here by our Airbnb host and they did not steer us in the wrong direction. We tried the lobster pound, crab roll, and claim chowder. This was our first lobster pound experience and we were not disappointed. The lobsters are right behind the counter you order from, and you can pick the size of lobster you prefer too. If you walk around the corner of the main order window, there are stairs that lead up to a top seating area. We sat right on the water and had an amazing view the whole time. The crab roll was probably my favorite of all, stuffed with lots of meat. And most importantly, don't forget the peanut butter cookie - hands down one of the top best peanut butter cookies we've ever tried!
google avatar

Camille C.

Yelp
Quaint location right on the water. We found parking to be a bit tricky. Also note - they only accept cash (there's an ATM on location). The lobster roll seemed slightly under seasoned. Tucked in a toasted bun, the portion was perfect for lunch.
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
LOVED the lobster rolls we got here!!! The chowder was a little thick for me, but my son liked it a lot. The blueberry pie was delicious! Loved the outdoor seating ( it was perfect weather), and the boats and lobster pots felt so New England, we loved it!
google avatar

Yelp
The lobster was just We had lobster rolls, lobster bisque, and a whole lobster and holy. It never got old. The boiled lobster was perfectly cooked, the bisque was creamy and had huge chunks of lobster, the lobster roll was clean and simple. the lobster roll was a little bland but was still good. The wait was a little much but they are a little under staffed. They try their best to get everyone's food out, just be patient with them! They have a gorgeous view and i'm pretty sure if you have a boat you can dock it and grab food, but don't quote me! They are dog friendly! You can ask for a water cup for your dog if you don't have water. The staff are friendly and helpful! The drive into the place is a little tricky as it's not a huge parking area. Pulling out you might need a person outside to tell you where to go. Parking in though there was someone to direct traffic. Other then the wait and the parking situation, I would come back! Definitely have their lobster bisque and the boiled lobster!
google avatar

Nick F.

Yelp
Excellent atmosphere. Right on the water. Some of the fried food could be better. But the seafood couldn't be fresher.
google avatar

Marcus S.

Yelp
Looked forward to come here as it was a word of mouth sort of place than an advertised one. It's a nice spot right on the water and off from other restaurants or other competition. Harraseket has everything you'd be looking for with seafood and some extras but isn't anything more. The place is popular so on nice days a line is likely. Before you jump in you're cautioned with ample signage that it's cash only. a minor gripe, but there is an ATM inside. There is a lot to choose from including a whole lobster meal which includes corn and potato. There is crab, clam chowder, and shrimp but the main attraction I think is the Lobster rolls which is what the order was. It was a Lobster roll, but admittedly I was spoiled by "Bite into Maine" which leaves this Lobster roll in the dust. The actual roll is basic and comes with a piece of lettuce for garnish perhaps? It was ok nothing wowing about it, even the literal roll was boring. We also had a piece of cornbread with it and it was a nice size but again, just alright. That sums up Harraseeket. It's just alright. You can sit inside or out if it's nice and there is plenty to choose from seafood wise and other options if you brought someone who doesn't like seafood but it's main draw is average at best.

Yelp
Would have scored it a 3.5. My wife and I have lived in Maine most of our lives and have avoided this place because it has always seemed like a tourist trap. We have decided to visit places like this over the summer to see what we may be missing. We both ordered the standard lobster roll and onion rings today. The lobster rolls were served on the requisite grilled, top split hotdog bun. The meat was very fresh, but at times not super flavorful. Our biggest complaint was the green leaf lettuce in the lobster roll. I do not understand why some places do this. It may be visually appealing but it distracts from the delicate taste of the lobster meat. The onion rings were quite a point of discussion between us. They were huge and heavily battered in what was almost like a sweet cake batter. The result was an onion ring that was almost like a dessert. They tasted pretty good for the first one or two and then were too heavy for me. If these are your type of onion ring you will be thrilled...if not, you will be disappointed.

Yelp
This lobster joint was poppin'! Came here on a Saturday afternoon and right after we ordered the line was out from under the awning. We had one objective, get some lobster. This place is cash only but they have an atm so naddaworry. It's right on the pier so the seafood must be fresh, right? All the good lobster places are! Food was ready in just 10 minutes and the lobster rolls are served on a lettuce leaf, on top of a few pickles too. I have to say, dunno if it's just this year or if it's how they cook the lobster, but I felt like their lobster was so soft and easy to eat. Some places it's cold and kind of tough, but theirs was almost creamy and so easy to chew though. It was probably one of the most enjoyable lobster roll eating experiences I've had. For $18 it had a ton of lobster on it and way better than other places of the same price point. The side we ordered was onion rings. They were GIGANTIC!! Unfortunately they were also the GREASIEST onion rings ever!! The batter was almost like the fried dough kind of batter so it was light and crispy, just also soaking in oil. I wanted to eat more but I was also just getting sick eating one. I wish they pulled more oil out of them, they would have been so much more edible! Overall it's a beautiful place to have some seafood. It's worth the drive and it's not 50 miles down a long peninsula so it's worth the trip if you're anywhere in Southern Maine.

Yelp
Needed a break from chores and workouts. Some of the freshest seafood around. We like that we can bring our own wine. Needed a break from chores and workouts. Some of the freshest seafood around. We allike that we can bring our own wine. We shared a combo basket, shrimp and fish, and added onion rings. Not my favorite onion rings or fries but the seafood so makes up for it!

Yelp
Harraseeket L&L is both a local and tourist favorite. The trick is to go around the corner onto the dock walkway and order the lobster delight at the window facing the harbor. If you want the fabulous desserts, you have to wait in the regular line. But, as of last weekend Oct 21 2022 it looks like they are closed for the season - I was there midday on a Saturday.
google avatar

Olive O.

Yelp
We had a tiny expensive bowl of clam chowder without a single clam, soggy French fries and two 1.5 lb very tough lobsters. The worse part is this meal left an awful taste in my mouth. I wish they were more friendly. Did I say it was very expensive.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
This place rocks. The food is reasonable and the view is amazing. What I don't like is that you have to order lobster dinners at one spot and all other food at another. If your party is ordering different things the food comes out at different times. I was already done with my lobster and my son was still waiting for his clams. Best blueberry pie ever. Cash only but they have an ATM onsite.
google avatar

Judy K.

Yelp
Quick takeout lunch place. Crowded with a line. Honestly food not worth the wait. It was very average. Much better places in the area Got a few lobster rolls. Two with butter (lobster cold which is how they serve it) and one with light mayo. Must be fresh since the lobster boats are right there but again I've had plenty better tasting ones in the area. Also got a clam roll which was good. Fries and onion rings average

Yelp
I love this place. We try and stop here for lunch on our back home from vacation. First I have to say forgot to take a picture of my beautiful clam plate dinner. You can also BYOB and have it outside looking over the bay. Great spot to enjoy some great seafood, and the view is atheir service is awesome and fast. Parking can be a bit tough but someone is always leaving if you give it a few minutes. But in all honesty please try to give this place a visit if you're near Freeport, Maine.

Yelp
I will start this review with the sole complaint I have about my meal here, and it's the buttery finger prints that now cover my phone screen as I type this. Harraseeket is the place in Maine I have been on the hunt for, and finally found. It's everything I have hope and wished for. The idea of a place like this existing has been planted in my head for years through stories, movies, and word of mouth. Being from Wisconsin and coming to Maine, the need to find and eat cheap delectable lobsters has consumed me. Well I'm happy to say they could do it here, and do it well. The view upstairs over looking the marina, made for a one of a kind dinning experience for me. And within minutes my lobster dinner was up at the window waiting to be devoured. The lobster delight was my choice. And a great choice it was. A dozen steamed clams served with the broth, a huge ear of corn, and a mouth watering lobster. Everything was fresh and cooked to order, leaving me so excited to eat that I almost forgot to snap a picture for this review. If you make it to this part of Maine and don't come here, you might as well just say you never came to Maine. Furthermore, a local man was sitting near me and said get the lobster bisque, and had I not been in a food coma I would have. He continued to say it's the best he's had and asked me to look as he pulled his spoon out of the bisque. There sat 4 or 5 huge chunks of lobster. So needless to say I'll be visiting tomorrow as well. Enjoy

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
We hit a day when the stars were in alignment and there wasn't a flaw in food , service, or ambience just perfect! I've been a customer both at the restaurant and on occasion when we had company at our home just across the bay , I would call and order a bag of lobsters, freshly steamed. I've been going to them for over 30 years, never a disappointment not even once!

Yelp
If you're anywhere near Freeport and you like or love seafood, please visit this place. We were looking for a dinner spot on a Saturday night and landed here at 7pm. WOW! What a find! Located at the end of a road at the Freeport Town Wharf, the seafood was deliciously fresh and ready in about 15 minutes after ordering. Plenty of shaded picnic tables for hot days. I'm planning a second visit next Saturday with more family members. CASH ONLY and there is an ATM on premises.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch on the way to Bar Harbor. This place was busy when we arrived but got even busier after we ordered and was waiting for our food. The place is located on the water and there are plenty of picnic tables outside for seating. The lobster roll is really good but the bread wasn't toasted enough for my liking. I typically like Connecticut style lobster rolls served warm. The lobster is very fresh and you get a generous amount too.

Christie V.

Yelp
Went on a lobster roll hunt during our long weekend in Maine. Went by word of mouth and also checked out Infatuation's list for "the best lobster rolls in Maine". Very surprised this was on the list after comparing some pretty great ones. This was our last stop and roll before our flight home. After trying about 8 different Lobster rolls this one rated at the lowest by a landslide and we were disappointed. It wasn't terrible but just very bland. The bread was dry and lacking butter. My roll also had a decent size lobster shell in it. Less quantity of lobster as well for the other ones we tried and was about the same price. Top 2 rolls we had were at McLoons (spruce head island) and Lobster Haul (Damariscotta).

Yelp
The best food in Maine! Lobster Mac and Cheese is to die for. Service is on point and very attentive. Ambiance is continental and very clean.

Yelp
Not sure how people can hate on this place. We have been going every year for ~6 years as we base camp out of Freeport for kids camp pickup. Get a Lobbie Roll and cup of chowder (Lobster is my fav around back). It's not corporate fast food. Expect high prices and good eats. Support the local economy, fisherman, servers, and cooks. Quit your complaining and enjoy the best of New England life!!! It's crowded because it ROCKS!

Yelp
We love this place. So much happening here. I'm personally NOT a seafood fan. Crazy considering I grew up in Maine. But, with that said. I know where to find the good stuff, to share with family/friends when they visit. This is it! Located in beautiful South Freeport, literally right on the working harbor. The lobsters, clams that you eat have JUST come off the boat. It doesn't get any better, unless you fish yourself! Now, I go for burgers, chicken tenders, etc. but MOSTLY? For DESSERT. Order a slice of pie, and it's enough to share. They'll even warm it and throw a scoop of ice cream on top, if you wish. It's a beautiful location for a meal. Go ahead, treat yourself.
google avatar

Tray K.

Yelp
The food is amazing here! It's a bit pricy, but great place to take your dog. They have outside picnic tables under a tent and allow you to bring your own cider, wine or beer. They have a take out window so no service needed.

Lisa L.

Yelp
We came on Father's Day and expected it to be busy - boy was it! We waited in line only few minutes to order, and was told by the order taker that it would be about 45 minutes for our food order to be called. We sincerely appreciated that information and choose to order anyway - since everywhere would be busy given that it was Father's Day and a beautiful Sunday in Maine. It did take all of the 45 minutes (plus another 5) to be called up the window to get our order. The haddock platter was plentiful and very hot. The batter was a bit thicker than we like - very hard to break the fish apart with a fork - even though it was very fresh. Other guests waiting to pick up their food had not been told about the length of time it would take for the food to be ready and were a bit concerned about how long it had been taking to get their food. When I explained that we had been told 45 minutes, the were a little upset that they hadn't been informed about how long it would take to get their food before they ordered.

Yelp
Casual working waterfront restaurant - means very fresh seafood prepared quickly and simply without much spice or other flavoring, and with a beautiful view (especially on the 2nd floor deck - weather permitting) but not a lot of creature comforts. That's a recipe for delicious meals, and success - it's just not for everyone.

Yelp
The food was delicious! The service was good and people were friendly! I do not recommend the coleslaw.

Yelp
Lobster roll #8! So this little out of the way place has a great setting. Right on the wharf over looking the boats. We ordered the lobster roll and dang it I forgot the butter! It could have made a huge difference but oh well! And the clam chowder. Clam chowder is what I was expecting! Thick cream based chowder with large chunks of fresh clams and potato. Man was it satisfying! Lobster roll, it wasn't the biggest amount of lobster but it also wasn't the smallest amount. I guess you would say it was a standard portion. Lobster meat was tender and flavorful. Loved the sweetness of it. I really should have walked back down stairs and got the dang butter. Roll was toasted well and had great flavor. Overall it was a good roll. Until me time!

Yelp
I stopped by here this past Monday with my wife for lunch. While Harraseeket Lunch & Lobster wasn't our fish choice in lunch places, we were excited whenever we made it here. It's located right on the water off of Main Street and is the type of place where you order at a window and get a number and they call your number whenever you food is ready. They don't have lobster themselves here but there is a lobster pound right around the corner. Whenever we arrived the place was packed and almost all of the outdoor tables were taken. Besides the picnic table type seating they also have an indoor area to sit as well if you so choose. It is worth noting that this place is cash or check only! They do have an ATM inside which charges a $2.50 charge for its use. For lunch on this day I decided to go with the fresh haddock sandwich with cheese and tartar sauce while my wife went with a seafood chowder and a crab cake. Whenever my sandwich came out I have to admit that I was impressed with the size of it as it had three well battered pieces of haddock on it. It tasted pretty good too as the batter was nice and the tartar sauce added some acidity and the cheese added some creaminess. Meanwhile my wife enjoyed both her chowder and crab cake. The seafood chowder was filled with all sorts of seafood from whole scallops to pieces of lobster and more. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here in the future. Harraseeket Lunch & Lobster was a nice and quick lunch with good food which is exactly what we were looking for on this day.

Yelp
The food was just ok. Lobster roll portion way too small for $25 price. Onion rings looked great but were soft and soggy with grease. Very plain food. I strongly recommend finding another restaurant instead of waiting 45 minutes here to get your order. Just not worth the price or wait.

Yelp
Fantastic view of the harbor and yachts. The steamer clams are superb. So fresh and delicious. The corn is sweet. Such an authentic Maine seafood spot

Yelp
Great setting for lunch, right on the harbor. We sat upstairs and watched the boats and had views across the water and to far-off islands. This was our first stop in Maine and our first bite of lobster on our trip, and we found the cold lobster rolls quite refreshing. That seemed to be the only variety they had, no hot ones with butter here. The fried clams were also very tasty. Big onion rings, too. Parking is limited, and this is a cash-only place. Advice: Be sure to check out the full menu, which spills over onto the window where you order. There were some items there that we probably would have ordered but missed when looking only at the menu posted on the wall outside. Good spot!

Yelp
Roll was fine - nothing special. We had a much better lobster roll at Orchard Beach. Maybe it's just personal preference, but the one at the beach gave you the option of warm or cool with mayo. I prefer my roll warm. They said they would've warmed mine up but I didn't even think to ask until it was too late. And they had this very weird way of describing the difference in the meat between the regular and large roll. "The regular has 4 oz, but the large has 2/3 of a cup. So it's almost double". News flash, 2/3 of a cup is 6 oz. So not close to double. Are they trying to trick people that can't or don't want to do math? :). Also, the fries weren't good at all. Just didn't feel like it was good value for a $90 lunch.
