An absolute must try! I stopped in on a whim for a bagel. Ended up with lox and cream cheese bagel piled very high with lox! It was excellent. I'll definitely return to try all the many other menu items.

Ordered an asiago bagel and gingersnap latte while killing some time in the afternoon. Bagel was great with some chive cream cheese, baristas were super nice, and I appreciated the local art on the walls. Plenty of seating in case anyone would want to work. I did notice my latte (and other customers drinks) was served in a to-go cup even though I was dining in. Serving in mugs would be better for the environment.

Visited on a Sunday morning with 4 friends. It was my first time visiting there. The first thing I noticed was that it was very busy and kinda chaotic, but not noisy at all and the staff were super friendly. They have a pretty strong menu. I got the steak and egg bagel. One of my friends got a pastry. Another got their egg sandwich. They were all tasty. And served in a reasonable time frame. It was really cool to find out they have a second dining area that is specifically a quiet space. We ended up eating there and it was a great place to just relax and chat with friends

Casual coffee shop with a variety of food to choose from the food menu. I had the salmon bagel with a side of tomato soup. My friends got the Hartford Gyro and Biscuits and Gravy and both loved their food too. The portion is large enough and it’s well priced. The coffee shop is located south of the Tower Grove Park so you could visit it while visiting the park.

Hartford Coffee is one of my go to places for breakfast. They have a varied selection of dishes, and many can easily be made vegetarian. The have 4 drip coffees available at any given time to choose from ready to go, 1 decaf, and 3 other flavors that rotate. They also have a large selection of latte flavors to choose from. They have managed to keep prices low compared to other breakfast places in the area which is a nice bonus.

Went in yesterday afternoon to get some caffeine. Only one work made nonchalantly drinks when he wasn't pausing to take additional orders - while others were back in the kitchen. He was clearly confused and overwhelmed by the slow, steady line of tickets that came in. After 35 minutes, we check in on our missing drinks. The worked claimed he made the drinks and that one of the lovely customers must have stolen our two drinks. He never make the drinks. Frustrated and uncaffeinated, we asked for a refund. He said "I only work here, I can't do a refund." He would have to text his boss. Never got the drinks or the refund.

I used to frequent this place, but the coffee quality has really gone downhill, especially the iced coffee. It tastes like ash. The food has never been great, but has really gotten more and more bland. I used to excitedly recommend it to anyone who was going to be in the area. Now, I only go as a last resort because it’s in the neighborhood. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this place in the slightest.

A true gem! This coffee shop was everything I could have hoped for and more! Inviting, great selection of drinks and food, and fast and friendly service made it a daily stop on our trip to St Louis. The cinnamon rolls are PHENOMENAL, and the muffones are the best parts of a muffin and a scone, and amazingly delicious! My only regret is that I discovered it while on vacation and I don't live closer.

Fun little cafe with a nice kids area in the back. Food and drinks came out quick. The drinks were very sweet for me (got a London fog). The food was delicious but got cold quick since it was cold out (visiting from sunny Florida haha).

The staff is incredibly friendly and the coffee is good, with not too bad of prices! It wasn't very busy when I stopped by (midafternoon during the week). Plenty of parking along the streets. It's a nice spot tucked away near Tower Grove Park so it makes a great stop if you're out and about.

Hartford Coffee Co was such an easy & convenient stop for me during my errands! The Salted Caramel Coconut iced latte was delicious & so was the cinnamon roll! They even warmed up the cinnamon roll for me. The menu is large with so much to offer & plenty to choose from. The food came out super fast & convenient the wait wasn't long at all. Plenty of seating inside making it great for an individual or a group! Make sure to check them out!

Currently my second visit, today I decided to stay for food. And thats what I did ! The weight was kinda long. But here I'm eating now . I order the breakfast bowl, had the choice of bacon sausages or spinach I choose bacon imean who wouldn't , it's actually a jalpeno bacon. Adds a nice spice to the bowl.. interesting flavors i can dig it for a quick bite or sit down !

Quiet Sunday afternoon at Hartford's, I haven't been here in probably a few years. The sugar-free hot caramel latte I got is perfect in temperature, it's decent in taste. My partner's caramel frappe I'm told is delicious! Service was a little slow, but very sweet personality. I would come again.

My friend suggested Hartford for a brunch meetup this morning and what a great choice! Super cute spot in TGS and the best iced chai latte of my LIFE. We also ordered food and I loved my club sandwich and chips and she her bagel and lox. The staff was super sweet and attentive, there's tons of street parking, and the vibe is immaculate. Definitely check it out!

I've always driven by Hartford Coffee but this was my first time going in and I loved it! Everything from the food, drinks and environment were what I needed. There is lots of seating with large tables perfect for working or studying. Also a LOT of outlets. High ceilings with tons of light and windows which I'm sure if it weren't a gloomy day would've offered plenty of natural light. The barista was super friendly and my food was brought out within five minutes. Food and drinks were super well priced and I highly recommend. There's also a little children's play area!

I love Hartford Coffee so much! First off, the patio/ sitting area outside is so cute. Lots of space for dogs and a great spot to soak in the sunshine. This particular visit, we walked in and the line was moving quickly. I love their breakfast sandwiches, so I ordered one with bacon (egg and cheese) on an everything bagel. I also ordered a sugar free iced latte. My total was 12$- it's truly incredible how their prices are so low when everything seems so high. Everyone is always so kind and pleasant that is working. The sandwich was super great and simple. The latte was delicious as well. Their coffee always gives me the caffeine jolt I need. I always enjoy coming here and look forward to getting a baked good next time. They look delicious.

Super fast on the drinks and a little slow on the food. If you just need a drink go for it. If you want to eat build in 10-12 minutes and then you should be fine. Food has been decent and hot so that's a plus. Drinks are pretty good too! Never had a parking problem.

I came here yesterday for a quick stop for an iced caramel latte and ordered their original gooey-butter cake. This shop is within walking distance if you are close to Tower Grove Park. The space itself is alright, and it has plenty of tables and seats, but their gooey-butter cake was delectable! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I adore Hartford Coffee so much and am thankful it's in my neighborhood! Recently tried the Salted Carmel Coconut Latte and it was amazing!! It's a great place to get some work done if you're out and about and need to crack the ole lap top open during the week but can get hectic on the weekends. They make a variety of gooey butter cakes and they're always a hit to take to an event if you need to bring a dish. If you're in a hurry the pre-made coffee in carafes is always a fresh, delicious and affordable option. They've done a fantastic job at creating a sense of community..come in and see for yourself!

I doubted I would get enough for breakfast, but I was wrong. I ordered a breakfast bowl with eggs, sausage, cheese, tomatoes, spinach, and avocado. It was delicious and filled me up. We ate inside and got refills on the brewed coffee. All the staff had great attitudes and answered our questions.Everyone in my family liked their baked goods. They had many choices of brewed coffee and expresso-based coffees. The service was not slow even though many people were coming in.

I Love the vibes here. It's a great place to stop to get some work done or just hang out over coffee w d snacks with your homies. The food menu is big and has plenty of options for everyone! Bring a book and hang out get some sandwiches or some sweets and enjoy this little tower grove gem.

Oh holy coffee beans Batman!! I wish that I could just pack this awesome establishment into my bags and take it home with me when my vacation is over! I have been fortunate to have Hartford Coffee Co within walking distance during my stay in St. Louis. The locally-owned neighborhood coffee shop sells organic coffee blends from Ethiopia, Brazil, Columbia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Peru, Bolivia, New Guinea, and Mexico in light, medium, and dark roasts. The beans are roasted quickly while suspended on a bed of hot air (fluid bed air roasting) and the result is amazing. In addition to the outstanding coffee, breakfast and lunch are served all day. The prices are more reasonable than any I have seen in quite some time! The breakfast bowl and the Greek salad are both scrumptious and the portions are beyond satisfying! On-street parking within the neighborhood is easily found. Several outdoor tables are available, and indoor seating is available too. Each table has its own electrical outlet!! Such a welcoming space. Every employee was masked and masks are required when not seated inside the shop. When visiting the St. Louis area I highly recommend this shop!

Recently found this gem during a fall vacation tucked away in a revitalized neighborhood adjoining the Tower Grove Park. district in St. Louis. This place is an oasis for those searching for a coffee shop / bistro / cafe complete with wifi and great coffee drinks, pastry desserts, sandwiches and assorted brunch items. Many select blends of organically-grown coffee from around the world are available. The Hazelnut latte and Chai apple cider drinks were the bomb! We simply ordered on line and got a text when the order was ready. It is also quite affordable for those on a budget. Seating both inside and out with greatly expanded hours of operation. What an awesome relief from the AirBNB Keurig (i.e. assorted flowers of acid grog).

They are rude and evil; the vibe is atrocious and rotten; it is obvious that several staff are contemptuous towards customers, raising questions about their hiring practices. They require their customers to do physical labor (put own plates and dishes away), and are completely insensitive to people's disabilities, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and medical privacy. If you don't put your plates away, they rudely confront you in other customers. The kitchen manager (Logan) was extremely rude and should not be allowed to work there. He refused to write down the owners' names or the store phone number, forcing me to email myself the information; and provided no receipt for my full refund that was promised but not processed. He intentionally was being difficult and disdainful, again, in front of many customers. Why should anyone feel comfortable there? I have not received call back as requested nor the refund I was promised. Hartford Coffee should liquidate and dissolve in order to stop mistreating the community. Update: REFUND still not received as of Nov. 27, 2023. They are a bunch of liars and thieves.

Great Staff! Wonderful food and great prices! I really enjoy the environment to study in! If you are in tower grove park and need a snack or coffee THIS IS the spot. And they have rewards so might as well stack up your earrings while you can!

Not sure where to start. The fact that we waited over 30 plus minutes for a to-go order or that they gave me onions when I SPECIFICALLY asked them not to. Why give us the purpose of customizing a burrito if you're not going to honor the persons request in the first place? Save your money and go elsewhere. This is not worth the price or the hassle.

the food is ok here but inconsistent, and coffee is honestly really mid. i like the ambiance, it's a really cute place with lots of plants but ruined by really rude service and wifi that doesn't work at all

Went here early on a Sunday morning for an order pickup. They weren't busy, so although the app said it would be ready in 30 min, it was more like 10-15. For order pickup, they are very organized. They have a set of numbered shelves, and when you get the message that your order is ready, it gives you the shelf number. Super simple. If you'd rather stay and eat, they have seating inside and outside. For the chorizo sammie, I would suggest adding something. It was good and larger than I expected, but I think this would have been even better with salsa, jalapeños, or one of the other options. With its location, if you're going to something in Tower Grove Park, this would be a really convenient spot to get a snack or some caffeine. I was surprised at how close it was. Overall, good neighborhood coffee shop with nothing too pretentious. It is probably a bit better for the casual coffee drinker, just because they tend to go for the something for everyone model.

Clean and comfy coffee shop - decent amount of outlets and also a 'quiet section'. The drinks here are extremely reasonably priced and tasty! The food is good, only complaint is that it does take awhile to deliver. We had a Ham and Gouda sandwich and a Sausage and Egg sandwich on an everything bagel as well as a lemon poppy seed loaf to tide us over while we waited for our food. Everything was hot and delicious!

Perfect Vietnamese Iced Coffee. I've not come across a coffee here is STL that has it and it was amazing! They staff is so nice and the cafe smells like bread heaven. They have breakfast and sandwiches and it all looks wonderful. I can't wait to come back. Cute outside seating that stayed shaded while I was there on a 2 hour meeting! Come and give them your money!!!

The coffee is good but it does take a little longer for food to come out. But it's a great place for local coffee.

Great place for coffee! Got a sugar free Hazelnut latte which I was pleasantly surprised by most places don't have many of any sugar free/low cal flavor options but this place offers a lot. I also tried a pumpkin iced coffee which was just the right amount of sweetness.

Comfortable. Quiet. Tasty coffee, teas and chocolate chip cookie. Service was average.

This establishment has zero customer service. I thought this would be a cute place to try walking from our Airbnb. However, upon arrival I did not have a mask. Despite being vaccinated and having my card, the establishment would not provide me a mask or fulfill my order. I would recommend Fiddlehead Fern Cafe if looking for coffee. They too, require masks but will supply them if you forgot! They will also fulfill orders and deliver them outside.

There are lots of great coffee places near Tower Grove Park and Hartford Coffee Comapny is definitely one of them. I visited for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed the variety of food and drink options on their menu. The Bagel and Lox featured an abundance of cream cheese and salmon and was delicious toasted on an everything bagel - I also enjoyed my standard coffee choice (the red eye) in the nice, spacious interior. I look forward to visiting again when weather's a bit nicer, with all of the outdoor seating options available. Definitely recommend stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or a quick coffee break.

This is a no-frills coffee shop that makes a great place to hunker down and study or write a paper if you can't stand being in your house a second longer. They have a lot of cheap food options, including salads, sandwiches, pastries and chips. The food is not fancy but it gets the job done and will keep you satisfied while you work. I had a brownie with coffee and my husband tried the pastrami sandwich with an Italian soda-- both were simple but good! Service: Everyone was really nice. They accidentally gave my husband a grilled cheese sandwich instead of pastrami but didn't complain about having to make a new one. (Haha, I was secretly hoping they would let us just keep it because I was hungry and it looked good, but they threw it away.) Internet: While I was here, the internet was going in and out. Not sure if that is typical or just an anomaly, but something to keep in mind if you rely on a steady connection. Space: I really appreciated the spacious tables. It also seemed like there was a decent amount of seating for a small-ish community spot. Vibes: I really enjoyed the community feel. The shop is situated in the middle of a neighborhood and seems to attract an eclectic crew. Masking: You must wear a mask to order. They will turn people away who are not wearing them. You can unmask at your table though. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and look forward to coming back!

If you're in St. Louis and you're with kids looking for a quick, tasty breakfast- Hartford Coffee Co is for you. I was staying with friends who have an active toddler and they suggested getting breakfast here. The menu is a bit limited but who doesn't love breakfast sandwiches? Quick and easy. I enjoyed my bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwich. Their coffee is delicious. I suggest getting the bottomless cup. Upon arrival I was not sure what made this place kid friendly, looked like a regular cafe. Then we headed closer to the back and there was a section dedicated to kids with a table top train and other items for play. The perimeter of this area featured benches and tables so those who were with kids could keep an eye on them while being nearby. Lastly, they have two great patio areas. One in the back and one in the front. Nice place to enjoy a quick breakfast.

Amazing food and coffee. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy if you stop in on a Sunday. Great local place with a great coffee and food menu. A true gem.

God, I love Hartford. Their food is amazing and their coffee is both cheap and delicious. I like their pesto grilled cheese and Caesar salad but the Sammie with an Asiago bagel, Smokey bacon, tomato, & MOST IMPORTANTLY their feta dill cream cheese!!! The inside of the place is open now if you want to come in to order but they're still offering online orders. If you're unfamiliar with the menu I'd suggest looking at the online one and seeing the things you can add to your sandwich or coffee before you go. They have a bunch of bread and cream cheese options! I love that their flavored lattes for a 20oz is under $5! My favorite combo is caramel and lavender with oat milk. The lavender is subtle and compliments the caramel so well. They're fast and consistent service. The employees also still wear masks and require it u less you're at ur table. LGBTQA+ FRIENDLY!

Delicious food & the BEST chai!! Relaxing ambiance with a nice mix of people, the employees are so nice & prices are very reasonable.

This place is just fine. To be fair I only had a matcha latte (which are probs hard to do really well), but I really was unimpressed by it. The cafe is pretty good for studying with lots of tables and plugs, but the vibe isn't anything too special.

Loved the atmosphere, the coffee was okay and their was a longer wait for food. But the staff was very welcoming.

This is such a cute place, it's tucked away in a tower grove neighborhood. I started going to Hartford when I was in grad school. They have a quiet room in the back that is perfect for knocking out work without a ton of distractions. They're also very close to tower grove park, so if you need a break you can take a short walk to the park. If you're not doing school work. They have a lovely patio that's fenced in, can't see it well from the street and indoor dining area that sometimes has music. The coffee is great and you can purchase beans to take home! However, I must say I wasn't the biggest fan of their cold coffee, it's been very bitter both times I've tried it. Great salad and soup options for lighter fare. Great breakfast plates. Excellent service. Overall, great neighborhood spot.

I used to really love this establishment and was a frequent patron throughout the pandemic, however something has happened and it's causing the consistency and quality to go down. I am not sure if it's due to a shift in employees or if they've changed their supplier - but I've had to throw away my coffee the last three times I've gone. Three stars because I can no longer justify driving from Affton to spend $20+ on items for my fiancé and I that we aren't able to enjoy. However, if I'm already in the neighborhood I may stop in for baked good because those are still the bomb.

Coffee is fine but you have to order online and they sit the order on one of a bunch of tables... People are vaccinated - it's time to open up for a bit of joy.

Hartford is the perfect place for when you just want to get out of the house and chill in a low key, non pretentious cafe. It's got just what you need, from a full meal to just desert and of course the coffee. Attentive, pleasant service to boot. Blueberry scone is very very yummy and London fog hits the spot too.

I'm new to STL and found this place while driving by. Walked in this past weekend and missed the sign on the door that I needed to order online. The entire time I stood in there, I was never greeted, but stared. I placed an order online. Chocked up the silence go be being busy, but does it really take a whole lot to say hello? Maybe. Got two things, the chicken biscuit and the bagel sandwich. Biscuit was really good. I think at this point, they could start in person ordering. It feels impersonal for no reason at this point. Wouldn't go back, but I hope they continue to serve the community in which they reside. The london fog was really good!

I'm always looking for good coffee shops to study at and this one is great! Usually not too busy so easy to get a table and the food is much more affordable than other places. They also just opened a quiet zone area for people to study or work!

Great coffee and food, but somewhat limited parking. Their cold brew will certainly wake you up!. I like that this is by a pokestop, so friends and I can trade while luring pokes and spinning the stop, all while being super close to our go-to of tower grove park for catching pokemon. Service is super friendly. They'll even bring food orders to your table!

The breakfast sandwich with jalapeño bacon does not disappoint!! Large portion and very tasty. Will be going back again for it.

I love this local coffee shop!! Quality of their coffee blends is amazing and their customer service is excellent! When you go, you should also try their yummy treats...scones, muffins and even a combination of the two! Side note - they are a huge supporter and contributor to the local community!!

This place always has reliably good coffee & food. Love to get the specialty latte and they have a very good savory scone with rotating flavors. Possibly the best bagel breakfast sandwich I've ever had - love that jalapeño bacon! They also have good dairy free and vegetarian options. Right now they are order online and pick up only but they were open for dine in for parts of 2021 do I'm hoping they open back up soon.

We ordered exactly 1 hour and 1 minute ago. Very simple. Frittata and bagel with lox. Still waiting. We tried to order online, but the website was sooo slow....we could not complete our order online, so figured we'd pop in. Can't revieee the food yet....

I love this coffee shop. Favorite place to go study. Nice vibes, great staff, and awesome patrons. There's even a dedicated quiet zone in the back that you can go study at if you don't like distractions. Plus the windows allow for great lighting. There's even a nice art wall that's frequently updated!

I love this place with all my heart. I usually get the breakfast sammie with jalapeño bacon and strawberry jam. Everything on the menu is amazing though. I have never had a bad experience in the 5+ years I've been going here. My secret is to order the Matcha lemonade and add a shot of vanilla.
