7 Food & Wine Festivals You Should Attend This Summer - AFAR

"The Midwest’s largest plant-based festival returns to St. Paul when the 10th annual Twin Cities Veg Fest pops up at Harriet Island Park. In 2012, the event drew 1,200 people; over the past decade, it’s grown to welcome more than 100 vendors and 10,000 festivalgoers interested in plant-based eating and living." - Susan B. Barnes

Fantastic place for a festival. Really great open space plenty of room for lots of people stages music etc. St Paul and the yacht Club festival people really did a great job for setup security music and everything. I didn't even see one scuffle or any negative interaction the whole 3-day yacht Club festival weekend. The beer and food was a bit overpriced but you get that with any festival. Had a super great time and would definitely go back again.

It was a nice distance for walking and lake view. Issues come that the water is pretty polluted. Alot of trash and water around in corners. Smell of sewer or waste in the air. Great lawn space on the further end and food trucks on days.

Harriet Island regional park is always a great place to enjoy a relaxing stroll with the dogs. There are also many amenities available for all types of activities. They have barbecue grills, picnic tables, tons of green space to fly a kite or a game of frisbee. There is a well maintained playground for the kids too. The bike/walking trail runs through here. You can get just about anywhere in the metro on that trail. The paddleboats take off from here on wonderful river rides. They have midday rides that anyone can afford. As well as beautiful sunset rides for a romantic evening. We are all very lucky to have such a nice place right in the middle of our city.

Walking across the Wabasha Street Bridge provides beautiful views, though it can get quite hot 🫠. From this park, you can also catch a lovely glimpse of the Saint Paul cityscape.

Love walking here! Especially the day after a snowfall. The landscape and the view of downtown Saint Paul is stunning. The paths were clear for walking even in the winter. Highly recommend!!

Great park but good to go with a friend or at least don’t go alone. Lots of aggressive homeless that could scream at you or mess with you even by the river. I would avoid going here until they have actual police presence here. Very run down and sketchy
