Harry’s Bar

Hands down, our favorite place on SPI! Harry is a true South Padre gem- make sure you go say hi to him. The regular patrons make this bar great - everything from high level businessmen in Saturday casual enjoying their weekend to "that one guy who knows all the best spots to fish and has the stories to prove it". I could have spent days here, just absorbing the atmosphere. Make sure you stop in for a round of pool and the "Good Christian Prices" on drinks but no "Foo Foo" drinks.

1st time going by far one of the best bars we have been too. Felt like home. Amazing service and we had the best Indian tacos (complementary of harris bar). Will definatley be back.

Harry’s bar is a must if you want to engage with some genuine people and have fun the old school way! No loud music no foo foo drinks just a wonderful owner/bartender Harry and great prices. Can’t wait to come back and enjoy a nice cold Miller Lite bottle with great conversation.

This is the bar you want if you are looking for genuine down to earth real people. This is what we found here. Harry is a great guy with great drink prices! He has a very clean bar and the cheapest drinks you will find around South Padre Island. Did I say they are mixed well? They are, but no foo foo drinks here!! We loved Harry’s Bar!

If you're going to drink drink, not tourist drink, go see Harry. A good honest bar.

When more than half of the florescent bulbs go out this will be a great dive bar. Weird smell (the popcorn?), super bright. "Good Christian prices" but it's something like $3 for a Lone Star. There's a big trump portrait over the door, take that as you will.

What a fun little bar on South Padre. We came in to watch a world cup game. There was no one else in the bar at noon, which is probably a good thing. The a.c. works great and the tv's were good for watching the game. Harry has 3 prices:$5 for liquor, $4 import beer, $3 domestic. That's it. Harry does not do any drinks which require a shaker, an olive, or an umbrella. This seems like the place locals come in for a drink after work. Not touristy at all. Harry will even pop a bag of popcorn for you. I love this place.

My husband and I went to S. Padre on vacation and stumbled onto Harry's Bar. Best bar on the island. Harry was the best and the prices were incredible.

My Family stumbled on Harry's Bar. This guy knows what he's doing. Great service, super clean and a great host. He made our afternoon fun. If you are in SPI check it out, it's a nice break from gift shops and tourist attractions.

While on vacation, my wife and I were walking down the strip looking for a place to grab a drink and we found a gem. Harry was quick to treat us like family, and not just another customer. He truly values his customers and we made it a point to stop in multiple times during our vacation. The drinks are priced very well and he is very personable. I recommend stopping in. If you're lucky, he might share some great stories and his lunch. Thanks, Harry!

Everyone needs to check out Harry's!!! Harry's is the kind of place that you just HAVE to tell people about! Harry made us feel right at home immediately!! There's music, a jukebox, a pool table & free snacks! It's an extremely clean place also!! He told us that nothing is more than 3,4, or 5 dollars! On the island, that's a killer deal. It's in a great spot & the other customers that were here were so inviting! (They seemed like regulars)

I had so much fun at this bar! Boyfriend and I had been walking around trying to find some place to get a beer, and stumbled across this place. It's right on the main drag but doesnt initially pop out, there isnt much about it that makes it look like a bar from the outside. We went in and were immediately greeted by the owner, Harry. The bar was pretty quiet by the time we got there and I dont usually like a quiet bar but Harry really kept the conversations going. No foo foo drinks! Dont go looking for anything other than a shot or a beer. All shots are $5, imports $4, and domestic $3. Cant beat it. We went in for a beer and left after three beers and a few shots. Definitely don't want to miss this place.

This place is awesome. Harry is the friendliest bartender on the planet. Beers are cheap, conversation is good. If you happen to be there on a day he cooks, he always makes enough to share food with everyone in the bar. My husband said the homemade Indian food was AMAZING. (I had no appetite due to excessive drinking the day before, but it smelled sooo good.) No foo foo drinks, just beers and mixed drinks, a couple of TV's, and just an all around good place to hang out. If we make it back to SPI, we'll HAVE to stop back in to say hey.

My husband and I decided to make a stop here since it had good reviews. I don't recommend this place at all. no music . Very abandoned. Really no reason to stop by at this place. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Mr Harry is actually very rude.

This is a must $5 top shelf all day every day beers are extremely cheap Open until two no Girly drinks !! Harry is a great funny guy nothing but a good time And cheap drinks even during spring break !

I had the pleasure of visiting Harry's Bar the first week in May. Spotless, clean, and an outstanding price structure. Harry is cordial and makes you feel at home. We had great conversations and the man listens to what you have to say. He appreciates his customers. Harry does make one awesome Bloody Mary! Many thanks Harry. I will always return.

Simple venue where you can kick back and enjoy life. Ac cooled, no cheap booze, and always $5 you call it!

Haresh is the man. He offers top-shelf liquors for $5. Free snacks. Will frequent his bar when we're back in SPI. He cares for his patrons. He turned our night around after getting ripped off at Louie's

Harry's is a quaint, down to earth bar to hang out and have drinks. Quiet enough to have conversation. Nice music, reasonably priced drinks; no Foo Foo drinks though! Harry himself is the bartender; he's a great host!

Be careful when setting on bar stools and chairs because they brake or the legs on the chairs will fold under. People have gotten seriously injured here. Even friends that tried to help with repairing all the furniture.

We went here last night to catch Thursday nights NFL game. The bartender was not easy to talk to and felt very standoffish. My date and I felt so uncomfortable we opted on leaving just after our first beer.
