Harry's

"This luxury brasserie is as cosmopolitan as it is vibrant. French flair characterises both the ambience and the cuisine. On the menu, international flavours and vegetarian options show that the chefs are keeping up with the times, but not at the expense of the golden rules of superior brasserie cuisine. The kitchen garden is a manifestation of their sustainable approach (more details on the website). Creative, local, seasonal: Harry's ticks all the boxes!" - Michelin Inspector

disssgustingggg is an understatement for this restraunt. we went with high hopes but left disgusted! food was tragic. taste was off. salad looked as if my nephew was doing an experiment with everything that was left in the pantry. just when we thought that it couldnt get any worse, we got served raw chicken that was clearly pink and undercooked. we addressed the matter immediately, and expected apologies and the matter to be taken seriously. however to our suprise, the waiter who appeared to be a male, had excused this tragedy, claiming that "the chicken is slow cooked", leaving us absolutely stunned with his alarming level of confidence . to the best of our knowledge, we know that properly slowcooked chicken should be fully cooked through, tender and safe to eat! we immediately told the waiter that the state the chicken came in was a "serious health threat" - the last thing we would want on a holiday is salmonella. and he said he'd tell the chef. after coming back again, he once again excused and insisted on this nonsense statement, saying its how its supposed to be due to the cooking method. raw chicken is never how "its supposed to be"

Had a very nice lunch here, I took the 4 menu courses. Unfortunately it was not arranged with starter-main-dessert style, but more like pick any dishes you want, but the dishes are really good, super tasty and strong flavour. The cocktails also very nice. However got a mixed feeling when the wifi is not working at all in where I was seated, I was having LDR anniversary, luckily I had hotspot, we were struggling a bit, but nevertheless the experience and the lunch overall are perfect. The staff are kinda kind, but they are professional 🙌🏻 I got a special dessert cake for my anniversary, and I really appreciate that. Thanks!

Friends read reviews and all were good . We were warmly greeted and shown to our table with an open kitchen view , impressive. Food was amazing from sardines to pork belly with okiyamiaki to squab , all plated superbly , another highlight was our waiter , the delightful Pieter , very knowledgeable and such a friendly personality !!

We had the pleasure of dining there during our short visit in the city. The dining area is really cozy while the service was really on point. We selected a couple of starters and the suggested cut. Everything nicely presented and the variation of flavors, spot on! Good job!

Had cocktails before going for dinner. They were really refreshing and different. Beautiful ambiance with soft light and music. We really enjoyed it and will be back to have dinner sometime.

Lovely place for delicious food, perfect accompanying drinks and great service (great job, Vanessa!). We came for dinner and stayed much longer than planned as we felt highly welcome and taken good care of. Wine recommendation perfectly matched our choice of food.

Really loved the whole experience at Harry’s. From the impressive wine selection to the well crafted menu, I thoroughly enjoyed every part of it. The oysters are a must , I tried both the Normandy and the Gillardeau! Had the chefs lunch menu and I must say the celeriac took me by surprise and the oxtail dish felt like a warm hug on a Dutch rainy day :)

Yelp
A pretty amazing place! We came to Maastricht for the annual City Polo games. A friend had found this restaurant he wanted to try so I joined him while not knowing what to expect At first glance this place gives the impression of an up-tight and boring restaurant. The staff however is very laid back but not without losing their professional service. Then there is the food: that's just amazing. The lobster was perfectly cooked and not dry (as I find often is the case). The meat was very tender and definitely worth the trip. It's not a cheap place but if it's quality food (and wine!) you're looking for, this is the place to be in Maastricht!

Yelp
It is so rare to find sometimes great good when traveling ... especially when "tourist" type restaurants are so easy to find. We happened to walk in after a train ride from Liege, Belgium where we frequently stay to visit family. Just look at the photos and ambience to see for yourself. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
They have a very reasonable 3 course menu. Solid and nicely plated. But you get what you pay for, and this place left me wanting more. The risotto was dry and the tomato sauce over powered my fish. But they also garnished the fish with fresh young pea vines and Turkish sea grass. Yum. The cheese plate was also quite generous. Two varieties of French oysters on hand. I saw several families with toddlers or kids, and the servers seemed friendly towards them. The Sunday brunch menu looked awesome. Will have to go back for that...

Yelp
This is a very civilised dining experience without being pretentious. The attention to detail in the fit-out, service and menu is excellent. We ordered the antipasto assortment and then the big rib eye on the bone to share between two people and it was an amazing feast. Very well done, I will be back.

Yelp
I brought 3 business associates to harrys last night. It was an important meeting and I thought I had chosen a refined restaurant. Short summary: very good food, poorly trained waiters (when asked about the soup of the day they replied they didn't have any soups -- and one of my guests pointed out the soups on the menu...) and a poorly handled soup spill! when serving the soup the gentleman serving it spilled it onto my guest. it made a mess on the table, significant amounts on my guests shirt, etc. it was a careless mistake but instead of profusely apologizing, offering to have his shirt cleaned or at least paying for it to be cleaned, free drinks, reduction in charges on the bill (all of which I have encountered in other nice restaurants in such unfortunate situations) -- nothing happened except the server asking my colleague if he needed anything. I was embarassed and upset about the situation and figured they would eventually come over and apologize again and make some kind of offer to make ammends. that did not happen. Eventually Iasked the waiter who the manager was --- and to my surprise it was the gentleman who spilled the soup. I got up from our dinner discussion to talk to him near the check in desk. He was a polite listener but cavalier about the situation and didn't seem to think it was that big of a deal. His main point was that my guest was asked if he was OK and he said he was OK -- thus it was "done" in his mind. My guest is a gentleman and would not make a scene about this -- and the main point is that the restaurant bears the responsibility to make it right -- not an irate guest. Poor leadership and poor management sums up the story here and they need new management for Harry's. The hotel should take note. After my discussion they did offer free coffees, but what if I had not approached the manager about my frustrations? The point is that in a good restaurant I wouldn't have been required to do anything -- they would have immediately taken care of the situation. I will never go back to Harry's and recommend others to think twice.
