We came across this place on social media and decided to check it out — so glad we did! Ivan helped us right from the start and he was such a nice guy. Super welcoming and made the whole experience even better. We went with the dinner plate and ordered the baby back ribs, beef rib, and burnt ends. The baby back ribs and the beef rib were absolutely amazing — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. If I’m being honest, I slightly regretted getting the burnt ends. They were good, but I think the brisket would have been the better choice for us. For sides, we had the mac and cheese and the baked beans — both were delicious. Honestly, everything was five-star. The owner even came out to chat with us for a bit, which was a really nice touch. They also have fun games like Pac-Man, which made the whole atmosphere even better. Overall, I highly recommend coming in. Great food, great vibe, and great people.

Of all the places to find a gem like this, it seemed out of the place, BUT this was an awesome find nonetheless! Right off the bad, the owner was real kind, and greeted us, welcoming us in his establishment. I thought the other customers were just regulars, but he took the time to come to greet me and my friend too. I really appreciate that level of attentiveness, and it shows in the food they serve too. The meat was soft, but not super soft to the point it loses texture. The chicken sandwich is nice and thick, so I'm glad they don't skimp on that. The fried okra I did notice used a different breading than what I'm used to. I'm more used to the yellow cornmeal breading that makes it sweet. Nonetheless, despite that, fried at the right temperature, the breading was still nice and crispy! If I lived closer, I'd come back more often! If I didn't order all that food already, I probably would've gotten the peach cobbler too! 🤤

Im comparing to my Dallas, Houston and Austin trips. This Bbq is pretty good for Cali I think... not the magic Ive had in Texas but then again this place is Oklahoma style. If you like BBQ you'll like this place. The Brisket was like butter and the baby backs were very good.

About 6 or 8 tablets inside, no outdoor seating available. Lots of people seem to call in orders and drop in to pick it up to go. But, seating inside is fun. There's a free, also small, game room with a Pac Man and a pin ball machine. Free! Only drawback for me is they don't have fountain drinks. BBQ is very good. Brisket might just be my favorite meat. Really like the Mac and cheese as well as the fried okra. Take your time to read the entire menu, maybe order extra to take some home and...enjoy!!!

First time visiting and both the food + service was great. John (owner or manager?) plus both servers (Tee & Levi) were friendly and spoke to us in a relaxed manner. Even got a tour of the kitchen and the hickory feed rotisserie smoker. Had a choice between lean or fatty Brisket and went with lean; enjoyed it. Was impressed with the Mac n Cheese as the elbow noodles are large in size.

Harry’s is a small gem of a bbq joint in a quiet residential section of Lomita. They have placed figures of a pig and a cattle on the roof of their restaurant. They have added inside seating for the restaurant. They have sandwiches made of their favorite bbq cuts as well as combos of their bbq cuts and some sides. Brisket and baby back ribs were delicious with well smoked flavors. If you are craving some very nice authentic bbq meats in Torrance and Lomita area, this is a good option. Parking is available free on the street.

First time for my husband and myself to check out a place that we drive by all the time. Now my husband knows his BBQ, so I was crossing my fingers that this restaurant delivered some good BBQ!!!! THEY DID!!!! While waiting for our food, they brought out a complimentary basket of waffle fries....yum!!! We chose the 3 meat with 2 sides feast. Enough food for 2 people. We got the beef ribs, tri-tip and brisket along with the Mac n cheese and their molasses baked beans. Heaven!!!!! They had their meats on point!!! When ordering, I was asked if I wanted out brisket lean or fatty, we chose fatty so our brisket would be juicy, did not disappoint! The customer service was top notch!!! The bbq sauce was delicious. Mac n cheese and molasses baked beans are definitely sides we will order the next time. The mac n cheese was really cheesy. Baked beans were sweet but not overly sweet. They had 60's and 70's music playing in the background They have an area with games, including a pin ball machine. I was told on Friday and Saturday nights they have live 80's music for the diners to enjoy. This place is a little hidden gem in Lomita and so worth it!!!

A great little BBQ joint in Lomita!! Is has a nice 'hole in the wall' feel, but in a good way. The BBQ has a great taste and is very tender. You have extra BBQ sauce at the table, free old school video games and the walls are covered with pics of Harry with a huge variety of celebrities that will put a smile on anyone's face that's in the over 50 crowd. The dining area is cozy, clean and well lit by the store front windows. You get a free serving of waffle-cut fries when you dine in... an extra treat! My pulled pork sandwich was tender and a generous portion. I had mac and cheese and fried okra as my sides... both were very tasty! The staff are friendly, courteous and attentive, which adds to the charm and warmth of the place. Highly recommend Harry's if you have a BBQ craving.

We ordered catering from this small hole in the wall spot in Lomita for the Super Bowl and the food was so good. It was a huge hit at our party and everyone was asking where it came from. The staff was extremely helpful when it came to ordering large trays for our party, and we were even able to place the order the same day, which was impressive especially on such a busy Super Bowl day. The service was fast, organized, and very efficient. The ambience is also a fun bonus. The decor has a cool vintage vibe, and they even have free games in the back like Pac-Man, which adds to the charm of the place. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and ready on time. We will definitely be ordering from here again and love supporting great local businesses like this.

First time here and planning to return. They welcome you with free waffle fries. Highly recommend this place. The decor includes an array of pictures of the owner and well known celebrities. It's like a wonderful time capsule. We ordered the three meat platter (mixed brisket, beef ribs, and hot links.) For the sides we had fried zucchini and mash potatoes. Additionally, we ordered the cornbread and the brownie. That brownie looks rich, but it was not, it was perfect. It is served warm and with walnuts. Was so good. The meats were tender and delicious. The food came out quick and piping hot. Ivan took our order at the register, but he was also our server and he was friendly and top of everything. Regularly checked in on us. Really enjoyed our visit and food.

Visited Harry's BBQ For lunch on a Sunday and couldn't be happier with our decision. they have a lunch special everyday from 11-3 where you can get 2 meats and a side for $22. Definitely a steal. We ordered the Beef ribs, tri tip, brisket and baby back pork ribs. The standout of the show was the brisket & beef ribs. Their spicy bbq sauce is killer. We will most definitely be coming back. The meal was affordable, there's free parking in the back, the service was excellent - shout out to Ivan for helping us!!

WELCOMING came here with a buddy and shared a three meat feast. Got the beef ribs, the baby back ribs and some brisket. Aaron recommended the mashed potato fritters and the cornbread and they were good. He made sure we had everything to enjoy our meal. The bbq here is a bit on the leaner side. But I'm always happy to have bbq. They have a spicy bbq sauce and an original on the tables. I drench my meats. I think the pork ribs were the best from the three. They have free arcade games, but don't get bbq sauce all over them. They have a small lot in the back for parking or you can test your luck down the residential/street parking. Nice to have Harry's as a local bbq joint.

Great customer service, nice looking theme with photos around the walls. Ordered the 2 meat off the menu - baby back ribs 3 piece was amazing, smoked, tender once you bite melts in your mouth. Beef was just dry, so much sauce that made it some what good. Mac & cheese was ok Waffle fries amazing haha

Friend and I was craving bbq and we decided to call in our order. 3 Sliders. Brisket ,Tri-Tip, Pork Mac & Cheese Baked Beans Peach Cobbler Waitress - keep in mind that the tri-tip is $1.20 extra.. is that ok?! Sure I said. Then for my order I requested it to be in a separate bag and due to the photos I asked if I could sub the slaw. I was told that it's just the photos, no side of slaw but some will come on all the sliders. 3 sliders 2 chicken, brisket and a side of okra. 3 parking spots behind the business or you can park on the side. Food is stored in a hot bin to the right which is amazing!! However, food was not separate which was an easy fix and our peach cobbler was missing. I called and they credited back my card immediately which was great. When I had a chance to look at my check.. I noticed $5 charge for tri tip versus $1.20 we discussed on the phone. Pieces of the okra was cold and our bread was soggy. I like to toast the bread on the grill to give the sauce/meat a good foundation to sit on before entering my stomach. I'll definitely try them out again. Over all I believe the check was $86.

Tried Harry' Oklahoma Style Smokehouse for the first time. Came into town to celebrate my Grandmas 94th Birthday, and she wanted bbq. We picked the best spot because she said, these were the best ribs she's ever had! I had the pulled pork sandwich, and it was amazing! Huge portion sizes at an amazing price. We are looking forward to coming again! This place will not disappoint!

GO FOR THE FANTASTIC CORNBREAD -- probably the most perfect slice of cornbread we've ever had. The Mac and cheese isn't thick but it was good too.

This OKlahoma-Style barbecue was just OK. I guess this was historically a takeout place but they started to offer dine-in so I decided to check it out. It seems pricier than Lucille's. You have to order at a counter, pay for it first, and then you can sit down and eat it inside. This is another place that has the nerve to ask for a tip before you even find out what the quality of the service will be. The cashier looked like he didn't want to be there. When I ordered the food and drink, he told me he would bring the drink over to my table. I didn't realize that these are just bottled beverages. Did he bring the beverage over anytime soon? No. I sat down and waited for my two item combo to be delivered. The place has an eclectic vibe. There are some barbecue references on the walls, but then randomly they have other weird stuff on the walls it made me feel like I was in a teenage boys room back from the 1980s with clutter everywhere. They had some sort of mini arcade area that you can play if you want, for free. Onto the food, I ordered the baby back ribs, which were not as tender as I like ribs to be, and they were oversauced (for my liking) with a very sweet bbq sauce (for my liking). The second meat I ordered was the brisket. It was tender, maybe mildly on the dry side, and again over sauce with the cloyingly sweet barbecue sauce. I found it odd that they heavily sauced both when they have the barbecue sauce is sitting at the table. I would've been much happier to apply my own sauce. They also had a spicy version. The sides I ordered with the meal was a cornbread with honey butter, and fried zucchini with ranch. The cornbread was mediocre. I probably wouldn't order it again because they give you a small dinner roll (which probably came out of a bag from a grocery store). I can't imagine them baking bread at this place. The fried zucchini were horrible. Had an unseasoned thick hard shell on them and the inside had an anemic piece of zucchini. It's definitely felt like they were just refrying something frozen out of the bag. The ranch dressing felt like it came from a bottle, only watered down. It was flavorless. Also randomly while waiting on the food, they brought over a basket of waffle fries. If I knew they were gonna bring over a basket of waffle fries that I didn't order, I probably would not have ordered the fried zucchini. Back to the service, they did refill my water cup a couple of times, which I appreciated, but when I asked for some sweetener for the unsweetened iced tea, they never came with it. They also made it a point to say goodbye as I was leaving which I thought was nice but slightly creepy because I was already out the door and the door was closed behind me. Value: it was about $38. I was full, but it just seemed a little bit expensive for the quality. Bottom line: Will I be back? I wouldn't go here on my own (as there are better bbq places in the South Bay), but I also wouldn't nix the idea if somebody else really wanted to go there. I would probably just get the brisket and ask them not to sauce it. Or, I might try their tri-tip. I definitely would skip the fried zucchini. The waffle fries were good. I don't know if they routinely give free waffle fry appetizers. The cornbread was just OK.

Harry's is new to me, but they've been killing it for years. Only after 3 or so decades of exclusive catering have they added a small dining area, and what a treat it was to try! The reason behind their longevity is clear - the tender, smoky-ringed Pork Ribs are amazing, and the Brisket is among the smokiest, most tender I've had in SoCal. Their specialty is Tri-Tip, which is good and steak-y, and Burnt Ends are never a bad idea, though the first two are still my favorites. The Fried Okra is fantastic, a highly-recommended side, and even their waffle fries are amazing when they're fresh out of the fryer. The ambiance is casual contentment, simple tables sitting under photos of famous people. I didn't know anything about Oklahoma bbq before I hit up Harry's, and now that I've had Harry's, I will definitely be having more.

If you're after hearty, authentic Oklahoma-style BBQ in the South Bay, Harry's Smokehouse is a standout. The ribs and tri‑tip are reliably excellent, the sides are comforting (go for the fritters!), and the staff's warmth adds to the charm. It's a takeout or outdoor‑only spot, so come prepared--but bring an appetite and you'll likely leave with a contented grin and leftovers in tow. Definitely recommend getting the combo. My least favorite was the Mac and cheese as I felt it was too runny. Some people might prefer that. The owner will come out and check on his patrons. Very friendly guy. The place is clean and very open. They have pictures of the owner and many celebrities on the wall. Parking isn't too bad either.

Service is all over the place. We got seated and waited for our order to be taken. We weren't told we were supposed to order by the register. The tables we sat at was too close to the next table Food is good. Brisket was a bit dry.

Wow, this hole in the wall BBQ spot is awesome. The Baby Back Ribs for 2 was plenty to feed myself and my boyfriend, and still have some left over! The sauce here is sooooo good. Also great service from Ivan and Marlin.

Hands down some of the best BBQ I've had in a while. The ribs were perfectly cooked, the sausage was flavorful and smoky, and the brisket was tender and juicy. The mac and cheese was creamy comfort food heaven, and the baked beans were so good I could eat them alone. Generous portions, amazing flavor, and just an all-around satisfying meal. This place is a must-try! Ivan & Gabby are the absolute best!! Incredibly friendly & helpful! Amazing customer service!!!

If I remember correctly: This place originally started as a catering operation; later, it added takeout; and then, it started on site dining, with limited hours. Harry's Oklahoma Style Smokehouse BBQ now offers indoor dining, on site, seven days a week. On this occasion, I ordered the two-meat combo ($27.25) and a can of Coca-Cola ($3.15). With tax ($3.19), my ticket was $33.59 before gratuity. My choices were brisket, baby back ribs and sassy slaw. It also came with a bread roll. When I try a new BBQ restaurant, I usually ask for sauce on the side. This allows me to check out the bark, smoke rings, and the underlying seasoning. I got distracted and forgot to do this; so, the meats had sauce applied. This said, the sauce was good -- not overpowering. It was not too salty or too sweet, and the amount of vinegar was not excessive. The ribs were cooked well; the meat was firm but came off the bone easily. The brisket was tender, and not dry. The serving size was good for mid and heavy eaters; light eaters might expect to take home leftovers. The bottom line is that eating here is like eating in a small-town diner. There's a good amount of hospitality shown. And the food is good in quality, hearty by nature.

We got catering for a workevent and this was such a good find! Off their catering menu, each portion worked out to be less than $30pp. The portions were huge, we had a beef ribs and tri tip, with beans and potato salad as a side. They threw in sausage links in each one free of charge. With a roll and some butter on the side, this was a heavy lunch- but delicious! Beef ribs were super tender, the tri tip was moist and the barbecue sauce was to die for. Sausages had a bit if a kick to it but delicious none the less! Beans were sweet and tangy. Can't rave enough over my takeout meal so I can only imagine how good it'll be when I visit and eat it fresh!

This place is absolutely amazing! I'm speechless! Not only is the ambiance so relaxing and welcoming, but the food is also delicious! They even offer you complimentary fries. The service is fantastic too very attentive. You really have to try this for yourself! Ivan and Jose were very kind and provided great service.

I'm sad this place didn't live up to the other high star reviews for us. We got the combo plates and ordered ahead for Father's Day. We got there and the place was packed. Waited about 10 more minutes and got our order and took it to a nearby park to eat it. I judge a good bbq place by their brisket! And this brisket was sooooo dry. Thank god they had good bbq sauce or I wouldn't have been able to eat it. The ribs were just okay and none of the sides stood out. Definitely skip the cole slaw. It was just cabbage. Didn't have any sauce flavoring to it. Was disappointed. I definitely wouldn't come back for how pricey it is.

This place is great!! We ordered the 3 meat feast and the portions are huge. We got baby back ribs, brisket, and tri-tip which were all amazing. Make sure to add extra bbq sauce and try the spicy bbq sauce for a kick! For sides we tried the corn fritters, baked beans, Mac and cheese, and green beans. All delicious but you can't miss the corn fritters. Huge shout out to Ryan, Ivan, and Javier who had amazing customer service. We will definitely be returning! Also fun music and great ambiance. Highly recommend!

We were here 6 months ago and food and service were great. I don't know what happened now but probably will not come back again. We ask for sausages and I told the person that order that I couldn't eat spicy so we did not have the jalapeño ones but the other ones were super spicy too when I told him afterwards, he said well the jalapeño are spicier. I told him while in the future told people that this one's our spicy too because I cannot eat spicy, and he started arguing with me about which one was more spicy. He never tried to change them not even say sorry. The macaroni and cheese was like made with water and the coleslaw is like a regular salad very disappointing. The meal also comes with raw and butter and they never brought it. I had to go and ask for it and they gave it to me as a favor.

Excellent quality. Friendly service, but spotty. Pork ribs were fatty, so made a new order which was fine. Fries good. Tri tip excellent. Ordered 2 item combo and served 2 people fine, so high prices not as noticeable.

Small spot with a dining area inside. We got the 3 meat combo. For two people it was a lot of meat. Pork ribs were delicious. Would order again. Rib tips were hit or miss. Some were melt in your mouth and others were dry. I think they were beef. I would pass on the brisket. Dry. Mashed potatoes were good and buttery. Baked beans and coleslaw were ok. We also got cornbread which was ok but more cake like than classic cornbread. I would recommend not ordering extra sides unless they come with the combo because they are mediocre and are expensive for the small portion you get.

BU FAR THE BEST IVE HAD! It's a must try! Baby Back Ribs- Tender, fall of the bone, and seasoned perfectly. Bbq sauce is flavorful and subtle not overpowering so that you can taste the quality of the meat. Waffle fries were crispy, hot, and fresh... paired with their ranch which is AWESOME! Corn Bread/ 10/10 moist, soft, and buttery... smells and tastes delightful. Don't miss out! CUSTOMER SERVICE: 100/10 Mr. Harry is a humble man who KNOWS bbq. I was very impressed with Harry's...We need a great bbq place here in the South Bay. Iván was very helpful at navigating the menu...and answered all our questions. Place is very cozy and I loved the decor... Now to the food... We ordered a three meat platter and a two meat platter... Beef ribs, Tri Tip, beef brisket and baby back ribs all were excellent...you can't miss! Side: mash potatoes, corn bread, Mac and cheese and baked beans... I loved the beans and the corn bread... Definitely will be back for more bbq in Lomita...

Finally got to try this place! I went on doordashes here before but never got to try it out until today. Had my brother order it over doordash since I have the flu and didnt feel well enough to drive. We got the baby back ribs, brisket, and pulled pork with bbq beans, corn fritters, and peach cobbler for dessert. It was all very good. Especially the brisket, which was so tender and juicy. Not sure if it was worth the steep price of $91, but it was good and I'm glad I tried it.

Hidden gem in the south bay. Been driving here all my life and never knew a great bbq place was located here. Love how the restrooms are decorated and tag. Customer Service was amazing and friendly!

I finally found a bbq spot I like nearby! I know this spot is Oklahoma style, but they actually pulled off the brisket better than any other place I've tried locally. I only had it as takeout, but the fatty brisket we got was super tender and flavorful. It had a nice smoke ring as well. The seasoning was nice and peppery--different from Texas brisket, but still really good. I also tried the beef rib, which also had a nice smoke ring and a peppery bark. This was also super tender and good as well! The beef hot link we ordered was fantastic as well! Perfectly spicy enough. I love a good bbq sausage. The meats are the star, but the sides I tried were all good as well! The mac and cheese was amazing. I love a good cornbread and this place hit the mark without being too dry. The baked beans were also so good! The molasses made it sweet but not overbearingly sweet. I definitely want to try some of their other sides in the future--potato salad, fried okra, fried pickles, slaw. I'll also have to try some of their other meats too!

This Food is Elite and the vibes are here. But really what sets this place apart is their service! Definitely coming back soon!

We visited Harry's on a Saturday evening for dinner. The ambiance is that of a local neighborhood family-owned establishment and the staff is very welcoming and kind. The food is great (we had the feast with pulled pork and tri-tip, potato wedge fries and kale salad) and I'm pretty sure this will be our go-to for bbq from now on. The wait for the food felt to be a bit long, but at no time did we feel ignored or forgotten. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back. Also, I'm not a big kale eater, but their kale salad was both beautiful and tasty.

Went on an early dinner date with my husband who has never had American BBQ before...and we absolutely loved it! The baby back ribs were so tender and the chicken breast very juicy/flavorful. Great portions for sharing for two - we got the 2 meat plate which also comes with 2 sides of our choice. They gave us a free appetizer of potatoes which was perfectly crisp! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for incredible BBQ in the South Bay! Has to be the best BBQ I've had in So-Cal. The staff is really kind and welcoming! Will be coming back sometime soon!!

So I ordered the baby back ribs, burnt ends, tri-tip, cole slaw, mashed potatoes and potato salad. The ribs and tri-tip were good, burnt ends were a little dry. BBQ sauce is good, especially the spicy one. Didn't like the sides at all. Cole slaw had zero flavor, almost seemed like just cabbage with no dressing. Potato salad was eh and the mashed potatoes were watered down or something. Cornbread was dry and the rolls that came with the food were ok, just store bought. For the price they charge, their sides should be much much better. Wouldn't eat there again.

Seen a billboard for this place on PCH for a while and finally got the chance to go, and this place don't miss. We were greeted by Tony, who went above and beyond to give the best service, shout out to Tony for the recommendation. We had the 3 meat comb, baby back ribs, briskets and the bbq chicken was on point. They gave us complimentary waffles fries and corn bread which was delicious. I love how they had the arcade games and the place itself is very clean and well maintained. I been looking for a great BBQ place for a while and Harry's didn't disappoint, we will definitely be coming back.

This place is a local gem. Been around since 1990, but it's now got a dining room that's been open for a few months now. Their portions are generous, their service is excellent and the vibe is not at all pretentious. It's a truly comfortable and great spot to eat. Definitely recommend this for a good low key vibe and some top quality BBQ.

Crazy how you find an awesome BBQ that's so good! Had the homemade Cherry Cobbler and the Peach..a diabetics dream...so good and yummy!

The brisket was disappointing. They also put sauces on top. Service is average. Ambience is average. Visited for the first time hoping to find a nearby bbq joint. So far none have met my expectations. Still need to drive to downtown or West Hollywood for a good bbq.

First impressions of getting seated was the immediate table service, and we tried the waffle fries. Fresh, crisp, big size bites, and amazing with the spicy bbq! Ambience is very welcoming. Ivan showed up complete hospitality, quick with knowledge of the menu, and knew what we wanted - The fatty brisket! The food: we ordered 2 smokehouse two meat feats - 2 baby back ribs and 1 brisket (fatty) and pulled pork with mozz sticks, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, onion rings, and the fresh cornbread. Mashed potatoes - taste of buttermilk and disintegrate in your mouth Mac & cheese - very good only thing it needs in my opinion is pepper but my personal preference Brisket - square portions not dry great with spicy barbecue sauce Onion rings - fresh, clean oil and taste, and big size Pulled pork - normal pulled pork, but not dry Ribs - (Favorite!) amazing flavor doesn't need anything with it no sauces no napkins! Cornbread - tastes like home, super good with the honey butter! 100/10 would smack again!! Awesome service from the back and Ivan!

ordered takeout Wednesday @ 4:30pm "smoke house burger and fried pickles" on the website is says the smokehouse burger comes with bacon and brisket , after getting the burger it only had lettuce and pickles no brisket or bacon , I called to ask and they said that's all they have. burger was also well over done after asking for medium rare and the bun was burnt. food was not good

We found this place by accident on a date night and we're so happy we did. This place has a great environment, friendly staff (Ivan was fantastic and made us feel at home) and the best damn BBQ around. We're definitely coming back again. And we're bringing friends back to share the good vibes and sweet meats.

Stopped by Hary's BBQ Lomita for dinner and the food hit the spot. The ribs were super tender and had that smoky flavor you can't fake, and the mac & cheese was creamy with just the right amount of cheese pull! The place has that cozy BBQ vibe. Service was chill too. The guy at the counter was friendly and brgouth our food out fast, even tossed in extra sauce when I asked. Prices weren't cheap but for the flavor and portion size...it felt worth it.
