"Here, the sandwiches are as heavenly as the bagels, smoked fish, and latkes. You can get your orders to go or linger and people watch."

Great place on St John’s Wood High Street. Delicious food, everything I have tried has tasted amazing. My partner had the chicken soup... Probably the best I have ever tasted and amazingly good value. Lively American diner style place, so not exactly date night, but lots of fun. Will definitely be back again and again.

So pleased with my visit at Harry Morgan... Everything I’ve ordered tasted so delicious. Comfort food, lovely atmosphere, great portions in every dishes. I don’t use to have a dessert after my meals, but I had to give it a go, cause everything just look so tasty and definitely was my best decision! I’ll be back for sure!

The quality of the food is good, but the prices are too high for the overall experience in the restaurant.

Google
Rubbish service!!!! Been sitting here for more than half an hour, took 10 minutes before the staff acknowledged me and took my order and 20 minutes later. I still ain’t got the tuna salad I ordered!! So hungry and disappointed - what a waste of £6.95, lunch break and time I ain’t gonna get back Update - it’s a sandwich looool so I waited 20minutes for a sandwich I could’ve bought the ingredients in tescos and made in office.

Had the salt beef bagel to takeaway (during lockdown). A tasty old favourite 😋👍🏼

Google
Very nice place, fulfilling. The portions can be a bit bigger than usual, but very tasty. Soups really recommended, always have them. Pancakes are the best in the area. Service can be a bit slow or moody, but the cost and quality covers that.

Yelp
Best of luck to you . Your food is very interesting and not usually something I would normally eat.

Yelp
Great place for decent matzo ball soup or latkes. Bagels are great too - but suggest to eat them right away, as we all know how a toasted schmear bagel in a bag for half an our turns out Def coming back!

Yelp
This was the worst food I've ever had in London... and that's saying a lot. We stopped in for breakfast because we didn't want anything fancy. (I wish we would've checked the reviews first.) The omelets were rubbery brown messes. The bread was filled with caraway (?) seeds and stale. The vienna sausages were dreadful. The pancakes were sort of edible. The chips were frozen and bland. The service was almost non existent. The only redeeming aspect of this situation was how hard we laughed. Comedic value of this meal was high. We couldn't even believe the experience. Oh. Did I mention there were so many screaming children? Lots of shrieking. Skip this. There are way too many options to subject yourself to such disgusting fare, lackluster service, and chaotic environment.

Yelp
Terrible service. We were there mid morning and there were only 2 other tables. The server kept forgetting about us, couldn't understand half of what we said and at the end of the meal i had to chase him down for our check AND our change. The meal was also a disappointment. £4.50 for 2 poached eggs that tasted like vinegar and ONE piece of toast that was cold and hard. How a place can get away with charging that much for 2 eggs and a single piece of crunchy toast is beyond me. We should have gone to pret.

Yelp
I ordered the mixed noodle and matzo ball chicken soup on Deliveroo and it was delicious. Perfect thing when you are fighting a cold. I added some pepper and chili flakes for a little more flavour, which I didn't mind. Huge chunks of chicken and the carrots weren't mushy. Matzo balls are so tasty!

Yelp
Definitely the worst meal I've ever had in London. Bland, flavorless and poorly prepared. The fries were frozen, the omelet had a layer of egg skin and the bread was like cardboard. Please avoid this place if you're interested in actually enjoying your food. Oh, and also.... there are screaming children EVERYWHERE!!!!!! It was pure chaos and he service was really strange, the waiter couldn't understand what we were saying and honestly seemed annoyed that we even asked for butter to try and flavor the cardboard bread. It was really bizarre!

Yelp
Food here is fine, but this was by far the worst service I have ever received in a restaurant ever in y life. Waited about twenty minutes to get dessert and then waited -get this... A WHOLE HOUR for our bill, which was given to me after I decided it was more than justified to walk out. Upon getting up to leave I was given a bill. I wish I hadn't paid it, as they wasted my whole evening at that point.

Yelp
The food here was great! My wife and I had a cheeseburger which was juicy and savory. However the customer service was poor! The host at first did not want to seat us, apparently the restaurant was reserved? As we were walking out they called us back (we only went back because we were hungry and it was raining). Our server forgot my drink and gave me a little attitude when I requested my drink and charged me twice. I am happy with the food but not satisfied with the service provide.

Yelp
A comfort food meal in Saint John's Wood - chicken noodle soup, macaroni and cheese and a pastrami sandwich. The pastrami was freshly cut and the sandwich was grilled perfectly - not a greasy mess often had in diners. The broth of the soup looked so pale that I wasn't expecting much but it was nicely flavored and had good chunks of roast chicken. The macaroni and cheese was made with a robust sharp cheddar. I had a Victorian Lemonade which was bottled but quite good - old fashioned made with bubbly water. Overall a good, reasonably priced lunch.

Yelp
I ate here a few weeks back and wanted to post a review so here goes; I'm not Jewish, but like some cross-dressers, I'm pretty convincing...I know good chicken soup when it's served..which it ain't here!... Thinnest soup I've ever had, and the taste so subtle I can only imagine they boiled the shadow of the chicken for taste. Salt beef didn't get any points either...as tough as boots from an Everest climber. Oy Vay......god help us.. Shame it was once a chic place to go...now it's just a chic to go past ...

Yelp
Although Harry Morgan's has a very versatile menu with some truly delicious items on it, I will always think of place for two things... The chicken soup and one of the very best salt beef sandwiches that I have ever treated my mouth to! Both of these items really are incredible, so much so that I can barely ever order anything else. Inside of Harry Morgan's you will be treated to clean, cafeteria style dining. Nothing truly special, but good enough. The staff here are all friendly and helpful too. So then, why not a higher rating? Well, they would have a five star rating based purely on the food quality, but this place is so God-damn expensive! The salt beef sandwich really is delicious, but when they are charging three times as much as you can get this same thing in Brick Lane, you know you are being hinged over, even if you are in St Johns Wood!!!

Yelp
This restaurant started many years ago as a tiny take away deli, and now it has become a full service restaurant that has establishments in Harrods! Not bad at all, so it all started very simple and the good food has made them become a staple and perhaps the most famous New York style Deli in London! They have take away and delivery so you can count on good food in front of you even if you cant leave the office. Try the cheese cake its perfect and creamy and the crust is just heaven.

Yelp
New York style deli in London's upscale St. John's Woods neighborhood. I had the lunch special: bowl of soup w/ half sandwich. For the soup, being a warm day, I selected the cold borscht. For my half sandwich: egg and onion salad on rye. The latter was delicious, perhaps a bit too much mayo, but very fresh, chewy rye bread & a generous portion -- half a sandwich was just right. The soup, too, was generous in portion but bland to my tastes -- too many days in the fridge, and missing the zest of a freshly made, tangy borscht -- better fresher and with a new recipe? The wait staff was very attentive, though forgot my side order of an Israeli salad. If I had had room, the cheesecakes sounded delish. Would go back again, but probably not for the borscht!

Yelp
I popped in here for a quick lunch after looking at the menu and the atmosphere--both looked good. people were eating outside and tables were filled inside as well. People were walking in with reservations, of which I had none-so I took a spot at the counter. The service was good and my warm chicken salad was delicious. The salad dressing was very tasty. If you are a fan of middle eastern food, they have all of the specialties like liver and tongue...I on the other hand was more than happy with my warm chicken salad. My one complaint was that the waiter added 12.5% gratuity which I found annoying for my party of one.

Yelp
We were having a wander with a hangover last weekend and thought stopping here for brunch would be a great idea. We had 2 soft drinks, a breakfast and an eggs Benedict. We basically paid through the nose for luke warm, average food. The toast I had was cold when it came out, I told a member of staff, they replaced it with something that was only slightly warmer. AVOID AT ALL COSTS- absolute rip off

Yelp
Overstaffed and overpriced. We popped in for a salt beef sandwich only to discover that they charge 8 GBP per piece. We really wanted one and the regular Jewish deli did not have them today so we agreed to purchase. There were 5 members of staff behind the counter, they kept taking our order and forgetting to make it. We eventually got it and went home to eat. We ordered extra pickles and extra mustard, which we did not get, and the sadnwich itself was big but the beef was dry. Will not go there again.

Yelp
Great chicken soup and simple fare. It's very homey and great for a casual bite with friends (well, at least in North london). Especially cosy on Sunday for brunch. Oh, and if you get the chicken soup: go for the mixed one, which gives you a yummy mix of matzoh ball, noodles and kreplach (like a dumpling). A good cure for the winter chills.

Yelp
Food is horrible been there twice and should have never gone back the second time. I know better than to go into an empty restaurant especially on a Friday night. I gave it a single star only because the servers were very nice - rare in London.

Yelp
Harry Morgan is the absolute worst place you could go on the SJW high street. The service is absolutely awful. I had a server who was the most rude person. After, she over charged me for things I didn't order and fought with me when I told her I didn't order them. She also fought with me when she made my order wrong and I asked her to re make it. Never go to Harry Morgan. Anyways the only good thing there is the chicken noodle soup, so if you want that deliveroo it because just walking in to the restaurant will automatically make your day awful.

Yelp
It is a nice venue if you are just curious about 'Jewish food' the menu contains many classic dishes. The only problem is taste... Starters are okay but main dishes are really disappointing. If you were to try the venue, keep it sime , a few starters and sides with some motza crackers... It us not cheap and it is not that tasty..,

Yelp
Our entire experience was terrible. The place was too loud. The server gave us attitude for just ordering soup and beverages. The soup was bland. The coffee and tea didn't arrive until long after the soup and when we were about ready to leave. And everything was over priced. I really don't understand why the place was crowded. If I could give it less than one star, I would!

Yelp
OK How do I review out of the country? This place is in London not NYC. WOW! My wish came through and YELP is in LONDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The last time I had really tender tongue, well it's been awhile. Then I went to Harry's and remembered my favorite delights of growing up in NYC. Jewish food! Moist tongue and salt beef served with horseradish and mustard is a must do for anyone really into meat. Sure you can have your soft melty prime rib but tongue holds up better and and has a creamy texture that the other parts of the cow just don't have. With a side dish of ok latkes and my favorite pink food tarmasalata with warm pita bread dinner was a trigger for my childhood memories. Growing up with Carnegie Deli and Wolf's left me missing the big apple not hungry for Harry. I ended the meatness with an english dessert called a banoffee which had a layer of banana, toffee and cream. Please someone make this for me one day. PLEASE!

Yelp
Harry Morgan is my go-to place for "Jew food." Though the deli is frequented by students from ASL (avoid during lunch because they will push you out of the way so they can get their chicken noodle soup with a soda on the side (?)), the staff is good at keeping up with the crush and it's always delicious. When I want a big lunch, I go for the shnitzel sandwich. I'm not huge on mayo etc, so the bread is a little dry, but the shnitzel is delicious. A bit oilier than the shnitzel you'd get in Austria, it's satisfying after a long morning. When the weather's cold and life is getting you down, the chicken noodle soup is always a must. I have friends who get the dumplings and matzos balls in their soup, as well. Not a huge dumpling fan, though, and I prefer my mom's matzos balls, honestly. One huge plus about this place is the selection of imported sodas. They have root beer, cream soda, grape soda and more. It's expensive, but totally worth it.

Yelp
I popped in here at about 9 pm on a Sunday. They were still open. Yay. The service was great, but there were no other customers inside. The menu wasn't too impressive, but they had chicken livers, which I always enjoy. They let me swap out the mashed potatoes for vegetables, and I got my monthly dose of greens. Peas, wilted spinach, green beans. Solid meal.

Yelp
Excellent meze. Great choice of traditional Jewish stuff.
