If I used one word to describe Harriet's Cheesecakes Unlimited, and that word was delicious, that would be an understatement ... Actually, there is no way one word can describe these amazing cheesecakes. Therefore, you will just have to go try them yourself. Don't blame me once you do and cannot tolerate the mouth-watering goodness 😋

I love sweets so this place hit the spot. I ordered the pecan praline cheesecake which is a very popular pick. The cheesecake was smooth and thick and had alot of toppings. The toppings over powered the cheesecake and reminded me of a super candy bar lol. I love pecans and all things sugar so I didn't mind at all. I do recommend sharing a slice or eating it over a couple days as I did. Unfortunately I totally forgot to snap a pic of mine but my friend ordered the one with brownie in the middle so I attached a photo of that one. If you have a sweet tooth this place will definitely hit the spot. I plan on returning and trying out more slices.

My partner and I loved the vanilla cheesecake! It tastes homemade and even though I’m not a sweet toothe person, I’d come here again and again for that cheesecake. I hope to be here again when I visit LA again!!! Update: Had to take down 1 star due to us arriving at 11am, only to find out that they won’t open until an estimated opening yime 11:30am by them with no notice.

Used to be great, not any more! I have always ordered the praline cheesecake and it was so delicious, that sometimes I'd wished I ordered two. Not any more! About 5 months ago I ordered the praline cheesecake and the pecans were burned. I didn't call to complain and thought it was a once-in-a-lifetime mistake. But decided I would not buy from them for a while. Fast forward to yesterday (June 13, 2023), I bought THREE (3) slices of the same cheesecake. I ate half of mine and my daughter and granddaughter split one, the third one was untouched. **see photos** They BOTH had a burned taste to them. The pecans had been over-roasted. I called Harriet's today and asked for a manager. I was told by ROBIN, that the manager was unavailable. 😒 I explained what my issue was and asked for a refund, WHICH SHE AGREED TO. This was around 11:07 a.m. I called back around 12:57 p.m. (because I didn't want to drive 20 miles back down there) and asked her to just refund half the cost. That's when she told me she would not give me a refund and I could only exchange a slice for a slice.🙄 Now, she had my number, why didn't she call me and say that? If I had driven all the way down there, for her to turn around and renege on the refund, I would've been extremely upset. I'm sure we're not the only ones that tasted those burned pecans on those cakes, but she told me I was the ONLY one to complain. Anyway, I will not be returning nor recommending this place to anyone. The quality of their cheesecakes have plummeted and the prices have gone up! Their horrible with customer service and the drive is too far for this type of treatment.

Best cheesecakes ever. It blows Cheesecake Factory out of the water. Like night and day. You have to be patient there. They don't care if you preorder or not. You wait in line. Only 2 people at the counter at a time

The pecan praline cheesecake is one of the best things I’ve ever tasted in my life. The crust, cheesecake, and pecan praline topping are all amazing. The cheesecake itself isn’t overly sweet so it compliments the sweet topping and crust. 10’s across the board.

First time visiting. Since I’m lactose intolerant I’m risking it all to try a slice. With a dairy pill in hand I had a few bites of the Banana Pudding Cheesecake. 12 out of 10. I will no longer be enjoying standard Banana Pudding just give me Harriet’s Cheesecake version. My only critique is better packaging. A small box would be nice on tissue paper. The plate is durable for eating but depending on your ride home the top may get a dent in it.

This place has the best cheesecake I've ever had, period. The turtle cheesecake is my go-to. Absolutely delicious.

I thought they were closed?!. I go by there all the time but it looked closed. Now that I know they're open I will be sure to order my family's favorites - sweet potato and the german chocolate cheese cakes. I can only hope they are as good as when I first found them 30 years ago. I also hope that the customer service has improved so that the ordering process is more friendly and efficient.

**May 2024: Weekday Late Afternoon Visit** I was looking for a dessert spot in Inglewood and remembered bookmarking Harriets! I very vaguely remembered it being featured on the Food Network's "The Best Thing I Ever Ate: That I'm Thankful For" episode highlighting the Sweet Potato Cheesecake. I can't believe I had this bookmarked since grad school and am only now checking that off my list - oy! but better late than never lol My friend and I arrived around 5pm on a Thursday and parked right in front. There's only one row of parking and it's nested between some other soulful restaurants. When we entered we saw a white board at the side of the shop with 18 flavors. All slices were $9 each. If you want a 8 inch pie it's $35, and the 10 inch is $45. They accept credit card. Since I visited with my friend we decided to each grab a slice and share. We obviously picked the Sweet Potatoe and the cashier said the Banana Pudding was her favorite so we picked that as well. The cashier went to the back and shortly afterward the cashier gave us a plate of each sliced wrapped up and two forks. We ate at the counter and they indeed were really great cheesecakes! Here are my evaluations Sweet Potato Cheesecake - I really liked the candied pecan garish. It just added a really nice bite to the sour cream spread and smooth cheesecake filling. The cheesecake was not dense at all and though it was a tasty I think I just prefer a sweet pie versus a starchy one. Banana Pudding: This was basically all of my favorite things in cheesecake form. It's definitely sweeter than the sweet potato one, but I preferred it as it tasted more familiar. Robyn - Harriet's daughter came out as we enjoyed the slices and told us to come back and try her favorite - apple spice. Another customer grabbed a slice of the pecan, so I would be happy to come back and try some more flavors. These pies were definitely top notch, so come on down!

The places as so many cheesecake flavors to choice from it crazy. The cheesecake with light and creamy and the crust is amazing. Suggestions to call and order the cheesecake ahead of time to insure you get the one you want. 8 inch is $35 any flavor 10 inch is $45 any flavor 12 inch is $55 any flavor

Decadent cheesecake. Only challenge is that they tend to run out of what you want. I just ordered a few slices instead of getting the whole pie. I tried calling but they don't answer. Overall, great tasting cheesecake. Got the vanilla bean and praline. Vanilla was hit. Praline is definitely sweet and may be overbearing for some. Service was friendly but one must be patient because they do not rush!

They make the best cheesecake in LA that's all you need to know!!! But also the staff is friendly. Parking is limited most likely cause they are next to a bbq restaurant. But if you can park and manage to make the line in this literal hole in the wall... you'll be handed some amazing cheesecake. This is coming from a person who doesn't really like cheesecake at that! The best of the day was the Sweeney potato slice, so balanced and so dynamic in taste and texture with the added nuts on top. Definitely curious about trying even more flavors... the praising was calling my name...

This place has one of the best banana pudding cheesecake!! The sweet potato cheesecake is very good as well!! If you are in Inglewood it's a must try! Remember it's first come first served

This is the only cheesecake in LA so far that can out-New York many NY cheesecakes! I ordered the praline slice and it came out wonderfully. They also offer larger whole cakes but you must preorder for 10" and above. There is no dine-in as this is a take-out only establishment. However, there are two benches inside that allow you to sit and eat. My server for the day was very courteous and knowledgeable too. She helped many customers with their flavor options and displayed a passion for cheesecakes!

the Oreo cheesecake is the best cheesecake I've ever had. There's usually a long line and I'd bring cash just in case, but as someone who hates waiting in line, I say it's worth it for Ms. Harriet's cheesecake.

They claimed their top two were praline and sweet potato so tried both. Absolutely delicious! So creamy and decadent. Pretty sweet and thin slices is more than enough. Will definitely leave you filling like you pigged out. I ate both slices simultaneously and they were both fantastic, very similar to each other but yet had their own tastes. I liked the praline more, but it was also sweeter. Very beautifully presented.

I read a post about this place and watched the video of the owner telling her story. I decided to go today. Despite the rain, I drove 30 minutes to grab some cheesecake for my mom. I didn't have an issue with the pricing, they did accept credit cards and the customer service was fine. The single slice of Apple Spice I purchased was quite large and looked delicious! Once I arrived home, we unwrapped the single slice. It smelled heavenly, but the taste was nothing spectacular. We thought we would have better luck with the key lime, but it was nothing like I imagined. It was like a hodgepodge of ingredients with a sugary burnt tasting crust. I won't be returning. There's a lady a few blocks away that makes key lime cheesecake, we made sure to place an order with her today. I can only give 2 stars, that's because I liked the video. The pies are just average. The place could use a bit of sprucing up too!

Ive heard a lot of good things about Harriett's and told myself if I ever get back in that area, I need to stop in.. well, I was going to be in the LAX area and Im glad I stopped by. First off, the location is a small hole in the wall place in a busy strip mall. I had to park on the street and walk over to the place... First thing I noticed...a line out the door..literally. I jumped in, and when I got closer I eyed the menu of the slices they were serving today.. Banana Pudding immediately caught my eye and so there it was.. No place to really eat inside, so I walked back to my vehicle and ate it there. This cheesecake slice was not only huge in size, but it tasted AMAZING! I don't think I've had a better cheesecake. I can't explain the creaminess or the flavors or anything about it without doing it injustice. All I can say, is you've got to get here and get a slice.. I assume the other flavors should be as good as the Banana Pudding because it wasn't just the banana pudding that made it delicious. It was the whole cheesecake. You've gotta stop by when you can....

This is one of the Cities hidden Gems for Southern, New York and Gourmet Cheese Cakes they have a vast variety of Cheese cakes and all are delicious. Their Vanilla Cheese Cake will make you slap yo mama it is so good. Give them a try, it's better to reserve your cake in advance so you'll get the flavor you want.

Haven't been to the location but somebody brought their cakes to work and they were AMAZING! Nice thick texture and great flavors (tried the Oreo and the original). Read about their story online and can't wait to try this place out!

There are few things better than creamy, decadent, and perfectly sweet-but-not-too-sweet cheesecake. Harriet's has over 60 flavors so there is something for everyone. My favorites were the French Vanilla, Key Lime, and Banana Pudding cheesecakes. Can't wait to try more!!

When I googled "best cheesecake in LA", Harriet's Cheesecakes came up, so we decided to give them a true. We bought 7 slices of Harriet's cheesecakes (French vanilla, pineapple, blueberry, chocolate, cookies & cream, pumpkin, and banana). They were all amazing! Worth every penny.

I was in Harriet's the other day...I got Bailey's, Sweet Potato, & Key Lime...IFK...YK...I really just wanted to update the New Payment Options...Love Y'all Harriet's!!!

I'm giving this review 2 stars for their UNRELIABLE business hours. I do not live in the area so TWICE, not once, but 2 TIMES drove down just to get a cheesecake on a Thursday afternoon and BOTH times they were unexpectedly closed. The first time I attempted they had a sign on the door saying they were closed for "electric problems" And the second time, which was just yesterday 11/30/23 they had a sign stating they'd be "temporarily closed from 11/27 to 12/1" An UNRELIABLE and INCONSISTENT business is never a good sign. When running a business people have to trust you in order to keep returning. The Cheesecake Factory is ALWAYS OPEN during their publically posted BUSINESS HOURS. So for me to show up to this establishment on 2 separate occasions, during what should have been "NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS" and for it to be CLOSED has left a bad taste in my mouth for Harriet's. To the point I'll never attempt to go here again!! Because I was having such a sweet tooth and drove down for NOTHING I could not let my trip go in vain. I ended up at SWEET RED PEACH, just a short drive away, where they were open and IN STOCK. DO BETTER HARRIETS!!

This place has been around for as long as I can remember. I live super close so this is a luxury place I cherish. Until this last visit. The cheesecake was just not the same. I don't know if it's still the same owner. All the years coming here it was always simple and old fashion cash only kind of spot with the same employees. It's now very much updated, different employees and I guess the focus is less on the cheesecakes. Cheesecake just doesn't wow me anymore.

The cake presentation, flavor, & service were phenomenal!!! I will be coming to Harriet's every year for my and my boyfriends birthday! Damm there really is no comparison!!! I highly recommend Harriet's if you're looking for something delicious & special for a nice event! I literally live down the street and have so for nearly 5 years. Too many times I've walked over with $7 in my pocket and gotten a little slice of heaven. They've destroyed my diet on numerous occasions but i'll always be back! The Praline is ridiculously decadent. Perfect with a glass of milk. I've tried about 7 flavors and each one is beautiful and delicate in its own way. Pick a random flavor and give it a shot. You won't be disappointed!

I've been loving these cheesecakes since the day I first tried them almost 10 years ago! They've been the main show for my birthday every year. Get your cash ready and drive into their little shared parking lot to buy an assortment of different flavors. Every flavor is so delicious and has its own distinct notes. I always get a box of at least 5 different slices with at least 1 decadent and rich, 1 slightly sour, and 1 classic. This way, I can enjoy everything without getting too overwhelmed by anything really sweet. Money well spent!!

Harriet's Cheesecakes is so damn good. I mean even if you are not. big fan of cheesecake, this will change your mind. My friend and I went and got a chocolate fudge brownie cheesecake slice. When I took a bite I almost ascended, that is how good it was. Please go to this place it was so good and you will not regret it.

The best cheesecake I've ever had!! $8.25 a slice though so it's expensive. Cash only. They have maybe 15 of slices per day. Even the slices I didn't like as much I'm still impressed with quality. Friendly service as well. I want to give 4 stars for price and not liking all the flavors but I can't bring myself too because theirs just too nice there and amazing quality with interesting flavors. 5/5 Praline - the best! Get this one if nothing else. Creamy with plentiful of praline 4/5 Blueberry and cream - delicious! Nothing can beat the praline though but this was good too. The problem is the blueberries are only in the very center so you eat a couple bites of the inside and then end up with normal cheesecake. Still good though 3/5 Snickers - not really snickers. I'm not sure if it had any snickers. I didn't taste any but how can a snickers cheesecake not have snickers? It was regular cheesecake with a layer of chocolate between. No peanuts, no snickers. Didn't like the chocolate flavor.

They now accept debit and credit cards and of course it's creamy and delicious. Open til 6 now as well

This cheesecake bakery has been here since the 1980s. I worked down the street and found a newspaper article about them so I had to give them a try. I've been ordering cakes for parties ever since. Of course I could eat an entire cheesecake by myself but I don't dare. H. Robin will gladly take any custom order over the phone. It's a cash only business. It is in a tiny strip mall On the southside of Centinela just passed La Cienega. They have over 60 different flavors. Of course my favorite is sweet potato. They want you to order at least three or four weeks before a holiday. Because they have to stop taking orders. It's an amazing place and everybody in the area knows about it. If you're not having a function and don't need an entire cake they sell cheesecake by the slice for around eight dollars. Enjoy!

Wide variety of cheesecake options. I have never tasted one I didn't like. The only con is that 3 weeks prior to Thanksgiving I attempted to pre-order a sweet potato cheesecake and was told that they are no longer accepting orders. I inquired when they started taking pre-orders and was told January! WTH!!!

The best cheesecake there is PERIOD! We've been coming here for years every Christmas and Thanksgiving, getting the same thing every time: the Pumpkin prailine. We finally decided to order several different flavors at once and NONE of them disappointed! This is hands down the best cheesecake spot!!!!

These cheesecakes are so good you can tell the use high quality ingredients. The service is fast and friendly. However there are no tables to allow you to dine in. Don't forget it's cash only. It's a wonderful pick up Togo place for dessert

Cheesecakes are the BOMB!!! Customer service SUCKS... Robin (I believe is Harriet's daughter) needs to give it up... she's lowkey rude... 2 instances she's rubbed me wrong... the 1st was her having customers wait outside and her I'm assuming (son or grandson) told her you're wrong, why would you have these ppl waiting for no reason and the 2nd was today we had a pre order (we were there at opening (if you've purchased during the holiday you know the line gets crazy) she comes out to tell us on pre orders aren't done until 12!! Ummmmm we were told we could come pick up at opening WTH!! They used to have a guy with dreads there super nice and he had better customer service... bring him back or get someone that can service customers the right way...

Probably the best cheesecake I've tried next to NY's that says a lot...I'm not even a big fan of cheesecake but this was absurdly good like I would go out of my way for this. My friend suggested this spot and was raving it so I decided to give it a try and boy was I surprised If you like cheesecakes this is the only spot in la you should go to.

Well as the saying goes, this review is well over do. I didn't know this gem was in the community. I was told by friend about Harriet's and decided to give the spot a try. (I am sorry I don't have pictures) but I ordered the pumpkin cheese cake. OMGosh delicious. Thick, creamy and flavorful! I can't go as often as I would like but this is one of my favorites!

Came here on a Friday at exactly 11. Line was already long but that's was ok. The place is just a small hole in the wall nothing fancy. There's only one person who was working the front and back. She was not the kindest person but rather had a strictly business attitude. Owner yelled a few times if more than 2 people were in the shop at once. We waited an hour but it was definitely worth the wait. Key lime, strawberry and chocolate fudge brownie were to die for. Now as for prices, some say it's pricey but it's honestly less than Cheesecake Factory and it's a small business. I'd support a small business anytime. I just wish the owner smiled a bit. I understand she's running a business but customer service is important. I might've come on a day that she was short staffed so I'm willing to try it again.

Holy moly...this is the best cheesecake I have EVER had. I picked up the strawberries & cream cheesecake for my husband's birthday and it's the best cheesecake either of us have ever had. Robin is such a sweet woman and ensured I had a perfect cheesecake for this occasion, and despite an unforeseen issue with the complex, she still managed to have the cake ready for me and prepared it very fresh. I cannot wait to go back for other cheesecakes and this is now a household name for us. Taste- it's very fresh, no artificial ingredients and it's not too sweet. There are chunks of fresh strawberries in it and the graham cracker crust has a slight crisp to it. They are family owned and very reasonably priced- just note it is cash only. I called a couple days before and she mentioned to me they only accept cash- so very proactive!

Every time I have a slice or an order of Harriet's it reminds me of home in the South. It's always made right, and overall DELICIOUS! Just make sure you call in your order ahead of time during especially during holidays. And did I say they were Black owned?! Enough said...

Must try cheesecake hidden gem. Black family owned and operated. The Cheesecake is a better than the Cheesecake Factory. They offer a vast variety of homemade cheesecake. You can purchase by the slice or entire pie. The sweet potato, white chocolate raspberry, praline and snickers are extraordinary. The crust is sooo good, it takes like they put brown sugar in the crust. The layer of cheesecake filling is not overly sweet yet extremely creamy. Must try location. Very reasonable prices. Sizable cheesecake slices. Cash only

Fantastic cheesecakes... but bad at business management. It seems like hours of operation are inconsistent at best. Be sure to call before you go. It's anyone's guess if they've gone out of business already.

Love the cheesecakes! Such a big variety and they taste so good! I don't like that they still use small paper plates to go. How hard is it to get plastic containers? Well I'll have to remember to bring one myself so I can take home the goodies intact!

SUBLIME! Harriet's daughter helped us out. What a peach she is. The cheesecakes were a success and enjoyed by all who was lucky enough to get a bite. We will be back again and again.
