I am shocked at the decline of Harry and David and the Customer Service I ordered a gift set that included pears for my Brother and Sister In Law Attached are photos of this gift to my big brother and sister. I am devastated that this ended up ON their counter LEAKING SMELLY LIQUID out of the box! I held on the phone for close to an hour yesterday and the customer representative was less the polite-no feeling of empathy- no "I am sorry" He said the only thing could do was to send another one- Replace after this? I can't express the terrible smell this left in my brother's house and that they had to clean it up! Again- the agent was not in any way compassionate- i asked for my money back and then because if the rudeness alsonsaid wanted another type of gift to be sent and then he got even ruder. I asked for Supervisor - which at first he said no- then laid out it would be a LONG time - I Said I will wait. Supervisor came on line- also blunt and short with me and not listening - interrupting right and left .... Well, not sure what transpired and how it happened - but he "says", he did a $20 refund and resent the SAME thing (again think of the smell my brother and sister have in their memory!!!) ? Idk I just wanted my $$ back and a totally different item sent (one that would not offend them) - This has been a nightmare- Who would want the pears resent when They had to clean up the stinking mess off their counter ? LOOK AT PICTURES!!! They obviously were sent past their prime and maybe already rotten!!! I am not happy with the solution or treatment I received- i can't see anywhere where a $refund was given - even partial- Why - when they sent such a bad product, could a different item not be sent? The product was offensive. Memories of grandma sending boxes of grapefruit every year now are replaced by this nightmare- very saddened

Update: I did get my refund back to my CC for the wrong order. Then on Christmas Eve my sister did get her Peppermint bark delivered to her house with no extra charge to my credit card. I am updating my stars from a 1 to 2 as I still would not order from this company again. Original Review: This was my first time ordering from them. I ordered 2 different gifts. I will say they both were received when promised. Here is where it went wrong. My sister messaged me thanking me for the Cinninion Cakes. I was confused as what she might be taking about so she sent me a picture! Well it sure was not the Peppermint Bark tray I ordered. Now, even the Cinninion cakes looked nothing what was shown online. So, I called last night on 12/20….. you guessed it over a 2 hour wait….with no one answering . So I tried the chat all night and no one would pick up. Do you know how frustrating that is? When sending a gift basket or a surprise to someone you really do want what you picked out!! So now that is ruined. Plus it was $52 dollars for that basket. I did chat this morning with customer service via computer and she wanted to send out the right item, but would not be arriving until 12/26! Forget as Christmas is over. I asked for a refund and she said she processed it! We’ll see because if I do not get it within that 10 days I am disputing the charges. Now, the other basket that we gifted, who knows what they got because they thanked us but never mentioned what it was. Bottom line, will never fall for your fancy catalog coming to my house again because I know the little regard you take in your company. Funny enough we received a package from there today from family and the fruit was rotten!!!

This company sucks! They sent a product I would not feed to my dog then hid behind the hold feature on the phone - all the while begging and upselling their other subpar products. Really - do you think this is an acceptable gift?

I ordered a Valentines basket. It was the second most expensive one the first basket they sent out look nothing like the picture and was missing many items. The basket itself was also not the right dimensions. Harry and David are partnered with simply chocolate. I was unaware of this until it was too late. I contacted Harry and David. They told me to contact simply chocolate so I did they sent out a replacement order and when I receive that order, it looked a little better like the picture, but the size of the basket was completely off once again like two steps down from what I paid. It was also missing items from the first basket that was sent in the second order, which was the replacement order. The quantities of the items were off so now I’m in dispute with getting a full refund.

Zero Stars!!!! This company sent me the wrong product that was meant as a Valentines gift. On top of which was damaged and open. When I called to get a refund, I was directed to an answer service in India. The gentlemen took 25mins to even access my order just to tell me he had “limited access” and needed to transfer me to a “specialist”. The entire time he kept crunching a chip bag next to the mic making it almost impossible to communicate. When I asked him about it, he started making it worse. Don’t Ever Ever order from Harry & David or any of their companies. FYI. These cookies were suppose to be in a nice gift tin.

Terrible Experience I ordered a $160 gift basket with a few pears, some truffles, and a card, expecting it to arrive on the specific date I selected during checkout. The website still displayed the delivery date, so I assumed everything was fine. However, after it didn’t arrive, I spent over 30-40 minutes in a frustrating chat—first with a bot, then with a supposed live person—only to find out my order was on hold because they couldn’t meet the requested date. No one ever contacted me to inform me of this. I also tried calling their customer service line but gave up after waiting almost 15 minutes without getting through to anyone. Their solution? They could ship part of the gift in a few days and the rest weeks later. Weeks! For a $150 gift basket, this is completely unacceptable. Poor communication, no proactive updates, and extremely slow, unhelpful support make me question why anyone would shop here. At this price point, you’d expect far better customer service.

I will never use this company again. I ordered a Christmas basket and when it wasn’t delivered I contacted them. They had cancelled my order, no notification, no change to my order status on the website. So Christmas Eve I find out that my family is not receiving their gift. They couldn’t tell me why it was cancelled because evidently there was no documentation of why it was cancelled. The money was taken from my account so it was definitely paid for.

I remember when I was younger Harry and David was the best. Not so much today. Items were shipped separately and the meats and cheese basket never arrived prior to Christmas as promised. Good luck with customer service as it seems it has been offshored with language barriers. I requested them to reship the basket but only after the recipient returned from a 10 day cruise between Dec. 30 and Jan 10. Customer service agreed to a Jan. 16 delivery. The recipient returned home on Jan 10 to find the basket on their Florida porch. Without knowing how long it sat, the recipient was worried about food safety and had to throw it out. This is not the old Harry and David that I knew growing up. Don’t waste your money like I did. I paid $150 to deal with poor customer service and empty promises.
