If I want pickles on my 3-way, please put pickles on my 3-way. Don't tell me you can't do it while I am staring at a glass jar of pickles.
I've had the best of the best, Nicks (Beverly), Bill and Bobs (Salem), Kelly's (multiple), Liberty Bell (Stoneham), Courtyard (Newburyport)......they ALL make your big beef the way YOU want it.
"We don't put pickles on roast beef" What? You have pickles right? You have roast beef sandwiches right? What is the problem?
Niki's on the other side of town may not have the history of Harrison's, but at least they make food the way you want it.
Harrison's is surviving on the fact they have been around forever anyway. Beef is overcooked. They skimp on meat. Crinkle-cut fries while "nostalgic" give them an added opportunity to carry cheap bagged frozen potatoes while charging you 100 times more than they actually cost.
If you go to Harrison's for the crinkle cut fries, you're better off served picking up a bag of store brand crinkle cuts and frying them with a little vegetable oil in a pan. You can make a comparable beef with a pound of Market Basket brand shaved shaved beef (slightly warmed), a store brand toasted hamburger bun, some James River BBQ sauce (Butcher Boy carries it), and a dollop of Sysco (commercial food source provider) brand mayo. Essentially, that's what all Roast Beefs are anyways. Beef may even be better from Market Basket *gasp* *double gasp*.
Dirty, dingy, rude, dirty, outdated, unfriendly, dirty.....did I mention its dirty?
I rarely even order pickle on a 3-way, on that day, I felt like it. Next time, just put the pickle on my sandwich.
BTW. A simple wipe of your surfaces and maybe a replacement of the dingy, dirty, bacteria and grunge infested commercial carpet wouldn't hurt would it?
