The large half portrush lobster is to die for!!!!!!!!!! We really wanted to get lobster during our stay for The Golf. I was lucky to snag one last lunch reservation at 2:45pm online. The best dining experience in Portrush. Great service. Seaside views. Amazing food and wine. The Camembert cheese was amazing. My friend ordered the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and it was very decadent. I only had a taste of it as I am not a sweets person but it was very good. So glad we got to have the lobster. It had some amazing savory lemon and Parmesan crumbing on top. Plenty to share. This was a wonderful dining experience!

I had been wanting to visit Harry's for a while given it's unique spot on the beach. I loved the feel of the place, made even more atmospheric since Storm Floris was passing through! We had a great window seat, lovely fried fish and a refreshing white wine. We'll definitely return.

Lovely staff and good food. I shared the pardon peppers, beef tacos and fish and chips. I would recommend the beef tacos very nice. The outside area is dog friendly, but you cannot sit inside.

Spent a fab day at Portstewart strand and a bite to eat in Harry’s shack, which was excellent. The crab claws to start was delicious and then Dover sole on the bone was just exceptional. The friendly and cheery staff made it very welcoming too. This beach shack is well worth a visit and a real gem. Orla Dublin

Went to the restraunt to looking something to eat. No staff came near us. Lifted a menu to see what was available then a staff member came over, asking how i got a menu, and said they were completely booked out for the day (restraunt half full) to be fair one of the chefs hadnt turned up. Cant comment on the food as we didnt get a chance to order any. Went for a coffee outside in another part of Harrys Shack, service didnt really improve (staked 2 tray bakes on top of an old carboard cup holder on the counter) and the coffee wasnt great either. Poor enough experience, I cant really recommend Harrys Shack. However its really the only place around here so hopefully your experience is better.

Yelp
Amazing location, food, warm & friendly atmosphere. We were there on a busy evening meal. I had the stuffed lobster (which was wonderful). Highly recommend Harry's Shack! Make reservations! Consider going early & walking on the beach!

Yelp
Pros: Great location on the beach Wonderful food and drinks - I especially enjoyed the mussels, which was flavorful and delicious The Shack seafood chowder was some of the best I've ever had globally! Not too creamy and with lots of flavor The bread and butter was a perfect pair Pro tip: Be sure to make a reservation, even in the winter as it gets busy!

Yelp
half lobster was amazing!! Would definitely go again, were out of oysters, hope to try them next time!

Yelp
One of the worst meals we've had while in Ireland. Ordered a beef burger, and when it arrived, the burger itself was a little lump sitting inside a huge bun. This was not a beef burger. Something else was added to the beef and it was hard as a rock. Even had trouble cutting the meat with a knife. The other item was supposed to be a brisket taco and it was more like a shredded pot roast. Pretty poor meal. We also were sitting outside on a chilly, rainy day waiting for the doors to open. The waiter never said that we could go inside and wait there. While we were waiting for the doors to open other people came in and sat down. Not a good experience at all.

Yelp
Amazing dinner last night! I ordered the Turnip & Cider Soup, Nicoise Salad, Toffee Bread Pudding and the Valrhona Chocolate Pot. Every flavour was perfectly balanced and complemented each other exquisitely. Very pleasantly surprised! The service was on par. And the view is gorgeous, being right on the beach.

Yelp
This is an amazing place that I have gone to so many times the fish is amazing along with the chips. And right next to the beach a great place in general I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants great seafood.

Yelp
Great beachside location; near the lovely northwest shore of Northern Ireland. Good service, excellent fish and pub like food and an outdoor bar area to sit while awaiting a table inside. Near the Victorian seaside town of Portstewart and next to many famous links golf courses. Not far from the Gaint's Causeway and on the way to Londonderry or Derry depending on what POV you have.

Yelp
I was told by my host that Harry's Shack has the best Fish and Chips in the area, and they must be right. Awesome! Their Mulroy Bay Mussels are right-out-of-the-water fresh. Even on a blustery day, the outside seating is worth it. As for dessert, both their Valrohna Chocolate Pot and Sticky Toffee were by far the best desserts we had in two weeks in the U.K.

Yelp
The service couldn't be faulted, the staff were so accommodating even though it was a busy Saturday night. We were seated by the window with a glorious view of the beach as the sun set. Its quite small and gets busy so it can become very warm in there. The food was amazing, served promptly and presented well. I had to waddle out the door I ate so much. I would prefer it if there was more than one vegetarian option, but it was done very well. The only fault I would have is the fact that there is one toilet to service what must be 40-50 covers per hour and on this night it was blocked, with no one seemingly prepared to fix it and it was pretty vile to experience. This place is wildly popular, you have to wonder why, do the other restaurants locally not offer the same?

Yelp
Most incredible meal I've had in Ireland. I guess they catch the fish locally. That's why I had the best fish and chips ever. Everything is fresh, service is spectacular, and the presentation of all the dishes is thoughtful and laid out nicely. I highly recommend this stopping in if you're in the Portstewart area.

Yelp
Great breakfast and espresso! Went on a cold day so we couldn't use the outdoor seating, but would be even better in the summer!

Yelp
Fish and Chips were delicious! Try Shacked- their house beer. Also recommend the chocolate pot. Friendly staff, excellent prices. Right on the beach.

Yelp
Harry's has a great atmosphere (right on the beach), with lots of tasty options. Some of the dishes are a little on the smaller side with portions, but the food is well prepared and the ingredients are clearly of high quality.

Yelp
First visit here last night and I can guarantee it won't be my last. Stunning setting on the edge of one of northern ireland's most beautiful beaches. We had a walk on the rather windy shore before dinner so appetites were keen in anticipation of a great meal and we weren't disappointed. On first impressions Harry's Shack is just that. An unimpressive wooden structure with a few tables outside. Inside however you are met with wonderfully fresh cooking aromas from the open kitchen area and there are windows on 2 sides overlooking the strand. We were seated beside a window with a wooden bench seat on one side (could do with a few cushions lads!) The stripped back interior style is just perfect though so I'm not going to focus on the lack of soft furnishings. The menu had about 5 or 6 options Including vegetarian and or gf. We opted for battered haddock and chips with mushy peas and an enormous stacked beefburger with tomato jam. Desserts were a chocolate pot and a creme caramelle which we virtually inhaled they tasted so good and there's a selection of coffees/tea on offer too Harry's isn't licenced yet and we were driving so just stuck with water but you can byo. Our bill for 3 was £45 and we were very well fed. The staff were friendly knowledgeable and efficient throughout our visit and the restaurant was buzzing with activity. It's a good idea to book (I used their handy online system) as I'd say tables in high season would be at a premium.

Yelp
Unpretentious yet special. Tasty food, stunning views, and friendly staff. As a vegetarian my choices were limited to just the one main but it did not disappoint

Yelp
After a full day of visiting the Causeway and Dunlace Castle we had fortunately made reservations for dinner at the popular Harry's Shack. A warm welcome was extended at the door and a choice of tables for my 3 adult children and I. The ambiance is not like a fish shack, but more fine, although still family friendly. Connor, a host was delighted to describe the various beers in the cooler near the door in prep for our order. We made jokes and felt very at home. The wait staff was willing to allow us to order a number of the foods for sharing. All of our plates were licked clean! [Matt's Mom]

Yelp
Sea-view restaurants often disappoint - they can get away with serving poorer food. Not Harry's Shack. Situated right on the end of beautiful Portstewart Strand, the food was as good as the view. The decor is pseudo-rustic. This is a purpose built shack - not the 'shack' of the New England coast. Would like to see more seafood choices on the menu next time, given the location.
