"Looking for a quintessential Maryland crab house? Head to Harris on the Kent Narrows. This waterfront family-owned business has waterside dining and dock slip parking (if you arrive by boat). You can also call-ahead and pick-up a bushel of crabs on the way to the beach. Diners come here for orange crushes, crab cakes, and hushpuppies too." - Tim Ebner

"Harris is one of the iconic crab houses on Kent Island. During the week, it offers an all-you-can-eat steamed crab special that goes for a market rate (call ahead for the latest pricing). Try to snag seats in an outdoor pavilion that boasts waterfront views and live music. Check social media for sporadic AYCE crab feast nights. Soft shell crabs are available during the month of May." - Tierney Plumb, Tim Ebner

Excellent fresh seafood with a great view. Food was great, specially their fried crab cake. The only item that I ordered and did not love was their oyster appetizer which although very fresh, it did not have much taste. Everything else was easily 5/5. There’s a little of wait to sit outside but it is totally worth it and elevates the experience. Value 5/5 Service 5/5 One of the best seafood restaurants experiences that I’ve had and I highly recommend it.

Had great dining experience here today. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were excellent! The newly remodeled bar upstairs is awesome and provides so great view. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to provide the best experience. Great restraunt, I highly recommend you give them a try.

Google
Yes, this is wonderful Maryland Style Seafood! Big open dining room, water views and history right next door at their oyster processing facility. We make a trip down just for the Friday night ACE Oyster Night - but there is just so much more coming out of that kitchen. Probably the best Maryland Crab Soup I’ve had anywhere.

My two friends and I stopped here on the way to the eastern shore for crabs and it was awesome! On a summer Thurs at 8 pm it was pretty empty, and we got a killer spot on the patio to watch the sunset while we split a dozen. Our server made us not feel rushed even though we stayed a little past close. Thank you!

The food was really good, if not a bit expensive for serving sizes. We enjoyed the view, the wine, and the atmosphere for our wedding anniversary though. It was worth the drive, and the view and trip across the bay Bridge were incredible for first time visitors.

Google
Amazing crabcake broiled perfectly and bursting with crab! I was going to get it as a sandwich with fries but realized that the entree with two sides and cornbread was the same price. The broccoli was lightly salted and cooked just right. Homemade cornbread and potato salad were yummy. My partner got onion rings as one of his sides. They were sweet, tasty and generous. We are so glad we came here!

It was my first time but not some of my family members we had a party of 13. Our server Taylor was fantastic she went above and beyond. I ordered an Old Fashioned but it came back with soda in it and the bartender knew. I had to send it back, Taylor to the rescue. I had the 3lb crab legs several people order five dozens of crabs. Their hush puppies 😋😋😋

I’ve been to Harris MANY times including for my 21st birthday years ago. It has always been a staple for family celebrations from bdays to Mother’s Day, etc. This past weekend we traveled through TERRIBLE traffic to stop by Harris to celebrate Mother’s Day and unfortunately we were disappointed in the food. The menu had changed and they removed a few of our favorite foods. The rib/ chicken combo was completely removed and the po boys were apparently removed for the weekend. The waitress was just as puzzled as we were on why they made that choice. Additionally the crabs were smaller than usual and the ones that were decent size they were very light (weight). I ordered a soft shell crab Blt which came with fries and the fries were lukewarm. This was the second of 3 items that came out at a disappointing temperature. Our waitress was really good and saved the day with her service. (Thanks Hailey). Overall disappointed in the decline in food. I don’t think we will be back but we will always have the memories. ❤️

Yelp
Lindsay was a great server. Very friendly and attentive. The bar guy was very nice, let me try a couple of beers. Great draft selection. The place is large with inside and outside seating. Private parking lot. The food. Started with fried calamari with a green sauce. Looked funny but was very good/different. Beef brisket was good. Lots of BBQ sauce. Rock fish broiled sandwich was also good. French Fries with each lunch. Fresh and addicting. Would go back and also recommend this place.

Yelp
Draft beer in a plastic cup, really??!! That's low brow The food is decent, but not special Nice location, friendly staff

Yelp
So we were heading home over the bridge and decided that we wanted to get something to eat that we have never had. I looked on yelp and found this place Harris crab House. We were very very impressed with the customer service with the food itself and the food quickly came to us. Some places are hit or miss and this place itself is a hit. I can't see them doing any wrong because literally the food was so delicious and all of the servers were kind. We will definitely return the next time we cross the bridge

Yelp
Any crab house is a good crab house in Kent island, but this place is just a step above all the others in terms of quality of crabs. Dock side seating is always a pleasure as well. Our go to spot for crabs.

Yelp
Harris Crab House has been a go-to spot for me for many years, and I can confidently say that it has never failed to impress. This restaurant, nestled in Grasonville, Maryland, has become a cherished tradition for both family outings and gatherings with friends. **Fresh and Delicious Crabs:** The star of the show, of course, is the crabs. Every visit guarantees a feast of fresh and mouthwatering crabs that never disappoint. The quality is consistently high, showcasing their commitment to providing the best seafood experience. **Hot and Tasty Side Dishes:** The attention to detail extends to the side dishes, which always arrive hot and bursting with flavor. Personally, I'm a big fan of the corn, a delightful accompaniment that adds to the overall satisfaction of the meal. **Family Tradition - MD Blue Crabs:** For my family, weekends in the summer often mean at least one trip to Harris Crab House to indulge in the Maryland blue crabs we love. The bustling atmosphere is a testament to the restaurant's popularity, and while it can get busy, it's a clear sign of just how good their offerings are. **Parking Challenges - A Sign of Success:** Yes, finding parking can sometimes be a bit of a challenge, especially during peak hours. However, it's a small price to pay for the exceptional dining experience that awaits inside. The fact that they're consistently busy speaks volumes about the quality they deliver. **Recommendation:** If you're ever craving crabs or simply in the mood for a fantastic dining experience near Annapolis, Harris Crab House is the place to be. I wholeheartedly recommend checking it out, whether you're a local or just passing through. **Planning Ahead:** As I write this review, I'm already getting excited about planning my trip for this summer in 2024. Harris Crab House has become more than just a restaurant - it's a tradition, a place where memories are made and flavors are savored. In conclusion, Harris Crab House continues to be a beacon for crab enthusiasts, offering a dining experience that's consistently delightful. Here's to many more years of delicious crabs and warm memories at this Maryland gem!

Yelp
Nice restaurant, we come to have steamed crabs here all the way from DC every year. Always with good food and friendly staff. However, today we came here as a 3 person group, ordered a dozen crab, steamed mussels, fried oysters and 2 sodas; for about $150, that is fine. When checked out we ask the waitress to split the bill with 2 credit cards. The waitress told us that we are automatically charged for 20% tip on each card, we only need to sign on the receipt. Why? I hope the restaurant manager can tell me based on what we are mandatory charged for 20% tip for a 3 person meal?

Stevie D.

Yelp
Harris Crab House legendary. The hush puppies and crab cakes are pure perfection. The location is wonderful as you have water views. The service can be slow depending on how busy they are but order a cocktail and take it easy. They also have a dessert shop outside the restaurant and the ice cream is delicious. If you're in the area check it out.

Yelp
This is a waterfront seafood restaurant with no frills. A table on the second floor by the windows gets you a nice view of the water. The food was amazing. Service is attentive and friendly. Harris Seafood Basket $59.95 Half Pound Shrimp, Dozen Cherrystone Clams, One Pound Mussels, 6 Steamed Oysters, 3 Medium Crabs and Two Ears of Corn. - I would get this again in a heartbeat. It was so good!! Spicy Bloody Mary - Very good, but I would skip next time so I can focus on just the food. Cream of Crab - If you like clam chowder, you'll love this! Crab Cake Entree - Opted for the 2 Crab cakes and steamed. It was so so so good. I chose potato salad and coleslaw as the sides, and they were delicious as well.

Franco D.

Yelp
The staff @ Harris Crab House is always great. This place is busy, and rightfully so, because the seafood is great. If you have an issue with food, how about speak to the wait staff or manager. They will always do what is needed to fix it. Posting negative reviews is counter productive to help fix a problem. I have brought, family, friends and clients from all over the world here and not once has there been a complaint. Here was today's photo of the staff giving it their A+ service.

Ciara L.

Yelp
Really great experience! The staff was nice and food was great! The view of the water was amazing!

Shelley S.

Yelp
Savannah was the best waitress I had ever had! She is awesome! Ask for her when you get there!

Melody Y.

Yelp
The parking lot was packed even around 2ish pm! There's plenty of parking available but we definitely needed to circle around the lot a few times before being able to find a spot. Oysters: super fresh and not briny at all! Large crabs: very meaty and seasoned well. The table has extra old bay that you can use. You can also ask for melted butter on the side. Mini nutty buddy: it comes out very frozen and wrapped in plastic! Our waiter told us to let it thaw out for a bit before eating. This desert is homemade so be sure to try it out!

Monique H.

Yelp
Easy lot parking.. follow the ramp up to enter Dessert Shop on the right and you may stop in prior to if you have a sweet tooth. I didn't get any but the desserts looked good Staff was inviting and our waitress was knowledgeable and helpful as it was our first time here. Cute on the water crab restaurant , they serve an array of delicious foods. He got surf and turf with a side salad, corn on the cob and hush puppies. I just ate crabs which was delicious and full. They have AYCE crabs!! I think they were medium sized and very tasty. Will definitely come back!!

Yelp
Harris Crab House (433 Kent Narrow Way N, Grasonville, MD), a sea to table restaurant, has been around for 75 years. It is by the dockside on the water front. It is quintessential Americana. Perhaps the best crab restaurant around. But that does not mean you will always get jumbo or extra large crabs at Harris Crabs, because that depends upon the season. What I have found after frequent & regular visits since the early 90s is the best & freshest blue crabs. There is a lot more at Harris Crabs. A lot of seafood besides crabs. Plus a full desert bar(also dockside).

Perry B.

Yelp
I don't care if this is a tourist trap, you must go! The Harris crab house is one of Kent islands oldest and the last commercial oyster house in Maryland filled with a rich history. We were seated immediately, dockside and the fun began. We ordered jumbo crabs, hush puppies, side salad and the Harris seafood basket. This was my first time cracking open crabs, but my boyfriend is from Maryland and showed me the ropes. We also had a phenomenal waitress Heather who's was fun and engaging. She kept us shaded from the hot sun, adjusting our umbrella. Back to the food - the crabs were fresh this is really sea to table, well seasoned with old bay. The steamed pot was ok, I loved the shrimp but would've loved more flavor for the clams and mussels. The shrimp were fresh, flavorful and plump. Now the salad, I know who orders a salad, well me and I'm glad I did. The maple bacon vinaigrette really set it off. I want a bottle of that stuff. Lastly the hush puppies!! Omg the balance and flavor profile was so great that we got another basket to go. As for the drinks, the ginger beer and the Harris palmers were great. Like I said this place is a must if you're on Kent Island. Live a little go to have great vibes and even better fresh seafood!

Yelp
Stopped by Harris Crab House on a rainy day. It was busy but no wait for an inside table for two. Crawfish all-you-can eat was great. Large male crabs were heavy and cooked well, lots of meat! Something for everyone. Po'boys, oysters, scallops, salads and soups.. good menu choices. Oysters imperial were just ok, too much filler and salty for my taste. Onions rings ok. Hush puppies and corn on the cob excellent . It's pricey, bring a full wallet.

Fred K.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't written a review of this crab house. It's one of our goto places to eat when going to or from Eastern Shore or the beaches. It's about one hour from my home and it's one of the best crab houses in the area. They always have blue crabs and Sunday, March 26th they still had jumbo crabs (grabbed the last 4) and extra large crabs. It's always good here. We got steamed clams and they were the full belly clams and huge - but way too salty. When I was here earlier this month, we got the baked oyster sampler and it was a hit. They have a kids menu too and their Mac and cheese is the Kraft kind. My girl enjoyed it. The one knack is the upstairs dining room is hard to go up for the elderly. Wish they had an elevator but totally understand. Just have to wait for a table on main floor to open up. Great crab house not to be missed!

Yelp
This annual November visit we tried to decide between the All You Can Eat crabs or the other special which was 2 dozen medium but full crabs and a pound of spiced shrimp. We decided on the latter feast! We ordered hush puppies too, a favorite treat to join the goodies that we already had -- and that was enough for us! We ate to our hearts content, not to mention that we the two cold Blue Moon beers to highlight that girls night out! Harris Crab House is always good no matter when you go but it's less crowded Monday thru Thursday ...

Jamie M.

Yelp
We made the trip down here from Allentown for the Friday Oyster Buffet. Visited Thursday for the locals special, half dozen oysters and a Poor Boy. Coupled that with a few oranges crushes, an apple mule and the best vegetable crab soup I've ever had. Deep rich base, plenty of crab all without that overwhelming punch of old bay (they have their own crab spice, perfect blend and we brought home a container). Back on Friday for the oyster feast and we weren't disappointed- steamed, fried, buffalo, bacon & cheese, charbroiled, Rockefeller along with cream of crab and vegetable soup and a bunch of other goodness. The hit with us - fresh sucked. Sweet, briney and the perfect temperature. We had planned this trip for more than a year, so worth the wait.

Yelp
Exactly what it purports to be, an old-fashioned big ol' touristy seafood house with a huge variety of local and semi-local dishes and a lot of seating on the water. The food was fine, although perhaps we should have done the full pigout bucket o' crabs (always nice to have that option) we opted for grazing a series of appetizers and small plates to get a better sense of the range of options. Everything was good, cooked well for seafood/shellfish (not as easy as many think) although the fried stuff, the breading and frying dominated the flavors quite a bit. Better than average crab cakes. There was a huge array of beers available at pretty reasonable prices, all things considered, and that's something you have to have if you're going to do the seafood smorgasbord (which I wish they had, literally, but there are some combination plates, at least.) The spot on the water is very nice, though, and we were treated to a sunset view on a night when it was closing early (early in the season), and it was just super pleasant. Be aware we had a wait and the parking lot was full even on an off-season weeknight, so I can only imagine what the wait time is and how to navigate this place during the height of summer. Outstanding staff and perky service. Recommended if you're prepared to pay the sticker price.

Travis S.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. If you're looking for an amazing waterfront view, and some fresh seafood, well this is the place. I frequent Harris mostly in the summer to get that crab bisque. The prices are typical for the season but if you are a crab lover then the crabs all you can eat day is for you. The service is pretty fast and easy most times unless there is a major event going on. For all of my crab lovers the crabs are a nice size and you won't be disappointed trust me. In terms of the menu it's typical seafood stuff, I would say try it all lol and see what's for you. Definitely one of my favorite spots.

Melody A.

Yelp
So I didn't have the pleasure of going to this restaurant personally, but I did have the honor of trying their crabs and let me tell you that they are amazing. I tried them at the Crab Feast at Wegman's in Waugh Chapel and they were incredible. Steamed fresh, the meat fell so freely from the shells. The crab meat was so fresh, so soft and so tasty. Some of the best crabs that I have ever eaten. I will take that drive over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge very soon to experience the restaurant. Bravo!

Karl B.

Yelp
Good service. Beautiful setting. Food is variable. Crab cakes are very good. Oyster poboy has good breading but the oysters were not the best.

Sarah O.

Yelp
So this has been our family's staple stop for crab related things. I absolutely love their hush puppies and this time tried one of their specials, the crab pizza which was pretty good. There were 3 of us in the party and I would say our biggest complaint was the soup. Between us, we got both the regular Maryland crab soup and the cream of crab soup. Both were quite salty and the Maryland crab soup didn't taste that fresh.

Carol A.

Yelp
It's spring, and places like Harris Crab House aren't and won't ever be hurtin' for business-- they know it, and you know it too. I mean, it's Kent Narrows; you're aren't gonna be there accidentally; you're at a marina, and ya gotta eat. So, naturally one learns to manage expectations. It would be silly to expect too much-- and that was my mistake. I expected the menu description to be accurate; I expected to be informed of missing ingredients so that I could make another choice-- but none of that happened. Here's what happened: the menu said the dish was scallops, served with corn and crab risotto, spinach, and a red pepper coulis. The dish that arrived at my table was what you see below. I know, right? That's not a risotto. A risotto is Arborio rice, cooked in a boiling broth, rich and decadent. This was rice-- sad little separate grains topped with a smattering of Parmesan cheese and a few sliced green onions. There was crab in the rice but no corn. And there was no spinach. Apparently they ran out. But there was a generous helping of scallops, I'll give them that. The dish was $32. They took off $3.00. To the manager on duty, the protein was there, so why should it matter there was no corn or spinach? And the protein was there, so why should it matter that it wasn't actually a risotto? And really, let's be honest, in the grand scheme of things, I am one person, and what I think really doesn't matter --Harris Crab House will surely still be overrun by customers. But-- if you're anything like me, and details matter, truth in advertising matters, and transparency and communication with the customer matters, maybe you give Harris Crab House a pass, and take your business to one of the other area eateries that will treat you as though your business matters.

Eric T.

Yelp
Must try the fresh crab cake sandwich and key lime pie!! Will definitely return to try more sea food from the menu. Excellent happy staff and quick service. Spacious inside with water view and outside pier seating for those nice days!

Justine K.

Yelp
Have not been to Harris Crab in years but it was just as I remembered. On a Sunday evening in March at 6:30pm there was no wait. Unfortunately, they only had Medium crabs but in the entree we got there were 2 crabs and assortment of shell fish. We left completely satisfied.

MT M.

Yelp
We were a party of six on a Friday evening. We arrived in pairs. So, we had to wait until the entire party was there before we could be seated. Despite having to wait I thought the hostess was very friendly and accommodating. Our server, Kristen did a great job as well. We had an assortment of libations which were cold and refreshing. Five of us ordered the Oyster Buffet and the non-oyster eater ordered broiled crab cakes. Everything was delicious. The vegetable of the day was Brussels sprouts. I don't eat Brussels sprouts, but I heard they were good. There was also salad and some type of cream soup. I didn't partake in the either. Again I heard they were good. Overall it was a great dining experience.

Timothy H.

Yelp
Comfortable atmosphere, excellent service, quality food and drink. I highly recommend.

Danielle P.

Yelp
Food: 5 Location: 5 Customer Service: 5 Affordable: 5 Cleanness: 5 We stopped by this seafood restaurant yesterday for dinner, as we was driving from NYC to the DC area. We decided to stop by because they have excellent Google and Yelp reviews. We tried to do a call in take out order, but their staff informed us that they don't do call in orders on the weekends. So we just went inside and placed our order. Their staff was very friendly and professional. They food was seasoned very well and tasted very, very, good. Everything we ordered was very plentiful, and we found them to be very affordable. I'd highly recommend this seafood restaurant, and we would definitely return for another visit!!! All the food was yummy and fresh! We will return soon. Tip: they offer a military discount, owner thank U!

Dee D.

Yelp
Everything was delicious and fresh. Side of hush puppies and coleslaw went down easy. The seafood with the old bay was a little too salty but our server save the day and rinsed them. She was sweet and gave great service-- thanks Shannon! Also, has a fresh flounder fish sandwich with fries that was delicious. The cream of crab soup was sweet and okay if you are a cream soup lover. Love this place and like the outside table. Homemade mini nutty buddy at end.

Katrbu k.

Yelp
We went to the restaurant last night while visiting the area for my birthday. The service was terrible and the food was just as bad. I read the reviews in advance. Maybe we ordered the wrong things but I don't understand why this place is rated high. The crab legs were just ok. The portions were way small for the price. The crab cakes were very disappointing- almost inedible. Despite us saying it was a birthday dinner, the server was MIA most of the dinner. Barely checked on us and never brought us a bucket for our crabs so my plate was crowded with shells. It was just plain strange to be treated so poorly. We left without being offered dessert. Ended up stopping and requesting a smith island cake Togo with the hostess who was nice and welcoming. I suggest you skip this place.

Bryan C.

Yelp
Great time at Harris for lunch. First time here and had a great lunch. Had a dozen mediums (fair price) soke wings, fries, and green beans. Great food. Servers were running around so i would say 4.5/5 there just due to slight waiting for each beer. Ambiance is 6/5 though.

Peter S.

Yelp
Nice place but some crabs don't have meat. The crab pizza was very delicious. Seafood

Anna B.

Yelp
You have got to try their "tartar sauce". Best i've ever had, super forward garlic flavor and very fresh. Also our waitress was the bartender and solo waitress upstairs, she was great!

Lee Z.

Yelp
Gave this place another chance. I am glad I did. Went on a Saturday around 4;30 pm. Got seated right away upstairs. The service was great. Didn't feel rushed. Had the cream of crab soup. This consistency was perfect. Thick and creamy with the right amount of sherry. Enjoyed the taste with every bite with a piece of crab. The baked oyster sampler was pretty good. Like that we can try different baked oysters cooked several ways. The catch of the day was good. The Rockfish was slightly overcooked. The Crab Imperial and Bay Scallop was perfect. The dish came was served with roasted red potatoes and grilled Asparagus. An overall good experience.

Diane M.

Yelp
Really enjoyed eating crabs here overlooking the water. The view was beautiful. We ordered the extra large crabs. The jumbo was sold out. Our crabs did not disappoint. Nichole our server was excellent and extremely attentive. I will definitely be back.

Geoff B.

Yelp
I have been getting my crab fix at Harris' for over 30 years. Not only do they consistently have some of the best steamed crabs and seasoning but the setting on the water and friendly service make the drive to Kent Island worthwhile. Make sure to ask for their homemade Nutty Buddy for desert and of course. Sit outside when available.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
My uncle suggested Harris Crab House for a seafood stop and the water front dining. Our table was literally a foot or so from the edge of the dock! It was great! We saw lots of boats sailing by and even one going under the drawbridge. Location is great!! I had the Jumbo Crab Imperial and it was very good. The sides I chose were hush puppies and broccoli. Although they weren't the best I've ever had, they were still good. My dining companions agreed that the seafood was all good and the sides were okay. All in all, I would say the food was 3&1/2 to 4 and the location is a 5! I would gladly go there again or feel good about recommending it. Our server was nice, friendly and had a good suggestion when asked for a meal recommendation.

Yelp
Middle Finger Incident - Harris Crab House On 24 Oct 2023, I was with my Friend at Harris Crab House (HCH) minding our business & waiting to eat a Dozen of Medium Crabs. The Caucasian female in the picture is a person trying to set up my friend by using her phone to take pictures/videos of us for no reason. I took a picture & video of the person giving us the Middle Finger. We didn't even hold a conversation with her at all. This female went to the Manager that evening telling lies about us, then when we showed that manager the picture & video we thought the issue ended but it didn't at all. On 25 Oct 2023, we went back to the same establishment to talk to the General Manager, but just found out this person, Mr. William (Bill) Oertel, is the President and Owner; we stated to him about the incident that happened almost 24 hours prior. I provided him with the photo & video of the female giving us the Middle Finger. Mr, Oertel, stated that this was unacceptable & his business doesn't tolerate discrimination. I asked Mr. Oertel to find out what was exactly said the previous evening when we went to HCH. He stated, "I'll get back to you within 24 Hours." We did eat the Dozen Medium Crabs at HCH that evening of 25 Oct 2023 but the vibe of the atmosphere seemed off & it just didn't feel right at all. Mr. Oertel was on the phone outside behind the shed away from HCH after he saw both the picture & video of the Caucasian female giving us the Middle Finger & he seemed to be a little bit upset that we had evidence to back up our facts & on the evening of 25 Oct 2023, he didn't even ask us how we're doing or did we need anything at all. Today, 28 Oct 2023, almost 72 hours passed & this was the following text conversation that took place early between me & Mr. Oertel: Good Morning, I asked you a question on Wednesday with the exact statement that person told the Female Manager the Evening prior on 24 October 2023. (Me) I need a status by this Evening. (Me) Sir. I'm not sure why you have this tone with me. I don't appreciate it. I have no schedule that I have to keep with you. I have spoken to several people there that night. They have said that both parties involved had interactions with the other. I don't need to give you the exact statement of anyone. When customers have disagreements with other customers and we are informed at the time of the incident, we separate them if possible and ask both groups to not return if they can't conduct themselves with normal behavior. This has only happened a handful of times in our 40 years. This incident was reported only at the end of the event. We couldn't intervene, but we still requested that both groups not return if they can not conduct themselves reasonably. There was not decision made that was based on anyone's appearance like you had suggested several times to me. Like I explained to you when we talked face to face, no one at our restaurant cares what people look like. We treat everyone the same. I am sorry for your experience. The employees said that this was a 2 sided event. We have asked both parties involved to not return unless they can exhibit good behavior to other customers. I wish you and your companion well. (Mr. Bill Oertel) My tone wasn't bad & it was not bad @ all, all I asked was the exact false statement that's all (Me) What is your issue? (Me) You stated on Wednesday that you were going to let me know what was said within 24 Hours & all I was asking was for clarification of the status (Me) First, in summary, there wasn't any interaction between us & the person giving us the Middle Finger. Next, If there was any incident during the time we were there, why didn't the night Female Manager come to us to discuss what was said at that moment while we were eating Crabs instead of waiting until we were almost at my vehicle to discuss the incident & she (Night Manager) saw both the Picture & Video as well? Meanwhile, there wasn't ANY employee who stated &/or said that we had an argument/disagreement/or anything towards that person of that nature. Therefore; we weren't told anything about NOT ever coming back to HCH again because that NEVER happened at all. Nevertheless, this seemed like a "Racial overtone" from the President/Owner Mr. Bill Oertel because he will not receive the EXTRA funding from the FAKE Private Investigators (PIs) trying to intimidate my friend. Thus, from the statement (text replied) by Mr. Oertel, this is a "Racial tone" period because he doesn't want us to come back to HCH anymore due to him being called out for not providing me with the information that I inquired earlier today because it was close to 72 hours from that incident of that person giving us the Middle Finger. Lastly, because we're BLACK and showed evidence that we didn't do anything at all that evening of 24 Oct 2023, the President/Owner of the establishment requested that we don't ever come back there again so we are going to NOT come back there EVER again.

Yelp
What a lovely spot! On one of the rare warm Spring days, i came here for the fresh oysters from the oyster farm next door and the Louisiana crawfish since they're in season now. The patio is nicer, the waits shorter, fries crispier, and the cooked dishes more flavorful than cantler's, our usual crab house of choice where everything aside from the crabs usually disappoints. There are several tables outside right on the water. Once the nearby construction is over, it'll be lovely. There is a bridge nearby and some traffic noise, but it's still a nice patio. Service is attentive, laid back, and friendly. Onto the food! The fresh oysters were great, fresh as could be. The crawfish were super flavorful. I had the spicy version which was great but a tad salty. They remain, though, the best crawfish I've had. Then we got the rockfish tacos which were balanced with delicious tortillas. Finally the fries here are fabulous, super crispy and flavorful. I'll definitely be back during Maryland crab season!

Yelp
FYI We went to Harris Crab house in Graysonville Md and it was mediocre. They don't steam crabs with the seasoning.. it's tossed on top of crabs after they are cook‍ = NO flava Also they include an automatic 20% tip !!!! I won't be back. I actually like the place across from them. I should've went there but I wanted to try something new. The stars are for the hush puppies. The flow slaw was heavy and mayonaisy

Yelp
Food was okay Got a dozen crabs and liked that the seasoning wasn't too heavy. Decent size crabs with enough meat in them. We also got a basket of fries and hush puppies; the fries weren't as fresh tasting. Service on the other hand was not too happy with. We had a party of 9 but they couldn't sit us together so they split us 5 and 4. When we got our check, each table paid separately, we were charged with gratuity for 5+ people. We asked to take it off because we only had 5 but they said because we were a party of 9 they added that. However, each table had a different server and we paid separately- we basically weren't even "together." Not sure how that makes sense, so was pretty upset about that. Service wasn't even that great to be getting a 20% and it wasn't even dinner time. Ambiance wasn't bad, big space, not too loud.

Yelp
The Imperial crab was excellent. The crab bisque, however, tasted like floury tan glue, with a few thin threads of crab. Inedible, we asked to return it for a different soup because it tasted bad. The server said that she would return it This Time, but not when we came again! WHAT! I asked to change my side order and she said she would NOT. The French Fries were soggy, diners do better. The corn was pale and small. Taylor, the server, read us the rules of the road like a cop. Perhaps, other choices on the horrifically expensive menu are better, but if the soup tastes lousy, say you're sorry & make the customer, who is paying a pretty penny, happy! Also, canned applesauce & bad sides are featured with meals costing hundreds of dollars! It's a fun venue with cute crab themes and a nice view. Bring big bucks & speak up!

Yelp
It's an older, established venue. The food was good, the service was great. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Yelp
Well after a few years as a regular costumer, I most likely will not be returning after my past (2) experiences. Last week we had the crab dip and only ate half of it. My date and I both felt it was very bland. We also were told that they were not serving frozen drinks. We left very disappointed. Last night we ordered (2) dozen medium crabs, when I went to pay for them I noticed they I had been charged to much. I questioned my waitress and she informed me that when I ordered the crabs see assumed that I wanted the special that cost me an additional $40. See informed me that there was nothing she could do to rectify the problem. Sadly the place has gone down hill, as a result you have lost (3) good clients and the many guest we have brought over the years.

Yelp
Came in on early Sunday afternoon so only a 20 minute wait. Of course came for the crab, dozen large Maryland style...delicious. 1/2 and 1/2 crab soup and calamari to start (yummy!). Overall we got our time in, about 2 hours of cracking crabs and drinking local IPA. Great service with a lovely view watching the storm roll in over the bridge and the bay.

Yelp
Came for dinner with my husband. Sold out on crabs which was fine. Ordered onion rings but was not great, too much bread barely there onions and super greasy. Ordered oysters stew which was tasted unlike stew at all. It's more like watered down bisque that was room temperature not even hot soup. Ordered seafood bucket (pricey for subpar quality). The crab legs were not the freshest, oysters were tasteless. The muscles and clamps were alright. The waitress was not attentive at all. Kept forgetting to give us fork or crab pickers. When asked for container to go she forgot as well. The whole experience at this establishment was very disappointing and we definitely will never come back!

Yelp
I drove out to Kent Island/Kent Narrows with a friend a few weeks ago so we could go to Harris Crab House for a crab lunch. We ordered a pound of large crabs (they were out of mediums, but still had larges, ex-larges, and jumbos), a side of fries, and some peel and eat shrimp. The food was fine and the service was fine (it's a busy place, so service isn't very involved or chatty, but our waitress was very nice). The seafood was fresh, which is what you really want when you're talking crab and shrimp. The highlight of the meal for me was the water view - you can see the bay from inside or outside. We sat upstairs on the deck, and it made for a perfect summer day! It's definitely a good place to check out if you're wanting that classic Maryland crab experience!

Yelp
The staff is very efficient, they get the food out fast and with pleasant attitude. The food is well prepared and always delicious. But the reasons to come are the CRABS and the VIEWS. We live nearby, and we bring our visitors here first. We are never disappointed.
