Google
We had a great time at this place. It was crowded because a Tiger game was going to start soon but that dull the experience. Everyone was buzzing around but made sure we were taken care of. The food was great and I loved being on the upper floor being able to see outside. We will definitely make a return visit!

Google
Normally, I go to Harry’s if there is an event at Little Caesars Arena. Easy parking but everything else just be okay. However, yesterday was wonderful. I loved how they catered to the crowd by playing certain music or sometimes even doing drink menus that relate to the event. The food was wonderful and the drinks were nice and strong. The waitress was busy considering it was packed but she got us in and out in a timely manner.

Google
I had a craving for some bar food and did a little research. This spot had good reviews so I decided to stop by and see if the reviews were legit. I went after work(7ish)and it wasn’t busy at all. My service was fast and my server Vinnie was great. I had some bomb appetizers. I was told all most all of the food is made in house and it showed. My egg rolls and shrimp were on point. Now my lamb burger was so juicy and flavorful. I was just a little disappointed that it only came well done and I like my lamb medium. My margarita was ok nothing fancy and not too strong but fair. I will go back and try some more guddies.

Had a group of six in my party with no issues getting a table even with the bar being packed. Ordered the short rib grilled cheese that came with sauce on the side and fries. The sandwich was good, sauce ok, and the fries were excellent. The beer selection was standard with a few crafts. Kind of wish that they had more Michigan craft beers on tap.

Google
Went to Harry's prior to the Pistons vs Knicks (Game 3) and man was this place awesome. The service was excellent...they sat us very quickly even though it was packed. They have a ton of seating upstairs and down and have a nice outdoor space as well. The drinks were poured generously and brought quickly and the food was solid. Highly recommend the hillbilly nachos as an appetizer...they were packed with flavor...will definitely be back. If you are in the area or heading down there for a game/concert or event...highly recommend you check out Harrys before or after.

From the outside, I wasn't too sure about this place. I am so happy we went in, and Abby provided amazing service! The food came out so fast—it was amazing! I loved how the burger was stamped. It's such a great place to come before a game, and the atmosphere was fantastic as well! Well done!

Google
K, this s my 1st time here & so far so GOOD. I'm seated n the upper level, Great as I have an Open Window to look out & catch the rays, wind, etc. My waitress Alex s a Bubbly Bundle of JOY w/a Beautiful Smile. Going back 2 my Hey Days, circa 90's, ordered a French Kamikaze☺️, I knew they would need 2 look it up as I watched🙃🤣 I Love It, My Kamikaze was/is On POINT, THANK U😘😘, Now on to the Jalapeño Popper Eggrolls, smell good, looks good & taste AWESOME‼️ It is soo crispy on the outside, oil free & cheesy on the inside w/right amount of 🌶 🌶, not disappointed at All. My new go to spot when visiting LCA & FOX Theatre‼️‼️ They offer free parking during events, jst stop in ENJOY s Refreshment & a Bite. U won't b disappointed , oh come early, lot fills up pretty quickly 💖😘👍🏾

Google
We had an amazing dinner post-Tiger's game. They played awesome music and the food was superb! Not pictured were the jalapeno popper egg rolls, sooooo good! We fought over the last one!!

Yelp
I'm kind of nervous in crowds and horrible at navigating trips/evenings out, so I insisted we go downtown an hour early before the Billie Eilish show and tasked my daughter with finding somewhere convenient for our dinner between finding parking and the show. She picked Harry's, and I'm so glad she did! We were seated promptly, the food and drinks were good and efficient, and I was slightly calmer and ready to go by showtime! My daughter and her girlfriend got a sandwich and quesadilla. They shared both and and thoroughly enjoyed them! I got the fried pickles, and we all loved them too! Definitely making a note that Harry's is the place to stop on our way to LCA shows :)

Yelp
This review is only for pre-tigers or lions game stop, we didn't eat inside...just during tailgate before a tigers game. They turn the parking lot into a tailgate and it was super fun! The drinks were good and not too expensive. My husband ordered a burger from somewhere grilling them in the parking lot and let me tell you it's one of the best burgers I've tasted in years! It was a little pricey for a burger but worth every penny!

Yelp
So busy before the Red Wings vs Edmonton Oilers game Thursday night. I was able to squeeze in and get a beer then hang out standing along a bar in the middle until a seat at the bar opened up. I ordered bang bang shrimp tacos. Huge portion and very delicious! Pricey, but expected with the location. My bar staff was fast and efficient. My tab was accurate and closed out just in time to head over to the arena.

Yelp
We came here on a Friday after work. It was fairly busy but service was still fast. Our waitress was Tae and she was great. They don't have draft beer upstairs so I got a can of beer with a nice cold glass to pour it in. For dinner, I got the smokehouse burger and fries. The fries were ok but not super flavorful. The burger was really good. The sauce on it added a nice kick, thick bacon, good cheese. The vibe was upscale sports bar and clean. Definitely a good option to check out downtown.

Yelp
We went here before heading over to LCA for the Usher concert. The place was jumping and packed!!! We were seated up stairs, which has open walls. The food was good as well as the service. The only thing I didn't like was there is no rest room on the second floor.

Anna M.

Yelp
Fun place for before game drinks! Good service and friendly people. Food was mostly bar food but good.

Yelp
Paramos en este bar antes de ir al juego del básquetbol de los pistones. Pedimos unas hamburguesas Eron muy deliciosas recomendamos este lugar.

Yelp
If your looking to have a couple drinks before the game or maybe a bit to eat, this may be your ticket. We tried and failed. As organized as the host was, there were far too many people, too long a wait and absolutely no room to move in this bar Mrs E was feeling claustrophobic and we couldn't hear anything our friends were saying. It's not an ideal place for six or more to have dinner and drinks, plus carry on a meaningful conversation. Not on game night, anyway. We didn't get to the food. Instead, paid for drinks and ended up walking in and immediately sitting down at the Mixing Board in the arena. Maybe we can try Harry's under calmer circumstances. 12/23

Yelp
Great location to grab a drink or bite to eat before a game. We stopped in to grab something to eat prior to a Wings game and had about a 20 minute wait before being seated. We ordered the Bavarian pretzels which were really good. Could have easily ordered more but didn't. lol It is definitely a very lively place and can only imagine how crazy it gets as the night goes on especially on a game night. Only "negative" for us (I understand it but it was still a little off putting) was when we had finished eating and we were sitting and drinking, the manager cleared our table and said that they had about an hour and 15 minute wait for tables, so if we could finish and leave that would be great. Other than that, we would definitely eat here again if/when in town for a game.

Yelp
Came on a Wednesday afternoon before the Piston's game, and we were able to sit at the bar. Service was quick and the bartender was nice enough. Ordered fried pickles (they were okay) and the jalapeño popper egg rolls (too much cream cheese and not enough other stuff). Classic burgers were decent. Ranch was like water so don't expect the good kind. Volume was loud due to a packed house but mostly due to the girl at the bar who was using her outside voice the entire time while looking at outfits to wear to opening day.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty typical sports type bar. We stopped in after the Lions game and it was packed but we snagged a spot at the bar. We didn't try the food so can't comment on that, but the drinks were fine and not too expensive. They have a goldmine location so it's always going to be crowded on game day, if you like that type of ambience this is a good place to go. If you prefer a more neighborhood style bar to watch the game - stay closer to home! If was a good stop on our way back to our car to let the crowds thin. Probably wouldn't come here otherwise.

Don D.

Yelp
I'll start off with the bad part... The effin music was so load that customers had to yell across the table at each other! We could not hear what our waiter was saying, and he def couldn't hear us. When asked how we could maybe adjust the volume to a respectful level for a bar/restaurant, I was told to speak with the manager, who was pointed out. As I suggested to him that kicking the volume down a touch would help staff communicate with customers, and me and my guests wouldn't have to stand up and lean over the table to hear each other. I was told that the sound system was "pre-programmed" at that level, and there is no way to adjust it. He was obviously lying his ass off. So we just suffered through it, So the second our drinks were finished, we took our $$$ to a place down the street. We were getting ready to order a bunch of food too! Your loss Harry's, Good part, waiter was cool food decent, sports vibe was great! And for the record, I'm not some old geezer that thinks all music is too loud, I'm a life long drummer and audio engineer, I love it loud, just not while I'm trying to hang out and converse with friends and family.
google avatar

Alex T.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go before a Detroit sports event. In the summer, the open air upper level is super cool! Most recently, I was here before the MSU football game that was at Ford Field. The upper level was packed with Spartan fans and it was a super fun atmosphere. You can't go wrong with Harry's if you're going to the game.
google avatar

Yelp
Went after a concert at LCA. Tons of parking and nice atmosphere inside. My only gripe was the music was too loud. Me and my friends were yelling to talk to one another. Service was great and food was very good. Ordered the bang band shrimp tacos which were excellent.

Joseph P.

Yelp
Followed a recommendation to go here pregame and it was outstanding! We both ordered burgers and fries which were absolutely delicious and the service was great! Will be back!
google avatar

Daniel E.

Yelp
Harry's has great bar food... and I am picky so that is saying a lot. The salads are fresh, french fries served hot and portions are filling. The price is reasonable and the staff has been "on it" keeping things moving every time we have been there. You can also park in their lot when going to a show brining an added value. This perk has made us regulars and I am sure brings them a lot of business! My only critiques are that it's a little loud (but it IS A BAR after all) and they should add a veggie option like a Beyond Burger to the menu. In today's world this is a no-brainer and easy to do, no reason to not do it.

Tenisha B.

Yelp
Went here and thought I would have a good experience and at first I did. I was there with friends and one of my friends was outside as told to "spend money or leave". We had been there for at least an hour ordering food and drinks. It was embarrassing and completely disrespectful. Would never go back there again.

Yelp
When we got here it looks really cool on the inside, like a bar and grill you can actually sit, have a pint with some friends and great laughs all night, I really love the decor and the feeling on the inside. So I ordered a beer and we got food, I got some deep fried pickle chips and the Smokestack Burger. First thing I fell in love with is they actually make them round, I really don't like pickle spears deep fried (sorry never been a fan of how they are cooked) but the pickle chips are amazing and the sauce it comes with was delicious!!! It is a must order if you like pickles. The next thing was this Smokestack burger, now on the burger came smoked Gouda Cheese, smoked cherrywood bacon, spicy smoked sauce, lettuce and tomato on a grilled Brioche Bun, the cool thing they did with the bun is they branded their signature name on top of the bun, that was really cool! I had it cooked Rare and This burger was amazing, a little messy but VERY worth it, the meat was nice and flavorful and very tender, the lettuce was crispy and the tomato was fresh and the sauce even had a slight kick to it, not as spicy as I usually like it but this was good. I definitely recommend this place with a group of friends or even for a date night, it is just a nice place to come and unwind and have some fun.

Yelp
Decent food. Great service, but waaaay overpriced. Still go there from time to time, but avoid the food because of the pricing.

Yelp
BAD overall service- I try to attend quite a few afternoon tiger games. Like trying different places before games. It totally seems like these places close to venues, just don't really care - people come anyway. walked thru door at 11am , they just opened- 4 people ,asked for table of 8 upstairs- other 4 guys were 5 minutes behind. Told couldn't be seated unless all were there other people showed up - seated at different table. Waitress was just a bit snotty, shared burger and pretzel appetizer. Tasted ok - drink service a bit slow . Bill came - charged 20 percent tip for 8 people at table - really ? Even the owner/ manager got crappy about it
google avatar

Jess W.

Yelp
Harry's is my go to concert/sports even pregame spot. I am reluctant to post a review because I don't want everyone at my spot. Free parking, free shuttle to ford field/comerica and steps away from LCA. Drinks and food are decent what you'd expect for bar food. I haven't had a bad meal yet. Service is pretty good even when it's a busy event day.
google avatar

April G.

Yelp
Food was good. We had fried pickles, which were crispy and flavorful. The burgers were decent, a little more cooked than we asked but they were super busy trying to keep up just before a big event at LCA. The mac & cheese was yum! Atmosphere was fun and lively and our server was very friendly and attentive.
google avatar

Cheryl S.

Yelp
I ordered the hillbilly nachos and this is what it look like as you can tell there's no vegetables very little meat burnt nachos. Not sure if I'll go back.
google avatar

Erica K.

Yelp
My first time visiting Harry's and I was pleasantly surprised. Great food and excellent service. We had the fried pickles and chicken fritter appetizers. Both were really good!! You could tell the food was homemade. For dinner we had burgers and the bang bang shrimp tacos. The burgers were so delicious and cooked perfectly. The bang bang shrimp tacos were very tasty. You get four tacos, so it can split between two people if you are ordering apps. I really enjoyed the tacos and can't wait to come back to have them again. Overall, a wonderful dinner in Detroit. The server knew we were headed to LCA for an event and made sure everything came quickly. He was very attentive.
google avatar

Amy W.

Yelp
I have never reviewed Harry's? I have been coming here for so long... This is one of our places to park prior to a lions or Tigers game. On Thanksgiving we always park here, as Woodward Ave is closed due to the parade. It's a short walk to the stadium and parking is convenient. The service is prompt and friendly. I enjoy going upstairs on a warm day and sitting with the doors all rolled up. Well the weather was perfect on this day so that's exactly what we did. We sat and enjoyed an appetizer and a few beers and moved on to another spot.
google avatar

Bob B.

Yelp
Still the best burger in the D. By far the best and most consist cook on a burger, which is hard to get now days. I love going to events as it is a reason to hit this place up!

Nick V.

Yelp
Fried pickles were oil dripping wet and the two girls behind the bar waved and waited 5 minutes to serve us.
google avatar

CJ M.

Yelp
Great spot for before or after the games. The food is your typical bar food, but the service is great for always being packed. Happy we decided to stop in and see what everyone was talking about! We will be back! **did not try the iced tea.
google avatar

Amber J.

Yelp
Very cool sports spot! Went here in a Saturday afternoon. Ordered the chicken fritters and fries. They were pretty good. Service was nice too! Would be a great place to catch the tiger game and watch with all the local fans.
google avatar

Collette B.

Yelp
First time stopping here and was very happy with our experience. We stopped in after hitting a concert at Little Caesars Arena. We ordered a couple burgers and beer and the service was great despite it being Saturday night at 11:00 pm. The place was busy, we grabbed a high top table and order. The waitress was good, the music being played was good and a good atmosphere. Our food came out quickly and hot. Probably one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. The prices were reasonable for food and drinks.
google avatar

Madison D.

Yelp
Harry's is an awesome pre-game spot. It's a local favorite. They have a good menu and fast bar. We tried the bang bang shrimp tacos and they were great and very filling - perfect for two people.
google avatar

Robin K.

Yelp
Absolutely!! The food is awesome and the staff is so friendly and courteous. Our food came out in record time hot and ready to eat. The rub on the chicken wings was the best we've had
google avatar

Jade C.

Yelp
Great ambiance AND super close to the sports venues! The drinks were cheap and the burgers were good!

Yelp
This well-known Bar & Grill has always been my choice. My usual time is for an hour and a half for pre-game drinking and dining since 2017 maybe sooner? In the winter season I am a die-hard Red Wing hockey fan 10 years back when they played at Joe Louis arena. (This season so far, they are playing poor and I hope they get their act together soon) I am still supporting them when I can to attend a game with free tickets and also enjoy this sports bar. There are 5 or 6 TV's in here to watch naturally sport games or talk shows. Harry's Bar is 1 block in walking distant to LCA. I suggest to arrive by 4:00 pm and choose one of two parking lots. Seriously, I get in here 2 hours or more before a game to allow enough time to unwind, have a few drinks, appetizers, salads, sandwich or burger meal in my opinion. FYI = The doors open at LCA at 6:00 pm. Therefore arrive here at Harry's early to avoid the later crowd of hype sport fans, the wait time and loud noise level too. I can say over the past year or two even for a Tiger baseball game in the summer, that there are always different employees serving drinks and food all year round. Why I don't know but they all do their best to have pleasant attitudes along with speed and service. There has been a few times that a waitress will mix up a meal with a special request or mix up a final bill of a total or I have received someone's bill. Too busy? or not careful and accurate so Managers need to stay on top of my past service and now tips. The cooks in the kitchen are also hard working and have many talents with their many different "Daily Specials" offered weekly and weekends. The recipes are homemade especially the large casserole of "Baked Mac and Cheese" $15.75 with add in choices of pulled pork, chicken, bacon. They make their burgers from scratch based on one's choice with different toppings or add on's along with their famous crispy seasoned fries. Prices start at $ 9.50 on the burgers. I can definitely say I HAVE TRIED many different entrees, combos, wraps and drinks, and naturally I have photographed those plates or glasses, so I hope all my photos will be attached here with my review of Harry's Bar & Grill. I would say the prices are decent for the apps, meals and desserts. There is NO Happy Hour since the crowds come and go and are usually here to dine before a game. The noise level can be loud with so many guests talking and enjoying the hype before a sporting game for sure. At times its hard to talk across the table and chat, even with the server as well. The bartender's can really make a mixed drink good and strong. Oh yeah! That helps save the money for the expensive drinks at LCA. :) Read the "Chalkboards" by the bar when entering for the mixed drink and Beer specials. A favorite for a Tall Captain Morgan's is $7.00. Before leaving after a few drinks and a satisfying menu choice, the Ladies restroom is always clean with two working stalls. The soap dispensers are always filled and with working hand dryers. There's music playing throughout one's drinking or dining hours but it can't be heard too well in the bar or table areas. The music can be heard fine in the restroom. lol :) I've never met "Harry" if there is such a guy or owner? One of these times I hope to put a name with a face of this hot spot and well known bar before a game if Harry is available to make an appearance. Many times it's interesting and humorous during the hockey season to sit and people watch inside here with many Red Wing hockey jersey's being worn with different players names. Boo... on the guests wearing hockey jersey's for the opposing teams in nearby states or even across the river. Eh? So Let's GO "Red Wings" & those Detroit "Tigers" in the Summer. 4 stars instead of 5 only because this place needs more parking space and some repairs on the two lots with holes as of now. Give Harry's Bar & Grill a try before a sporting or concert event! The grill food is "Fantastic and Free" parking as well !
google avatar

Wayne G.

Yelp
My wife and I had the pleasurable experience of visiting Harry's the weekend before Valentine's Day. This wasn't your "typical " sports bar. Although it should be the standard of all sports bar. Our waiter was friendly, accommodating and courteous. The burger's were delicious and the drinks were good & strong. The decor was cool and the music classic rock (always a great choice) . Overall we had an awesome night and will be returning!
google avatar

Mishael T.

Yelp
Quick place to stop for a drink before a game. Typical sports bar with good prices. Will stop here before a tigers or pistons game again for sure if I have time to kill
google avatar

Doug M.

Yelp
Stopped here before our concert at Comerica. Great food. Wife had a salad with chicken and I had a burger. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend plus don't forget to get the chili. It was one of the best I e ever had.
google avatar

Gary B.

Yelp
Tucked behind a massive parking garage for the Little Caesars Pizza Arena. We went up to the roof bar during the evening where there was both a BB game and college bowl the same night. The bar was enclosed by clear plastic for the cold. You can park for free during games as long as you get there early and get a drink or food. The staff was great. They had a good beer selection and it was clean and bright. However, no draft beer upstairs. People told us the food was good. It was a little pricey.

Parris F.

Yelp
Burgers great Shane is the best bartender everrrrrrr I'm making this a regular spot for me my second time coming and everything from food to service to the way my drinks were made has been great!!! ASK FOR SHANE THANK ME LATER!
google avatar

Kent P.

Yelp
For what this place is (upscale sports bar), it is very good. Food was well above average. Came on a Saturday afternoon for their weekend brunch and really enjoyed their creative twists: wild mushroom hashbash and the breakfast flatbread. Strong bloody mary's served with just the right amount stuff in it. Good beer list also. TV's on the correct sports (no infomercials). Best part, honestly, was the service. Our server, Tae, was attentive with a great attitude and made our visit worth the trip. We will we back!

Kelly D.

Yelp
Very disappointed in the food here. $11 for fried pickles that looked like they'd been under a heating lamp for 3 hours. The ranch was as thin as water. The bread on the chicken sandwich dwarfed the chicken & the chicken was rubbery and flavorless. Other than the food, the drinks and staff were great. If I go again, I won't be eating there.
google avatar

Rebecca R.

Yelp
I like Harry's. It's a solid sports bar. Lots of big tv's, wooden bar, a few tables. They have a good dirty martini and their cab was better than most bar reds. I liked it. Harry's isn't a dive bar there are cloth napkins. Great place right watch "the game".

Jeremie M.

Yelp
Too expensive, for something small like a sandwich that won't fill you. If they can lower the cost then it'll be best for everyone

Kristine R.

Yelp
In town for Lions and Seahawks game and decided to try out Harry's for pregame. First of all they let you park free if you check out their place. Awesome deal! We sat at the bar and split the bang bang shrimp tacos and they were amazing! Actually comes with 4 even though only 3 in picture. So flavorful! We had bloody Mary's and mimosas. Mimosa was underwhelming but Bloody very tasty! We were about the only Seahawks fans there but everyone was very welcoming! Thanks for a great experience!!
google avatar

Daryl F.

Yelp
A must stop before every LCA event. Good bar food, their burgers are the best! Place is always packed so get there earlier. Great upper level to. In the summer it opens up and gives a great atmosphere on the top level.
google avatar

Nicholas K.

Yelp
The only reason this is a 2 star and not a -10 is because of the close proximity to the ice arena. The manager upstairs was a frantic jerk that was more concerned with policing the number of people per table than seeing to it that everyone was enjoying themselves. Saying things like "I don't trust anyone" to a customer is not a good business practice. Overall a terrible experience, but good location.

Diane K.

Yelp
Fantastic! Sat at the bar after the Tigers game over Miggy's Appreciation Weekend. Great food and service! We will be back!

Kevin O.

Yelp
Fast service, free parking! Great food!!! Located right behind Little Caesar's Arena

Gary R.

Yelp
Food was decent but overpriced based on portions and comparable to other restaurants. First visit there when in town for a concert. Nice location and inside was a sports bar feel. Service was outstanding. Very noisy inside but I guess that's expected. We had a party of 14 which is not ideal for this bars set up but they did a nice job accommodating us. If in town might give it another try.
