I am coming from a different state and I can say this hospital is just amazing for the price they charge their services,I was in expensive hospitals around USA,and this hospital BenTaub has no comparison,it has: a very knowledgeable professionals, clean facilities, kind staff, quick service on the labs. It’s worth it to wait because of the correct diagnosis makes you feel better and relieved.Awesome hospital in Houston,5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I just recently went in to have a colonoscopy and I must say that the GI unit staff were really nice and helpful. They really were attentive and made me feel at ease. I usually get a bit of anxiety being out around alot of people and can also be scared when it comes to surgery/procedures. Kerstin who checked me in for the appointment was really the one who made my day. After meeting her I really felt good. She was so dang nice. The nuse in the GI unit Ms Minnie was also so sweet. My experiences with Ben Taub have been pretty good. Yes, I in the past had my moments of long waits being seen, but at the end of day, i was well taken care of and cant be mad at that. I am happy with the care I was given.

This place is awful. This used to be the hospital who I thought they had nurses that care well that’s not the case anymore. My fiancé came in because he could not feel his legs and he’s legally blind. I always go back to the back with him because he cannot see. I get told by wonder I was able to go back with him because Of his disability because the last time we came, they made me sit back and wait he was covered in urine and feces. There was a nurse named Marisol was very rude and tells me I have to wait in the visiting area. I was explaining to her how my fiancé cannot see cannot write very well but yet they took him and made him sign something he didn’t understand anything.

Need to focus on helping people instead of having a bunch of kids running around trying to play doctor. They ruled out it wasn't my gallbladder thank God but I'm still in excruciating pain which then triggers a panic attack my heart rate gets up to over 200bpm and that certainly can't be healthy almost everyday

Was taken here for a fall. They said I had tubuclosis. Gave me a unnecessary blood transfusion. Acussed my partner of domestic abuse. Left me lying in my own feces for over 8 hours. Never fed me. This happened one day after being discharged from another hospital for 2 surgeries. Worst hospital and experience I have ever been through. I would never want to see anyone go through what I did. I checked myself out and went back to the original hospital that I was in and got the medical care I needed. The first hospital is above and beyond the best and professional HCA Hospital is the most professional hospital I've ever been to

I was in a bad car accident recently and I was brought over to this hospital by ambulance. Let’s just say I wouldn’t recommend this hospital on my death bed! I was overly rushed out and wasn’t even checked properly. When I got home I still had glass from my car in my hair & body. Even before leaving I had to tell them about a big lump I had on my arm. Why did I have to inform you guys on something that was quite visible to the eye. I was brung in around 12am and rushed out by 2am. I was still leaking blood from my body & head. While still heavily drugged up I was told I was ok to check out and get in an uber. I still barely remember my uber ride and getting home due to medications still in my system. They didn’t even have the decency to let me fully recover first before discharging me. I felt so helpless because I am in Houston alone and this was a very traumatic experience. Idk if they thought I didn’t have insurance, but I Do. I should’ve never been treated that way. Just tossed to the curb after the BARE MINIMUM. How the hell did I go home with glass in my hair, back & arms still????? just sick!!!! I pray there family members are never treated as such. I hope this place goes under review!!!!

This hospital was a nightmare on earth, the worst experience I could ever imagine. I had a very bad experience at Ben Taub Hospital. My wife was in labor and suffering from serious pain. I was waiting outside in the designated waiting area, expecting to be called when needed. Without informing me, the staff asked my wife to walk more than 500 feet away to another part of the building at the very moment she was close to giving birth. By chance, I knocked on the nurses’ door to ask about her condition. They told me she was not there and that I should go to the other side of the building. I ran through the hospital asking people if they had seen my wife until I finally found her in the delivery room. My wife does not speak English well, and she later told me that because of her severe pain, she did not fully understand what the staff was doing or where they were taking her. This made the situation even worse. When I spoke to the doctor, she told me my wife still had two to three hours before delivery. However, my wife, who already has experience giving birth, told me it was time and the baby was coming. The doctor and her team then left the room. Within just two minutes, my wife gave birth, and there was nobody in the room to assist us except me. I had to handle the situation on my own. About five minutes later, the staff returned and apologized. This experience was terrifying and unacceptable. A hospital should provide safety, care, and proper medical attention, not leave patients alone at such a critical moment.

Awesome service! The nursing staff made us feel welcome, and were prompt to answer the call light immediately. They were careful with our concerns, and patient with our questions. Hospitals aren't my favorite, however it was a good experience overall. We didn't have to stay long fortunately. I can't give 5 stars because I don't like Hospitals in general. With the annouying need to check vitals too often. That is just all Hospitals, trying to follow protocol. This is a good Hospital though. Thank you!

Yelp
They arrested me Adventure hospital for buying a bottle of water and telling the supervisor that his coworker was aggressively talking to me while I was waiting for my brother having surgery

Yelp
If I could go anywhere else but Harris Health Ben Taub Hospital for my cervical root disorder, I would. I've been using Harris Health in general for 5 years. Other than Dr. Tucker at the Smith clinic, this whole institution is the worse. I fought with the Orthopedic clinic for 2 years to get my knee replacement. Now I've been fighting with neurology clinic for almost 2 years to get my cervical issue fixed. It's been excuse after excuse. I was told by THREE different people on 04-18-25 that my surgery was on schedule for 04-21-25. I finally got a hold to the OR main desk at ben taub on 04-20-25 and was told that I had been taken off, but couldn't tell me why I'm calling EVERY news media on 4-21-25. Because this institution continuously disregards the patients who need help.

Yelp
I was accused of shoplifting a can of bubbly water by a person in Lori's Gift Shop. A public safety person was in the shop at the time I was in the shop. I decided I did not want to purchase the can because it was way overpriced. I left and was seated in the lobby and the same public safety person approached me and asked did I just left the shop. I told him yes. He was given access to my belongings and found nothing. I was told that a manager called for him to pursue me. This is a lie because he was in the shop. He looked through my medications and then asked what was in my purse. I let him see although it is not big enough to hold a 12 oz. can. I was not apologized to. He had an expression on his face like he wanted to attack me. I reported it to the supervisor, and he acted like he had no idea of who this person was. If he responded to a call why would he not know who he was. I got lied on and humiliated for no good reason. The public safety personnel are really aggressive and nasty. This same man was in the emergency area shouting at an elderly woman in the same aggressive manner that he treated me. Patient relations person swept the matter over as well. I would have used the water fountain before stealing from this shop. I am a taxpayer and this is how they are paid through public funds. I only hope that all involved will live long enough for karma to give them back what I have been given. This all comes at a time when there are pleas to fund for a bigger hospital. They should take care of what they have before asking for more.

Yelp
The hospital has the very best of the best in medicine; It is a teaching hospital and had a number of interns who are learning. The supervisors are absolutely amazing. The nursing staff and attendants are very empathetic and will go out of their way to be helpful God bless the folks at Ben Taub for the culture, care and medics expertise. Houston is blessed to have them here.

Yelp
If I could give a negative star I would... where do I even begin.. first off the social workers are shit starting with Michael and supervisor Tiffany. Micheal took it upon himself to pull my cousins wide marriage lic on line !! Then proceeded to tell her she was not married and took her off next to kin when infact he had the wrong person. No amount of paperwork was excepted .. then it held him back from getting the gold card. We filed complaint with supervisor Tiffany and she acted like there was no wrong doing while his wife watched her husband thru a glass and could not make decisions for him. This bs continues for 60 days while he was in icu in a sedated coma. Now he is up no insurance and getting worse care . No one to complain to because it goes to deaf ear . But here are pictures. Laying in shit .. bed sheets never changed he fell his urine up to 4 containers full of piss on bed rail no one checks him or helps him to restroom . 3 bags of trash we took out 3 bags huge bags of linen we took out no mopping his floor no cleaning track caller nurse yelled at him that she was not gonna clean after him when he didn't know what he was doing nurse comes in puts him on bed pan then leaves him there with crap til next day that we get there to clean him. He had acmini stroke yesterday we called nurse never came his wife hade to go to the desk running to tell them something is absolutely wrong and nurse on his phone walking slow to the room so much more that don't fit on here..

Yelp
I have had one of the worst possible experiences at Ben Taub. I wasn't even a patient. I'm here waiting for a loved one and I continuously hear inappropriate conversations between Nathaniel Redmon and co-workers. This young man was not very welcoming to me and very short. I assume this is because I am homosexual. Nathaniel is continuously saying why he doesn't understand how a woman could be gay due to buying $300 strap ons. He also stated in multiple conversations that women ONLY make money to get away from "niggas". He stated that women are made to be with only one man and has to be willing to share her husband with many others because "niggas" are made to have multiple wives. When asked about the motive of conversation Nathanial responded "because it's my conversation". After leaving out to cool off the Park Ranger Jackson (not sure if this is actually his name or not) and 2 other rangers walked up to a lady and told her to "park your ass off this bench". this is completely unprofessional. I am also homosexual. I felt very uncomfortable throughout my whole visit. This place needs to be shut down.

Yelp
I never right a review anywhere but the pain I was in very crucial. I was waiting in lobby at least 15 hours without wheelchair with leg extender. So very uncomfortable until I asked a woman named Kristen and Jenny in G Pod who helped me get a recliner to wait in lobby and pushing my visit. I was so thankful for them I would like for them to get noticed for really helping folks out and listening and attending my needs thank you. I was out 24 hours later I still need to go get surgery hopefully I will get some help.
