Harry’s All American Breakfast Restaurant in Boston

Turned in to a regular here. Food is always great, especially the Benedicts and Chicken and Waffles. Fresh OJ and espresso are awesome. Can get busy, for a good reason. The staff here works really hard and it's apparent. You won't be disappointed!

Good here is amazing! Went here for takeout. Looking forward to dining inside next time.

Overall great experience here. Clean, chill atmosphere. The service is very good. Food is great, not greasy. I had the Waffles with Fruit, the bananas and apples with cinnamon was perfect. Not overly sweet. Other dishes that the rest of the group had were Avocado Eggs Benedict, The chicken waffles and Açaí smoothie, and Corned Beef Hash omelet. All were fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This is such a nice breakfast spot right on the main road! I always come here after my doctor appointments at Faulkner Hospital. The young staff are very attentive and pleasant, and the service is quick! The atmosphere is easy going and quiet.

Good food. A bit too close to the next table. Service was ok. Corned beef hash is from a can. Parking sucks.

Ordered a steak omlete and it was very delicious and very filling. The chocolate shake and coffee is also very good

Great chefs working in the kitchen! I was so happy with my experience and the dishes prepared for me and my co-worker. I just wished I was listened to over the phone after confirming my order multiple times with the hostess over the phone. I specifically asked for a FULL plate of chicken and waffles and received a half portion. It wasn't until I made it back to work that I discovered this mistake. For the pricing of $30 and confirming the order repeatedly , to still receive something different was disappointing after travel time to get to the restaurant.

I ordered "to go" and was very happy with my order. The hash browns were crispy and tasty. My corned beef omelet was seasoned and full like a burrito; I am completely satisfied.

Never had a bad experience at Harry's. You walk in and sit at any open table. Once you learn this you're off to a great start. The ordering system goes as such: you scan the QR Code at the table and it leads you to an easy to read menu. Food has always been consistently made so if you find a favorite dish, chances are it will always be made the same way when you crave it. Some popular items are the eggs Benedict w home fries. We just love the home fries! Another great dish is the steak bomb panini with peppers and onions. You can build your own omelette or order up a nice combo. One of my sons orders pancakes but I don't find them to look appealing as few have stated but he likes them. One major issue I have with this place is that if you have a party of 4 and the bill goes to $75+, they automatically put the tip in your bill at a high percentage. I told them that it is not a good practice and they screw themselves if I want to give more. It just doesn't make sense to me. It will not stop me from visiting but something to keep in mind. As far as interior space, I've never seen lines where you had to wait to be seated. They have quite a few options. It's pretty clean for the most part. Could probably use an update but it's homey. It's one of our favorite brunch spots.

What could improve you ask? Have items that are popular in stock such as french fries and hamburger - both have been out of stock when I went there. Bring back Coca-Cola products like they used to have instead of Pepsi. Pre-pandemic and prior owners I often a interest restaurant three times a week. Post pandemic I no longer go there after being there a few times. Prices are high compared to other similar nearby restaurants. Why go to a restaurant when they don't have what you want to order?

Dunno how I haven't visited this spot yet, but it's definitely quite the lovely lil local diner. Seeing as I got off a long graveyard shift, I definitely felt the need for some good breakfast foods and stumbled upon this place with some of my guys. And with friendly staff and good portions, who wouldn't enjoy a place like this? (Plus, there's ample free parking if you count the side streets). Anyway, aside from the bottomless coffee for those who dine in, this place has got a good selection of bennys and omelets. Sure, it may be typical breakfast fare, but it's quite lovely how everything comes out quite quickly and how fresh everything tasted. I'd definitely come back for more!

Cozy little place for a nice tasty breakfast, sometimes they can move a little slow or mix up your order,but they will pleasantly fix it. I haven't tried something I didn't like there yet.

Nice little local diner, cuter than I'd expected. Good variety and unique options on the menu, easy online ordering, friendly staff. Their food isn't going to rock your world, but it hits the spot: solid lunch and breakfast here.

We used to eat here alot years ago. Tried it this morning, prices have sky rocketed! Hubby had a Steak+ cheese Breakfast Croissant sandwich w/ coffee , he loved it. I had sausage , egg , toast w/ home fries, all lukewarm. Coffee+ service were both good!

Good all American breakfast! Got the Irish eggs Benedict with corn beef hash instead of Canadian bacon. Love the home made home fries. They do have gluten free bread if you want a sandwich. I get the eggs Benedict each time so it's hard to review the other dishes. Order the eggs soft if you like them runny.

The food was delicious. I had the cinnamon raisin French toast and a glass of orange juice. Very delicious, but I must have to say the staff was a little strange. They were nice, but they were a little strange. Probably won't sit down and eat again, but would definitely do a takeout. The restaurant was very clean .

The food was delicious! I ordered to go - all the sandwiches come with a choice of drink which is 10/10. This coffee is delicious and i'm a harsh coffee critic - just asked for some cream and sugar and it's perfect. Also this whole thing was 8$ before tip .... in this economy thank you very much

If you're an Eggs Benedict connoisseur then this is your spot! The server even asks whether you want your egg soft, medium, or hard poached for your Benedict. They have both home fries and hash browns - the hash browns are great and crunchy. Their freshly squeezed OJ is a must, served in a mason jar. A++ service and the place is super clean, well-lit, and very well-run. I highly recommend this, which is our new go-to breakfast spot!

Life is short , F....it up! Family, Flavor, Friends A small neighborhood diner street parking very clean establishment and friendly staff. Today we got the Irish eggs Benedict. Presentation was simple and clean. The egg cooked just right w the yolk flowing w flavor. However I had high hopes from reading the reviews and it was recommended by staff since it was my 1st there. The English muffin could have been a little most grilled or toasted w butter. The corn beef hash really needed to be cooked more w some crisp. The hollandaise sauce Was just there it looked inviting but after the first bite .. If u have been following my post u know I'm looking for that ..... pause and sigh moment. This wasn't it. I finished the meal hoping. I ordered has browns u didn't see it in the pic . It came later as they mixed it up a home fries. It's not always bout being quick to get the meal out.

Stopped by Harry's for a late breakfast/early lunch. Ordered the turkey club on pumpernickel with coleslaw. Sandwich was excellent, likely as good as you will find anywhere. Cole slaw was equally good, although cut with long cabbage strands, which were a bit clumsy. Set at a street corner, parking seems to be on street only, of which there was plenty. The inside is pleasant, clean and stylish. Wait staff was friendly and pleasant. Will I return? Absolutely, although I do not find myself in Roslindale very often

My husband and I have been to Harry's a few times so this was not our first experience, but this will be the last. Service was very poor. We were served coffee which we asked for but the waitress disappeared and never came back till 20 minutes later to take our order. people who came after us were being served. At that point we decided to leave and we paid for our coffee which was unfinished. Terrible, terrible service if I could rate you negative 3 I would. Server could have offered us the coffee for free. Please do better What a way to ruin a Mother's Day breakfast.

We just had lunch at Harry's and the food was good and affordable. My meal was their delicious chicken salad wheat wrap crammed with cranberries and walnuts. My side option was their creamy potato salad. The atmosphere was casual. The waiter was friendly and the staff came over several times to make sure we were enjoying our meals.

Great atmosphere and quick service. The food is delicious. My favorite Sunday brunch - Parkung space available!

I have been going to Harry's for breakfast for of 12 years just had breakfast there first time in over a year service is poor you ask for more coffee and some ketchup to three different people they all said I get it for you nothing I had to ask for a glass of water from the counter final I know it's busy but they treat keep saying yes to you also another table asked for syrup if your servings pancakes to some and you don't bring syrup that a BiG RED FLAG no think of the customer just the job at this time also they ask if I want a coffee refill after I just finished breakfast considering going somewhere else for breakfast Harry's is around the corner from my house

Food was good, nothing extraordinary, and our server was pleasant and efficient. Food portions were much less than generous. However, it took nearly 15 minutes to be seated, and there were plenty of empty tables. There was a party in front of us who also weren't even acknowledged. Very poor first impression. They definitely need a host or someone whose job it is to greet customers and seat them, at least during busy times on weekend mornings. They need a better manager!

When we arrived, we were greeted and noticed several open & clean tables. Waited for 10 minutes to be seated until we were told to seat ourselves. Noticed a waitress rubbing her nose piercing with watery eyes and immediately going to her tables. Pancakes arrived without syrup, no cream cheese for bagels, etc. We were not checked in on or presented with an opportunity that we could have voiced our issues. The manager was very passive and rude when we were finally able to speak to them. This entire establishment needs a crash course in customer service and cleanliness.

8/16/2024 was my 1st visit to Harry's, I've been wanting to try Harry's for some time now. It was my 1st and last visit. The biggest issue was the MOUSE running around the dining area. Staff caught it in front of guest and Only offered an apology. The food also was Not good/fresh. The home fries tasted as if the were old and re-warmed. My pancakes were flat, tough and hard to cut not fluff at all. The meal upset my stomach for the rest of the day. Very very disappointing and concerning experience with the Mouse!

Best breakfast. Love the menu. Love the service. We have been coming here for years and telling our friends about Harry's. Never been disappointed.

Harry's gets: 5 stars for friendly, attentive, competent wait staff. 4 stars for being light-filled, clean and comfortable. 5 stars for being one of a paucity of restaurants offering a low-carbohydrate option (grilled vegetables) to substitute for hash browns or French fries. 2 stars for not actually grilling the grilled veggies, instead, apparently, steaming them to strip them of flavor and joy, sending happiness up to the heavens and leaving patrons to drink their own tears. 2 stars for what appears to be a strange aversion to fat, which leads to flavorless omelets stuffed with flavorless fillings. They're like the ghosts of omelets. Thus, mathematically, Harry's is a solid 3.5 stars. The food will take up space in your stomach, but it will not fill you with fond memories. You will not yearn to return. You will not tell your grandchildren how much you loved dining there. Harry's, i am holding your 1.5 stars until the day you purchase, and cook with, in generous amounts, butter.

First time at this spot we found using our google maps app. We traveled from the Hyde Park Commuter Rail Station and found this little gem. Breakfast is served all day from 7am -2pm Mon-Sat till 4pm on Sundays. Nice looking spot with plenty of seating for couples and a community table for groups. The menu is great with breakfast and lunch specials, nothing over $10. The wait staff struggled with getting the orders correct, not just ours but folks around us were missing items and getting things mixed up. Oh boy but when the food came it was spot on! A serious gem

Harry's is a terrific neighborhood diner. We enjoy going there for either breakfast or lunch.

In search of a good breakfast place, saw good reviews so decided to stop in on Sunday. Looked from outside and there where plenty of empty tables so we walked in. Stood at the door and waited, and waited and waited. A waitress walked by us 3 times and looked the other way completely avoided eye contact. The waiter walked by 4 times and just didn't even look up. Again there were plenty of empty tables so we walked up to the counter to ask if we just seat ourselves and the waiter said "no! you gotta wait to be seated" so we go back to the door. Several more minutes pass and nothing. We left and went to small diner in West Roxbury to be treaded like customers should be treated. Worst customer service I've seen in a long time I could understand if they were busy which they were not for a Sunday morning, but regardless you at very least say we'll be right with you not avoid eye contact...that's just basic customer service 101. Not a place I would spend my hard earned $

I ordered a steak omelette where is hash brown they give me a damn McDonald's size hash brown, and a bacon cheese omelette with eggs was so freaking little and very nice size for a toddler type meal I'll never go there again. Spent almost $25 on that junk.

I am appalled! I've ordered here many times and everything has been fine. I will not order from here ever again. With delivery and tip I paid $35. I ordered for my son- egg, bacon, hash browns and toast meal and asked for an extra egg for $1.00. Look at this picture. Not only is it not 2 eggs, it's barely one egg! My meal is called 2's company which is 2 French toast, 2 bacon, 2 sausage. Look at this picture. One sausage and one bacon and the eggs look like egg whites. I called the restaurant to complain and since I got it through Grubhub I have to desperately find a way to get my money back. Ridiculous. And crazy my order has the receipt right on the box and they literally didn't fill the order right. Someone must be in a bad mood over there today or something.

Harry's is delicious! Everything my husband and I have had there we have loved. We've eaten breakfast and lunch and enjoyed both of them. For breakfast, their pancakes are not to be missed. SO yummy. For lunch my husband loves their Reuben in marble rye. He orders a Reuben pretty much whenever it's on a menu. He said the one at Harry's is one of the best he's ever had. I love their chicken walnut and cranberry salad sandwich. Tons of flavor. The service is great, and the place is spotless. We highly recommend checking out Harry's for breakfast or lunch.

Delayed my order by 30 minutes. I card 8 times, only got a person to answer twice. Both times I was hung up on when asking the status of my order. Could hear homophobic slurs in the background. Food was ice cold when received. Horrible Portions. Worst restaurant in Boston.

Solid place for breakfast food. Got takeout from here and it was super easy and food was exactly as ordered. Serving sizes were generous as well

Very solid local breakfast diner. VERY slow to get us seated (many tables were available). Once seated the service was friendly and very attentive. Omelets we're large and home fries crispy. Patty Melt was excellent. Outdoor tables were very nice, but not quite pleasant given the location. Overall, we lover our local breakfast joint.

I just received my order from Harry's All American. I ordered sausage Benedict. It was awful! The eggs were extremely over cooked, the Hollandaise sauce was obviously from a package and tasted off, and the English muffins were not toasted. In all, it was inedible...well not totally, the dog ate it. Several days ago I ordered a Mexican omelette from Harry's and was served a Denver omelette with two pieces of jalapeño. I have observed that recently the quality of the product served at Harry's is rapidly becoming worse. In a city like Boston that offers so many restaurant options a person does not have to accept bad food quality. There are too many other places to choose from. I hope that this is only a bump in the road for Harry's but I will not be returning to find out.

It didn't bode well that the cook was loudly venting on & on, to one of the waitstaff about how the other girl never shows up on time. Not sure what that accomplished except annoying the patrons. My breakfast burrito tasted fine, but was served with a "salsa" that looked like ketchup. My wife's eggs Benedict was long over cooked eggs, bordering on hard boiled, on untoasted English muffins. It's too bad; my wife's friend recommended it; she either has forgiving standards or maybe she's not a friend?

This is my 2nd time here a local breakfast spot. Breakfast was excellent me & my mother. I got the 3 eggs any style with bacon, sausage and home fries, grilled English muffin and a side of corn beef hash. I asked for a hash brown instead but they messed up my order and gave me the home fries instead. The food runner brought our food and I told him I asked for a hash browns, he said I will bring that out sorry, but never got it and our server was MIA never checked on us and asked is everything alright or good, sometime later she finally came by I told her about it, she said she would take it off the bill. The bacon was perfectly cooked and the corn beef was so good, I tried the home fries was excitedly surprised they where delicious and seasoned just right I ate all of them! So it was a good mistake because I enjoyed every last one! The sausage was very good and eggs where as requested over easy. The English muffin was so good grilled. Found a new great spot for breakfast check it out! Thank you for the reply back can't wait to have breakfast again here soon!

Great food. Great prices. Decent service. Nice lil spot to get breakfast. Good community vibes in this place. I got the sausage egg Benedict soft and it was great! All my friends enjoyed there meal awesome spot! Definitely recommend this place if your looking for a good breakfast. Menu not large so check it out before arriving just incase they don't have anything you like.

I have been a regular here for a decade but it recently changed ownership. I was really rooting for the new owners and staff but I am sad to report that after four visits, each one has been terrible. Harry's, this message is directly for you. Your staff has been unfriendly every time I've called to order food for pick up. This last time, I actually heard the person growl in frustration before they hung up the phone. Literally all I did was order an omelette for pick up. Service at the counter has been even more unfriendly. Everybody looks harried, like they can't handle the workload and like they don't want to be there. The food is possibly worse. The omelettes are smaller. Today my grilled English muffin was stale and barely grilled. Both the English and the hash brown tasted skunked, like freezer burn. I had to ask three times for my side of hot sauce. Two other times the order was wrong. Waiting for my omelette to be prepared, which took longer than you said it would by about 10 minutes, I watched a server mix four different coffee pots, mixing regular and decaf, into one pot right in front of me. Lastly, the to go bags are these giant paper shopping bags that are wasteful, way too big and ultimately inconvenient. I don't want to have this relationship to your restaurant, I have been a supporter for such a long time. This is a courtesy I'm offering you. You're ruining yourself.

First - the tables are small. They can't handle a party of more than 4 and even then you knock knees with the person across from you. Second - the food is bland. Had the Benedict and home fries. Really no seasoning to speak of. The hollandaise had no lemon flavor - a mix from the store is better. The home fries are just potatoes not even some paprika. I mean the gastro ward has more seasoning on their food. Third - the service is focused on take out. Had three different servers. Just not a good place. Go to Rox, 50's or anywhere else.

Exceptional clean. Good food at reasonable prices. Service fast friendly. Nothing overly fancy but a good honest restaurant. We could use more places like this

When you walk in , it's kinda small but wasn't really packed when I went their. Their pancakes are bomb. Apple juice is also bomb. But their BACON! Is the best. Everything they make here is home cooked. I felt like everything I was eating was natural and healthy. It started to get pretty packed when I left. I would just come Really early. The plate I got was only $8.00! 4 Bacon, 2 egg and 2 pancakes for $8 was a good deal. I would definitely come again.

Harry's is enjoying a huge takeout business at the expense of its dine-in patrons. Breakfast comes very slowly and not hot. I hoped the first time this happened it was anomalous, but no luck. This is disappointing after ten years of excellent service.

I live just down the road and have been curious to try this place for some time since the line-ups on a daily basis were ridiculous...so it must be good, right? Went there around 11am after a run with my husband and to no surprise, ended up waiting for a table. Didn't take too long to get a seat, maybe 12 minutes? I ordered a simple sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant and hubby got the Reuben sandwich. We also ordered the coconut encrusted French toast. The food was absolutely delicious and the sauce on the Reuben sandwich was great. French toast was certainly scrumptious and we were delighted to be able to leave the place not disappointed. Service was good but would be great if the waitress smiled and have been more friendly but given how busy they were I understand if they were stressed out. Verdict: highly recommend but know that there are lines so be prepared to wait or come in earlier than expected.

Ordering over the phone can be quite annoying, we could barely hear each other and I feel like they may have misunderstood my order..... I was right. I unfortunately came to pick up an order that was incorrect and a whole bunch of staff staring at me confused. Very weird exchange honestly!

Who makes home fries without any kind of seasoning? Pancakes are tasteless and French Toast screams MARGARINE, not real butter. This place has okay days and absolutely terrible days. My advice? get a consistent chef that seasons potatoes and uses quality ingredients. Giving this place a break until then
