Harry Morgan is my go-to place for "Jew food." Though the deli is frequented by students from ASL (avoid during lunch because they will push you out of the way so they can get their chicken noodle soup with a soda on the side (?)), the staff is good at keeping up with the crush and it's always delicious.
When I want a big lunch, I go for the shnitzel sandwich. I'm not huge on mayo etc, so the bread is a little dry, but the shnitzel is delicious. A bit oilier than the shnitzel you'd get in Austria, it's satisfying after a long morning.
When the weather's cold and life is getting you down, the chicken noodle soup is always a must. I have friends who get the dumplings and matzos balls in their soup, as well. Not a huge dumpling fan, though, and I prefer my mom's matzos balls, honestly.
One huge plus about this place is the selection of imported sodas. They have root beer, cream soda, grape soda and more. It's expensive, but totally worth it.
