This store cheats customers in the butcher department. I ordered an entire angus reserve filet mignon loin for a picnic and watched the butcher set aside two pounds of meat in a separately wrapped package after weighing at 7.17 pounds. When I went to the front register it was weighed at 5.05 pounds. At $22.99 a pound that was $50 of prime filet mignon that the butcher tried to cheat me out of. Christine, the manager confronted the worker who then produced a separate package which was set aside and neatly wrapped. In the end, I paid $80.74 after a significant manager discount and that employee gets to explain why a $168 piece of Reserve Angus Filet Mignon was sold for $80.74. The saddest thing is that this isn’t the first time and Christine remembers me from the last time the butchers were caught stealing. Shoppers beware and check your weight when leaving the Harris Teeter located on Raeford Road in Fayetteville, NC.

Very nice and well maintained Harris Teeter. Multiple employees in each department with all items stocked. If you have any issues at speak to customer service they are happy to refund or assist anyway they can. Checkout the weekly food schedule.

Five-Star Review: Harris Teeter – A Grocery Store You Can Always Count On Harris Teeter is hands-down one of the best grocery stores around. Every time I shop here, I’m reminded why it’s my go-to place for everything I need. Whether it’s fresh produce, high-quality meats, household essentials, or specialty items, they have it all—and it’s always well-stocked and organized. The store is clean, bright, and easy to navigate, making the shopping experience smooth and enjoyable. The staff are friendly, helpful, and truly go out of their way to make sure customers feel taken care of. I’ve had employees stop what they’re doing just to help me find an item or answer a question—and that kind of service means a lot. What I love most is that I can always count on Harris Teeter. Whether I’m doing a big grocery run or just stopping in for a few things, I know I’ll find what I need. Their produce is always fresh, their selection is impressive, and their bakery and deli sections are top-notch. Harris Teeter makes shopping simple, convenient, and reliable—everything a great grocery store should be. Five stars all the way!

I don't shop at Harris Teeter much because the price are extremely high. However today I decided to shop again after last visit 7 months ago and I have to tell you I was extremely shocked from the quality of the vegetable and fruit. I can't even touch the celery because was disgusting. I want to ask the store manager to shop on Sunday at Harris Teeter on Raeford road.

On Friday, July 25th around 10:40am, I visited Harris Teeter to purchase the $3.99 watermelon advertised in this week’s Weekly Special. I couldn’t find the item on the floor, so I showed a photo of the ad to an employee who was restocking. He immediately paused his work and kindly escorted me to the back area of the store, where he let me select a watermelon. It seems the shipment had arrived late and the items hadn’t been displayed yet. Not only did he let me pick one, but he also sliced a melon open to show me its condition. His thoughtful and attentive service reminded me of a concierge at a luxury hotel. Thank you so much, Terry! I’ve been shopping at various Harris Teeter locations for about seven years, and across all the stores I’ve visited, I’ve never experienced service as outstanding as I did today. From now on, the Harris Teeter at Highland Center, 2800 Raeford Rd in Fayetteville—where Terry works—will be my go-to store.

Google
The hot bar has really really good food. It's just a little pricey. It's over 10$ a pound. It's easy for a lunch plate to jump up to 30$. The food is good though. Shepard pie southern fried chicken hot wings noodles fried rice etc. Food is very good

This Harris Teeter has some very unprofessional employees working here. The customer service is mediocre and the prices for items tend to be higher than other grocery stores. They do have a decent seafood selection. The meat selection is mediocre.

I had a pizza bought for me from Harris Teeter I was looking forward to tasting it I have been looking for a place that can make a decent pizza like I don’t expect it to taste like the ones from New York, Chicago, or Connecticut but decent upon tasting the first bite the pizza was extremely salty it was unbeatable awfully, awfully salty. I couldn’t believe it I put my hand on the pizza and could feel the salt on as well as in the box. Apparently someone thought it was a good idea to sprinkle salt on top of the pizza which was really messed up! Not nice and an awful thing to do. I called Harris Teeter and the guy who answered was sarcastic he said "now why would we do that!” I said my point exactly!! I asked to speak to customer service and he didn’t transfer me just left on the phone. I hang up and called directly to customer service. I can’t go into Harris Teeter I have allergies to seafood due to Sushi’s bar it’s overwhelming and it’s not properly ventilated. I was treated as if I didn’t know what SALTY IS!!

Yelp
The floral department is fantastic! I bought additional flowers in bulk here for my Fall wedding. I purchased a variety of flowers on a Wednesday for my out-of-town Sunday wedding and the flowers held up beautifully! I recommend them over any other grocery store floral department or local florist based on price and quality/freshness of flowers alone. It doesn't hurt that the store itself is super nice and welcoming!

Yelp
Don't bother ordering a cake over the phone if you actually want your cake. Ordered earlier this week for pickup today but no one could find the order when we went in to pick it up.

Yelp
Purchased a photo cake from Harris Teeter Bakery, 2800 Raeford Rd, Fayetteville NC, for my mother's wedding anniversary. The cake decorator did an excellent job. The cake surpassed my expectation. My mother said it was the most beautiful cake she had ever seen and did not want to cut it. Sent photos of it to my family members. My brother described the cake as "absolutely stunning!" Thank you very much.

Yelp
That was a terrible experience. I was buying two oranges--I placed one on the scale, selected a quantity of two, and then put the second orange straight into my cart. The system flagged me, and an associate reviewed the footage. He gave me a nasty look after seeing me put one orange in the cart without scanning it. I've used a similar system at Costco and never had such an issue. The associate kept staring at me like I was trying to steal an orange. If their system showed both footage, this wouldn't have happened. I'm never shopping there again! i will never forget how associate looked at me. He even didn't talk with me that was more annoying.

Yelp
Really impressed with this store. Very clean and pretty much anything you need. Great wine and beer selection too!

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised as I walked inside this store yesterday. Today it's Go VOTE Tuesday, Folks, I don't know if our votes matters but just in case, let's bring 45 back where he belongs. The store is enormous they got everything including white people...lol. I arrived September 29th and I swear I thought there were not but today I saw the most in one place, reminded me of Northgate Market. HOT FOOD, Bakery, Deli, Carniceria, you name it it's here but I also noticed it may not be that pocket friendly. Abuelita Mexican Chocolate was $11.99 vs Food Lion $4.89 & The commissary price under $4.00. On my way out, this adorable grandmother had just finished putting groceries into car. She has a cane, I offered to return cart/buggy where it belongs. We started talking...yes encouraging me to vote for our President not realizing I'm wearing a red hat. So we she talked, and talked...and talked. This was a definitely p,peasant encountered. We were still engaged into our conversation that an employee took the cart back. In closing, I really enjoyed my visit even though I live on the other side of Raeford near VA Hospital occasionally I will be doing my shopping here. To this store, my sincere gratitude.

Yelp
I never ever have complaints from this Harris Teeter with employees.. however today, I was down the produce aisle and there was a man stocking and a lady moping the floors. I went to ask the lady mopping where I could find something in the store. Before she could finish the stocking man put his hand on my buggy and back and basically escorted me away from where she was mopping. I knew she was mopping and I'm aware of my surroundings to not have an accident myself and to see where she was cleaning. I was dumbfounded and shocked. Never will be returning to this store again.

Yelp
Deli needs a number system, no regard for customer service at least not if you are of color, was ignored & disregarded on several occasions by several Associates...but if a white customer goes to that glass they jump to assist! Ty & I'd rather go to PUBLIC'S anyway!!! Better customer service!!!!

Mikayla H.

Yelp
good prices, good customer service, good food items and specials they have every week, the only thing to complain about is how they close main door and you gotta walk all the way to the other end if you do self check out.

Yelp
Harris Teeter is probably my favorite grocery store and I like no frills ones to the more high end. This particular store on Raeford Rd is my favorite. Like it better than ones in Raleigh and definitely better than the 2 I go to in Greenville. The employees are friendly, helpful and look at you. Seafood is my favorite department and produce always well stocked. Nightly hot bar and special good.

Yelp
I wanna give a shout out to Kim from the bakery department that helped me today! I picked out a cake and needed a last minute written message on it! And she was super happy to help me! She was so very helpful and kind! Will definitely always come back here for whenever I have a celebration! Thanks again Kim!

Yelp
I am so thankful to all the employees of this Harris Teeter, on Raeford Road, in Fayetteville, NC, but to one employee in particular, Freddie. I lost my wallet which contained my mother-in-law's card, as well as all of my stuff and cash. I cannot tell you how distraught I was. I could only slightly hope all would be okay again. When I called the store to see if it had been found, the nice young man who answered the phone assured me they had it and to drive safe. Now wasn't that the kindest words I could have heard? I cannot tell you how thankful I was when I arrived back at the store and was given my wallet. I asked if the person that found it had left their name. They asked Freddie, the one who had brought it to the desk and he said it was him. He just waved it off as just doing his job. I owe Freddie and the entire store a tremendous thank you for saving me from all the woes that could have easily come my way. Please, please thank the staff for their honesty and concern for their customers. They keep the store clean and fresh, well stocked with many items I can't find elsewhere, even online. I will forever be indebted and thankful to them for their honesty and great kindness they extended to me and my family. And thank you, each member of staff, for running a totally awesome store and the service you extend, keeping the store welcoming and sparkling. We appreciate all you do! Thank you!

Paul T.

Yelp
This store is turning into Wal-Mart. Kroger has clearly chosen to under-invest in this store. Customer service is not what it once was. There are not enough cashiers. There are not enough workers to help locate items. Kroger corporate is to blame. They need to increase staffing, but apparently they just do not care. Profits above all else apparently.

Yohana R.

Yelp
This store DOES NOT accept Apple Pay!! Even though it clearly says on the website that they do.

Yelp
I drive across town to shop here. I really like the deli selection of Boars Head Brand meats, and they carry Jack Cheese without peppers in the deli section. The bakery has great sourdough bread in mini loaf size that works well for me. The customer service is hit and miss, but they have some great sales. As a BONUS there is a Starbucks just inside the door so you can enjoy a Frapp while you shop. Nice wine selection, produce is nice and they carry my clementine oranges that I love. They are cheaper than Food Lion if you factor in the sales and great coupon promos. We sure could use one of these in the North Ramsey area.

Yelp
Harris Teeter was one of my favorite grocery stores. I stopped in and right at the front of the store they had Hass Avocados 2 for $.97 vs $2.49. Good deal right...everyone needs to check their receipts when shopping at Harris Teeter. They now have two memberships: Vic and E-Vic...I don't have E-Vic tired of my e-mail being spammed not just Harris Teeter, but most companies do that today. Well at check I find I'm being charged $2.49 instead of $.97...had I not seen it I would have never known. Vic members beware while shopping...I'm not getting a second membership when my first should suffice.

Yelp
Loving the late night shopping experience. The place is spotless and fun to shop at. Open 24-hours and no rush.

Yelp
I hate every worker here. Every time I come in here I have some kind of bad experience. I don't think it's possible to change that anywhere but I don't care.

Yelp
Yesterday I went into Harris Teeter on Raeford Road after calling the bakery. I was inquiring about a birthday cake for my daughter. It was a picture of something that she drew. I was told by the manager and the two women working in the bakery that it could not be made because of a copyright. However, I did pick up a Tarheel cake that morning for a friend's birthday and also our daughter had the exact same drawing last year. The manager stated to me that the policy changed last year.

Yelp
Beautiful store with great hot food & salad bars, pizza, deli. Love their roasted chicken breast but wish they had it more often. Always seems to be clean and fairly well stocked when I go. My one complaint is the wait to check out. They never seem to have enough cashiers and the lines can get very long. Amazingly the cashiers I've encountered amongst the madness are very helpful and friendly. Self checkout is okay but scanners always seem cantankerous, at least for me anyway. I like this store but I have to say I'm very anxious for Publix to open just down the road. UPDATE: still never enough cashiers on duty. Scanners on self checkout still a pain in the ass. Enough. I'm done with this place.

Yelp
I wrote a glowing review on their subs about 1 yr ago, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to sing a different tune with this review. I realize that costs are high, but when an item is on sale, it should still be prepared as a normally priced one should - with the same care and amount of ingredients. I have ordered a couple online in the past few months, and they were made as completely wrong as they could have been made, short of changing the meat. They were fortunately refunded and remade at no charge. However, it cost me an hour of drive and wait time, and a couple gallons of gas to do so, as I don't live near a HT. The last two I got were very disappointing indeed. We watched the two men in front of us and one beside us get sandwiches that were piled sky high with meat, and the ones we got had one layer of meats, barely covering the bread from end to end, and the slices of salami were so thin, they were not even complete rounds. The other three sandwiches just mentioned had the meat piled and folded a good inch tall on top of the bun. They did not order or pay for extra meat. Also, one of the buns we got was mauled and smashed - the guy didn't cut it, he just grabbed it tight and ripped it open. That sub ended up being about 1.5 inches tall when he wrapped it up. The steadily decreasing quality of the subs, coupled with the fact that many other sale items are 'empty shelves' all through the week, has made me decide to pretty much quit shopping at HT. It's too much like a "Bait & Switch" sales tactic. I do not believe it has anything to do with COVID-related delays. I've been paying attention to it, and find that those same sale items are completely restocked the the day after that sale ends.

Yelp
I always love shopping at Harris Teeter and my kids love it too! Of course, their favorite part is the free sugar cookies for the kids and the little grocery carts for them to shop like the adults! Makes shopping so much more easier for parents and fun for kids. Also has a very good produce section!
google avatar

Timothy A.

Yelp
Recently refurbished and always a fresh selection of food, this used to be my grocer of choice when I lived in Fayetteville. Now that I live elsewhere, I still choose HT based on this experience and have been pleased with the quality of food and service vs the other options like Food Lion or BI-LO. You're going to pay for what you get, but you're also going to get what you pay for.
google avatar

Yelp
Harris Teeter is the only real food store in the area. Full service store in which you can shop for all your family needs. They have an international aisle with more than just Fake Mexican or Chinese food. You can get a large selection of items. Prices are very fair and seem to fall in line the with base prices. I can buy a lot of the German food staples here so I am in Heaven. Small beer and wine selection but it is better than anything else that I have found.

Yelp
I really like Harris Teeter but this particular one has a deli department that does not deliver. Ordered chicken on Fried Friday and got two buckets of beautiful fried chicken that was bloody and raw inside. Had to drive 20 minutes to take it back. Yuck! The lady who took it back said that it had been cooked that morning. That part did not make sense....
google avatar

Beverly C.

Yelp
Best grocery store in Fayetteville if you like organic options. They could always use more but at least there are options for fruits/veggies and meat. Can be a bit pricey but not if you sign up to be a member and use double coupons.
google avatar

Deirdre K.

Yelp
Can't do major shopping but they have awesome deals! Love the variety. And boars head.
google avatar

David V.

Yelp
There was no gluten free bread or organic cheese. The beef is clearly dyed. The employees themselves seem to be clogging aisles everywhere. Cannot maneuver or move around to save your life. Never again.

Tammy T.

Yelp
Yes I called this location to see if they had air duster aerosol. The worker told me that they did have it, so I asked the price and she told me she did not know. I asked her could she please find out and was placed on hold for over twenty minutes. Finally, another worker picked up the call and in a matter of three minutes told me that Harris Teeter did not carry that product. If I could give a zero for the customer service that I received from the first employee, then I would. For the sweet lady, which did apologize for what the first worker had done, who answered the second time, I would give her a five stars.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty irritated right now. Really enjoy the special on subs on Friday, but last time I ordered multiple subs and walked in, the wait was crazy! So that day I was told if I order online, they would be ready when I came in for pick up. Tried this out today. Placed my order at 4:15 for pick up at 6. Got here at 5:55 and of course there were people in line. 1 worker was making 3 subs for 1 person and the other 2 subs. I asked the sushi person if he knew where to pick up orders, and sub person, Iris, said she was working on it. Well, she did her 2 subs and then STARTS my order. I asked, oh are you just starting? And she tells me they have been busy and it's their busiest day of the week. I told her my order was placed earlier and pick up was for 6. She said she had other orders in front of me and there were also walk in customers to take care of. I told her last time I came in and had a long wait, I was told if I order online it will be ready when I come in. I was told "sorry". As I explained to the associated, I dont understand what the point is of pre ordering if there is still a (long) wait? I feel this should be addressed differently. Maybe take 1 walk in to every pre order? Certainly dont penalize people who take the time to pre order. I had a busy schedule tonight, which is why I ordered ahead, and now the rest of my evening is thrown off....pretty crappy.

Anthony C.

Yelp
Really disappointed in customer service of H T. Bought balloons from them. Had two of those giant balloons #1 & 7I had purchased elsewhere that needed to be filled. Understand they did not have to fill them so I offered to buy the number they had which was a 7 but no 1. They would fill the 7 they had but would not the fill the 1 I had from another store. I offered to pay for helium but nope. Reminded them I come there twice a month spend about 200 to 300 dollars with them monthly but nope would not do it. I was pissed however Publix down the road said no problem and took my money. Guess I am getting a new grocery store now. I would give HY a zero but cannot

Yelp
I really like Harris Teeter just as a general rule of thumb. This location is pretty good I actually drive past a Walmart and two Food Lions to go here. Pros -Its always clean and they always have plenty of carts (problems at other places) -They have a great selection of produce at comparable prices to lower budget grocery stores. This is the main thing I shop for so this is important. -They seem to have a good selection of pantry items -Very kind and courteous staff. Con's -The parking here is AWFUL. Like the worst place to drive around and try to find a parking spot. There is just not nearly enough parking for a such a big grocery store in an already busy shopping center. I avoid this place between 10am-8pm and weekends for sure. -Not a fan of their butcher. I'm not sure if they were new or what but they didn't seem to have any idea about questions I asked about their availability. -I wish the florist had a bigger selection of types of flowers rather than just lots of similar types. - I have noticed a couple of time that the same type of produce is always bad or nearly bad. I have also bought things only for them to go bad the next day.

Yelp
Love this store! So it's pricer than Wal Mart but their specials are great. Staff is usually cheerful and helpful. Lots to pick from if you are more of the chef type, many ingredients and spices and oils not found at Spazz Mart. Carts are always in working condition. I love the deli, and the salad bar is more than just a salad bar. They have a hot bar with breakfasts and lunch/dinner items, soups, and one side is an Asian bar with hot food. Pizza bar is good for fresh pizza as is the bread section. Nice wine selection and import beers. Pretty good on seafood too.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Extremely clean and they have great employees. The wine selection here is massive. The fancy beer section is something that my boyfriend absolutely wouldn't be able to live without. The cheese section is great with lots of variety. The ethnic food section is amazing.

Yelp
Love the 24 hours. Just a warning..do not go in the evening after 8 pm if you are in a rush. There is usually only 2 cashiers running a lane and the self checkout is full of super-duper coupon collectors. The way it is set up, they scan all of their items, (no limit) and then have to wait for the person at the self checkout podium to run the coupons. All 4 self checkouts will have 4 people who have rung up their items, and all waiting to be called up to give their coupons (which seems to take 5 mins + per person). Nothing against the couponers, but Harris Teeter needs to make adjustments to their process. I wait an average of 25 mins in line with 6 items due to the coupon back up. (2 times a week).

Yelp
Love love love...Great selection of beer is a plus. Also it's very clean and they have a huge selection of fresh food like the bakery and a buffet style bar as well.
google avatar

Brooks Y.

Yelp
Love this grocery store! It's got so many fresh choices from produce to fruit, meats and seafood. One of my favorite things is the huge beer and wine selection. I don't pick through much of the wine, but it's probably my favorite place to get beer in the Fort Bragg area. They have probably 40+ craft beers available in their build your own 6 pack area. All for $10! They have an insanely large selection of cheeses as well as dozens of different types of fruit, both exotic and local. The icing on the cake with this grocery has to be though price though. Organic style grocery stores seem to have the perception of being quite a bit more expensive, but I would say this HT is more in line with a Food Lion or any other regular grocery store. I would defiantly recommend HT to any of my friends who are looking for a healthy, affordable, and diverse grocery store. My only suggestion is that they build one in spring lake so I don't have to drive thirty minutes to get there!
google avatar

Terrell W.

Yelp
I love shopping here. There is always a great selection of food I am looking for. As an Extreme Couponer I love that they double coupons every day and then they have weeks where they run Super Double and Triple coupons. The only downside perhaps is that the deli always runs out of sub bread on Friday afternoons before 6 PM. Most people don't get off work until 5 PM, so to run out of bread before 6 PM is just ridiculous. They need to #GetItTogether and #GetSomewhereAndSitDownWithThatFoolishness.

Yelp
Going to Harris Teeter is like going on a field trip!! It has such a great selection. It's the closest grocery store that compares to TJ's or Whole Foods. Can't wait until the new one opens up on my side of town!! I gave it 4 stars only because it's pricey, but I do feel like you get your moneys worth.
google avatar

M G.

Yelp
The store itself is nice and fully stocked with many brands, but whenever there is a special people come out of the woodwork and just stand around. It's overcrowded. They're not coming to the store to shop for other food, just the specials. Maybe a manager should direct them as to where to stand or how to form a line. I could not reach around people at the deli to get what I needed and I don't have an hour to wait.
google avatar

Dani M.

Yelp
The Not-So Friendly Neighborhood Market!! I decided to go here because I'd heard such great things and honestly I was so excited to be able to shop their specials, and use double coupons. Plus I've heard great things about their selection as well. I went inside and started to look around, and mostly I was just stared at. It was kind of nerve racking, but nonetheless I kept looking around. I went up to customer service to get a VIC card, and I stood there for 15 minutes while the employees stood around talking. One even told me they'd be a second, and I smiled and said no problem. 15 minutes later I'm still standing there listening to their conversation about so and so and what happened to them. So it wasn't really a work related issue. Another employee walked past me as well, even though I tried to gain attention by saying excuse me. Finally someone came over and I said I'd like to sign up for a VIC card, and they just pointed at the little electronic pad they have. So I looked at it, and though okay this shouldn't be an issue. The employee came over scanned my ID and than said fill it out and walked back to her conversation. So i began to fill it out and it exited out some how or another. It's an electronic that's what those devices do. So I tried to gain attention again by walking over and saying excuse me I needed help, and saying that I didn't think I did it correctly. I waited another 10 or so minutes and one came over and acted annoyed. Finally after that 30 minutes went by I had a VIC card. So I proceeded to look around and start shopping. I got out my list, and their flyer. I looked around in the produce section and was no overly impressed. I had to really hunt for fresh produce that wasn't soft, or starting to already go bad. At one point I asked someone who I assumed worked there if they could help me grab something off a taller shelf, and they kind of just walked away. I'm not sure if they didn't work there or what, but I guess I'll never find out. I eventually started putting my items back after a few other shoppers and employees just rudely kept saying excuse me and bumping into my cart without even apologizing. I left and I honestly won't be back.
google avatar

Nicole F.

Yelp
I love this place! It has the BEST and greatest selection of beer and wine. The produce is plenty and always fresh. I dont have to fumble through bad spots when looking for a good apple. I can find everything easily and the store is always clean. And before you start checking off your items on the list...stop by the Starbucks inside and then make the grocery shopping experience even better!

Yelp
This review is about the deli only. I have shopped here for more than 15 years. There are some attentive workers but many times I feel like the workers behave like union guys. It appears that management has tried to improve things by hiring more workers but sometimes when I go there, two people are working and two or three more are standing around doing busy work while the customers are lining up. They wear gloves and give the appearance of sterility and cleanliness but one of the ladies was fixing her glasses and scratched her face with the gloves that she then used to handle somebody's order. I will ask them to put on new gloves next time I shop here because God knows what they were doing earlier.

Yelp
Pricey? Yes, but totally worth it. Great selection of food. The only thing I have to add is that there beer selection is pretty solid.

Yelp
Hands down the best grocery store in Fayetteville. Customer service is wonderful. Had an issue with service received at the Starbucks and the manager I spoke with was friendly and attentive. Excellent salad/hot bar. All-around top notch.

Yelp
I like this Harris Teeter! It's big and it's got everything you might need... including a Starbucks inside, as well as a Red Box (I think that's what it's called....when you can rent a movie for $1 per day). The only reason this Teeter doesn't get 5 stars is b/c I've been there after 5pm on two occasions this week and there is a VERY limited sushi assortment. I'm used to VA beach/Norfolk where the sushi guy is there until 8pm or so and will take orders! Other than that, it's a great store!

Yelp
This is the BEST market ever. There are so many selections of different types of produce. And it is all extremely fresh. We picked up some veggies, and fresh clams. They were awesome. The people working the counter were very helpful and knowledgeable about the products they had as well. The other cool thing is at check out there groceries are on a revolving turn table so things don't get crushed once they are rung up by the cashier.
