A Houston Restaurateur Brings Southern Eats to Downtown Dallas | Eater Dallas

"A historic downtown structure at 1933 Elm Street that underwent a major renovation by local developers who originally planned to lease the space but ultimately repurposed it to house a Southern-style, Black-owned restaurant aimed at filling a gap in the central business district and supporting similar food-and-beverage ventures." - Brittanie Shey

After going to the K&K in DC, I was excited to go to this one here in Dallas. I appreciate the atmosphere/vibes are overall the same. I appreciate the food and drink levels are consistent. Glad to have met Easy-E 😂 and happy to have walked away with a another good K&K experience. Would recommend and would go again.

I visited Kitchen and Kocktails and the experience was amazing. The atmosphere is great we sat upstairs so we had a view of downstairs. Liked how the Dj played music while you talked and ate. The food was amazing I had the short ribs and collard greens. Drinks were so good and the pecan pie bread pudding was so amazing. It can get kinda pricey but it's worth it

True Kitchen again!! For brunch this time, the brunch was delicious!! We had fried fish and grits and a blackberry patron Margaritas, dusse peach drinks, omg the fish was on point and the sauce that was on it was great, the fish was not salty at all which you can get sometimes with their food. My family had cinnamon waffles, they were so soft and buttery! Everything was good this time.

We went to Kitchen + Kocktails. We had a 2pm reservation to only wait 39 mins in a line, with no waiting area. Once at the table we were served water in the tiniest glasses. Ordered a appetizer, deviled eggs. They lacked any type of flavor. The shirmp served on top of the eggs lacked flavor as well. However they did have music playing and the DJ was great! I ordered a drink the Peach D'usse Frose. It was really good. That's where anything delicious started and ended. The food was NOT good. I ordered the catfish which is served a la carte and a side of blackeyes peas. The rest of my party ordered shrimp and grits, and pork chops. They did not finish their overpriced, tasteless food. Overall if you are looking for a vibe and some good drinks then give Kitchen + Kocktails a try. If you're hungry stop somewhere else.

Kitchen & Kocktails food is always excellent. Service was a little slow, but we enjoyed.
