Google
The staple Japanese restaurant for Duluth area. With consistently great service, no wonder they have so many local regulars. The place is clean and inviting. Fish is always fresh. The portion is generous. Located in a small shopping mall, with plenty of parking. Staff are friendly. Highly recommend.

Google
I applauded the sushi chefs when we left. Everything was so fresh and absolutely delicious! We’re kind of sushi snobs and this place did not disappoint— highly recommend the Oishi roll. Service was also top notch!

Google
This place exceeded my expectations on every level. It's a hidden gem that deserves to be discovered by more people. If you're looking for an authentic, delicious, and affordable Japanese dining experience, this is the place to go!

Google
The takoyaki and sushi were good. Tempura upon was alright. Service was fast and good too. Would try again!

There are numerous Japanese/Korean Seafood restaurants that serve sushi and sashimi in the Koreatown in Duluth area and this is one of the longest standing places as long as I remember. We had sashimi omakase with some appetizers and they did not disappoint. Every seafood item was so fresh and well presented. No matter what you go there for, I think everyone should try the tofu appetizer and the crab meat appetizer. Shrimp karaage was good but the batter was on a bit of a thicker side. Place is very clean despite how busy it is, staff is very attentive, and service is prompt. This one is really hard to beat. 10/10

We go the "Create Your Own Dinner For Two" meal and we could barely stand because of how full we were. Tthe meal is a bit on the expensive side at ~$65, but you will leave with a full stomach I can guarantee that. The only food item that I would probably not get next time around is the Grilled Shiitake. It didn't taste bad, but it just wasn't for me, that's for sure. But you can't go wrong with any of the appetizers listed. Also, our waitress was awesome. She didn't even write anything down when we told her our order but we got everything we ordered with no mistakes and no delays. Overall great place, I would strongly recommend!

I have been a loyal customer of Haru Ichiban since my relocation to Atlanta in 2002. During that time, it served as a regular lunch spot for me and my colleagues. We even frequently organized company dinners at this restaurant since I was employed by a Japanese company. Today, I had the opportunity to revisit Haru Ichiban after more than a decade, and it brought back a wave of nostalgia. The atmosphere remained unchanged, and to my surprise, one of the waitresses recognized me. It turns out she has been working there for over 22 years, which is truly impressive! However, I discovered that there had been a change in ownership, and unfortunately, the quality and taste of the food, specifically the Grilled Mackerel (Saba) that I ordered, did not meet my expectations. I would rate it 3.5 out of 5 for taste. Similarly, my friend ordered Udon, but the flavor of the soup base did not possess the same authentic taste as it had in the past. Although I may return to this restaurant for the sake of nostalgic memories, I cannot confidently recommend it solely based on the taste of the food, unless the chef starts using fresher fish for the menu.

There were so many things I wanted to order that reminded me Japan but for lunch I settled for something light. I got the blackened tuna and a small bowl of misu. I can't believe I've been living in Lawrenceville for this long and haven't come here. I will definitely be back for that beef don.

Yelp
Haven't been here in ages. The soup and salad are good starters. This was the first place I had ginger salad dressing. Also it was the first place where I had the Wafu Spaghetti and it is still delicious. Service is impeccable as always. Haven't seen Michelle since I last have been there. She remembered us which was amazing. Looking forward to coming back again.

Yelp
The quality of the food is soooo good compared to their prices. The food is totally affordable, with very good flexibility so you could get what you want without being forced to spend your money on something else. Everyone was patient and friendly, and the environment is clean tidy and not noisy. Again the food was absolutely amazing, very very nice deal. Definitely would visit again and try more their food options.

Rachel L.

Yelp
Once again back in Duluth and HAD to stop by. They're still AMAZING and on point. This time we tried the Sunset Roll which was delicious. The lemon added a nice citrus to the whole roll. Our friends got the Gyudon and reported the meat and sauce was nicely seasoned. The chicken teriyaki skewer was ON POINT! Not too sweet, seems like they use chicken breast, seasoned well and juicy.

John H.

Yelp
Pretty packed last Friday when I ate. A good variety of food on the menu from sushi, ramen, and the standard fare of apps. Service was timely for refills and checking on us. Would go back if I was in the area.

Justin S.

Yelp
Sashimi was ON POINT. Thick cuts and fresh. Miso soup was bland and the salad had big chunks making it very difficult to eat with chop sticks. We had the pickle appetizer but nobody could explain the differences between each one. Service was adequate otherwise and she was able to identify each cut of fish for me. Ambiance was typical.

Vincent V.

Yelp
I have been coming here for a long time and always impressed with the quality of their fish and their attention to detail. Not the most glamorous inside feeling as some of the more modern sushi spots popping up everywhere but they make up for it with the food. The menu has changed a bit in the years and they always have some great special options. Service is super on point! I highly recommend this spot.

Carlos H.

Yelp
Delicious torched salmon roll. Staff could be friendlier and is a little awkward. Bathroom is a mess. Prices are a bit high. $7 for a California Roll and $9 for an Alaskan Roll. I shouldn't have to spend $63 for a decent sushi roll combo. Make things are more attractive and I would have ordered more food. Charging $27 for Unagi don is also criminal. The vibe is old school Japanese sushi bar and I do like that. It's a dying breed of restaurants. Still...pretty tasty. Only thing saving this spot.

Amber P.

Yelp
This place was very nice and clean! The staff was really welcoming and the vibe was cozy. The ramen was really good and they gave us a big portion which was very filling!

Tiffany S.

Yelp
We happened upon this place while driving around Duluth and man, I'm glad that we did! They have a huge menu with so much on it- ramen, sushi, soups, rice plates, so many things! Even the pickiest of eaters can eat here. I chose the Chicken Karaage Ramen while my partner got all sushi- a Salmon Roll, a Fatty Tuna Roll and Salmon Skin Roll. Everything was fantastic. Everything was fresh, it was the perfect temperature and the portions were large. I had lots of leftovers, but the sushi was all gone. All in all, we'll definitely be back. Everyone was friendly, the vibe was very modern, and one of the coolest parts-you could watch them make your food right in front of you. Go check them out!

Robin N.

Yelp
The food here is pretty good. The front desk originally told us it would be a 40 minute wait but they were actually able to seat us within about 5 minutes. The service can be a little slow since it's a small business but the food is worth it. I saw the employees move tables around to accommodate large families and groups so they're pretty flexible. I would come back to try new items if I was in the area. No complaints.

Jessie V.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I's favorite Japanese restaurant in all of Duluth! The soft shell crab is amazing, the uni felt fresh, their eel is soft and tender, and their sushi is delicious. It's a cute smaller restaurant that's quieter with the most sweetest and attentive waitstaff and sushi chefs. They provide you with a little towelette for your hands and edamame and seaweed salad.

Annie M.

Yelp
This is a solid Japanese restaurant. The menu is massive and they have just about everything from small plates, kushiyaki, okonomiyaki, takoyaki.. probably more yakis. Sushi, sashimi, bento boxes, tray style meals, and much much more They're on a strip so plenty of parking. The shop itself is a decent size but not huge so wouldn't be good for large parties inside. We ordered the haru ichiban sushi $50 but they were out of uni so I was pretty bummed about that. We also ordered takoyaki which was delicious here. A must try, buttery, melty dough and tons of flavor. Brother in law ordered onigiri and let me try.. it was good but so much rice in comparison to filling. The sushi platter was very generously sized and had a few good pieces of tuna on there. It's supposed to come with a miso soup but they forgot, but I didn't say anything because we were full anyway. The fatty tuna maki roll was excellent. I wasn't crazy about the salmon roe pieces on the sushi platter but most everything else was good Good option in Duluth... And maybe just slightly higher price than comparable sushi places.

Karen Z.

Yelp
My partner and I have been going here for ages!! They have the best quality ingredients in our opinion and is definitely vegetarian friendly! I had the vegetarian gozen dinner set, and it's a lot of food!! Would definitely recommend!!

Cathy P.

Yelp
Why haven't I come here for sushi I'm so long? I need to add this back to my rotation. The sushi rolls are huge and that doesn't mean they are oversized with rice. Instead they are filled with fish so your bite is packed with flavor and the good stuff. There's a variety on the menu so next time I plan to get sushi as an appetizer and try other dishes. We ordered: Chicken Karaage- fried chicken nugget bites. Kids loved this of course. Oishi Roll- Nice stack and presentation. Spicy tuna, avocado & crab stick On top: Albacore tuna, salmon, roller coaster batter Sunset Roll- Spicy tuna, asparagus tempura & avocado On top: salmon, albacore tuna, thinly sliced lemon. Served with ponzu. This was very lemony which can overpower the sushi. Midori Roll - Inside: Yellow tail with scallion, Avocado On top: Salmon, Spicy Tuna & tempura crunch I'll be back.

Burton M.

Yelp
I have been coming here for a long time. During the pandemic I did a lot of takeout. They have some delicious rolls Spicy Mt. Tuna and the Spider roll are terrific. Staff is friendly. My only dislike is the small wine glasses. Good selection of beer.

Nafi K.

Yelp
Some of the best sushi in Atlanta!!! Some of the best Uni I've had. Fish is always fresh. If sushi isn't your cup of team, they have an extensive menu. Ramen is great as well

Iz B.

Yelp
I really love the ambience of this place. It's great if you're not looking for something too modern and perhaps more on the traditional side. I got some ramen here with my mom, and I found it nice how it wasn't as rich as ramen of other places I've been too. I'd say service was pretty good too, the waitresses checked 1-3 times if we wanted anything else. I am kinda sad she took some of our plates early, though I'm at fault for not speaking up about it

John H.

Yelp
Haru has been a neighborhood staple with authentic Japanese chefs and a large menu. Purely food based review: Pick 2 Dinner - Hamberg and Tempera Set: For ~$20 you can get a lot depending on your choices. I went with a juicy Hamberg that came with wedge fries, and a nice tempura set that comes with super large portions! Fatty Tuna roll - Amazingly fatty and worth it if you had to pick one roll. Special Ramen - don't know if this changes but it was a very light and healthy broth with plenty of noodles.

Rose E.

Yelp
This is probably one of my top 3 Japanese restaurants in Duluth. Honestly, it's more of a dive than a nice, posh restaurant...and I really don't like how small and cramped their eating quarters are. Not comfortable at all...especially for someone like me who loves space! HOWEVER. Their foods are EXCELLENT! I've had this "Rainforest" Sushi Roll before, and I was stunned with its beauty...and amazing taste! So much so that I had to repeat this order of the "Rainforest" Sushi Roll. Well, sadly, the presentation wasn't as spectacular this time around (compare the pic from my previous visit!), but still colorific nevertheless. Also, tasted phenomenal...just as before. I've only had this same dish (twice), but already it totally makes sense that this is a Zagat-rated restaurant. There was also this major annoyance on this particular dining experience...in that this solo guy seated right next to me basically yelled out an essay of his fabulous life and achievements to strangers seated next to him. He went on and on talking loudly throughout my entire time there...WOW. THIS is another reason why I hate small restaurants and small spaces. Zero privacy...and when you encounter someone like this who has the need to share himself with the whole restaurant, it can basically ruin your dinner lol. So normally, an experience like this will make me wanna rate down the restaurant itself...I mean, OMG?!? Yet, I can't...their sushi roll was too damn good! For their food, I am willing to return to endure the small, cramped space and even the possibility of sitting right next to another loud, pompous asshole. Yes, THAT good!!

Jon B.

Yelp
The best and cleanest sushi around! Be coming here for over 20 years. Always the best quality and presentations.

Yelp
My husband is the one who introduced me to Haru Ichiban. He worked for a Japanese company that frequently ordered for the whole office from here, and he loved it so much that he brought me along. We have also brought my FIL as well as some friends. Now, I'm not Japanese, so I can't say how authentic Haru Ichiban, but my impression is a good one. Everything is absolutely delicious. My FIL is an "adventurous eater" as some would say and likes to order things that are uncommon on other menus. He ordered the miso soup with mussels, a conch dish, and the uni and he was delighted. He said the uni was among the best he'd ever had and that it was supremely fresh. In fact he pretty much licked his plates clean. To say he loved it would be an understatement. My husband likes the traditional non-sushi items (he won't eat raw rolls ) such as the wafu beef, and katsu. I'm a huge fan of their takoyaki. While the spicy tuna is the usual minced tuna, the spicy salmon roll comes with actual slices of salmon inside and not chopped up fish. Their fancier rolls are massive and works of art, they are so beautiful. Their serving staff are awesome and the service is great. It's always a pleasure to dine here. As an aside, checking the "not recommended" reviews section shows a lot of what appear to be fake accounts leaving 1 star reviews. It's sad that someone is trying to tear down a legitimately good restaurant.

Naomi T.

Yelp
I went there for my friend's 14th birthday. The food was delicious. One of my friends couldn't figure out what she wanted and we kept asking for more time. They were so patient and friendly. They even let us go to a different cafe for boba and our table was still there waiting for us when we came back. The place was cozy and so clean where I was seated.

Karla C.

Yelp
Service was amazing, staff is super nice and fast so that to me is always major points. The place is located in a shopping center and though it looks small from outside, it is spacious and clean. I will confess I have hard time deciding so I asked our waitress for a good sushi recommendation. Her favorite was the Sunshine roll and it was different but fresh, all of the rolls looked amazing though. Going specifically for the ramen, we ordered the Special one (sorry, can't remember the exact name) but my boyfriend loved it, I thought it was just ok. I would not hate on all of them, the other ones look appealing. Definitely a place worth checking out.

Jackie S.

Yelp
They do not disappoint! I order lunch take out every week. The staff is really nice and helps me bring out my big order as well. Looking at how pretty the food is packaged you know the food is good! I will be back again and again.

Amna C.

Yelp
We got dinner here last night and it was a pretty good experience. The booths were comfortable and there's a decent amount of seating in the restaurant, although at first glance I was wondering if there would be enough room to accommodate us. We wanted to order crab shumai, but they were out so the waitress recommended the shrimp shumai instead. It was not bad, could have been seasoned a little more, and I wasn't too fond of the mustard wasabi it was served with. We also had the miso soup, which was delicious, definitely hit the spot in this cold weather. For entrees, we ordered the Rainforest roll and the Haru Ichi Tuna roll. Both were very good, but the Haru Ichi roll was my favorite. Each bite was a pleasant blend of flavors and deep-fried goodness.

Alex K.

Yelp
Very delicious sushi and udong here. I hadn't had sushi in a while so I decided to go all out and try their deluxe chirashi. Assortment of sushi over rice, but the deluxe includes fatty tuna and uni (sea urchin - one of my favorites). Did not disappoint, every piece was spot on delicious in my opinion. I wouldn't definitely get it again. We also got the tempura udon, which had a huge serving size. It was a delicious meal and the staff is very friendly and quick. Great restaurant!

Suhana E.

Yelp
Came here on Saturday night around 6:30 pm. It was pretty busy with lot of full tables. I didn't have to wait. I was seated promptly and given a menu. I ordered bagel roll (sushi) and chicken karaage ramen (with miso soup base). The food arrived at reasonable time about 10 minutes and everything was excellent & well cooked. Prices are reasonable. Service is fast. My server was always quick and always checking if I needed anything. Food came out fast despite it being busy. I'll be back again.

Riche H.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places for Japanese food. I have been going here for YEARS. Food is delicious and service is excellent. Definitely try this place for some great Japanese food.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Fantastic menu and awesome service! We ordered the dinner for 2 , which included 2 soups and salads each plus a sushi (option A) for option with 12 pieces and 2 additional appetizers. Goyza was delicious. All of it was delicious, actually. Definitely recommend!

Taylor K.

Yelp
Good spot for groups, family, but also for a date. We got: - nabeyaki udon which was tasty. A bit too salty but I'm sure some people eat sodium like it's nobody's business. It comes with a shrimp tempura on the side. Yay. - tako yaki as our appetizer and frankly, it was just flour. Didn't really taste any octopus, fish, etc. it's also smothered in sauce so... you only taste the sauce - unagi super crunch roll was probably the best out of all the rolls we've ordered. Good balance between sauce and the actual sushi roll - ty roll, which had more fish than the other ones so Worth the price. - haru Ichi special... was basically a plate of sauce. It was a dish for the sauce that you got a bit of rice for... I can only tell you that the eel sauce was good, but the actual roll? Who knows! The sauce game in this restaurant is out of control and really takes the genuine taste of sushi away from the dish... I drank a gallon of water after this meal. Overall, mediocre fish entrees but pretty good service. I'd say 6.8 Gryffindor points out of 10. Ps: the thing that made this experience strange was there was this woman who could not stop staring at us... to all readers out there, don't stare. It's rude - obviously nothing to do with the restaurant but just a courtesy statement for humans.

Ashley F.

Yelp
my family has been coming here for over 10 years! I absolutely love the tuna special - it is so fresh and delicious. The sushi chefs are Japanese, and the staff are friendly and great.

Brandon H.

Yelp
So we went on new years eve. We had a great experience. The sushi was freshly made and the meals we got were really good. We all got different dishes and they were very good. The meal I got was more than I could eat. The bowl of Ramen one.of my.daughters got was huge. My wife and other daughter got meals that had sushi and tempura. It was all very good. The staff were very nice even though they were very busy.

David P.

Yelp
Food is exquisite service is great the ramen is is smooth and undeniably delicious I would recommend

Tom B.

Yelp
Today I order a meal, they messed up my order. They did not give me the meal that I paid for. When I go to the front desk to complain, they feel no sorry at all. I will not refer my friends to this place and will not go there again.

Ellie W.

Yelp
Super fast service and delicious food. The Quality was very nice and me and my mom enjoyed it a lot!

Nghia V.

Yelp
We decided to get some sushi's so we came to Haru Ichiban. We arrived at a late lunch hour and the place was still packed. We ordered the calamari. the rainbow sushi with tempura, the haru Ichi specialty roll, and the volcano roll. The calamaris were all small and not crispy. The tempura came with 2 shrimps and 3 veggies. The Haru Ichi special roll was my favorite. The volcano roll was good for the first bite. The octopus on too added a different texture to the roll. But the sauce overwhelmed the entire roll, I was tired of the sauce after my 2nd bite. Overall it was pretty good.

Xing C.

Yelp
Well, First time here, I order the Yaki Nasu that was so awful because It smelled like sth was burned and is steam eggplant , OMG this thing cause 7 dollars that was so terrible 。And then I order the Oyako Don , It smells like so fishy , I try the one bite and feel bad to continue eating。And My friend order Yakitori chicken skewers just so-so 。And Super spider roll was great because Shell crab is tasty and good 。And other friend order beef hamburger also yummy too 。 Waitress is nice!! I only give 3-stars based the food I got was bad but I will try other time for some tempura things maybe better 。

Farzana Z.

Yelp
No matter how much I'm being told to not eat outside because of the virus, I don't think I can help it. Especially, when it comes to sushi, I have no control. Haru Ichiban is a friendly Japanese restaurant. They have a variety of starters as wells as entrees. I ordered a whole bunch of sushi, starters and rice bowl. Personally, I didn't enjoy the rice bowl much because it smelled like raw egg all the way. The Boneless chicken pieces for appetizer felt very doughy and oily. Other that that, I enjoyed the sushi a lot. I'll go back for the crunch roll for sure! Tips- It would be nice to double check your order with your server because our server got confused and got us a few extra things that we didn't order.

Mercedes H.

Yelp
Took my parents here for dinner the other night. We got the Omakase for $54. It included a nice assortment of sashimi. The uni was very fresh and delicious. The Create Your Own Combo for Two ($60) was a great value. However, our selections were subpar. The garlic steak appetizer was dry and didn't have much garlic flavor. The Japanese style calamari was overfried. The ponzu sauce was a nice touch but made the calamari soggy. The roller coaster roll and the Snow White roll were large but very generic. I did not care for the spicy tuna roll. It was very fresh but the flavor just didn't do it for me. The Hari Ichiban Gozen ($33) included a lot of food. However, the wafu style ribeye was tough to chew. The tempura was delicious. Ramen Gozen ($29) - we chose the tonkotsu ramen and the broth was flavorful and the ramen was perfect. The Gozen meals both included a little slice of cake. The dynamite oysters ($19) were very good. You get half a dozen. I would definitely come back for the sashimi and ramen. May skip trying the steak items.

Lee V.

Yelp
Pork belly skewer was great as was the scallop.wrapped in bacon skewer. We had the sushi and sashimi combo with spicy tuna roll. The service was great with attentive staff. Great ambiance also.

Lucy O.

Yelp
Weekend dinner in Atlanta. Our go to place whenever we come over to Atlanta. This is our first time after pandemic. They still has paper menu, so even those who are not tech savvy can come and check with menu without straggling with QR code. The menu item seems less than what used to be, however their line up is still cover well enough to satisfy our appetite. Ordered sushi dinner and chirashi. Each piece of sushi was created nicely, not too tough, not too soft. Just tough enough to raise by chopsticks, but not soft enough to broken by touch of soy sauce. Each fish on sushi was fat to have good taste and feeling in the mouth. Chirashi was nice too. Ordered not the most expensive one (without uni and fatty tuna), but still had quite number of different fish were in it. Again, each fish was fat and really good. Both of those came with miso soup in the beginning.

Loan D.

Yelp
We were in the area and I could not stop myself and had to get Japanese food. This is located in a large complex and has plenty of parking. I decided to order a lunch combo with a roll and teriyaki chicken. The order comes with a complimentary miso soup and a salad. The soup, salad and rolls were ok. however I was a little bit disappointed in the chicken. I was large chunks of dried chicken breast. The sauce was average but was not able to salvage the meal. Overall, I think the food was average but was not satisfying - none of the food really would make me want to come back.

Trisha B.

Yelp
The quality of their sashimi never ceases to amaze me. I always fight with myself before getting the chirashi, since you could go to an all you can eat sushi buffet for the same price as their chirashi. But in the end? Their chirashi will get you full and make your belly happy! I decided to try their ramen again, and I was actually pretty impressed. I guess I had a bad experience with their ramen last time, but this time, the ramen was light, but full of flavor. Again, portion sizes are huge. Service is always wonderful. I would definitely recommend checking out Haru!

Kousee L.

Yelp
Pretty damn good. The restaurant layout is definitely not what you would typically expect but I didn't hate it. On a Friday night I was happy to wait only about 10-20min at 8-9pm. Ramen was waaaaaay better than expected!! I've heard the ramen wasn't that great but I disagree! Pretty tasty. And the toppings were delicious however the pork was a tiny bit tough so it got stuck in my teeth but I did have great portions. Rainbow roll was a table favorite. Fresh and amazing. I ordered the rainforest roll. It came out last but gorgeous. By far my favorite. Must try but a little pricey Overall, I had a great time. I will return :)

Chris S.

Yelp
Wow. What happened to this place? I believe there is new owners? Everything has changed. The food used to be so good here. The sushi used to be so fresh and their ramen was the best otp. Now? It was not even comparable with market sushi in the containers from Publix...the ramen was so bland. I made an order to go and it costed me $82. I ordered Chashu pork ramen and they gave me sliced pork chop pieces. That's what it resembled. Not the beautiful chashu they used to have. The California roll I could have gotten a better one from a gas store sushi container. The sashimi was not fresh as it used to be. Overall a very bad meal. We used to come here once a week to eat their ramen and sushi. Now we will look elsewhere. For ramen I will go to Samurai Ramen in Duluth. Their broth is 10 times better than Haru Ichiban. So sad that this place went down hill. Have your kitchen make food like it used to then I might come back. I will not come here again.

Yelp
* Heads up - I wrote this review with no filter. This was my favorite sushi restaurant in the area .....until yesterday. Ricky and I hopped in here for a quick Christmas dinner for the two of us before going for a romantic walk under some Christmas lights. We luckily came a little early so we were able to be seated immediately without any wait. The restaurant though was busy due to it being Christmas with shortage of staff for the amount of tables full so service was understandably worse than usual. This dosent bother me but thought I should mention it for other yelpers who might care about this. But what I did care about is this: Now, I dont know if its because Ive been in Hawaii for the past month and my stomach isnt used to the quality of sashimi back here in the Duluth area or they were possibly getting rid of the last bit of last weeks delivery of fish or whatever the reason may be but .... sadly yesterday on Christmas day after I ate sashimi from here I left with pretty bad food poisoning. Ricky and I did notice a few of the pieces looks questionable and smelled off but we ate them thinking the chef most likely knows fish quality better than us and would not dare serve bad fish to his customers. And I didnt eat anything earlier in the day (saving my macros for this cheat meal) so I know it was due to the food from here. Now, I dont mind minor food poisoning where your stomach just churns for a few hours .... but I do care when it gets bad enough to inconvenience your plans the few hours after your meal where you have to hug the toilet for a few hours and feel out of energy for the rest of the night while your body is trying to recover.....especially on Christmas, no one deserves to go through this. So instead of a romantic Christmas walk with the hubby through some Christmas lights....we spent it with Ricky holding my hair back for me and me hugging the toilet, followed by a nap with a heating pad on my belly. Ricky had to spend the rest of Christmas night alone. Very memorable Christmas evening Ricky and I will not forget.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Japanese places in the Atlanta area. They are consistent, authentic, and delicious. For the first time, I went for lunch during the work week to meet a friend and was not disappointed. The place smelled extra clean from all of the covid cleaning! Seats were well spaced out. Ordered the Takoyaki (6 pieces) and Combo with Mackerel and veggie crouquette. My combo also came with salad and miso soup. I was stuffed and had to take home leftovers.

Yelp
Third time I've been and still consistently the best prepared sushi around. Georgia bulldog roll and the special dragon roll I think is what it's called are both my favorite It saddens me that today I was given some of the worst tuna I've seen. Typically this is my go to sushi spot on the side of town but if they're willing to serve this I'm not sure if I'm going back. A reminder to check your food when taking out.

Yelp
I havent been here in a few years and boy was the sushi delish. This restaurant was packed but had no wait on a saturday at 630 to accommodate a group of 7. My 5 stars is strictly for the sushi. I tried three rolls including the unagi special 14.50, rainforest roll 14.50, and salmon super crunch 12.50. Honestly, they were all good but the rainforest was my fave. Yes, they sound like pricier rolls but they are larger than most places with 8 pieces. Also, they are so beautifully plated. I was blown away by the rainforest roll. 3 rolls was plenty for 2 people to share. Service was nice and different waiters tended to us. Food came out at a reasonable time. Will be back for more family style sushi!

Yelp
I heard so many good things about this place and finally got a chance to check it out. We ordered Omakase ($44) and were hoping for some good sashimi. However, the experience was a disappointing one. Apart from Salmon (which was tasty), nothing else tastes fresh. The tuna was too thick to chew. I really love good sashimi, and was sad that this place didn't live up to the reputation. The waiter also gave us the check way before we finished eating, when we were in the middle of a conversation. Overall, I didn't enjoy the food and wasn't happy about the price I paid for the Omakase.
