Consistently good food. I’ve tried the red fish and grits prepared slightly different each way and they were both delicious. The chicken and grits was good as well, but the red fish takes the win. Customer service is always great and I’m usually seated and in and out within my work lunch.

The food was amazing. We had the jambalaya soup as an appetizer and it was scrumptious. The butter with the bread they served? Amazing. The shrimp and grits was great! 😊 Service was fast. 3 years ago I wrote 3 star review and deleted it because it’s dramatically improved!

First time trying Harry's and my wife and I found it to be delicious. I wish I was good with names because our server was awesome. She kept our drinks filled and made sure everything was taken care of. I got the she crab soup to start and it was delicious. Best I've hadsince I visited Charleston . The Louisiana Fondoux was great and the complimentary bread was also a welcome addition. I got crab crusted red fish and my wife the andouie crusted grouper. Both dishes were excellent and the smashed potato sides were quite good. Only thing I didn't care for was the corn side dish that came with the red snapper. Not awful just not my favorite. If you are looking for a date night destination or just a good place to eat try Harry's

My bf & I decided to get takeout. The cashier was very pleasant! The food didn’t take long to be prepared. The food was an overall 6.5 out of 10. It’s not my favorite place but it isn’t my worst neither. Thank you Harrrys!

Had the grouper and shrimp platter and chose to go with the collard greens and red beans and rice. The grouper was seasoned and cooked very well. The collard greens were seasoned perfectly and were extremely good. The red beans and rice no bueno!! They were not seasoned, over coooooooked, and needed a lot of help. The mahi was cooked well and the butter sauce was good. The corn grits needed some seasoning and a little salt would have gone a long way. Service was lack luster to say the least. She was all over the place and forgot often. Maybe if she stayed on task instead of wondering off to chit chat with the people up front she would have done better.

Go here to get your Cajun on. Start with a Big Easy. Then go Gumbo with Harry's hot sauce. Follow up with Mahi baked French style and red beans and rice.

Beautiful restaurant, menu just not for me. I heard they served fried crab claws, my favorite, just went to try them, was not disappointed!

I've been to the Harry's in St. Augustine and though the food is great its hard to get in there so it was nice to find it here in Tallahassee and with no problems getting in. Our server was Gabe and he was awesome. Quick service with drinks, appetizers and entrees. The calamari was a bit over cooked but fresh no fishy taste and the breading was delicious. The bourbon Street salmon was so soft and went so well with the smashed potatoes. The chicken tenders were cripsy but so light and juicy. We plan to go back again.

Traveling through Florida and wanted a tasty seafood spot - The minute we first walked in.. the place was packed - very good sign! Hostess and bar server was very nice! If you parked in the parking garage - walk to the exit, turn right & go up stairs- the restaurant is located at the top. Ambiance is amazing, dim lighting, great for groups, dates, and friend gatherings!! Food had a great taste and flavor! Food may need a bit more salt depending on who you are - red fish was slightly overcooked, other than that- food had great flavor!

We have had many enjoyable meals here over the years. There's a comfortable bar with tables and booths up front, an equally comfortable dining area behind that and plenty of seating on the balcony that runs down one side and across the back affording a western view towards Wescott at FSU. The restaurant is located on Kleman Plaza and parking is available in the parking garage underneath. I think it would be a mistake coming here expecting highly authentic New Orleans food. Just enjoy the tasty offerings with some prepared in a New Orleans style. Over many meals we have enjoyed the French Market Pasta, most of the fried seafood options, red beans and rice with sausage and many seasonal offerings. Most recently we had the Grouper Bites and Blue Crab Claws from the appetizer menu and the Crab and Eggplant Napoleon from their seasonal menu. All were delicious with generous portions at a reasonable price. I was especially impressed with the amount of lump crab meat on the Crab and Eggplant Napoleon. Service is usually good as long as they aren't really busy. We don't dine at peak times so we usually don't have to wait to be seated. There is a small seating area for waiting inside and a good sized comfortable outdoor space to sit and wait.

The crab cakes were good. The service was pretty good. I would def come back. I ate at the bar when I dined in

This location is great. The outside patio view has a great shot of the city. My wife and I shared the Chicken & Shrimp Creole. It was phenomenal. The dish had a good balance of flavor and heat. The portion size was big enough to feed both of us and still have leftovers. My son had the Shrimp Tacos. They looked very good. He ate 'em up and said those tacos were great. He ordered a coleslaw as a side and it arrived in a big bowl. The service was great as well as the ambience. I will definitely return the next time I am in Tallahassee.

I absolutely love the food here. You can't go wrong with any of the items on the menu. The drinks are great and the atmosphere is nice as well. The only thing I wish Harry's would get together is the service/wait times. I get it, you have hungry customers but... when the restaurant isn't full why am I still waiting 50 minutes for food? That's the only part that really gets me. Other than that I love it here.

Overall the food was good. Not great, I've had much better Cajun food. But our server was top-notch. The place is well decorated and the booth was very comfortable. The food had that wonderful cajun blackuned flavor. The shrimp in my shrimp and scallops were a little overdone. But the scallops were perfect and the sauce, well the sauce got them a star! This is the first stop on my current trip to Tallahassee and it was a great start. Not, that I will be in Tallahassee again for a while. But as I said the atmosphere and server make this a great place to stop by and enjoy!

They brag about New Orleans style food. Well, I have been to New Orleans several times, and this food is nowhere near NOLA taste. We had jambalaya and red beans with sausage. Don't get me wrong, everything was tasty. It just didn't make my mouth say WOW like I was expecting. It was okay. The server we had was very good. The hostess(es) were rude and acted as if this were a country club and we didn't measure up to their standards. In addition, a 25 minute wait for a table for four in a restaurant only 2/3 full at 2 in the afternoon, is not acceptable. I will probably never be back in Tallahassee, but if I do return, this probably wouldn't be where I would spend my money for a meal.

I have had Harry's often since moving back to Tallahassee. I gave it a solid 4 stars because 9 times out of 10, the service and food are 4 stars or above. There have been a few times items have had to be changed or fixed for me or for those in my party, but the server and management have always handled it well. As an annual NOLA (New Orleans) visitor, Harry's cannot come close to the delicious fare various spots in NOLA offer; however, it is good enough for Tallahassee standards and the seafood I get there (fish and shrimp) never fails to delight and never needs more salt. Beware, their bread and garlic herb butter is addicting and also saddening if you find yourself being gluten-free when you travel there. The restaurant is super convenient if you find yourself downtown and it is right next to Kleman Plaza's parking garage. If you work downtown in any of the surrounding state buildings, you are likely to get in and out within an hour but if you have a larger party, it takes about an hour and a half. I do enjoy all areas of the restaurant where ambiance is concerned. Enjoy the patio if the weather is nice though.

My stepson attends FSU so my wife and I are always looking for good restaurants in Tallahassee. This past Saturday was the second time we dined at Harry's and thought it was excellent. There's a nice bar here and the seafood is very good. We got here before 7pm so we were able to get drinks at Happy Hour prices which was nice. We started with an appetizer of Crispy Calamari which was served with asparagus. This was delicious and could have been a meal itself! For entrees, my stepson and I both had Crab Cakes, my wife had Baked Stuffed Shrimp. Everyone loved their food! The only bummer at the meal was that we were all set for Bananas Foster for dessert and they were out of it. If you're planning on dining here, they don't take reservations, but call 30 minutes ahead to get on the wait list, it really helps. The restaurant is in a busy area, but there's a parking garage downstairs which makes it easy.

Paid a first visit to Harry's while on a quick visit to Tallahassee. First off, if you are not familiar, you may have a bit trouble locating the restaurant. The GPS will take you to the location, but from your vehicle, you'll miss the restaurant. It's not at street level. Look up. The restaurant sits maybe 3 stories up from the street and the front door is up the stairs, opposite street street side. We arrived on a Friday evening. They have a call ahead protocol. We used it and were promptly seated. The crowd was moderate. We were promptly seated at a booth. The Misses stated that the booth seats were too low for the tables. But it worked out fine. Our server was prompt in delivering a basket of hot French bread and butter. The bread was awesome. The menu has ample offerings for anyone that enjoys seafood. There are several Cajun themed dishes. We had the shrimp and grits and the grouper. We requested the sauces on the side for both. Glad we did. The grouper was flaky and cooked to perfection.,I added a sparse amount of the sauce. It was a nice enhancement. The shrimp and grits were typical but very tasty. The server was cordial and attentive.The ambiance is all you would imagine for a Louisiana styled eatery. We would go again without hesitation.

Harry's has been a downtown Tallahassee staple for years. The food has a Cajun twist to it and is tasty. I ordered the French baked scallops with the corn maque choux, I wasn't a huge fan of the side but the scallops were well cooked. The banana foster dessert was delicious! It is on the pricer side but we were eating seafood.

Dining room area is classy. Servers are friendly. The best part is the warm bread and garlic butter we were served before meals. Not even a lot of restaurants who feature expensive dishes nowadays serve bread before meals anymore. It's New Orleans style food, so cooking is on the salty side. Louisiana Fondeaux, Harry's Signature Crab Cakes, Crawfish Étouffée, Chicken and grits tasty as expected. Quality is decent. Dessert Oreo Beignets was nice and hot, big portion which is great for sharing. We went during regular dinner time. May go back to try : Daily 2-7 happy hours with early dinning menu 4-6 pm.

Had a terrific experience at Harry's. Our server was Marie. She did a wonderful job. Greeted us nicely welcomed us to the restaurant asked if we had visited before. Ambiance was very chill and relaxing. We each had different entries. Shrimp tacos, Jambalaya and shrimp and grits. Nothing but clean plates. Excellent. We all shared a key lime pie that was excellent and called it a night. In our son decides to attend FSU we will No doubt be back. Thank you

My meal was delicious! However the service wasn't the best. We had a reservation for a decent size party about 15 people, we weren't seated until an hour later. The manager wasn't too bothered and we were simply told they were waiting for another table nearby to leave so they can seat us... we didn't let this ruin our night. I ended up getting the pasta which was a pretty decent size and it definitely was delicious! Our server was trying but it wasn't the best, a lot of times we were waiting for water to be refilled, she forgot some people's drinks, and wasn't around so we can remind her.. overall I would not suggest coming here in a big group. They do have parking in the lot nearby which convenient in this busy area. The restrooms were big and clean. I do believe their food is delicious and worth the wait. The service isn't aligned with the food quality which is a bummer. Perhaps it's something that they can improve on.. overall would probably come back if craving the same meal in the future but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Love Harry's. Always a good meal and waitstaff is so nice! Very nice atmosphere too! Give them a try. You won't regret it.

Quick dinner on my way from Tallahassee to GA at Harry's did not disappoint. The restaurant was pretty packed for a Monday night, right before closing. The menu is extensive, with Just about everything you can imagine. I went for grouper assuming it's a local fish. It was well done, somewhat overloaded with the sauce but I could have read more carefully. Definitely recommend Harry's if you are in town.

What a great experience and meal. The food (seared tuna, shrimp scampi, and chicken & grits; and oreo that's beignet) and drinks were all awesome. Adi was a wonderful server. We will definitely be back!

We didn't know it was a chain until we saw it pops up when we visited another Florida city. We immediately made a reservation the last dining experience at Harry seafood was awesome. As usual, there is a bit of wait as well worth it. I also like their hot sauce made in the house. About two bottles to bring back home.

The food is amazingly Good, Service was Great and really helpful in deciding what you would like to eat,, & the Ambiance quite elegant and refined!

Only thing I didn't like was the scallops were a lot too chewy and soggy for me. But everything else was good. Service *** The hostess was super nice at the front. Our waitress NOT so much. She didn't smile. Her attitude was very dry and seemed like she didn't enjoy her job. No contact with me but made eye contact with my boyfriend. She Didn't really check on us. If i was to eat here again I'd ask not to be seated in her section. Ambiance **** Always a beautiful place.

Had a fantastic date night here, and quite possibly the best one yet! We wanted a chill vibe with excellent food and a quiet atmosphere and that is exactly what we got. We sat outside and it was so beautiful, got to enjoy the sunset, the food was to die for (we shared the seafood dip, royale, and medallion steak), and our waitress, Maya, went above and beyond to make sure our time there was enjoyable. She made sure that both entrees were split perfectly in half for us since we told her we were sharing, she made great banter, and had the best outgoing and friendly personality. We will definitely be back, we couldn't be happier, highly recommend!!!

My favorite restaurant in Tallahassee. Seared tuna，fish finger and Ribeye steak are our favorite.

The salmon was good, I wasn't a fan of the mash potatoes but that was personal Preference, overall a good experience

One of Tallahassee's good food spots. Parking is easy, service was okay, and ambiance was enjoyable. Table booths seat 6-8 people so ample room for group dinners.

One of the best restaurants i've ever been to. We walked in on a Friday at 2:00pm and we were out of there 48 minutes later. Our waitress was Olivia and she was very nice and attentive. She was really well versed with the menu and always made sure we were enjoying our meal and that our waters were topped off. The Boudin Balls were amazing and the Jambalaya is such a big portion for a great price. My mom had the grouper with mashed potatoes and it look delicious. The restaurant is clean and the ambience is nice. Everything on the menu looks so good that I will have to keep coming back to try everything.

On a short visit toTallahassee for a couple of days and Harry's was highly recommended. The service was great. The ambience is excellent for couples, families and large groups. The food was fresh, delicious and she crab soup is a must try.

Ok... so I'm from Louisiana and this menu screams Louisiana. My drink I ordered was a Big Easy and I started with fried green tomatoes and my main dish is the crab crusted red fish Royale. I made it during happy hour and the signature drink are $7. The big easy is actually tasty. A mixture of 5 different spirits, pineapple and sour. I sat at the bar, my fried green tomatoes have arrived and I have no silverware. Food was pretty good.

Great atmosphere. Harry's is situated on the Plaza level in the downtown area tucked away in a little corner with a nice outdoor patio. You can eat inside in a table or booth or even enjoy the bar. We sat in a U shaped booth that surprisingly sat our party of 7 comfortably with room to spare but still close enough to talk. They serve an outstanding jambalaya with chicken, shrimp and sausage which packs a little bit of a punch. Three of us ordered this and enjoyed it immensely. Two of my family members ordered the mahi mahi. It was a thick piece of fish that was cooked perfectly. It looked so juicy and tasty. My wife got the shrimp and grits. It came out in one big bowl with three sections. One section was the grits and then a section in the middle which was a grilled sausage. The third section was some kind of sauce with shrimp. I tasted it and enjoyed the flavor!

The New Orleans influence is evident throughout the menu. The prices and food were decent--not outstanding, but still very good. The service was excellent, especially with Kayden taking care of our party of eight. The crab claws were tasty but a bit disappointing, as I expected them to be served in a sauce rather than fried (my oversight for not reading the description). The portion size was generous, which was a nice touch.

First time visiting this location. We now have been to every Harry's location and they are always consistent! The food is always fresh and delicous! We had the andouille crusted grouper $17.99 with sweet corn grits and the Harry's signature crab cakes $17.99 with red beans and rice. Everything was so good! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Every item we have tried has been fresh and full of great flavors! You can sign up to receive their emails. They will send you occasional discounts, $10 off birthday and anniversary coupons. They also offer gift cards deals frequently. Great way to save $$ and keep you coming back!

Nice ambiance and a local fafavorite . The crawfish etouffee is as equal to anything you'd find in New Orleans.

I'm not sure if I would drive 12 hours but I would drive 4 hours for this place. It's just a lost "art"! The menu has so many options..... I am a huge fan of New Orleans style seafood and this place is a great spot for all of that and other things. We sat in a booth but we we're aware of other large parties. Everyone was celebrating and the atmosphere was exactly what I thought would make us feel comfortable and safe. We were able to hear each other but not feel like our privacy was being invaded. This is a rare place. I miss restaurants like this one! The drinks arrived and then the appetizer and finally our "food" arrived. We had just enough time to savor one and then the next item rolled in. It's an "art" to dine and to be treated to a performance like this dining event.......We'll definitely be back!

Food and service were excellent. I got the shrimp and scallops orleans and my friend got shrimp and grits. Do not pass on the boudin balls. They don't look like much but they were outstanding. Moist and exploding with flavor and the sauce had like a horseradish vibe that was unreal delicious. The scallops and shrimp were cooked perfectly and I've never had a grit cake before but oh my god was it good.

Very good. Traveling for work, I took clients here for lunch. Casual classy is a good description. Seating inside or outside available. We had a party of 8 for lunch on a Wednesday and they were easily able to accommodate. Food was delicious. I splurged calorie wise and had the Shrimp & Grits (I mean, how could I not?). Rich, sweet, savory goodness. The shrimp were the perfect size too. Service was good. No complaints. I'd absolutely dine here again.

Went with my son. He had the fried chicken sandwich and I had the crab crusted red fish. The fish was cooked perfectly. The topping was more the crab stuffing (think stuffed flounder) and I didn't detect a lot of crab. Service was good. Food delivered quickly. Atmosphere was good. The bar area is good with large bar to sit at. Easy for a drink while waiting for your table .

My gosh, their bread and that garlic spread are redonkulis! I could eat 3 loaves. Shrimp po boy is my favorite. Their po boy sauce is ok, but would be much better with a remoulade or zestier sauce. They have an outstanding happy hour with half off drinks from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm every day and all day on Tuesdays. My server was Emma, and she was really nice. Never batted an eye with my requests for bread and drink refills. I highly recommend Harry's.

Popped in for a quick lunch at Harry's after graduation. We sat at the bar and were serviced immediately. We ordered Hurricanes to drink...they were really tasty and had a good alcohol ratio. Our food was so good. I personally had the Shrimp & Scallop Orleans. It had a really good flavor especially with the grit cake to balance it out. The greens were good too. We didn't have bread before our meal so we asked to take some home. The bread and that garlic butter are SO GOOD.

It's certainly not authentic Louisiana food. But if you look past that, it's not even food that is all that great. We went for dinner on a recent week night and the place was busy. Server took drink orders and dropped off a basket of bread and herbed butter. The drinks were brought by a runner and were pretty tasty (the prices were happy hour prices, which were reasonable; I think their normal cocktail prices are on the high side). Bread was tasty, but the butter was way too cold to spread. We ordered fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, small salads, and an entree each. The fried green tomatoes were hot, perfectly cooked and very tasty. We really liked them. Oddly, as we were eating the appetizer the server came by to ask if we wanted our salads with the appetizer (which was already mostly eaten) or with our entree. No option to have it between the appetizer or entree, which is what we would have preferred. So we asked to have them with the remainder of our appetizer. The salads were also very good: crisp and fresh with good dressing (mine was honey mustard). When we were almost, but not quite done with the salads, the server arrives at our table holding our entrees. She hadn't cleared the appetizer plates when they were done (even though she walked by the table and saw we were finished with the appetizer). And she made no move to clear the salad plates or appetizer plates. She actually didn't say a thing; she stood there waiting for us to finish our salads and to move the plates out of the way so she could set down the entrees. That's done pretty disappointing service right there. So we piled those plates at the front of the booth, she put down the entree plates and took away the appetizer and salad plates. I had the crab cakes, which the menu said was a speciality and the server said was excellent. Yet they were pretty bad. They were cool in the center, a bit undercooked, and very mushy. Not my idea of crab cakes. The smashed potatoes side was tasty, but a bit gluey. All in all a very mediocre entree. The server came by and we were clearly done with entrees. She asked if we wanted dessert and we said no. She then left and didn't clear any plates. She came back with the check, put it on the table and also didn't clear any plates. She walked by a few more times and neglected to clean off any of the dirty plates. So the fried green tomatoes and the salads were solid 5 stars. The entree and service were a solid 1 star. That averages to a 3 star mean for me.

Just me and no seats at the bar. They were on a wait list at 0730 on a Wednesday night. The bar did not impress me as I waited longer that needed to get a beer. After about 15 minutes and no beer, I walked up to the hostess stand to look over a menu and she said that she could seat me. I ordered the she crab soup and stuffed shrimp. The crab soup was some of the best I have ever tasted. Get a bowl and not a cup. The stuffed shrimp were also very good. There were a few other menu items that I was debating over, but this was a great choice. My service was great. I would return.
