After all the hype around this coffee shop, I have to say it's good, but a little overrated in my opinion. On a tuesday at 10am, the place was crowded. No parking around outside and had to park down the street. The line moved quickly at least and the girl at the counter was friendly and prompt with getting my order: a maple latte, steak and potato pastie, and a brown sugar poptart for dessert. Tbh, none of it was very impressive. The coffee was good, but had an odd aftertaste unlike any maple latte I've had before. The pastie was pretty bland and the steak had a weird texture, like it had been blended up a bit too much and was mush while the potatoes didn't seem to have any seasoning. The poptart was ok, but was mostly crust and only had filling in about 50% of its area. This meal was definitely not worth the $20 I paid for it. The decor inside was the only 5 star experience I had with the shop, there is an old VW camper that you can sit in (which was a bit uncomfortable but there were no other tables available) and a second story with additional seating overlooking the first floor. The windows made the place bright and cheery but it was so crowded that it was loud and hard to have a conversation, just too many small kids running around and babies crying that I almost couldn't bear it. This was mid-morning on a weekday, mind you, so I can only imagine how bad it is on the weekends. Overall, come for the vibes and coffee but try to avoid the maple flavoring, pasties, and sitting near young children.
